Smart has just started accepting pre-orders for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In case you’re not aware, the Galaxy Nexus happens to be the first Android smartphone to be released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. So, here’s your chance to be among the few individuals to own this smartphone. And Smart Communications also happens to be the sole distributor of the Galaxy Nexus in the Philippines.

The good news here is that Smart is not playing greedy and is offering the Galaxy Nexus for free under its unlimited data plan 2000 or all-in plan 3,500. That of course comes with a lock-in period of 24 months. It’s a pretty good deal even if you have no plans of getting a Smart plan. The truth is you really have to get this phone with an unlimited data, otherwise you won’t be able to enjoy all its features.

Anyway, the pre-ordering for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Smart will run starting January 21 to 27. You can pick up your unit on January 28 from the designated Smart Wireless Center of your choice.

This Samsung Galaxy Note Case is being sold on eBay. If you check out the manufacturer’s site, it’s nowhere listed from its catalog. So you’re best bet in getting it is to trust the eBay reseller and purchase the case from him/her.

The case is available in brown or white and is being sold for $65.99. Like the SGP case, it also function as a holder for your credit cards and paper bills.

PielFrame Magnum Case for Galaxy Note

This Samsung Galaxy Note case looks pretty good. According to the manufacturer, it was handmade and is made of high quality cowskin. It features an inner thermoplastic polymer structure with high resistence and perfect fitting. It has snap closure system, and rotable and complete removable from the included belt clip. This case goes for 90 €. It’s pretty expensive because of the cowskin material.

A few hours before 2011 ends and 2012 begins, allow me to give you my top gadgets of 2011. Take note, I personally used (and owned) all of these top five gadgets of 2011. Four of them are still with me. While the only one who’ve left me a few months ago was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which I found to be a redundant since I already have the iPad 2.  Anyway, I still find it as one of the top gadgets that I’ve owned for this year. The rest of the top five gadgets of 2011 for aczafra.com are as follow:

1.) Samsung Galaxy Note

Being the the latest of the gadgets I purchased this year, the Samsung Galaxy Note has to be on top. Although it’s only a few months into 2011, still as of latest report, Samsung announced that it has already shipped more than a million units of the Galaxy Note. And that doesn’t include shipment to the United States yet since it was not officially released there yet. There are so many things to love about the Galaxy Note. If you want to enjoy the best of both worlds – smartphone and tablet – this is the perfect gadget for you.

2.) iPad 2

Still my tablet of choice that belongs in the 7-10 inches category. There are so many things to love with the iPad 2 as well. And with iOS 5, its stock features and functionality have become more powerful, useful and so much to desire about. The only tablet that can beat the iPad 2 has got to be the upcoming iPad 3. So Apple, take your time because I still want to enjoy my iPad 2 some more this year.

3.) Samsung Galaxy S II

Been using the Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N700)  for the past couple of days now and so far I’m very impressed with this huge smartphone because of its speed, performance, appearance and features. It’s definitely way better than the Samsung Galaxy S II as a smartphone and more portable than the Galaxy Tab.

If you’re looking for a cross-breed of smartphone and tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note’s 5.3-inch display is just about enough for gaming as well as other productivity tasks. Watch out for our full review of the Samsung Galaxy Note at Gadgetell.com in the coming days (perhaps before Christmas!).

It was only a couple of hours ago when a Smart Representative was informing about my pre-registration for the iPhone 4S. Smart is launching the iPhone 4S right now through a camp out gig at Rockwell in Makati. The Smart Representative also told me that I will be contacted by another Smart Representative to confirm my reservation. I also asked her about the Smart plans and pricing details of their iPhone 4S but was told that it will be revealed tomorrow.

But guess what, Smart couldn’t wait until tomorrow and so their pricing details for the iPhone 4S has just been revealed. Here you go folks. For those who are planning to get the iPhone 4S from Smart, here are the different pricing details for the Smart iPhone 4S plans.

With Twitter, Google+ and Facebook already part of the online world’s daily routines, I can’t help but wonder whether there’s still room for social media marketing and the companies that deliver such services. I remember when I was still active in the search engine scene, the “in-thing” back then was of course – search engine marketing. Still remember SEM? I’m sure you do. Or perhaps many of you still engage in such activities.

So how about Social Media Marketing? Is it still relevant today, with the exponentially growing popularity of Twitter, Facebook and Google+ as the media for product or service marketing and advertising. I mean, anyone can engage into product/service marketing for brands. All you have to do is to create an account for your brand in any of the mentioned social networking sites, gather your followers and then start formualating marketing strategies with the hopes that each of your followers share your marketing ploy and eventually lead to more followers for your social networking accounts.

Social Media Marketing has become a simpler task for brand promotion. Unlike before where your company has to vie for worthiness in search engine algorithms to get the premium spots in search engine results pages (SERPs). SEM as compared with Social Media Marketing (SMM) is a more complex task.

So the question now is, does social media marketing companies has a place in the social media scene? What I mean by social media marketing companies are those that offer services that puts premium to your ad campaigns keywords and promote them on various social media sites as Facebook, Twitter and Google+. You can find many social media marketing companies just by simply searching for the right keyword on Google. For example, try searching for keybrokersocial and you’ll find a good example of social media marketing companies.

Try checking out these companies and see whether their services are still useful for your brands. Then you can leave a comment here to answer my question – Is Social Media Marketing still relevant today?

In case you haven’t heard about the news yet, both Globe and Smart are releasing the iPhone 4S at the same time on December 16. Both companies are now displaying the iPhone 4S sign-up pages on their respective websites. Unfortunately both have not disclose details about the release of the iPhone 4S except for the date. Even if you sign up for your interest to get the iPhone 4S, nothing on the registration form states something about pricing and plan details for the iPhone 4S.

The good news here is that even if you signify your interest, you are not compelled to push through if in case the deals to be given out by any of the two companies don’t suit you. So, if you’re really serious about getting the iPhone 4S from any of these carriers, you might as well signify your interest as early as now. I’m pretty sure, there will be few units available come December 16.
