Hello dear friends. What a crazy week! I thought I would not be able to write again this week. Well, but here we are and the video of this week is "Cheira a Lisboa" live. And last March 12th was the birthday of the fadista and friend Maria Alcina. We wish her happiness, many kisses and our affection, we could not write on, but Adélia called and spoke with her. Friends are never forgotten. Kisses! And next Monday, March 16th is the birthday of our dear friend and also fadista Maria de Lourdes, which was here with us in the Carnival. Congratulations Lú! Dear friends. Forgive my delay, but this week was crazy and I almost couldn´t have time to write to you. Forgive me also If I forget something important, there are so many subjects that I´m afraid I miss some. Well, the carnival was great. We had a nice weekend with our dear Terezinha Alves, Jose Luiz, Maria de Lourdes and Augusto, who had come especially to the D.Maria´s birthday. We love you!
Also we want to thank all the broadcasters who had sent messages for D.Maria. It was lovely! Kisses to you all.
A special kiss also to our friend Daniel Vega, of the program La Voz Del Club Portugués, from Buenos Aires, for the pretty words and homage they made to Adélia last Sunday. The show is on Sundays from 10 to 11am at http://www.am890.com.ar/. This week we also have a video of one of the shows in the Club. A homage that Adélia made to the beloved public and to Algarve. Unforgetable. Kisses to all the people that had been there and also to the ones who called during the radio show.
And a big kiss to Luiz Abilio, from the blog Folclore de Portugal, that gentily is helping us with information for the blog Mundo Fado. And another kiss and our gratefulness to Luis Maia from the blog Fado das Bocas Lindas, that this week hás a tribute to our beloved Joaquim Pimentel. It was great! And after a long time and missing a lot those people, Adélia is coming back to Santos. On the next April 11th, will be commemorated in the Casa da Madeira, the first anniversary of the program Saudade da Minha Terra, Portugal. Show of Adélia and the Trio Manuel Marques. Soon we will be passing information on invitations. You can not lose!

Time for fun, but with responsibility, always.
This week, we have the video "Caso Encerrado" with Adélia and, to celebrate the carnival, the video "Portuguesa no Samba", with Terezinha Alves. I love it! It is from the beginning of her career.

We have important birthdays this week. On the 23rd we have Maria José Taveira´s birthday. Maria José is a great friend a wife of our missing Manoel Taveira. Also on 23, our friend of Internet, Roberto Peresio, from Italy. On the 26th, a very special day, we have the birthday of our dear Maria José, Adélia´s mother and my dear grandma, and our friend and my godfather Alex Cruz de Malta. To all of you our best wishes for much health, love, peace and prosperity. Much happiness and achievements in your lives. You are very special people and deserve the best. Maria will be 92 years old! Isn´t it wonderful? Next week, I will make a special video with her, a surprise for her and for you. Wait.

Hello friends! This week we have "Fadinho Serrano". Live in Buenos Aires. The presenter is Mrs.Maria Albertina Viegas Costa (pic.), a very important figure to the Portuguese colony of Buenos Aires, and a very special person who Adélia misses a lot and send a big and loving hug. The images selected for the video show a little more of the beauty of Portugal. Curious, I STILL do not know Portugal, but what I have seen in the pictures, I am questioning myself what led the discoverers of the past want to find other lands, if they had so many wonders in their own country. Portugal is really beautiful!

Paulo Machado´s Birthday / Lisbon on the Guinness

Hello dear friends. This weekend, once again, a tribute to the most beautiful city in the world and also the most singing one, Lisbon. Verses of the master Joaquim Pimentel, in the voice of our eternal princess Adélia - "Lisboa e o Tempo". And talking about Lisbon, a big hug to our friend Vítor Duarte Marceneiro, which is making a valuable work to put the city of Lisbon in the Guinness Book as the most singing city of the world. We wish you success in your project, something important and with a high historical and cultural value.
And next Sunday, February 8th, will be the birthday of the Coordinator of Tourism of Portugal in Brazil, the dear friend Paulo Machado. Best wishes, not only today but always. Kisses from Adélia. kisses also to Dinha and Catarina.

Hello friends. This week we have a declaration of love to Lisbon, made by a Brazilian. Yes, a distinguished Brazilian, Silvino Neto. Actor, singer, composer, radio and father of actor Paul Silvino. A curiosity that you must listen, I hope you like it. Well, again, like last year, we will make a brief summary of our achievements of 2008. More than 17,000 visits in 2008!

Today, only on You Tube, 87 videos, with more than 144,200 exhibits. The "champion" of the videos is still the song "É Natal", and the most commented (and thank God, always well commented) is "Rosa Enjeitada." Adélia was honored in Brazil, Portugal and Switzerland. Her story is told and her voice is heard on blogs, websites and radio stations in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, France, Switzerland, among other countries. Messages arrive from all the world, as well as requests for records and concerts. And the most important, friends, many friends. We are making new friends and rediscovering old friendships . Internet is a wonderful thing when used well, of course.

As I said last year, those numbers for a blog that is done at home, without sponsorship and teams of disclosure, and that speaks of an artist immigrant, are not just numbers, are demonstrations of the immense artistic potential of Adélia, her charisma and the love from her public around the world.

We hope in 2009 we can organize the calendar of shows and record the new CD. And for that, we count on you, friends, fans, record labels and entrepreneurs.

The repertoire is mostly assembled, but we left 1 or 2 bands that will be chosen by the public. When you open the blog, also opens up another window, where you will find a form. Tell us what you would like to hear in the voice of our dear Adélia. We are on the way to produce the CD, and we are accepting applications from record labels and companies interested in sponsoring, disseminating and marketing the art of our dear and wonderful fadista. If we have no record label, or other form of support, yet, in an independent way, the CD comes out this year. With label, no label, with or without sponsorship, our beloved public will have what is expected, Adélia Pedrosa, her voice and touching interpretation with folklore songs and beautiful fados unpublished yet, with the quality that has always permeated her work.
Thanks to everyone for the support, the affection, the messages. You are the reason for the existence of this work, done with much, much love. Thanks to all broadcasters in Rio de Janeiro, Santos, finally, Brazil, Portugal, Switzerland and many other places, all who have supported us and that, with so much affection released Adélia Pedrosa songs. Many people asked us about the cover of the single "O Meu Menino Jesus". Well, the picture was produced and made by myself. The shawl was Adélia who did it and the beautiful sculpture of Our Lady with the infant Jesus, is art of Francisco Tavares, brother of our dear friend Antonio Tavares. A beautiful work that we are very happy to share with you. I am happy that you liked it because, as everything we do, there is too much love on the cover.
And, speaking of Antonio Tavares, next 06 January, the day of Kings, is also his birthday. Congratulations dear friend. We miss you. We wish you much peace, bright, great strength, health, love and that God always be with you. You're always in our thoughts and prayers. Also on the 6th, the birthday of our dear Silvia Reis, friend-sister of Adélia, godmother of my heart, and after a holiday in the United States with her family, is back to the wonderful city, and will soon be here with us. Congratulations! Health, love, peace and prosperity. We love you so much.

Hello dear friends. I'm too late this week, sorry. This season is very busy. I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family and loved people. Our Christmas was with much peace and love. I, Adélia, my grandma, my husband Ciro, my godmother Terezinha Alves and her husband Jose Luis spent the night together. It was very good, we laugh a lot. And as our Christmas is well Portuguese, we ate too much cod, King Cake presented by our dear friend Augusto and our friend and fadista Maria de Lourdes, direct from Confeitaria Santa Marcelina, São Paulo, Portuguese chestnuts , french toasts and heard too much Fado. And now you can envy me, because here we had the Fado live with two great fadistas. Really very special!
Well, a new year beggins. We hope to be a year of peace and love. It seems that common to talk, but what we need to live well, in addition to health, it is just that - peace and love. Let's look at the past year as a learning, and breathe the air of a new year with the experience and with the hope of a new way that opens before us.

And this is exactly the thinking that we want to transmit you this year. Let's find the real spirit of Christmas in our hearts. The spirit of brotherhood, solidarity, the spirit of love. Yeah we are talking of love. The love that He tried to teach us, and that we often forget to practice.
Since I was a child, with my godfather, Joaquim Pimentel, my godmother, Terezinha Alves and my loved mom and grandma, my Christmas has always been very special. We used to join in our house all those friends who were away from their families, which is very common among immigrants, and those who had no family. Those times were very beautiful and unforgettable. Other times I had the privilege to spend Christmas with beautiful old ladies in an asylum, with children at the Cancer Hospital in Sao Paulo, in orphanages, finally, with beautiful people and it taught me a lot. I can tell you that this is us that receive the best. I am not telling you this to show me, but to suggest you to do the same. It would be better doing so not only at Christmas, but it is a start. Try it, share the immense love you have in your hearts, first among the relatives course, because Christmas is a time of family, but also with those who are alone, poor, sick, hungry, even not known. You will know from that moment the true spirit of Christmas, and love that He wanted to show us. Adélia and I wish you all a Christmas of bright, with a lot of love. Hi my friends. Sorry for my delay. This weekend we expected to post a message of gratitude from Adélia for all the phone calls and messages that you sent in her birthday, but she had a small accident at home and unfortunately we did not have time to prepare anything. This week we have a very special moment recorded in the video of the week. The video is of fado "Voltaste", by Joaquim Pimentel. An unforgettable night of fados, which was attended, among others, Pimentel, which can be heard singing, and our beloved Terezinha Alves, at her time of fan (she is heard in the background).
The other video is of our dear, sweet friend, the fadista Pedro Vilar. A success of himself, "De Corpo e Alma." Pedro's birthday was on the last 22, november. Congratulations my dear. Hello my friends. As promised, here I am with a beautiful surprise. An exquisite work, done with great affection specially for you. Adélia just recorded "O Meu Menino Jesus" ("My baby Jesus"), witten by her friend and brother, the great poet Antonio Campos, in the music of Álvaro Duarte Simões. And to complete this affection, the preciousness of the art of Manuel Marques, another great friend and master of music, who wrote all the scores, developed the arrangements carefully and also recorded with Adélia on the portuguese guitars. And more, the sweet and soft sound of the guitar by Sergio Borges, one more valuable contribution in this work. I believe that this mixture, made with much love, resulted in a beautiful Fado, that we sincerely hope you enjoy. Soon we will upload here on the blog, the recording making-of . That's it friends! Hi friends! Everything ok?

This week we have the video "Chula da Livração", by Paco Bandeira , with images of various regions and traditions of our beautiful Portugal.
Last week, as announced, we had one more History of Artist, the program of our friend José Liberado at Saudade FM, Santos. And on occasion, the honored was Tony de Matos. For those who lost, we recorded it. Just click here and listen. It was a beautiful and well deserved tribute. Congratulations and we hope that we have more shows like this, telling the life story of unforgettable artists.
I want to thank everyone, I will not mention names not to commit injustices, who have written to us, spoken about Adélia in their programs, blogs and websites. Thank you. We are preparing surprises for soon.
And now, we could not resist. You already know that we are, me and Adélia, unconditional fans of Mariana Correia. So, I´d like to share with you a special video of her singing in French. And one more week ! We are almost at the end of the year, and what an year! First of all I would like to thank you once again and apologize for not responding quickly as we would like to the messages you are sending to us. Many messages and we will respond to all of you, we promise. Well, this week the video "Foi Deus," recorded live. The beginning of the record was lost, unfortunately, but I owned this video to you.

This week, in Canada, was the launch of the new book "Horizons of Poetry", of the poet Euclides Cavaco, and who was there with him was our dear friend and master of the Portuguese guitar Maria Luisa Melo. Congratulations to Mr.Euclides for the book which, of course, is already a success, and for the choice of so important and dear person and artist to accompany you at that time. Congratulations to both and success! Kisses from us.
Next Sunday, 26/10/2008, we will have one more History of the Artist, on the radio show Saudade da Minha Terra, Portugal, with our friend José Liberado by FM Saudade de Santos. This month the homage will be to Tony de Matos, the eternal romantic. Congratulations Liberado by this choice, we are sure it will be a beautiful homage, and Tony deserves to be remembered forever.
