I decided to play around with the colourful autumn leaves that had fallen in the back garden. All I could only think to create was a heart shape, I think the title is rather fitting.

Mt Cook, Mt Sefton & Mt Footstool, Aoraki National Park, Southern Alps, South Island, New Zealand

(Not so) dangerously taken in the middle of the main road to the foot of Mt Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand standing 3754m high. It was a nice scenic drive from Twizel past Lake Pukaki where you get the first glimpse of the mountains in the distance, at the far side of the lake.

A photo of a newly born springer spaniel puppy asleep on its siblings. Less than two weeks old when this photo was taken and yet to open its eyes for the first time.

I was visiting a friend who was looking after the pups for their breeder and was lucky enough to get chance to shoot a few while they slept. Possibly the cutest things I have ever seen!

Looking up at the sky from the floor of Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds. Watching the birds, time and all the clouds pass us overhead.

The Jacobite Steam Train (a.k.a Hogwarts Express train from Harry Potter films), taken at close range on the roadside near Morar in the Scottish Highlands. We had been chasing the train for miles looking for the perfect place to stop for some photos and finally we found it, really happy with the shots I was able to get in the short space of time we had.

Taken at Hoffman Lime Kiln, Langcliffe, Near Settle, North Yorkshire, England. The lime kiln was built in 1873 and is one of the biggest of it’s kind still standing. It an amazing place to visit and photograph.

This is the Hoffmann Kiln, Craven Lime Works in Langcliffe. I have lived less than 30 minute walk from here for nearly 20 years and only been three times, this was the first time with my camera. I had to drag my sister (seen at the far end of this shot) with me as the kiln is pretty creepy on your own. It’s hard to describe the kiln, I guess it’s like a large man-made cave and above ground?

This shot was taken on a 30 second exposure, f/22 in the West chamber facing North.

This is my first self portrait in nearly two years, can’t believe its been so long! It came about after seeing a photo on flickr a few weeks ago, I just loved the idea and wanted to try for myself; so I got in touch with the photographer toughkidcst to ask if he would mind me recreating the shot, he was a really nice guy and said yes :)

I pretty much used my whole collection to create this shot just over 300 DVD’s and Blu-rays and a couple of hours to set it up.

Close up shot of a adult giraffe, taken at Chester Zoo, England. For the second time in two visits the as soon I as turned up to the giraffe enclosure some zoo keepers came with food and brought them all over to me :)

Cute little lamb, the only time he left his mothers side. He looks like he is checking me out and ready to run back to his mother at any time. Taken at 300mm because I couldn’t get any closer, tho I really wanted to!

My favourite little lamb heading off down a long road with his mother who looked really frail. I wanted to try and tell a story with the photo, about a journey that these two have been on together or are just beginning.
