How can you outsmart a drug addict? It’s quite simply, you can’t. The measure which must be taken with drug addicts is the act of countermeasures. When someone is addicted to drugs they will find numerous ways to obtain their drugs and nothing you can do will stop them. You can however take some measures in protecting yourself as well as allowing the drug addict to understand set consequences of their actions.

The joy we had was crushed when my husband and me where in an accident; our car was hit by a drunk driver, and my husband died on the spot. The lucky thing was my three children were not with us and I was not that badly injured. I was in the hospital for a few days. When I saw my children I smiled at them but I had lot of pain in me regarding how I am going to make them forget their dad and his memories. I promised myself that I should raise my children with out any worries and pain.

Substance abuse affects the body and the brain. Since the brain is affected there are feelings of euphoria and depression. Over time, there is less euphoria and more depression. This is because the brain becomes so acclimated to the substance abuse that it needs more and more to have any of the “high” feeling, so depression is present more and more and for longer periods
