A Via Ferrata may be horizontal, vertical or a combination and can involve ascent and descent. The location we use of Cortina d’Ampezzo is fantastic, the refuge sits 1000m above the town of Cortina with panoramic views of the mountains.

We have a highly qualified team of Via Ferrata instructors. Gavin Baxter, our mountaineering training officer, set up the UK's only Via Ferrata in the Lake District and is currently doing the second. Each day’s route/activity is logged with the refuge and the Carabinieri (Mountain Police). We have extensive knowledge of the surrounding area and permissions - having spent 6 seasons there, this allows us, for example, to get closer to the via ferrata negating a long walk in/out.

We also have:
• Italian language provision.
• safety management protocols
• guides are expedition first aid trained and carry a two way radio

See our Via Ferrata page for more information on equipment, experience, insurance and an itinery example. We will be producing blogs for groups and schools and a web gallery along with a dvd/slideshow presentation.

adventuraexpeditions.com

www.adventuraexpeditions.com tel +44(0)844 587 3025
