<p>Taken in the middle of the main road to the foot of Mt Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand standing 3754m high. It was a nice scenic drive from Twizel past Lake Pukaki where you get the first glimpse of the mountains in the distance, at the far side of the lake.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We were recommended this spot by my brother who lives in Sydney, an opportunity to see eastern grey kangaroo&#8217;s in the wild. The kangaroo&#8217;s were much more friendly than I&#8217;d imagined, one in particular approached us and was happy for us to stroke and feed him small pieces of carrot. They are really beautiful animals.</p>
<p>The eastern grey kangaroo (Macropus giganteus) is a marsupial found in southern and eastern Australia, with a population of several million. It is also known as the great grey kangaroo and the Forester kangaroo.</p>
