Secure X-Plus diapers are made by the company Secure Personal Care (http://www.securepersonalcare.com). They make several “levels” of diapers, three actually, ranging from their premium level diaper all the way to their most absorbent diaper, the Secure X-Plus. The Secure X-Plus diaper is the diaper I will be reviewing today as I prefer their most absorbent diaper even though the other levels of their diapers are quite absorbent too and I would easily choose over other brands such as Attends and Tena.

The Secure X-Plus diaper itself is a plastic diaper that has one of the softest plastics of all the top level diapers. If you like to crinkle then you will definitely like this diaper. It has a very soft plastic outer covering. Also the inner-lining of the diaper is very soft as well. I find it important and noteworthy to mention the softness of the inner lining. I am big on preventing skin rashes and irritation and the Secure X-Plus has not once ever given me a skin rash from rubbing – so that is a big plus in my book.

The absorbency of the Secure X-Plus definitely puts it in the top 5 most absorbent diapers category. I am a girl and I don’t have the “luxury” of being a guy and using the maximum space of the diaper (i.e. the front) for absorbency but I was able to soak the diaper completely 3 times and could have gone probably even more but I just had to change. No Leaks. This was impressive I thought. I thought it absorbed quickly to. Being a girl, urine only really accumulates at the seat of the diaper and the back. A man is able to take advantage of even more of the absorbency because they can use the front of the diaper for even more absorbency. So, I would say if you are looking for a extremely soft and absorbent diaper then this is a perfect match.

In regards to the fit and comfort of the diaper, it is amazing. Everyone has different body shapes and some products will work better for others. The Secure X-Plus just happens to fit me perfectly and snug. It also has waistbands to hold the diaper close to your body which is also nice for multiple reasons. It helps with the comfort and fit but if you like that “babyish” feel then a waistband definitely adds to it. The elastic leg gathers are a huge positive for these diapers too because not many diapers now a days come with them. They are soft as well and comfortable against the skin while also providing a nice snug fit.

The tapes are another huge positive in my opinion. The diaper is designed with frontal landing zone that allows you to remove a tab/tape and then stick it back on if you would like WITHOUT tearing the diaper. I was able to undo the diaper tab and place it back on the frontal landing zone over 5 times and it was still holding strong. So, this is a big plus for those who are casual diaper wearers and don’t want to necessarily waste a diaper if you have to take it off. You can untape the diaper and then retape it back on later without wasting it. It allows for easy adjustments which I always like.

Overall, the Secure X-Plus diaper is one of my Top 3 Favorite Diapers that I use. I always make sure to have a supply of them along with my other brands. If you were to look in my closet you would find equal numbers of Secure X-Plus and Bambino Diapers as those are my top diapers that I currently use…you would also find some lesser diapers such as Attends. But, I am a big supporter of the more absorbent diapers last longer and withstand more so that is why I always have a stockpile of Secure X-Plus diapers and Bambino Diapers. If you haven’t tried them – they are definitely worth giving a shot.

Secure X-Plus Diapers: Buy Secure X-Plus Diapers

So, I know I have been a little inconsistent with posting and I do apologize to those who follow my blog closely. I promise I am making an effort and will make a harder effort now to post more regularly. I honestly want to post more often – I just don’t want to post garbage material that people are not going to find helpful or interesting. Me posting a typical day stuff is boring – at least to me. But, then again maybe I am not looking at it from an outsider’s view. But, I promise I am going to post more and be more consistent as I do want to grow this blog and keep my readers.

One thing I do not appreciate is people messaging me and try to make me feel like I “owe them” or “I have to” post on my blog in order to live up to their expectations. This blog is for myself first and helping people right after that. I post on it when I have time and when I feel something may interest people or be helpful. Yes, I say I am going to post more and I make every attempt to at that time – but I cannot predict life sometimes and I just get caught up with some of the dramas in life. I follow other people’s blogs and I never ask them to post or pressure them to feel like they need to post for me. I would appreciate the same understanding and kindness from certain people – who know who they are. That is all I am going to say about that.

But, for those who do follow my blog – I promise I am making every attempt to post more frequently and will try harder. Expect a REVIEW coming soon…maybe today.

So, as people can see I have once again changed my blog design due to some people informing me of browser viewing issues with my previous design. I like this design better as it is more organized clean and I find it easier to read. Still working on tweaking it though.

But, here is what I have been wondering. I really want to take this blog to a new level. I love blogging and writing and when I don’t have crazy family emergencies or whatever I can blog just about everyday even though I know I haven’t in the past week just because I got swamped which honestly rarely happens. So, I want to take this site/blog to another level. Maybe expand it to add more things and features. I hate becoming stagnant and I want to grow the site and blog to greater heights. What things would you all like I Heart Diapers add or come to? Offering products? User submitted photo gallery? More reviews? Etc? What do people think would take this blog/site to the next level. Diapers are a huge part of my life and I truly believe in spreading the word as best I can in a positive light. So, I am open ears to what people would like to see this blog become or whether they want it to just stay as it is. I would really appreciate any comments.

There are a lot of things I do enjoy about wearing diapers but of course there are those things that I would say are “icky” feelings. One of those that just happens to be waking up in a wet diaper. Though it does feel nice to wake up wearing a diaper, wearing a wet diaper that has been absolutely soaked gives me this icky feeling and I just want Peter to change me. He knows that I don’t like the feeling waking up in one so he makes sure to always check when we wake up to see if I am wet and he changes me pronto. God bless him

It is kind of ironic you could say because I wear diapers all the time and use them for both forms of incontinence (urinary and bowel) which in itself to most people is unsanitary. But, I am like the cleanest person you will ever meet. I wash my hands and use disinfectant all the time and I hate my room being messy and things out of place. Obviously, those are just a few small examples but I am a neat freak and a clean freak which is probably funny coming from someone that wets and messes her diapers which is probably the ultimate “unclean” thing to most people. But, to that I have a response! Urine is actually sterile and basically just water and salt – so its not really dirty (at least that is what I tell my neat freak self) Poop is very dirty and though I will admit that I enjoy the feeling of a messy diaper sometimes – I prefer not to be in one for more than an hour. Peter probably does not want me in one for that long either because then I typically get a diaper rash and he always says I complain about it…I don’t think I do that much but whatever.

Anyways, everyone has their quirks and preferences…I guess waking up in a wet diaper just makes me feel icky, hot, and dirty for some reason that I can’t explain. But, its such a great feeling to be changed and into a cool fresh diaper. Anyone else got any quirks or special preferences that you think may be different when it comes to diapers?

I came across this incontinence article that I found interesting that really envelopes the prominence of incontinence in the world: http://blogs.sfweekly.com/thesnitch/2009/09/san_francisco_professor_call_y.php

Its a well written article basically discussing incontinence and how people should be more comfortable talking about it with those they are close to whether it is about themselves or about the other person. The topic should not be so “secretive” basically is what the article is saying. Which I definitely agree with because incontinence is such a common disorder that why make it an uncomfortable topic that causes stress and adds stress to most people’s lives? People have enough worries and stress to deal with then having to worry about hiding incontinence from their close ones. It should be easier to discuss with those that are close to you so they along with you can come up with the best options to suit your needs based on price and need.

I just wanted to share an article with everyone, especially those that are truly incontinent, to just reinforce the popularity in the population that are incontinent and are just like you. Hope the article helps shed some light on an important issue to many.

So, I am finally back and this will be my first post back after my family issue thingy. Sorry everyone – I just have been so crazy busy and tied up with things that posting was sort of out of the question.

I thought I would make my first post on something one of my readers have asked me. How do you change a diaper in an airplane and contain the smell?

Wearing a diaper and changing a diaper in an airplane is handled I would say in the same manner you would any tight space or close-quartered area. If you wet your diaper on an airplane and it isn’t at risk of leaking then see if you are able to wait until the plane lands – it would just be easier in general to change your diaper in an airport bathroom for obvious reasons. If you are on a long flight though and have no choice and need to change your wet diaper then just take a diaper out of where ever you have it stored – don’t look suspicious though – just act like it is not a big deal. Especially on a plane you don’t want to be pulling anything out of a bag and look suspicious if you catch my drift. So, some tips for changing your diaper in an airplane bathroom would be to bring a pull-up to last you the rest of the way if you think it will be able to hold. A pull-up is a lot easier to put on then a diaper is and less time consuming. But, if all you have is diapers then just put the diaper on while sitting down if there is a space in that particular airplane bathroom…it is way easier than trying to stand up and changing. But, if you have to change your diaper standing up just use the wall to brace yourself against to provide some leverage so you don’t go swaying everywhere.

When it comes to messy and poopy diapers – I would suggest some pre-planning for this, which is what I have always done. If you are a person that does poop their diapers then changing in an airplane will prove extremely difficult. I would HIGHLY suggest first putting a lot of powder inside your diaper before you get on the plane and make sure the diaper is tight around the edges so the smell has less space to come out. Then, make sure to put on a good pair of plastic pants or even two of them which will immensely help contain the smell and keep it inside your pants. Also, wear a good perfume/cologne which will help mask anything that does get out. This is what I have always done and never run into many issues. If you absolutely have to change a poopy diaper in an airplane bathroom then make sure you brought your own baby wipes and a lot of them. Brace your legs against the sides of the bathroom walls so that you are stabilized and can reach the areas you need to wipe in order to clean your bottom. Then, as usual brace yourself against a wall to secure a diaper on. I would also highly suggest wearing a premium diaper along the lines of a Bambino Diaper…that sort of premium. It will allow more wettings and provides more of a cushion and barrier between your bottom and the outside which also helps to contain the smell.

Some of these are obvious tips but some aren’t, so hopefully these tips help you next time you decide to wear a diaper on an airplane and need to change. If you have any other tips please do share them as I am just basing this off my personal experiences and what I have done.

Exercise is an important part of maintaining good physical and mental health. For people with incontinence or that wear diapers for any other purpose should be able to exercise while still wearing protection. I am a big supporter of exercise and I exercise constantly. For me, I have successfully been able to find intuitive ways of exercising whether it is running, biking, yoga, or any other exercise while wearing diapers. I will share my tips and the ways I go about wearing diapers while exercising.

First, the most important thing I would say in wearing diapers during exercise is the clothing you choose. I almost always wear spandex pants or compression shorts with my diapers. The tightness of the spandex pants or compression shorts minimizes the bulk of the diaper while also keeping the crinkle factor to a minimum during exercise. These spandex and compression shorts are typically good at getting rid of moisture as well so that will help in regards to the sweating from the diaper. For girls, wearing spandex pants or compression shorts is not too big of a deal but guys may be timid about wearing such tight clothing. If you are timid about wearing tight clothing such as spandex pants or compression shorts, then I would suggest buying shorts that come with a built in liner. This will at least provide some sort of compression while also providing a little bit of moisture protection. Men or women who want to wear diapers while biking though probably won’t find it a problem wearing tight clothes as that is the standard type of clothing most bikers wear and you will not feel out of place wearing spandex clothing whether you are a man or woman.

Second, use a petroleum jelly or friction protector in the groin area where the diaper can rub against your skin. The repetitive motion while exercising is a breeding ground for creating diaper rash so make sure to use a lot of protection in regards to petroleum jelly or something to reduce the friction where the diaper rubs against the skin.

Third, wear disposable plastic diapers and not cloth. Cloth diapers will actually make you hotter and have a higher chance of giving you a friction rash than the smooth plastic diaper. So, go with a plastic disposable diaper when exercising.

Fourth, use baby powder in your diaper in order to reduce moisture collection and keeping your lower body cool. Baby powder or its equivalents are good for keeping moisture to a minimum within the diaper and can also help to promote coolness in your lower body.

Finally, I always promote proper hydration during exercise and so that is going to be my final point. Wearing a diaper during exercise increases your sweating naturally so you are going to lose more water through sweat. So, make sure you hydrate properly so that you do not become dehydrated during exercise. Also proper hydration can have an effect on your performance.

Wearing diapers during exercise is actually quite doable with taking the necessary steps to protecting your skin and minimizing the “bulk” factor of the diaper. That is why I highly suggest the compression pants or shorts to minimize the bulk and make the diaper “thinner” in a sense by compressing it. You will then still be able to gain the protection you need from the diaper while also being able to engage in exercise. Don’t let incontinence or the fact that wearing a diaper discourage you from getting exercise. Just take the necessary precautions and my tips to help you. Just let me know if I left something out or you want to know any additional tips that I may have left out.

I know I mentioned a while back that I have been trying to eat healthier and it has been going pretty good for the most part. During the week is easy to eat healthy because we mainly eat at home and force ourselves to make something healthier for us rather than go out to eat. The weekends is when it starts to become hard because we have worked all week, don’t feel like making anything and just want to go out to eat. Plus, we enjoy seeing movies and what not which is like automatic candy craving for me. So, I would say that besides the weekends – we have both been doing pretty well in regards to eating healthier.

We have both been exercising a lot more too where it is to the point that if we miss an exercise day then we feel guilty for not doing anything. But, I am finally starting to see some weight being lost which is positive. He drops weight like it is nothing but I lose weight really slow. I have heard most women lose weight at a slower rate than men though which is frustrating.

Anyways, it is funny because we have a scale in our bathroom and a lot of times after I have wet my diaper I will stand on the scale in just a diaper and weigh myself with the diaper on. Then, I would take the diaper off just to see how much weight I essentially lost in water/urine weight. I know that is strange but its entertaining because it is like an immediate weight drop. Try it sometime. I think the most amount I have lost after I wet my diaper was like 2 pounds basically. That is a lot of urine. I am sure if you are drunk and had a lot to drink then you could probably even beat that.

The Good and Bad of the ABDL Community Mindsets

The ABDL community is a unique community in a lot of ways. Both good and bad. Adult babies and diaper lovers can bask in the fact that no other fetish/lifestyle is similar to it in mindset or object. There is a large complexity to the ABDL mindset that goes beyond any sort of sexual manner that most other lifestyles entrench themselves in. Unfortunately, this complexity not only attracts “bad” people but also it breeds, in a sense, everything from insecurity to obsession in many people.

This leads me into my main point of this post. Life is too short to waste your time bathing in hate and negativity or wasting the time of your life conjuring up internet supporters for a flame campaign on someone or something. If a random person were to browse the forums of ABDL sites they would come across a lot of good and helpful information which is awesome; but they would also be able to easily pick out those that seem to be on a mission to be negative about just about everything. This is an unfortunate formation within the ABDL community. Small elitist niche groups form and find themselves above others and feel because they believe something or say “it is” then that is how it should be.

I have never once asked anyone nor forced anyone to believe what I believe. I have never forced anyone to believe that I am a girl. If you want to believe that I am a girl typing behind this computer than awesome. If you think I am a guy with some elaborate scheme to waste my life tricking the ABDL community somehow for some benefit – then fine, believe it. I can only write and share within my limits and what I am comfortable with. If you find it hard to believe certain things I say or find it “impossible” then I am OK with that. Life is just too short for me to please everyone. People are always going to be stuck in their ways and it is just a mindset you have to accept about people.

There are so many wonderful people within the ABDL community that are kind-hearted and supportive. But, then there are always the select few that recruit a following to support their beliefs. Which, if you want to waste your time convincing “internet strangers” to believe you or follow you then more power to you.

I am not going to name any names or call anyone out but I will say there are those, sadly they are girls and couples, that form a little friendship group to basically “rule” the ABDL community. And, because they expose their faces all over the ABDL community and have met “tons” of ABDLs then what they say should go and be taken as fact AND if not then because they have nothing better to do with their time, they will make it goal to bring that person down (nice isn’t it?). But, hey if your in their group its utopia…..if you are in their group and earn your spot!

I tried maturely contacting one of the people that “flamed” me or whatever you call it since they live legitimately close by. I tried to clear a few things up and of course she/he sounded up to meeting at some point when schedules allow. Which I am fine with…but THEN, she/he goes and posts on their small group forum how proud they are they called me out on what their views are and I am going to quote her:

“If we meet and she can prove she is who she claims to be… she will gain a loyal supporter. If she fails, I’ll bury her.”

I did not agree to this meeting to prove anything – I just wanted to make some friends for us. Ever since moving from Florida we have been busy and haven’t met too many people besides a few people from Peter’s graduate classes at night at NC State. So, of course it would be neat to meet someone that hopefully is sane and shares the same diaper interest. But, it looks like all this meeting would be is to “prove” ourselves…and here is the great part – if we don’t – then she/he will “bury me“. Doesn’t that make any of you want to jump in a car and meet this awesome person? Though I am still considering it, I was hoping for a little more mature mindset from someone of that age and situation.

My only point here is that there are A LOT of great people within the ABDL community – doctors, lawyers, military, service people, grass-cutters, construction workers, and thousands of great occupations – but, I don’t know why people concern themselves with the inconsequential when life is just so short. I could worry all day whether some girl across the United States from me is going to believe me or is going to talk trash about me or others OR…get this…I could go to work and talk with my awesome co-workers and earn money for raising a family one day and having fun AND enjoying a healthy social life outside of the internet with real people AND maybe going to see The Time Traveler’s Wife if I can stay awake that late to go see it…all while being positive I think I will take the latter like I typically do!
