Sat, 18 Feb 2012 22:06:00 -0800 Ava Zinn on Facebook: Nobody saw this coming http://home.aeverine.info/ava-zinn-on-facebook-nobody-saw-this-coming http://home.aeverine.info/ava-zinn-on-facebook-nobody-saw-this-coming
In a surprise of 2012 so far, Aeverine Zinn (yours truly) unfriended five individuals on Facebook Saturday night.
As your truly nominated the five individuals: Criag Markley, Brandon Jones, Dannielle Dooley, and Amber Dooley, other Facebook friends shouted "no" and other close friends of Zinn looked stunned. Robyn Hurd, on the verge of tears, said she was surprised and speechless.
If Hoosiers didn't respond, they certainly did after the results. Ava's Facebook chat lit up instantly with messages of outrage and disbelief.

My reasons for unfriending the five individuals:

Danniele Dooley - "Dannielle finally found her voice with me. Unfortunately, it was when she was being unfrinded"

Brandon Jones - "Brandon's lack of fight-back told me he's not ready to continue as a FB friend. The remaining FB friends need to know it's not about what they've done in the past. It's what they do here that counts."

Amber Dooley - "The only thing bigger than Amber's ego are the lies she tells, and I can't have that in my FB profile."

Craig Markey - "When 2012 first started, I thought Craig was the one to beat. But after tonight's dismal posts, he's now the one sent packing."

Mary Lamb - "Mary didn't let her lack of LGBT community  experience get in the way. She made it this far because of her passion and determination. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough to get her into 2013."

Of course, the surviving Facebook friends were pretty vocal after the news that I had unfriended the five.

Nakoa: People who say negative things about others are just ignorant

Robyn Hurd : Of course I am sad for the five individuals that Ava gave the boot to and what was worse that two of them were (my) acquaintances. But Ava, I think it was something you needed to do and bit the bullet.

Hillary Matthewson (Robyn's transgendered wife): Exactly what happens when a transgirl is pushed severely to her limit or breaking point. I'm wondering, Ava, is that has what made a record unfriending. Five individuals getting unfriended over something that could have been easily resolved.

Tue, 14 Feb 2012 12:41:09 -0800 It doesn't always end well for former flames of Aeverine Zinn http://home.aeverine.info/it-doesnt-always-end-well-for-former-flames-o http://home.aeverine.info/it-doesnt-always-end-well-for-former-flames-o Well, today is Valentine's Day and I figured it is a good post about previous relationships, which has gained a lot of controversy and complaints in recent years, and with the Indiana Civil Rights Commission striking down "Jesscia's Policy" last April that caused yours truly to declare single as her relationship status for the first time in nearly 20 years.   For the past year and a half, I have been talking a lot of late about what would happen if I had to declare single after a break up and failure to finding a replacement, it is exactly what happned.   Since March of 2011, I have been in talks with Amber Dooley to replace Christy Johnson, but very little progress has been made to make that a reality.   Within a year after the break up with Christy, it turns out (according to confirmed sources) she is still on court commitement and still doing speed (or caffine pills.)   But go back to my very first relationship with Amanda from January 1993 until December 1997 -- nearly nine years after I broke up with Amanda, it was learned that she was driver of a white vehicle that hit Sadie Hutchinson and killed Thomas Taz -- a hit and run that I was an eyewitness to on the afternoon of November 29., 2006 at the 1600 block of South Nebraska Street in Marion. She was found liable of the death of Taz and had to pay nearly $60,000 in costs.    I just contacted another person I went to school with and now residing in Bloomington (Indiana's largest LGBT community)  has decalred single this past Sunday. While several of my friends that declare single after a break up are heaping up on the online dating scene to find someone new, so far, it is not working out in Marion.   According to my research, the chances of finding someone new to replace Christy (and most likely Amber Dooley will withdraw her offer, which she might based on what opponents say) in Marion are not good compared to Indianapolis and or Fort Wayne, which are slighly higher.   So far, as of Februiary 2011, only one person on Plenty of Fish seems to be interested and two women on Adult Friend Finder do seem interested.

Memories of madness and cries of agony. A failure to find someone new to replace Christy Johnson as the girlfriend of yours truly, although a ruling on a dating/relationship policy ruled unconstitutional caused a yours truly to declare single for the first time in nearly 20 years. Also yours truly auditioned for the 11th season of American Idol and made the initial cut.

Brittani Gerstorff has her title as my prom date stripped after an investigation that lasted nearly 10 years after evidence showed that she did not fulfill the obligations on April 28, 2001. It was also revealed that Gerstorff indirectly caused the dismissal of yours truly from Indiana Wesleyan University on September 27, 2001.

After conducting her own investigation that started nearly 10 years earlier and tips that poured in following complaints of Jessica's Policy and with the help of private detective Randy Weinstein and case coordinator Jenna McCoy, Aeverine Zinn stripped Brittani Gerstorff of her title as Zinn's prom date and banned her for 20 years from participating in Aeverine Zinn-run events as either a date or a friend. Weinstein concluded that Gerstorff knew about the the chain of events of Zinn that soon followed before it happened and displayed "a clear disregard for fairness, good sportsmanship and ethical behavior". The prom date title is still yet to determined.

In 2012, the stakes are even higher and more intense than ever before.

The friends, colleagues, and acquaintences will be put to the ultimate test in ways they've never imagined. Some will have the time of their lives. But for others it will be their worst nightmare and wish they've never been born.

2012 will be like anything you've ever seen in recent years.

What is at stake in 2012:

Carey Services Colleagues - An invitation to my 30th Birthday party (whether it is in Marion, Fort Wayne, or Indianapolis), for a majority of the colleagues and superiors.

Cornerstone/CSP - Renewal of treatment or may receive services at the Park Center in Fort Wayne or Gallahue Mental Health Services in Indianapolis--thus ending a 25 year relationship with Grant Blackford Mental Health.

You can bet I will even push my friends, colleagues, superiors, and acquaintences even harder than in years past.

Sun, 18 Dec 2011 09:36:30 -0800 Santa Ava's Christmas List Results 2011: Cornerstone/CSP http://home.aeverine.info/santa-avas-christmas-list-results-2011-corner http://home.aeverine.info/santa-avas-christmas-list-results-2011-corner

It was another year of surprises on Ava's Christmas List: Cornerstone version in 2011, with perhaps three of the most respected superiors ending up on the naughty list. I did say at the beginning off 2011, "the year is going to be a real bitch".

My American Idol audition in Pittsburgh plans (or lack thereof) played a predominant role in the decision who landed Best of Nice, Nice, Best of Naughty, or Naughty.

I made the Christmas list and told Abby Key and Erin Hooten they were on one category, Tina Sumner and the landlady on another earlier in the month.

First to know her fate was Abby Key, when I reminded her comment and said, "I can tell you that you will be throwing snowballs... at Ann Leavitt and potentially the landlady." She was declared nice by receiving a Christmas card and two candy canes on Wednesday (12/14). This indicated that Ann was on Santa Ava's Naughty List.

Then came the landlady and the maintenance guy to learn their fate, knowing the landlady already thinking her fate and commented, "I'm probably on the naughty list." The maintenance man got a Christmas card on the Maintenance bulletin board early Friday morning (12/16.)

Ann Leavitt, Bonnie Emerick, and Erin Hooten were next. It was confirmed that Ann Leavitt was the first naughty individual on "Santa Ava's Christmas List" with a coal and a copy of two letters I intercepted from my best friend of nearly 25 years, Robyn and former colleague at NoSirGifts, Lynsey. I then told Ann that it was her fourth conservative time and fifth overall

The results at Cornerstone would wait until I attended a Christmas party later in the day. That was because I had to deliver Christmas Cards to my colleagues and superiors at Carey Services. For those results, watch Aeverine.info on Tuesday (12/20)

Before the Christmas party, Bonnie received a Christmas card, but since I had an appointment with Erin, she received a Christmas card and two candy canes. Erin and Abby were declared "Best of Nice." Erin joins Cristi Kaufman and Paige Lank to make Best of Nice in their first year with Ava. While Abby joins Jenna McCoy, Rebecca Lencheck, and Lynne Mong to have never been on Santa Ava's Naughty list, though the latter of the two have been on the Best of Naughty.

After the Christmas party at Cornerstone, Sumner and Ava's landlady already looked strange and disappointed.

"And now the final result. The person on Santa Ava's Naughty List and joining Ann (Leavitt) is – both of you.."

I am explaining why Ann, Tina, and my landlady landed on Naughty on "Santa Ava's Christmas List".

Ann Leavitt - Causing yours truly nearly lose the opportunity to audition for the 11th season of American Idol and/or failed to offer yours truly a reasonable solution that meets my requirements. Although I raised enough funds for a round-trip Greyhound bus ticket from Marion to Pittsburgh by raising $175 herself (yet for the second time found herself without a hotel room).

Tina Sumner - Much less severe than Ann's. Sumner hassled with yours truly over Pia Toscano's elimination on April 7 (which happened to be my mother's birthday) and , stating that yours truly had no business in Pittsburgh (before I left for Pittsburgh)

Ava's Landlady - Causing yours truly to be late to work on at least three occasions in one quarter. Also, due to Rags' eviction on July 12, caused by making a servere mess, the landlady automatically landed on the naughty list, by default.

There may be a silver lining for Leavitt, Sumner, and Ava's Landlady -- had December 2011 alone been just a year, Sumner and Leavitt would have landed at least Best of Naughty on Santa Ava's Christmas List. Santa Ava will grant immunity to Leavitt, Sumner, and Ava's Landlady for the first quarter 2012 in the event should Melanie Amaro win the first season of "The X Factor," immunity in the second quarter in the event should at least one of my fellow American Idol contestants from the Pittsburgh audition make the Top 5. Guaranteed immunity for those three for the first semester of 2012 will occur in the event should Melanie Amaro win the first season of The X Factor AND a girl wins American Idol 's 11th season.

Sun, 18 Dec 2011 09:20:00 -0800 Santa Ava's Christmas List 2011: Carey Services http://home.aeverine.info/santa-avas-christmas-list-2011-carey-services http://home.aeverine.info/santa-avas-christmas-list-2011-carey-services

It is that time of year again just the week before Christmas and as one song mentions: You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout. Well I'll say better make idiotic mistakes, better not push Ava too far, and best of all do phenomenally well. I mean, clearly you’re here to read all about "Santa Ava's Christmas List" Carey Services version in 2011 . Or are you here just to read what I say? I bet that’s the real reason. Either way, shall we get into the recap of who's Naughty or Nice on Santa Ava's Christmas List in 2011?

Your wish has been granted, let’s begin.

Some Results (began 12/6)? NO WAY! (With Irrelevant Thoughts from Robyn Matthewson and Holly Everman.)

Best of NaughtyBest of NiceSandy (McCullough): Robyn didn’t like the fact that Sandy's emotions got the best of him. Holly Everman said that Sandy is typically a 9 or 10, but in 2011 she was an 8. I think that is being extremely generous, especially given how in 2010 I got criticized for the use of profanity, which even Robyn and Holly know that my frequent use of expletives earn yours truly the title of "Indiana's Worst Entrepreneurs". Sandy was placed to the far right of the list.

Stacie (Thomason): Robyn and Holly thinks she should be in the naughty category, based on an incident with one of my former colleagues in February. Holly gave Stacie the same critique Robyn did: great on the first song, but she really held back on the big moment of "Unchained Melody." She was sent to the far left of the list.

SAME S#!T, DIFFERENT SHOW

On December 8, it appeared that Marcus Canty, who had already been there twice before, was about to be eliminated. But the judges' votes were deadlocked, and Steve Jones, host of the X Factor, she was eliminated after she had fewer votes than Canty. Immediately after the results were revealed, Crow collapsed on stage and sobbed inconsolably. Nicole Scherzinger, the judge responsible for sending the vote to Deadlock, was visibly upset by the result (sound familiar to the eliminations of Siobhan Magus and Pia Toscano on American Idol?). When Steve Jones asked Nicole if she had anything to say, she turned away from Jones and was booed by the audience for taking the vote to deadlock.Nicole should have remained co-host and should have never been a judge.

More Results! (12/13)

Best of NiceJackie (Dickerson): Robyn thought alerting yours truly for my swearing on November 18 after an accidental spill and lack of napkins in the cafeteria kinda broke her. Holly called it a tough call. Jackie was placed in the same list as Stacie.

Kim (Stewart): Robyn loves a great hard worker. Thought she did the best. Holly praised Kim for killing it in 2011, giving her a 10 across the board. I agree with that completely. Kim was placed in the same list as Sandy.

GO MELANIE! WIN THE X FACTOR!!!!!GO, MELANIE! (12/15)

Finally some justice for Rachel Crow when Steve Jones announced that Marcus Canty was finally eliminated.

But first, while I was waiting for the results, an American Idol promo came on and finally revealed my status in the American Idol competition (HINT: There is a slim chance that I will be seen on national TV)

More, more, more results (11:30 AM 12/16)

NaughtyAfter letting Ann Leavitt over at Cornerstone that she was naughty (and did not get a Christmas Card at all, starting in 2011, it will have the autograph of yours truly that began with the American Idol audition in Pittsburgh) on "Santa Ava's Christmas List," clad in a Santa hat, red top with a red turtleneck underneath, red pants, with make-up and eyelashes done, and looked dolled-up It was time to deliver Christmas presents to my colleagues at Carey Services.... for the first time ever. It should be noted that I am in familiar company at Carey Services as two of my colleagues, Garon Losure and Sheena Burdette, all went to school with yours truly, while Bill Rock, Kim Jackson, and Jackie Dickerson,

First to learn her fate was Jennifer Ehmer. She received a Christmas card, which indicated she landed "Best of Naughty."
Next was Bill Rock. He received a Christmas Card and a Candy cane, which indicated he landed "Nice"
Next was Anna Thomas, Richard, and Debi Johnson, as they also received Christmas cards. Only Richard got a candy cane attached, but inadvertently gave Garon's card as it also contained the same candy cane as Mr. Rock's.
Then Mike (one of my colleagues) and Shawn Fulton were the first of the colleagues to learn their fate as they both received Christmas Cards with a candy cane attached. I then told Shawn,  "Had you not made the 36 BFF Government, you would have been on the Naughty list" and mentioned about what happened between another Jackie and Shawn.

And last but not least of the Production supervisors, was Juli Jackson awaiting to learn her fate as follows:

NiceJuli (Jackson): Robyn thinks Juli with have an extraordinary future with Ava as a colleague or not. I then admitted to Juli last year she was not naughty -- that told Juli "you were never naughty and this year is no different" -- and that she was nice  But, then I did that one little terrible thing where I asked Juli to pick the list she thought was nice (the list with Stacie and Jackie or Kim and Sandy). Only Juli didn’t want too (obviously) so I moved her to the far right where Kim and Sandy, and told all 3 of them that they were nice on Santa Ava's Christmas List. Juli, Kim, and Sandy all received a Christmas Card and a candy cane attached to the card.

After Juli's fate was revealed, I then went to the Plant Manager's office and gave Richard the right Christmas Card and also delivered Pam her Christmas Card with candy cane attached.

That left Stacie and Jackie still awaiting their fate Stacie was off that day and she would learn her fate the following Tuesday,. Both were to be "Best of Naughty." BUT WAIT--Jackie and Stacie ended up getting two Christmas Cards, indicating that they are in a new category--"Honorable Mention"--which is used as a wild card pick. In a Facebook post by yours truly on the Carey Services page, it is revealed that two more would join Jackie and Stacie. See Notes for more details.

On Tuesday, the rest of "Santa Ava's Christmas List" will be revealed.

NOTES:

1 Recipient got two Christmas Cards--one for the recipient and one for the recipient's family member or a candidate of Ava Zinn's choice
2 Dickerson and Thomason were initially on Best of Naughty, but later moved to Honorable Mention. Both Dickerson and Thomason blew the whistle on Zinn on November 18 after Zinn was criticized her use of expletives and on February 18 after an incident involving a former colleague on Dickerson's team, respectively. Dickerson got a second Christmas Card for her daughter, Jennifer on December 16 while Thomason got a second Christmas Card for her husband, Kirk, on December 20.
3 Burdette and Jackson were initially on Nice, but also moved to Honorable Mention. Budette's long-time friend (she has asked yours truly not to reveal her name) gave or intercepted a tip in March that lead yours truly to take action on the revocation of the prom date title from Brittani Gerstoff. Jackson, meanwhile, impressed yours truly within a short amount of time. Jackson got a second Christmas Card with a candy cane attached for her daughter, Rhamey while Burdette got a second Christmas Card with a candy cane attached for her long-time friend, on December 20, respectively.

Tue, 27 Sep 2011 12:58:18 -0700 IWU Dismissal Ten Years Later http://home.aeverine.info/iwu-dismissal-ten-years-later http://home.aeverine.info/iwu-dismissal-ten-years-later
The dismissal of yours truly and the chain reaction that followed is perhaps one of the most infamous college dismissals. It is certainly one of the most frustrating. Over the years after that fateful Thursday morning, a suspect confessed and recanted several times. But as of March 2011, the prime suspect of my IWU dismissal is identified.

Two bags of Lay's Potato Chips and two 12-12 ounce cans of Coca-Cola were on sale at Lance's New Market and K-Mart, respectively for $10.50 on the week that changed my life forever. I can also say that on September 27, 2001, my wife was at the south side Marion Marsh picking up a jar of Ragu Spagetti Sauce (for 88 cents each) and bananas (38 cents a pound) and the CVS pharmacy next door to get a couple of two-liters of Coca-Cola (which were also on sale at $1.99 for two,) and then stopping at the Speedway station to get gas for car. It would be the very last time that my wife and to a much more servere extent, yours truly would ever set foot in that area.

In September of 2001, I was among the more than 700 freshmen and new students at Indiana Weslean University. There was a lot of construction, remodeling, and apparently as it turned out may be the potential cause of what I always have belived to this day ten years later that caused my dis-enrollment from Indiana Wesleyan University,.There were many services that should have been available for yours truly, such as a commuter's lounge at IWU (that was not available), and the suggestion of a food pantry. Had those been available PRIOR to ten years ago today, I would have offically be posting as an alumnus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

I was a typical 18-year-old college freshman whose life revolved around media and education. I lived with my mother, Margaret, my brother, Albert, and to a lesser extent, my newlywed wife, Angela, in a comfortable three bedroom home on North Branson Street in the near northeast side of Marion. The household also consisted with my youngest pet nephew (Albert's boy), Baxter, turning 3 that October, and my boy, Timothy Rags, turning two that November. Angela had her own place in Gas City.

September 27, 2001 started like any other fall morning for the Zinn's. My mother, Margaret, 58, planned her day over a cup of coffee and in poor health. Yours truly, went to college as usual just sixteen days after the horrific tragedy of 9/11. Angela was helping Albert getting prepared for his new job at Leroy's, while Baxter and Rags were watched cartoons on the family couch. Angela was heading to the gym, but needed to run a few errands for herself before going to her doctor's appointment over in Gas City.

Angela fed Rags a hot dog and took him out for a walk while Baxter watching the Game Show Network. Rushed for time, Angela let it go. And besides, it was unusually mild, around 57-60 degrees already. Angela, Albert, and I got into what was considered to be the family car, a tan 1981 Ford F-150, and took off to run errands.Angela had to get her car (a Chevy Lumina) out of Intergrity. At the time there were family issues with my step-grandfather, in which I will explain in more details at a later date.

After dropping off yours truly at IWU , Albert dropped Angela off to the Marsh store in the Panamora Plaza, to see about some items they had on sale, (the spagetti sauce and bananas). Angela entered the store and walked past the customer service desk and entered the grocery department. It was around 9:00 a.m. There was a tons of construction at the Indiana Wesleyan University Student Center which lacked a Commuter's Lounge. Also hampering were family budget trouble (at least with yours truly and Angie), which did not help matters at all.

What Are the Next Steps?

In the fall of 2001, yours truly was living the Hoosier dream. I was starting to build a degree in Special Education and had the potential to building a successful teaching career.

Only five to ten minutes after being informed that I was dis-enrolled from Indiana Wesleyan University, most of my friends from school were wondering "Where's Frank?". They had no idea that I was no longer enrolled from Indiana Wesleyan University. I informed my professors and a few of my friends at IWU that I had been suspended. I will never forget my mother's expression when she threw her hands as if she was successful (and did not even care) that I was dismissed from Indiana Wesleyan University; my wife, on the other hand, was extremely devastated (and this was only four months after I got married) and I was pretty sure that the marriage would not work.

My search for another college that September afternoon grew into a years-long search for answers: Who caused yours truly to be dis-enrolled from IWU? Why did this happen? When will I return to IWU? But in the months (later years) that followed, the harsh reality set in.

Finally, A Break?

As the months and years went by with little progress on my IWU readmission, in August of 2002, a woman I took to the Mississinewa 500 (Brittani), reportedly confessed to causing my dis-enrollment from IWU. It was the beginning of a whole new emotional roller coaster for yours truly, and assistance from Cornerstone was needed after Dr. Maloney apparently screwed my education up and Vocational Rehabiliatation did not offer a solution. It was also the beginning of a much bigger change that changed my family's landscape forever.

After numerous consulting over at Cornerstone, a client of the mental health facility told me to take the university to civil court for "wrongful dismissal" even though the Indiana Statues of Limitations expired on September 27, 2007.

Denied Closure

That very night my brother, Albert, took his own life in August of 2002 sat off at a dramatic event in my life lead to more weaknesses exposed, such as more financial problems that stemmed from not only my IWU dismissal and failing to find another college plus the deaths of my mother and brother: The person responsible for my IWU dismissal had been located and confessed. I thought we were on the way to closure.

Yours truly, then a 19 year-old and my wife, then 24, newly-wed had separated a month after Albert's death, but reconciled after I came out as a transgednered lady. But there was still no IWU readmission. Without a new college to attend, thus the college credits from IVY Tech needed to transfer back to IWU,  my 21st Century Scholars scholarship would soon be expired.

On November 1, 2003, a little over two years after my IWU dismissal, the woman (according to reports) recanted, saying she did not kill my IWU enrollment.

From Frank to Ava... Making Progress, but still no closure

In the summer of 2003, in a conversation with Blake Pattison, in what would prove to be my last one as "Frank," and months later realized I could no longer deal with the devastating setbacks that followed my IWU dismissal. It was either "commit suicide or make a change" I obviously chose the latter after an earlier attempt back in 1995. I eventually concluded that I would be a lackluster student in the event should I return to IWU. In July of 2005, someone I went to IWU with joined the Grant Blackford Mental Health staff by the name of Paige Lank--a fellow Indiana Wesleyan University Alum from the Class of 2003--and a year earlier changed my name from "Frank Zinn to Aeverine 'Ava' (Zinn) Nieves". With new changes in place, family, relationship, and lifestyle qualities began to improve, but still had no college experience, but made significant progress. Despite a stronger qualities now as "Ava", yours truly barely registered as a blip in the steps needed to return to IWU.

In February 2005, yours truly changed gender roles to the female role citing low quality as a male. While leaving Angela (now as a lesbian, though she came out as a bisexual back in 1993) after my gender change is complete, the gender switch gave the would have my mother her first daughter (once the change is completed). My mother always wanted a little girl but had only two sons, Albert and yours truly. Ironically, the gender identity switch actually helped yours truly, which had languished for years as "Frank".

Family Support Lost, Statues of Limitations pass, A Painful Mystery Remains

What may be the most bizarre twist in the IWU Cold Case occurred after 2003. Since most of my immediate family have since passed away, there was now a lack of family support  With the loss of family support, the opportunity to return to IWU once and for all is now gone. That lead to another change that would change Indiana's LGBT communities, I announced I was undergoing a gender change.

The investigation of my IWU dismissal was riddled with mistakes and missed opportunities, not because of a direct maliciousness towards the family, but because like many large colleges and universities Indiana Wesleyan University held onto their pride, wanting to handle the case their way.

Many believe someone from IWU lacked a "commuter's lounge" during construction that may have been avoided (had I been offered a favorable solution available or remedied before 9/27/01) or most likely someone from Mississinewa High School intentionally (either a professor of mine or an alumnus I went to school with) gave me wrong advice in the fall of 2000 and now painfully aware that tons of bureaucracy and red tape has been caused since they lacked the experience to even know when to ask for help.

More Problems Than Solutions

In the summer of 2009, with an ongoing gender transition from "Frank to Ava" saw an opportunity to attend a new college called Franklin University of Ohio. Franklin University had just opened a new Indianapolis location in the Caselton area, and eventually was accepted to Franklin University. There was just one problem - transportation.

On June 10, 2010, I took the placement testing and found out the lack of college education caused more problems and actually got worse as my Math, English, and Computer Skills went down the drain as I scored below the prerequisites of Franklin University's academic standards. I had sat up a telephone appointment to register for classes with Franklin University for August 16, 2010 only for someone from Grant Blackford caused me to miss the appointment. The appointment was eventually rescheduled to September 8, 2010 and was slated to finally start the next steps to transfer back to IWU.

Those plans came to a halt on September 8, 2010, however. On that day, Jay Dunlap, an enrollment advisor at Franklin University, informed me over the telephone that due to my placement testing scores on June 10, 2010, I would physically attend Franklin University of Ohio's Indianapolis campus. This would result in commuting from Marion to the Indianapolis/Caselton area and a very expensive travel budget. Mr. Dunlap offered a solution - needed to find a nearby community college or university, but neither IVY TECH nor IWU, were interested at first. Fearing I would never be able to find another college to attend in Marion (which very well may be the case), I began to follow-up on IVY TECH (now known as Ivy Tech Community College) since a few of my colleagues at Carey Services and public transportation being available.

New Developments in 2011

Earlier this year, one big piece of the cause of my dis-enrollment from Indiana Wesleayan University was solved. In March, the person that primarily caused my dis-enrollment from Indiana Wesleyan Univeristy was none other than Brittani Gerstorff. It was revealed that Gerstorff did not fulfill prom date duties by arriving nearly three hours late and retracted accounts of her involvement. A whistleblower, whom I am not going to mention, provided seemingly accurate descriptions as to how Gerstorff committed the ultimate betrayal of yours truly, and according to a private detective named Randy Weinstein described Gerstoff as a "prom bandit." Several witnesses also place Gerstorff at the Red Lobster in Muncie instead of the Applebee's in Marion in the hours leading up to what would have otherwise turn out to be a excellent prom night for yours truly. Afterwards, a trusted source told me that Gerstorff made a confession to what would be the primary cause of my disenrollment from Indiana Wesleyan University. Gerstorff's confession, however, had been viewed with skepticism. Although no new evidence was presented, on March 23, 2011, my case coordinator over at cornertone's Community Support Program and IWU alum announced, with yours truly present, that the case (as far as the prime suspect to my dis-enrollment from IWU) was now closed. An external review of the case had been conducted and the case coordiator announced that they were satisfied that Ms. Gerstorff was the prime suspect. However, during my high school reunion in July, it was revealed that.... It'll be on my YouTube channel soon.

As for attending Franklin University of Ohio in Indianapolis, that may soon become a reality pending more research needed. Only one town--Fort Wayne--is somehere I need to visit and make a final decision.

To fill the void between posts, I have decided to launch a new Aeverine.info feature called Aeverine Zinn on Google Maps. In a post like this, there will be a map in the post that will give followers on Aeverine.info. In this very first Aeverine Zinn on Google Maps, since the 10th anniversary of my dismissal from Indiana Wesleyan University is appraching, I have decided to create a Google Maps feature called "Ava's No IWU Zone." I first spoke about this with several of my friends and classmates during my high school reunion back in July. I rememeber Wendy (Becker) saying, "I don't blame you," after I commented on my IWU dismissal, "have never been in that vicinity since."

In all Google Maps posts, you can navigate around the map by placing your cusor (the hand) on the map and dragging the image around or by using the up, down, left, and right arrows in the upper left corner of the map.

Zoom in or out by using the plus (zoom in) or minus (zoom out) buttons on the left side of the map.

Clicking on an individual marker will give you information regarding that specific location

Tue, 06 Sep 2011 07:59:00 -0700 Aeverine Zinn continues to cut southside Marion stores http://home.aeverine.info/68062743 http://home.aeverine.info/68062743

A little over two months after Aeverine Zinn (yours truly) parted ways with the Advance Autio Parts, 2949 South Western Avenue in the south side of Marion. Another store has cut ties with yorus truly at the McClure Oil Station #4, 2915 South Admans Street.

This morning, the air temp was low 50's and getting coffee and trying to using a Coffee Club card on a refill, a female clerk in her late 40's early 50's informed me "not allowed on refills." That statement did not sit well with yours truly, as if the chilly Tuesday afternoon wasn't bad enough--due to the f***ing bureaucracy and red tape at the FSSA, I am now out nearly $110 (nealry the entire grocery buget.)

Earlier this year, the south side Advance Auto Parts in Marion and Mission Mart (in addition to Rescued Treasures in Gas City) joined Marsh Supermarkets, Dollar General, Dunham's Sports, Speedway, and Circle K (then Handy Andy) as stores "Aeverine ZInn is no longer welcome at this time." Nearly ten years after my Indiana Wesleyan University dismissal, I had no other choice but to quit shopping at the Marsh Supermarket, 4512 South Adamsn Street; Speedway, 4502 South Adams; CVS/pharmacy, 4512 South Adams (in October 2009, due to the new location at 4630 South Washington, the store is off my No-IWU Zone list of stores); Dollar General, 4815 South Western Avenue; and Dunhams Sports, 4807 South Western Avenue. The latter of the stores are located in my No-IWU Zone, in addition to having a channel block on the IWU television station (WIWU-TV) since 9/27.

The recent string of cutting ties with south side Marion stores comes after I recently auditioned for season 11 of American Idol (and having to donate plasma at the BioLife Center in Muncie as a condition), which has drawn the ire of local mental health agency, Grant Blackford Mental Health. Just hours before my high school reunion, I had been thrown out of the Grant County Rescue Mission after I had refused to take a cold drink of mine outside (it was a dangerously hot day with the heat index of well over 100 degrees) on the afternoon of July 29, 2011--as a result, Mission Mart and Rescued Treasures are stores I stopped shopping at.

Last month, I have written a letter to nearly all involed at Grant Blackford Mental Health, and have released a copy of the revised letter on September 1, 2011.

On a somewhat related note, I have mentioned there is a possibility that there could be a relocation for the first time in nearly 16 years to wither Indianapolis, Muncie, Kokomo, or Fort Wayne, reflect the evolving civil rights model for yours truly, not a warning shot across the bow of recalcitrant businesses or officials in Marion.

“It was not to send a message” to other individuals or buisinsses, “If we can’t come to an agreement with someone, we have to look at something else. … We needed to look at where we could associate and that’s what Ava's doing.”

On my Facebook page, I have released this statement:

There is a possibility that Aeverine Zinn will be relocating from Marion, Indiana to either Indianapolis, Muncie, Indiana, Kokomo, Indiana, or Fort Wayne, Indiana.

UPDATE (9/7/2011): Two more McClure stations, Stores #2 and #12 also face the possibility of yours truly being thrown out of.

Fri, 19 Aug 2011 07:29:13 -0700 Biking from Marion to Wabash http://home.aeverine.info/biking-from-marion-to-wabash http://home.aeverine.info/biking-from-marion-to-wabash For the second time in two weeks, yours truly went to another destination outside Grant County on bike. This time it was unexpected trip to Wabash.   As I made the 20 plus mile trip up north to Wabash on State Road 15, departing at approximately 2:30 PM and arriving in Wabash at 5:00 PM, I became impressed while visiting the True Value and Kroger stores (stores that Marion once had, but at the present time, does not).   According to a conversation with my mother in the late 1990's, she remembers there used to be a Kroger store (now occupied where Lance's NewMarket stands) until they left Marion in the early 1970's, based on a sign that I saw at Lance's NewMarket that they have been in Grant County for over 30 years (corect me if I am wrong because I am 28 and was not even born in the early 1970's.)   I had told cashiers at the Wabash CVS, True Value, Kroger, and Walmart that I biked from Marion and most of them looked amazed.   Also while I was in Wabash, I had did some shopping (mostly soda pop from Walmart and Kroger) and obtained a Kroger Plus card. While I was at the Wabash Walmart, I had a hunch (based on the Marion and Muncie Walmarts that I visited) they have a transgender-friendly restroom and had two-liter bottles of Sam's Choice Cherry Cola and Diet Mountain Lightning--two items that the Marion Walmart does not have and quite frankly, worth the two hour bike ride.   Before I visited the Walmart in Wabash, I obvioulsy went to the Kroger store where I purchased two liter bottles of the Kroger brand soda pop (even took a photo)   When I left Wabash around 7:30 PM, it started getting dark outside and had to get some fast food at the Speedway and a 64 ounce drink at the Crystal Flash, I realized that I am staring to take advantage of what "The Sky's the Limit" really means (since I remember that phrase on Jeopardy back in 2004.) When I stopped at the Circle K (that also houses a Subway restaurant and Noble Roman's Pizza) in LaFountaine, it was 9:00 PM.   The bike ride from LaFountaine to Marion normally would take about an hour, but because it was pitch dark most of the time, I had to really use caution. Yes, I had many close calls on State Road 15 such as being nearly sideswiped and run off the road -- now remember I had nearly 11 two liter bottles to bring home to Marion from Wabash at 9:00 AT NIGHT! Somewhere on State Road 15 between Thomas Road and Grant County 450 North (where my bike odometer hit 1100 miles), the odometer was gone (and eventually replaced). I realized that I really ned to make my bicycle safer.   When I arrived back in Marion it was nearly 11:00 PM and decided to make a stop at the Speedway store on the north side of Marion (and due to being dis-enrolled from Indana Weslean University, which is approaching the 10th anniversary, the Marion south side Marsh Supermarket and Speedway are off limits for yours truly) I realized I had made it back to Marion safely (which is most important thing I have to remember.)   As of July 4, 2011, yours truly eliminated the "Marion, Indiana only" rule that has been in the Zinn family for nearly 25 years, and the bike trips to Muncie and Wabash and to a lesser extent Gas City, Van Buren, and LaFountaine are proof and really redefined yours truly.   Just this week alone, my co-workers at Carey Services have noticed that I have lost some weight (and I remember weighing in at BioLife in Muncie I had weighed 162 pounds) and even at my high school reunion, some people I hadn't seen even noticed that they remember I had a gut (even before my gender transition) and I am happy to say that I think the gut I had ten years ago will become breasts (if not already.) So obviously I have made a lot of changes since my high school graduation.   Could I bike from Marion to Hartford City, Marion to Huntington, Marion to Anderson, and Marion to Kokomo in the near future? It could happen. Could the bike trips to Muncie and Wabash a sign of what is to come for the Zinn family in the next few months? Stay tuned.

I even returned to the Van Buren suburb of Landess where I lived for 11 years.   I had arrived in Van Buren and bought a few key rings from the Do It Best Hardware store in Van Buren, where I had shoped at for many years (and they are still the friendly folks there) and the Lee's Market became converted to an apartment complex. The Star Financial Bank building that was across the street from Lee's Market and Circle K (I remember it as D&S Pantry) had been demolished.   Most importantly, the home where I gerw up at has been downsized.

Wed, 10 Aug 2011 09:29:54 -0700 Biking from Marion to Muncie... http://home.aeverine.info/biking-from-marion-to-muncie http://home.aeverine.info/biking-from-marion-to-muncie August 8, 2011 will go down in history as it is the very first time yours truly has ever biked to a destination outside of Grant County.

Yours truly biked nearly 75 miles round-trip from Marion to Muncie Monday. The trip to Muncie began approximately 7:00 AM and arrived in Muncie around 10:30 AM.

A little over a month after auditioning for season 11 of American Idol in Pittsburgh (and only having the funds for the Greyhound bus ticket), I went to Muncie, Indiana. Given the fact that I do not even have my first driver's license, and asking The New InterUrban in securing the ride from Marion to Muncie, and not getting an answer by 7:00 AM Monday, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I also did this on July 1 after raising the funds myself after a $500 grant fell through for the Pittsburgh trip..

If the people of Marion, Indiana, (let alone Grant County) didn't respond before I went to Muncie, they certainly did after I returned to Marion at approximately 11:35 PM. Facebook and Twitter lit up instantly with messages of amazement and disbelief.

Sun, 07 Aug 2011 20:58:49 -0700 Aeverine Zinn to potentially end origin association with Grant County and Marion, Indiana after 30 years http://home.aeverine.info/aeverine-zinn-to-potentially-end-origin-assoc http://home.aeverine.info/aeverine-zinn-to-potentially-end-origin-assoc
A fight is brewing between Aeverine Zinn, whom recently retired from NoSirGifts as President and CEO in May (and a Grant County, Indiana resident since November of 1983), a few employees of a local mental health institution, and those opposed to her future plans, whether those plans are in Marion, Indiana (or somewhere else). The issue dividing the 28 year old transwoman, whom recently auditioned in Pittsburgh for American Idol and made the Top 300 in the regional auditions in July, and Anti-Ava supporters is, of course, Zinn's image as a woman.

Zinn's successful audition for American Idol in Pittsburgh, the recent high school class reunion, showing (Timothy) Rags the door (causing him to move  from Marion to Muncie), reflect the evolving model for an aspiring singer-songwriter and former gift retail/media conglomerate executive, not a warning shot across the bow of recalcitrant individuals, says a trusted source of yours truly.

"It was not to send a message to a Grant Blackford Mental Health nor Grant County Rescue Mission. If Ava can't come to an agreement with someone, she has to look at something else. … She looked at where she could have a better opportunity and that's exactly what she am doing."

The 28 year old retired gift retail executive said in a Facebook post Sunday that she will be considering pulling her nearly 30-year association with Grant County, Indiana (with two years near Gas City, 11 in nearby Van Buren, and 16 in Marion) and taking it over to one of seven larger municipalities Louisville, Pittsburgh, Chicago (Zinn's birth place), Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Cincinnati, and Columbus (OH), all of which are mostly transgender friendly, in sharp contrast to Marion, Indiana.

"My take is Ava said she told you she was going to do this and now she's doing this: Either come to the table and negotiate with Ava or she's going to kick your arses."

While yours truly took exception to that characterization, I have to acknowledge that partnership relations [with Grant Blackford Mental Health] are strained.

"I would say it's a challenging time," a Grant Blackford Mental Health official said. "I've got Ms. Nieves trying to figure out ways to make things work in the future. We want to help her and her family [as well as her friends in Marion] figure that out. … Her goal is to hopefully 'Keep It Marion.'" Zinn added, "I like the growth of Marion right now. But I have to acknowledge the financial and civil rights realities that I am dealing with in Marion. I want to balance that out as soon as possible."

The strain between Zinn and Grant Blackford Mental Health came to light earlier this year as Zinn drew battle lines in October 2008 during the WISH-TV/Bright House Networks dispute that saw WANE-TV dropped from the Marion, IN cable system on October 3, 2008 with only WISH-TV and WNDY returning to the cable system on October 29, and dropping WPTA and WISE-TV in December 2008, and cost WFFT its Fox affiliation resulting in WFFT becoming an independent station on August 1, 2011..

According to sources, Zinn warned that she was attempting a divide-and-conquer strategy by negotiating agreements with officials and groups separately, effectively abandoning board-level talks.

Zinn, tacitly acknowledged that, saying that talks had been unsuccessful and that the 28 year old transwoman would instead negotiate with individuals and groups independently. If those talks failed to yield results, Zinn would have no choice to explore other means necessary for her future.

Zinn, the very first transgendered alumnus of Mississienwa High School and the first in Grant County to advance on American Idol, clearly is trying use her leverage to extract more revenue and successful opportunities. Zinn said in a letter she sent in May 2011 to her colleagues and former associates during her tenure at NoSirGifts that she realizes that "the proposal may not work for every individual " and "if that should be the case, I will simply pursue different distribution channels ... I really don't want that to sound like a threat, but it is a fact." Zinn has already been talking to other outlets in various markets in anticipation of having to find a new home for the 28 year old.

"I think Ava is saying it's her game, you're along for the ride," the source said. "[Zinn's best friend] Robyn Matthewson and Ava's family is going to take cues from Ava and Ava is not afraid to play hardball with anyone, not the Fox affiliates, not Marion, Indiana officials.

"What that says to me is that as someone who has known Ava for over 20 years, you have to take back as much of  your expectations as you can, plan accordingly and develop alternate revenue streams/expectations. You need to find ways to be less dependent on subordinates."

"Ava's been negotiating with Grant Blackford Mental Health and weren't able to come to terms on a deal," said Matthewson. "It was not a bidding situation."

Zinn has been pushing officials in Marion to be more transgender friendly, which has drawn the ire of GBMHI, and many residents of Marion, Indiana after Zinn declared single for the first time in 18 years and as a woman as a relationship status in April 2011.

Although Aeverine Zinn, yours truly, saw personal growth since April 2009, there had still been little progress made following high school graduation (besides an ongoing gender transition). Zinn first spoke with Columbus, Ohio in 2009 and then Indianapolis, Indiana in 2010 about the possibility of relocating to one of those cities. In 2011 she acknowledged publicly that she had received an "attractive offer" to move to Columbus. Then in 2011 said "I like Marion, IN and want to stay there, but when am I going to find out something about about future recovery and success? I'm getting offers from towns like Indianapolis, Fort Wayne to build me a new association and give me other inducements to move there. I don't want to but I'd like to see some action in Marion". Zinn cited her concerns with Grant Blackford Mental Health and the LGBT status of Marion, saying "Marion is not really transgender friendly, starting to become more like Muncie (with the Fort Wayne stations available over-the air) and inadequate opportunities for advancement. To be honest, I don't know if those problems will ever be solvable in Marion," Zinn began shopping her future around in earnest, talking first in 2002 to officials from Birmingham (Alabama), Louisville (Kentucky), and Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania), where she auditioned for Season 11 of American Idol at the latter on July 15,  2011 and made the Top 300 in the regional auditions with 5,000 cheering fans trying to convince Zinn that Pittsburgh would be the best home. Since 2005, Zinn has been playing hardball with GBMHI official Ann Leavitt and Grant County Rescue Mission in disputes. GBMHI challenged the requested improvements and recently refused to agree on a vacation (causing Zinn to raise the funds herself). Zinn also refused to use the men's public restroom while at the Grant County Rescue Mission in 2005 and uncomfortable using the women's, thus Zinn using the unisex restroom. As a result, 100 percent of the funds and improvements never came.

In August 2011, after relations between Zinn and the city of Marion, Indiana had deteriorated significantly (most notable was Fort Wayne's Fox affiliation moving from WFFT to WISE-DT2), GBMHI officials asked Zinn's family to reconsider Zinn's decision to leave Marion. The Zinn family legislature voted down the resolution in April 2011.

As of August 8, 2011, Aeverine Zinn is continuing discussions with several cities hungry for a new LGBT resident (Cincinnati, Columbus, Chicago, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Birmingham, Louisville and Pittsburgh) eventually narrowing the list of cities to four, Cincinnati, Chicago, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis. However, on July 20, 2011 a GBMHI official stated "We're worried sick about Aeverine and feel very guilty of Ms. Zinn's shortfall Zinn. We have held Aeverine back from advancement. Unless private donors help her, we won't help Ms. Zinn after March 2012."

"They [GBMHI] appear to have no regard for the value you bring to Zinn family, let alone the LGBT community .... She's prepared to destroy someone's business to make their point," wrote an anonymous source. "We know what Ava is going to try to do and I think she may turn the LGBT community upside down in Marion."

Zinn argued that she needs more opportunities to continue to provide media (such as music and video), and that without a new revenue/opportunity stream, her own future will be cloudy. "I cannot continue to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars with a flawed, out-of-date model," Zinn told in a letter.

Aeverine Zinn is taking a bit of a risk by being so aggressive. If she does leave Marion, which she very well may most likely, and move elsewhere and, at least initially at Carey Services, could be a shocking departure in Carey Services history .

Act now like I just did - send a letter to your members of Congress today, letting them know that policy currently being considered should include provisions to protect your access to local television.

Sat, 23 Jul 2011 12:22:29 -0700 Aeverine Zinn to release remake of "In The Air Tonight," audition for "X Factor" http://home.aeverine.info/aeverine-zinn-to-release-remake-of-in-the-air http://home.aeverine.info/aeverine-zinn-to-release-remake-of-in-the-air
In_the_air_tonight_-_ava

Aeverine Zinn announced Saturday that she will self-release her debut single. The single is a remake of Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight"

"Due to the overwhelming support from fans here in Marion and over in Pittsburgh when I made the Top 300 in the Pittsburgh auditions last Friday", commented Zinn. "I belive that releasing 'In The Air Tonight'  as my very first single without a record label is a good thing to convince producers that I may be the right person for the competition, whether it is for 'X Factor' or another show. I beleive that a self-releasing a single or an album without a record label is good for now.

Earlier this year, I announced that I was also releasing "As Long As We Keep It Marion" but while I was working on the song, I really ran into problems with the song and background music. One person says it was really bad. Anytime aI get a comment like that, I have to consider that as a negative comment subject to removal.

Opponents oor ANTI-Ava fans say, "I don't think Ava would make Idol or have any business in Pittsburgh."

However, while I was in Pittsburgh, I made some new fans and signed autographs while I was in Pittsburgh. Once I returned to Marion July 19, I realized something--"Pittsburgh really changed my life on July 15, 2011."

OTHER NEWS: Rags evicted from my home

Before I went to Pittsburgh, I have kicked Rags out of my home because he got kind of destructive and had a really bad arguement. He is either in the Marion Animal Care and Control or with his pet mother, Elisa. Rags' eviction from my home was one part of yours truly playing hardball with Grant Blackford Mental Health, and only raising enough funds for a round-trip bus ticket to Pittsburgh (and sadly no hotel room that met my needs).

Nowadays, it seems like all I ever do anymore is either play hardball, which began back in April 2001.

Disastrous. http://home.aeverine.info/day-1-ava-for-idol-rummage-and-bake-sale-disa http://home.aeverine.info/day-1-ava-for-idol-rummage-and-bake-sale-disa There was 10 gallons of lemonade, various rummage, but cookies, pies, and cakes nor even hot dogs were nowhere to be seen due to problems with my gas grill used to cook the hot dogs.   With a lack of team work due to the heat and humidity, even though many customers came by the rummage sale that was about to go a debacle and saw failure in my family's team work (for example, I said "why are you f***ing up" , I decided to shut the sale down an hour earlier.   I will be enclosing pictures of the items that were unsold but will be available tomorrow's sale. I even told a few people more rummage will be available tomorrow. There will be a recliner (pending a bedbug test) and an entertainment center.   Either many people in Marion were not taking the rummage sale very seriously. Only two junk bikes and junk bike wheels, two 64 ounce lemonades and two hotr dogs were sold today, all totalling to $6.00, and only $494.00 to go before July 8, 2011.   Nevertheless, I will be offering the following services at the rummage and bake sale throughout all weekend until July 8 (or when I reach $500--whichever comes first)   Donate $2.00 and I perform a song a capella (I have done that already and got an "average remark" in Downtown Marion one night) Donate $10.00 (girls 21 to 50), a dance of her choice (cannot be XXX) Since I declared single on April 30 of this year due to Jessica's Policy declared uncnstitutional, there is a "TOP SECRET AUCTION" (worst case scenario is will be a typical dating relationship with either a bi-female or non-op/pre-op transmale between the ages of 22 and 42.) The lucky person will be replacing Christy Johnson as my girlfriend (if she remains female) or become my very first boyfriend (for the transman beginning Monday, July 4). Please note that this will not make yours truly a bisexual transwoman at all.   Food and Drinks will be available (at least by yours truly and by those who donate food for the rummage and bake sale)
Lemonade (strongly encourage you to bring your own cups and no free refills)
12 ounce - 35 cents (15 cents 7:00 PM til empty)
  • 20 ounces - 50 cents (25 cents  7:00 PM til empty)

    Sat, 18 Jun 2011 15:00:00 -0700 Pittsburgh - Ava's Audition for American Idol July 15, 2011 http://home.aeverine.info/pittsburgh-avas-audition-for-american-idol-ju http://home.aeverine.info/pittsburgh-avas-audition-for-american-idol-ju

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is home to many winning sports teams. Will it be the home of the eleventh American Idol? Pittsburgh has a long tradition of jazz, blues, and bluegrass music, and it’s the birthplace of the first all African-American opera company in the United States. Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa’s current hit, “Black and Yellow,” is a tribute to his hometown’s colors. Welcome to “The City of Champions!”

    Auditions

Registration will occur July 13 and July 14. Auditions will occur July 15. Additional details TBD.

    Transportation

The City of Bridges has 446 bridges, 40 of which take you over the city’s rivers. If you’re flying to the Idol audition, Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is most likely where you’ll land. Port Authority (PAT) is Pittsburgh’s mass transit system, consisting of buses, trains, and light rail transportation, and for just $2.60 you can take the Port Authority bus to and from the airport. Pittsburgh is also serviced by Amtrak, so you can ride in from Chicago, Washington, DC, New York, and other big cities. Port Authority has a Free Fare Zone, which offers free bus and trolley services downtown. This zone is bound by the rivers, Ross Street, and 11th Street.

    Sightseeing

Walking around the hilly city will keep you fit on your trip to Pittsburgh. The best way to get a breathtaking view of the city is at the Duquesne Incline. Ride to the top of the incline in a cable car that is over one hundred years old, and it costs less than $5 round trip. Pittsburgh is known as Pop City because of the presence of pop art. Pop art fans won’t want to miss the Andy Warhol Museum. If sports are your thing, look into attending a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park or check out Heinz History Center’s Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum. Pittsburgh is shaped by three rivers. Get to see them up close and learn about the city’s history and highlights with the Gateway Clipper sightseeing cruise.

Here are some frequently asked questions I am sure that many have asked about the "Aeverine Zinn for American idol 2012"

I'm a friend or a family member of Ava's, can I join Ava?
Since I am auditioning, there is only room for ONLY ONE FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER with them into the interior of the Pittsburgh audition venue (Heinz Field). In order to be allowed in the audition venue, that friend or family member MUST come with yours truly on registration day in order to obtain their wristband and seat ticket. All others will not be allowed in the audition venue.

No children under the age of 5 years are allowed at the audition venues (you will need to make arrangements for children under age 5.)

What can I bring with me to the auditions?
The list below is not exhaustive and even if an item is listed below, the producers and security reserve the right to ask you to remove any such items from the venue. Any items you bring are your responsibility and all bags are subject to search:
