South India's slim beauty Ileana was recently in Chennai for the inauguration of choreographer Shoby’s IBO Dance School along with Kollywood's most happening celebrities Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Jeyam Ravi and K.S. Ravikumar.

When asked in a freewheeling interview at the event why she is taking a long time to make a comeback in Tamil, the actress said she has been getting lots of offers from Tamil after her debut Kedi.

"All along, I was busy with Telugu movies. Even now, recently I had agreed to do a film with Vikram under Vikram K. Kumar’s direction because the script was amazing. But unfortunately, the project is not happening now. I had listened to yet another script from Bhoopathy Pandian with the same hero playing the protagonist. I liked the script but am yet to sign on dotted line. Let’s see."

Ileana earlier made headlines when she turned down a role Rajinikanth’s Sultan The Warrior.

Talking about refusing this role, Ileana said: "When I realised it was an animated film and my face is not going to be shown, with the mutual consent with the film’s director Soundarya Rajinikanth, I opted out of Sultan."

Responding to rumours that she plans to undergo silicone enhancement, Ileana said: "Silicone treatment? Do I look like that? (Laughs) I will never ever even think of it even in (my) wildest dreams. I don’t want to play around with my body. Accept me as I am - this is my mantra."

Southern Beauty Actress Asin Next hindi film with Salman Khan

Asin’s Bollywood career is not over yet as her detractors would want to believe. The southern beauty who had started accepting films again in Tamil is said to have landed in a big Bollywood film opposite Salman Khan again.

The film is the remake of Telugu hit ‘Ready’. The big news here is Asin edged out Deepika Padukone to get this film to be directed by Anees Bazmee.

Salman and Asin continued to be good friends even after their earlier film together ‘London Dreams’ bombed. Sources say that it was Salman Khan who recommended Asin for the project.

‘Ready’ starred Ram and Genelia and was one of the super hits films of 2008 in Telugu. The film is being remade in Tamil as ‘Uthamaputhiran’ with Dhanush and Genelia.

How ever the producer of the Hindi version Bhushan Kumar of T-Series refused to comment on the casting but confirmed the project is on.

OSCAR - Academy Awards, Oscar 2010 Winners

We already wrote about possible winners and competition between- James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow, so we can say that we’re not at all surprised that this was Kathryn Bigelow’s night.

The Hurt Locker won 6 Oscars, including honour for Best Movie and Best Director.

So, Bigelow became the first woman to win an Oscar for Best Director.

On the other hand, the movie that still sits on the top of box office, James Cameron’s Avatar definetely had a bad luck. The movie won only 3 golden statues in technical categories – Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects.

We can’t help but think that this show really seemed like Bigelow’s sweet revenge.

Sandra Bullock was named best actress for The Blind Side after she proudly attended Razzie 2010 event and took completely different award.

“Did I really earn this, or did I just wear you all down?” she joked on Oscar’s stage.

Jeff Bridges won the Oscar for Best Actor in a leadingrole for Crazy Heart.

Austrian actor Christoph Waltz won the first Oscar for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds which unfortunately was the only prize for this great movie.

African American actress Mo’Nique took home Oscar for best supporting actress for role in Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.

Disney Pixar’s adventure Up won in the category of best animated feature. That gives Pixar Animation Studios five Oscars for animation since that award was first handed out in 2002. Up director Pete Docter accepted the award on behalf of the studio and his animation team.

The Hurt Locker defeated not only Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time, but also Inglourious Basterds, The Blind Side, District 9, and Disney/Pixar’s Up.

The Blind Side and Inglourious Basterds at least both took acting prizes but District 9, Up in the Air, A Serious Man and An Education were absolutely excluded!?

And yes, this is a little embarrassing!

After scoring music for father Kamal Haasan's recent blockbuster Unnaipol Oruvan (2009), pretty singer-actress Shruti Haasan will compose music for yet another film by her father.

She will reportedly be the music director in renowned Kollywood director K.S. Ravikumar's out-an-out commercial flick Yavarum Kelir, starring Kamal Haasan and Trisha together for the first time. Produced by Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies, the film will start rolling by March. More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, it is said that Shruti Haasan will soon make her debut in Kollywood opposite reigning actor Suriya in a film directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

To be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, this untitled film will have music by Harris Jayaraj. The shooting is expected to begin in April.

"Though Ajay and I play the role of a married couple in the film, there is no romantic angle; it's about the comedy that happens while trying to get relief from a person who comes as a guest and shows no signs of leaving," said Konkona after the music launch of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? here.

The film revolves around the story of Puneet (Ajay Devgn) and Munmun (Konkona Sen Sharma), a happily married couple living in Mumbai. Their life takes a turn when a distant relative Chachaji (Paresh Rawal) turns up unannounced at their doorstep from a far-off village.

The chaos that follows makes it a rib tickling comedy where the agonised couple tries various methods to get rid of him but fails time and again. The film was released Friday.

Ajay was all praise for Konkona's performance and maintained that it's always a pleasure working with a commendable actor.

"It was a great experience working with Konkona. When you act with a very good actor, it becomes a fantastic experience. People think that when we work, we compete with each other but if the other person works well, then only can you work better because filmmaking is teamwork," said Ajay.
