Thumbnail View for Images and Video - Both of these updates has been updated to the thumbnail view just like any other video or image hosting site. I would say it is according to the latest trends.

Changes are Welcome but ? New designs of layouts are always welcome but it really depends upon users whether they like these changes or not. Regarding my view I see this new design quite messy and over loaded unlike the previous one but they have done a great job updating Facebook design up to the latest trends.
