      <title>Have You "Burned Your Boats"?</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Have you “burned your boats”?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;div&gt;In other words, have you totally committed to being successful&lt;br&gt; in 2010?
&lt;p&gt;In case you don’t know what I am referring to, here is a&lt;br&gt; rough outline of  the story…..&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hernando Cortez discovered Mexico and the Yucatan&lt;br&gt; Pennisula in 1519.  He set out on this quest from Cuba and&lt;br&gt; discovered the ULTIMATE treasure of gold beyond any&lt;br&gt; riches ever seen before.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Upon arriving to the shores, he had his men “burn the boats”…&lt;br&gt; all 11 of them.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;His men now had no way home, subsequently they were&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;very motivated to move towards their goal.    Because retreat was&lt;br&gt; no longer an option – the were now fully committed!!
&lt;p&gt;As I said, they discovered some of the greatest treasures&lt;br&gt; known to man.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You see, when you are fully committed and do not allow&lt;br&gt; yourself to even entertain the thoughts of failure – your success&lt;br&gt; comes faster and is even more abundant than you could have ever&lt;br&gt; imagined.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is a big difference between the wildly successful people in&lt;br&gt; life versus the drones that are just going through the motions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Most wildly successful people are fully committed to wrenching&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;everything out of their experiences and towards achieving their goals.
&lt;p&gt;While the others, well, let’s just say their goals are usually limited&lt;br&gt; to “I hope I win the lottery tonight.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am a living testimonial to what I am saying.  I have been very&lt;br&gt; fortunate and have achieved more than most in business, but I have&lt;br&gt; also suffered more than most in business.  I am very familiar with both&lt;br&gt; sides of the tracks and I can tell you beyond any shadow of a doubt -&lt;br&gt; that the majority of you have what it takes to create an unbelievable life&lt;br&gt; for yourself RIGHT NOW – BUT YOU HAVE TO COMMIT TO&lt;br&gt; MAKING THAT HAPPEN.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;No half measures – BURN THE BOATS – FULL COMMITMENT!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Do not allow yourself to look back.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Get whatever tools that you need, surround yourself with inspiring&lt;br&gt; people, and put in the time and effort needed to wrench everything&lt;br&gt; out of your limited time here.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Food for thought, I turn 40 in a couple of weeks.  I am hopeful that&lt;br&gt; I have at least another 40 years to go.  If I do, that’s about 14,600&lt;br&gt; days that I have left to hang around here.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Why would I waste one of them?  This is my shot – I’m committed -&lt;br&gt; I want to create the ultimate life for me and my family.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;MY boats are burned baby – no looking back!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Let’s do it together in 2010!!&lt;/p&gt;

The Internet has allowed so many so-called gurus to pop up with little or no qualifications. They buy a mailing list, berate you with emails, and then play the law of averages hoping that a small percentage will purchase their program......it's a business! But it doesn't have to be your business! DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND DO BUSINESS WITH QUALITY PEOPLE THAT CAN REALLY HELP YOU GROW YOUR REAL ESTATE BUSINESS.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>I'm Refusing To Participate In The Recession</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I refuse to participate in all of this recession talk.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In fact, most of the people that I know are beginning to realize that they can do the same.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is it real? &lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;YES. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is the world crumbling around us? &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;NO&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is there an unbelievable opportunity all around us? &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;YES. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Am I personally and professionally doing everything that I can to make 2009 one of our best years? &lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;YES. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;First of all, there are no good or bad times.  All times are good times when you understand how and when to change your strategies.  We are truly blessed to work with people all over the country that are making more money now than they have ever made before.  They are employing new strategies and new techniques to identify opportunties.  People that wouldn't touch Short Sales a year ago are now making their living off of them.  &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Change is everything. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So I've decided....I am not participating in the recession and I invite you to not participate either.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;People are still spending money.  For those of you that watch our updates, you see that &lt;a href="http://www.1800sellnow.com/register.html" target="_blank"&gt;1-800-SELL-NOW&lt;/a&gt; is growing like crazy (now in over 200 markets and adding more everyday).  Our investment business at &lt;a href="http://www.memphisinvest.com" target="_blank"&gt;MemphisInvest.com&lt;/a&gt; experienced the single biggest year in sales that we have ever had (over 190 houses wholesaled this year).  While the tone of the general public is fear, the fact is that people are still spending money.  It's not that the amount of money has vanished, it's that people are hoarding and holding more than usual. People will continue to spend money on what they want to and that is the key.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During these types of climates, &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;you must get back to basics&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;. It's never how much something costs that determines the market, it's how much value you are providing to the market for the price.   How much people spend on something is determined by its value.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt; Value is always perception. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At &lt;a href="http://www.1800sellnow.com/register.html" target="_blank"&gt;1-800-SELL-NOW&lt;/a&gt;, we have mad a concerted effort to increase our services, bring in greater value-added services, and to increase the overall value of our service to our customers - and Voila, our brand and our company is growing like crazy in one of the toughest econimic times that the country has ever seen.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Some people took out loans they thought they could afford and now find out they aren't able to. OK.  Just about everyone that I know has been touched by this problem.  What to do?  Time to suck it up and deal with what emerges. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Stay in the present moment.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; I am fortunate to have survived some tough financial times in the past.  That experience gave me a great foundation to realize that you will always learn more in the tough times than in the easy times. Most of my greatest and most creative strategies and ideas came when I was broke and scared.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt; Now is not the time to crawl into a hole and hope.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Hope is not a strategy.  Embrace the fear that you have and let it drive you to attack life.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt; Now is the time to be inspired&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;.  Surround yourself with people that inspire you and want to reach new heights in 2009.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Do the things that are necessary to get you on the path to your ultimate success!!!  There is opportunity all around us.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can be one of them, or you can be one of us.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can particpate in the media madness or prepare for a dynamic future and brighter days.&lt;/p&gt;

Everything is a short-sale.  There are no equity deals anymore. There aren't any buyers in the market right now. Etc, Etc, Etc."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Well, while they are sitting around crying about it and saying it cannot be done, others are stepping up to the plate and taking advantage of all of these situations.  &lt;/p&gt;
