I wasn’t aware of planned itinerary for the day. I was hoping that Sentosa is part of it. They say, an hour trip to Sentosa is not enough, and going to Sentosa should be a whole day trip. I dropped Sentosa in my mind and concentrate on the road while the bus takes us to our destination.

My eyes are locked on the road thinking that this kind of facade might the year 2050 in the Philippines. That this kind of facade is impossible for corrupt politicians to take in action of. All of a sudden, Mica borrowed my camera and took a photo of me and pondered “You’re emo.” Oh yeah!!

“Clark Quay Clark Quay!” says someone from the bus. Out of the blue, I realized that we just hit our 1st destination, Royal Selangor.

Royal Selangor is an international manufacturer of high quality pewter and well known for crafting elegant tableware designs, jewelries, and gifts. Its original name was Selangor Pewter, but was changed to Royal Selangor to reflect its diverse product.

We made our own souvenir plate, purely made by hand. The feeling of being a blacksmith for an hour is one of a kind experience. We also received a certificate of Blacksmith for finishing a product.

I’m busy from the start, and gained success after finishing my product.

Singapore Flyer is our next stop. At far, the Flyer looks ordinary ferris wheel in Enchanted Kingdom. As we get nearer, I’m amazed by its exact size, it’s like a capsule that will transport you to other planet. Cocktails are supposed to be serve during our flying experience, but I think it’s a different package.

There are a lot of classical things inside the Chinatown Heritage Center. Holograms, old televisions, old table sets and other old things are there.

Walking inside the heritage center would make you feel that your great grandma and great grandpa souls are alive, right there beside you (Happy Halloween by the way).

Bloggers can’t stop taking pictures near the window. The lighting is very good.

I’m in the wrong position, but models are really good (Ashley and Alodia).

Mint Toy Museum is Mica’s favorite itinerary. Listening attentively to Curator Richard, like she drunk a lot of coffee because of alertness.

Few facts about the Mint Museum — Won the 2007 International Architecture Award. Camera flash is not allowed, this is to avoid shadows thus preserving the colors of the toys.

There’s also a minibar and restaurant inside the Mint Museum.

Before the day ends, I bought SB600 flash for my Nikon. With Ming as our tour guide, we took a small walk from Esplanade to Merlion park.

A highlight photo.

It has come to my attention that Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards featured a Win an Exclusive to Invites to Uniquely Singapore. Together with my blogpals, we career the Pringles and Uniquely Singapore blog posts and thinking positively, we prepare our passports.

Arrival time at Changi Airport is 9:20 in the morning (no time difference from PH). Changi airport is way peaceful than of Manila. No picture taking allowed but I attempted and a lady-like-lesbian airport officer come and told me to delete the photo I took.

At the waiting area, while everyone is lined up in the Money Changer booth, Nuffnang Co-Founder, Ming Shen, welcomes us Filipino bloggers.

This is it. I am wowed. It’s time to go Link Hotel. I still can’t believe that my feet is touching the land of Singapore. The feeling is great and the atmosphere is good. Trees are everywhere. No single piece of trash.

On our way to Link Hotel, I am really awed by the cars as it looks like they are all brand new. I also notice that there is no smoke coming from the vehicles.

Due to curiosity, we asked a Singaporean taxi driver why is it that all vehicles in the country are clean. He told us that it’s part of their Road Rules and Regulations. Have a clean car and wash it at least twice a day. *wowed*

At the Link Hotel, everyone is waiting for 2 o’clock, the time of check in. Link Hotel is one of the prestigious botique-style hotel in Singapore located at Tiong Bahru.

Hot sunny day welcomes us. We headed to the nearest food chain in Tiong Bahru road.

While in PH duck is expensive and served in selected restaurants, in SG, duck is an ordinary food which can be bought anywhere at a cheap price.

The food satisfies our stomach. We are hyper and energetic, enough to do camwhoring. The place we chose is covered with trees and grass, so much to relax after being full from the char siew.

What comes after camwhoring is exhaustion. Finally, the clock hits the target time of checking in. Together with my assigned roomate Mica, we immediately unpack our luggage. The room has a big television but we did not use it; instead, we listen to the relaxing music from iPod and get some rest.

Suddenly, we realize that both of us didn’t bring soap, so we plan to buy soap at the nearest store. And we found about this Cheers mini store (located on 1st floor of Link Hotel). But OMFreakinGGuh how come they don’t sell soap!! What the freakin hell!!

We look idiot looking for soap until someone told us that Singaporeans don’t use bar soap which we are trying to look for because they uses liquid soap!

Time for some rest in preparation for the biggest event ever held by Nuffnang, the Asia-Pacific Blog Awards.

I’m pretty sure they are bloggers from Malaysia. It’s a back shot while we camwhore at the stage. Joining them at the photo op would be fun, but we didn’t had the chance to sneak in.

Pan Pacific Hotel

Pan Pacific Hotel served their best food starting with nonstop bread and butter, appetizer consist of ham, tomatoes and other veggies, main dish of chicken with mushrooms, veggies, delectable corn, and mashed potato (not sure if it’s potato), and a sweet dessert.

Awards night were also presented by Allan Wu, J C Sum & ‘Magic Babe’ Ning, and indie band Electrico.

Two pinoy made it to the top. Filipino Australian Arnold Aranez (A pinoy in Australia) of Mr Gadget won the Best Geek Blog and Ferdz Decena of Ironwulf won the Best Travel Blog.

Xiaxue bags 3 awards during the night under Most Influential, Best Blog Design, and Region’s Best Blog.

Other winners include Bonito Chico for Best Blog Shop, Kennysia Best for Entertainment Blog, Joanne Peh for Best Celebrity Blog, Childhood101 for Best Parenting Blog, Lady Melbourne for Best Fashion Blog, ieat-ishoot-ipost for Best Food Blog, and The Doodle Blog for Best Hidden Gem. Jayden bags the $5000 for the Best Krrunchy Video.

It’s a long day and I really didn’t feel tired. Probably, I don’t want to end the day and take more photos from the event.

Kuya Markku and Hana accompanied us, and together with other bloggers we headed to Talisay and eat lechon which we didn’t try during our 1st visit!

We dropped at Fort San Pedro Historical Park where we spent most of our time with lots of photo shoots. There I saw a tall white guy with flower on his ear. The flower looks gauze at first, making me think it’s a “toknat”. Looking closer, it’s a flower, but he’s not gay!

On the next day, it’s Philippine Blog Awards time. It was nice meeting all Cebu bloggers! They’re energetic!

Moon Cafe serves Filipino Mexican style dishes. This Quesadilla is oooohh-O-O-MG awesome!! *hears Mexican country song*

Pasta Gambas (gambas means shrimp), I really forgot the name of this dish.

I forgot the name of this dish as well, but it is chicken with cheese melt.

Okay, the name of this salad. I really forgot. Salad with mandarin orange.

Forgive me that I forgot the name of those dishes. Damn, even these people I’m with can’t remember these dishes..

Do you think any less of this blog post? LOL. It’s really incomplete with name of the dishes. Their dishes are delectable and affordable! Buti na lang hindi ko nakalimutan pangalan ko sa sobrang sarap.

Sentosa shot.

It will be my first time!! So I’ve got to plan my 1-day DREAM itinerary!! Yay!!

It will all start in food!
8 AM – Laksa for breakfast or Nasi Lemak at the nearest coffee shop!

9 AM – Sentosa! I’m gonna buckle up for this one. The famous spot in Singapore! Will not miss this very popular resort in Singapore.

I gotta try the Tiger Sky Tower, Sentosa 4D Magix, and The Flying Trapeze. I love heights!

It seems hard to get away from Sentosa, I just wanna feel the place more, walk, and take more photos. But I need to tour more! MERLION!

12 NN – Singapore Zoo at Mandai. I love animals, especially the exotic ones. I will not miss this Singapore’s Open Zoo concept!

1 PM – Will try Singapore’s local food Satay and Hokien noodles.

2 PM – Like I said, I like exotics. Will spend hot afternoon at rainforest of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Having a jungle-ish surroundings makes me feel adventurous!

3 PM – Little India. Will shop some DVDs, umbrellas, pillowcases..

4 PM – Shopping at the Orchard! I so much love to visit this place. Very refreshing and classy.

5 PM – Night photo shoot at Esplanade Park. Will find couples kissing, handsome men walking, whatever makes the night. Shoot!!

6 PM – There is this certain thing I would love to try in SG. Halloween is nearly coming, and I’ve never tried the trick or treat thing in my entire life.

What about a Spooky tour in Singapore? Yay!!

This could be the best chill out I could do with my friends!!

I would also like to try Singapore’s best foot reflexology, which targets body’s internal organs better than of a back massage!! *floats*

And I miss hanging out my feet with Doctor Fish!!

OMG!! What a long DREAM itinerary! I got this whole idea from visitsingsingapore!

My cousins and nephew were afraid, bored, and about to cry with this situation!

I hurried and picked up some Pringles and they like it!

What if we play a game? I want them to forget what’s happening outside! Now, It’s Krrunch time!

How to play the Krrunch game:
We have 3 players so we need 3 plates, were Pringles will be placed. Then put the can in alignment like 3 meters from the plates with Pringles. Set timer for 3 minutes! Now, pop a piece of Pringles and put in mouth. Then run to put the Pringles inside the can using the mouth! The one who puts most number of Pringles in can wins!

Kids had soo much Fun with this Krrunch game!!

Kids can’t forget what we played last Saturday. The next day, they begged me to play again! This time, only 2 players since the other one is still sleeping.

During my elementary years, Bayani Fernando included “Marikina” in our HEKASI (Heograpiya, Kasaysayan at Sibika) subject. I still remember Marikina’s motto: Discipline, Good Taste, and Excellence and quote about garbage, Mumunting basura, ibulsa muna.

I can say that Marikina is nearly a perfect city but geographically at risk of dangerous natural calamities such as earthquake and massive flood.

According to our History teacher, Marikina is a valley. A low land which lies between high areas of Sierra Madre (east) and Quezon City (west). Cainta and Pasig are also part of this valley.

September 26, 2009, Saturday. I woke up at 2:45 PM, went downstairs and irritated by wet floor. It was raining hard and nobody was there. I went to 1st floor with flood above the knee and shocked that they are transferring our computers to the 2nd floor.

Taken at 3:28PM. Flood is about 5 feet.

We are so busy transferring our things from 1st floor to 2nd floor. It’s too late before we found out our neighbor in front of our house, was not able to save any single thing except from themselves. Flood really goes up so fast.

Taken at 4:50PM. Flood is about 5 feet, but in street, it’s about more than 5 feet.

At 7:34 PM, here it is now.

We still don’t have internet connection. I’m using my phone as modem while blogging about this. If you are also texting me, expect some delay since I am having problem with signal.
