<p><strong>Brief:</strong> Volkswagen decided to sponsor the Planeta Terra Festival (big music fest in São Paulo) as it was a great opportunity to bring their trendy car, the Fox, closer to city’s youth. Then came our challenge: spread the Fox message beyond the event walls, reaching every youngster in São Paulo.</p>
<p><strong>Solution:</strong> First, we spread a series of tickets in different places within’ São Paulo. Then, we launched an online platform where visitors could see the Google Maps of the entire city. The mechanic was simple: the more tweets #foxatplanetaterra, the closer the zoom on the map. The first one to get to the ticket, won it. This went on for four days straight.</p>
<p><strong>Results:</strong> The tweet #foxatplanetaterra became a TrendTopic in São Paulo in less than 2 hours, where it remained for the entire length of the competition.</p>

<p>BBDO New York, on behalf of our client Gillette, is in the process of staging the world’s biggest shave on the world’s biggest stage – New York City.  We have produced a painted billboard in the heart of SoHo that features Yankees star Derek Jeter.  It is being repainted daily to reflect various stages of men’s grooming e.g., Jeter with rarely seen stubble, then with shave prep, and finally with his famously clean-shaven face. The three-day cycle began on Wednesday, February 16 and will be repeated through Sunday, March 6.  It’s part of Gillette’s ongoing efforts to demonstrate the outstanding performance of Gillette’s grooming regimen (or as the copy says, “Everyday masterpiece”). The billboard itself requires ten gallons of paint, as Derek Jeter’s face is about 20 feet wide, and the two painters have more than 45 years’ experience between them painting billboards.</p>

DDB Auckland ads were placed on the virgin thighs that are exposed in this latest trend, by putting indented plates across the inner city and fashion district bus stops, mall seats and park benches, so that when people sat down the message was imprinted on their thighs. This meant that as well as having branded seats, a veritable army of free media was created for Superette, with thousands of imprints being created and lasting up to an hour. Plus, by the nature of where the ads were placed, only the hippest young cats were seen advocating the brand.</p></blockquote>
