Examples of possible weed out questions may cover the integration OR layering of servers, the largest scale deployment they have done… That would be followed by a “kicker” question. This would be based on their answer To the “weed-out” question AND would dig in deeper To their citrix experience AND thought process for problem solving. An example would be the interviewer will give an example of a problem (this will most likely be an actual Mckesson situation but they won’t say that) AND ask the Candidate To walk them through how they would go about solving the problem. Again, the answer isn’t as important as the thought process behind how To get To a resolution. They will dig into specific Citrix systems such as 4.0 AND 5.0 AND try To figure out what they know AND have done with both. They may ask about Xen Server They might ask questions about: Console Presentation server deployments Dual farm deployments Publishing via web interface..published application versus published desktop A really good thing for them To point out would be a scenario where they faced a problem in a non-standard configuration AND how they overcame that. Also big topics of interest in this group right now are: Monitoring Packaging Applications for deployment. They won’t be doing the deployments but they will be supporting packaged applications. Again, please be ready To give actual situational examples AND be able To articulate the problem, environment, Actions they took To figure the problem out AND outcome of the actions.
Business Challenge Client is Tasked with Solving : When a customer, a hospital, chooses our cleint’s system AND for them To support it, this team works with them To implement the system AND support. This is a big area of growth because many hospitals do not have the IT staff To support these critical systems AND rely on this team To provide the best set up for them AND support going forward.
Project Stage/Lifecycle Info : On going implementations for customers

High Level Citrix Engineer Needed

Posted by atlcugadmin on March 11, 2012

My client is in need of a high level Citrix Engineer for a permanent opportunity in downtown Chattanooga, TN. This client currently has more work than they can handle.

Their President is a young entrepreneur that has been very successful in his time. His company has clients in New York, Boston, DC, Chicago, areas of Michigan, LA, and of course Chattanooga. To help service all of these clients, my client needs a well rounded individual with Core Infrastructure (Windows) experience as well as Storage (EMC, HP, etc), Virtualization (VMware), Messaging (exchange/email), and Remote Access (Citrix) experience.

Before any of that experience can come into play this person has to be good with people and process oriented. Someone with a great consulting background would be perfect as they will have to work hand in hand with clients onsite as well as always be selling. If they are working on a project and notice other systems that are not running correctly, then they need to be comfortable speaking up and providing guidance to the person in charge of that system and help them to a solution regardless who they use to bring them to that solution. My client wants their clients to succeed and grow and if they have to point the client in a different direction, then that’s what they will do. This person needs to be good with putting in work hours.

They will travel at least 2 weeks out of the month. Travel is Monday thru Thursday. This position pays well for the Chattanooga area and on top of the salary, my client will pay bonuses based on company performance. There is a real good possibility for someone to come in and make a lot of money.

Citrix is the main skill this person needs but they need to be open to different technologies and advancing their skills. A CCEA or CCIA is highly desired. Candidates must have a college degree. My client is located in downtown Chattanooga and has a parking garage connected to their building.

The salary ranges from 75k to 125k depending on experience but they may consider higher for the right person. Relocation to Chattanooga is a must.
