A convention celebrating comic books located at the Long Beach Convention Center, ( 33° 49' N 118° 9' W) Long Beach, California, United States of America, Earth (Earth-63, we think.). But it’s a little more. LBCC is an experience unlike other comic conventions. Developed by some of the industry’s most ardent supporters, it’s a gathering of professionals, fans, artists, celebrities (and possibly my mother) to enjoy all aspects of comic books and pop culture. Along with all the typical convention fare (screenings, panels, autograph sessions, artists and writers, costumes) we plan a few surprises.

]]>The Books & Beyond Festival is a free, family-friendly event held on the grounds of Southfield's outstanding public library. Some 30 or so local authors will be in attendance.

]]>Komikwerks/Actionopolis just returned from Comic-Con International in San Diego. This was our first year offering the Actionopolis titles at the big show and they were a big hit.
]]>Held Sunday, September 9th in Farmers' Market in the historic Kerrytown district of Ann Arbor Michigan, the festival features speakers, demonstrators, exhibitors and visitors, the second Community Book Award recipient, Josie Parker, the Director of the award winning Ann Arbor District Library.
The Actionistas will be presenting Actionopolis books at 4pm in the Kerrytown Concert House.

]]>Authors Dan Mishkin (The Forest King), Gary Reed (Spirit of the Samruai) and Rob M. Worley (Heir to Fire) will be celebrating "Kids Reading Month" with a store appearance at Borders in Troy, MI on Saturday, March 24th.
The signing will begin at 2pm.
Borders is located inside the Oakland Mall at the intersection of I-75 and 14 mile road.
The 24th is also "Educator's Savings Week", so it's a great opportunity for current and retired educators to check out these action-packed titles at a 25% discount!
