Adventures of Coco

Coco in the class room!

2014-03-11T09:44:00.000-05:00

Recently I gave a talk about art in Quinn's class and we got to talk about Coco. At the end, Quinn did a wonderful job describing both books in a colourful way. She introduced the second book "Coco goes to Rome" by saying, "Coco is a dog who loves spaghetti!" She also mentioned that you and Coco will learn about Rome from her newfound friend Mario while searching for the cats of Rome. At the end of the talk Quinn handed out our bookmarks, everyone happy! Both books can be found in the school library and the fans now own a signed copy.

Our First review!!!

2014-01-30T21:16:00.000-06:00

We received our first Blog review on our Coco goes to Rome book!!!
Thanks again Thatartsyreadergirl Blog!! check it out when you have a chance :)
Here is a glimpse:

Coco Goes to Rome is written in a fun, sing song rhyming style that I can easily see children memorizing quickly. I loved the whimsical illustrations of the familiar sights of Rome. If you look closely, you can find some little kitties hidden within them. We also get to learn the names of some of the most famous pieces of architecture. In the very back of the book is a glossary with further explanation on some elements in the book. I really love and appreciate the message of the story, which would be fun to discuss with a little one: if you’re sweet and nice to those around you, you’re more of a star than the most famous celebrity. It’s all about doing what’s right.

2013-10-25T10:27:00.000-05:00

We received our first proof paper book version of "Coco goes to Rome"! Vanessa got hers first mine took a week longer due to the shipping time to Singapore. Yesterday it arrived and we can both say that we are very excited with the results so far!
Before we can show you the final book in November still lots have to be done though. Meanwhile, we will keep you updated with glimpses of the book. We stepped into the world of self publishing which is an interesting adventure with some challenging obstacles on the way. And although Vanessa and I live on two different parts of the world across 12 time zones, email is our lifeline.

We need your help to cover the rest of the world. If you know someone who would like to be part of Coco's adventure we'd love to hear from you! We are thinking of blog reviews, sharing links, sharing the book by reading it at school, or perhaps you happen to know a bookstore around the corner that might be interested ... or if your dog looks like Coco, send us a pic!

We would be very grateful!

2012-02-04T10:23:00.000-06:00

... We are currently working on the paper print version of Coco on Safari and we are going to publish it on demand ourselves. Writing and illustrating is one thing but publishing this book is a whole new world for us with lots to learn and explore. Publishing the eBook version has been a great tool to start out with though. We are grateful for our facebook friends of friends and of friends who spread the word of our book through the world. We have been thinking and also receiving suggestions of where Coco is going next. Italy ranks high on our list of destinations. We'll keep you posted!

First Questions Received and Answered

2011-12-14T08:22:00.001-06:00

Hello,
We have a great response with lots of people downloading the ebook! Still two days to go for a free download, it will go to $0.99 thereafter. If you happen to be an Amazon user, we would be thrilled if you could leave a review on amazon! It is not that hard or scary ;-)

These were some of the questions we received and thought it was a good idea to share with everyone:

Will there be a printed book version?

Yes! That is our goal but for right now we are testing the waters with this Kindle version. If there is sufficient response we will publish Coco on Safari on paper on demand.
