Nugget Point is one of the most iconic landforms on the Otago coast. Located at the northern end of the Catlins coast down the road from Kaka Point, this steep headland has a lighthouse at its tip, surrounded by rocky islets (The Nuggets).

Wild Kea

A wild Kea providing some entertainment in a car park at Te Anau, Fiordland National Park, New Zealand.

It was jumping from car to ca trying to break into the car via their sun roofs or door windows.

The kea is the world’s only alpine parrot.

These giant ocean rocks are on Wharariki Beach, Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand.

The Golden Bay is an amazing place to visit. If taking a trip to the South Island, I highly recommend doing the coastal walk from here to farewell spit.

Hanmer springs

We took a lunch stop at Hanmer springs village while driving Lewis Pass from Christ Church to Murchison.

Our second day in New Zealand and in love all over again with the scenery. It has a bright, warm and colourful glow – very hard to describe but really noticeable.

Bondi baths

Eastern grey kangaroo

We were recommended this spot by my brother who lives in Sydney, an opportunity to see eastern grey kangaroo’s in the wild. The kangaroo’s were much more friendly than I’d imagined, one in particular approached us and was happy for us to stroke and feed him small pieces of carrot. They are really beautiful animals.

The eastern grey kangaroo (Macropus giganteus) is a marsupial found in southern and eastern Australia, with a population of several million. It is also known as the great grey kangaroo and the Forester kangaroo.
