I test new skincare constantly. Dozens of products from high-end brands land on my desk every month for me to try and potentially feature. I still buy Oliveda with my own money every time I run out. Below, I’m breaking down every product I’ve tried, and further down, my real verdict on whether the whole line is worth it (including what I’d skip).

My Oliveda Skincare review

Oliveda is part of the Olive Tree People family, along with their hemp-focused LA Dope line. If you’re searching for Olive Tree People reviews, you’ll find some of that here too. It has a lot to do with the potency of the formulations — no water added means no dilution of active ingredients.

My 3-Year Oliveda Before & After

When I first posted these photos, people accused me of editing them. I hadn’t — three years later, I still haven’t, and the results have held.

The biggest change is my skin texture and fine lines, especially around my smile lines and eyes. That’s usually the slowest thing to shift in a skincare routine, and it’s kept improving well past the first few months.

The formulas are also just really hydrating. I noticed that within my first few uses back when I started, and three years in, my skin still holds onto moisture all day the same way.

What’s kept me buying with my own money for three years is the ingredient list. I’ll get into exactly what’s in these products below, but that’s the short version of why I’ve stuck with it this long.

The Best Oliveda Products

Oliveda has almost 90 products in its lineup, so deciding what to get can be overwhelming. And since the company is based in Europe, the names of its products are also a bit confusing. Their anti-aging line is called “corrective,” for example. When I first heard it, I thought the corrective line was for oily or breakout-prone skin.

To simplify things, I’m breaking down the best products in each category: cleansers, serums, moisturizers, and more — along with which ones work best for each skin type. I’ve also written a full guide to layering your Oliveda products if you want the order right. The great thing about Oliveda is that nothing is truly exclusive to one skin type — think of it as “good, better, best” regarding your goals. The most basic cleanser will still work for you if you have dry, mature skin, but you’ll benefit more from an anti-aging cleanser.

Okay, let’s break it down by product type so you can decide what to buy:

Oliveda Cleansers

Oliveda really encourages double-cleansing, which means washing your face with an oil to remove makeup and then following with a foaming, gel cleanser. If you only get one, get a gel cleanser.

009 Dope Your Glow Deep Cleanser – Sensitive, aging, normal skin – My Top Pick

Gentle yet thorough, this cleanser melts away dirt while calming skin. Hemp and hydroxytyrosol cleanse without stripping. I love it because it’s deep-cleansing yet soothing enough for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Corrective Cleansing Oil (F72) – Dry, aging skin

This is an oil-based cleanser made with olive fruit oil and lavender oil, so it’s nourishing and calming. Plus, it smells amazing.

If you’re looking for a true cleansing oil, I’d definitely choose this one. That said, I still use my Colleen Rothschild cleansing balm at night to take off my makeup. It’s a better fit for a gentle, hydrating cleanse than an oil. (I have a full Colleen Rothschild cleansing balm review if you want to dig deeper.)

Arbequina Cleansing Oil (F78) – Normal or combination Skin

This is an oil-based cleanser for normal or combination skin that’s meant to nourish and hydrate while removing impurities. But honestly, I didn’t love it; the formula didn’t glide over my skin the way I want an oil cleanser to, so it’s not one I’d repurchase.

Corrective Cleansing Gel (F71) – Dry, aging skin

This cleanser is great for mature, aging skin. It’s super gentle, really hydrating, and it has the best light, natural scent (not strong at all, which I love since I’m sensitive to fragrance). I really like this one, but if I had to pick a favorite, I still love the LA Dope Cleanser best because it’s the most gentle and moisturizing.

Purifying Cleansing Gel (F38) – Normal or combination skin

I haven’t personally tried this one since it’s not really ideal for my skin type, but I also haven’t heard anything negative about it. It’s a foaming cleanser for normal or combination skin that gives a deeper cleanse while still delivering concentrated antioxidants to help prevent signs of aging. If you have oily or breakout-prone skin though, I’d personally recommend the Colleen Rothschild Gentle & Clear line instead.

Oliveda Toners

Oliveda calls their toners “Tonics” so when you see that, know that it’s the second step in your routine.

Corrective Facial Tonic (F67) – Dry, aging skin – My Top Pick

If you’re looking for a hydrating toner, this is the one. You use it right after cleansing to prep your skin for whatever serum/elixir you’re using next, and I use it daily because it seriously helps my skin hold onto moisture all day. I legit LOVE it. And for context, I was sent the $230 Vintner’s Daughter essence and I still prefer this. It’s more hydrating, and it smells a lot better.

Activating Facial Toner (F11) – Normal, combination skin

This one is meant to be non-drying and non-stripping. It’s more of a balancing product that helps restore your skin’s natural balance. I haven’t personally tried it though.

Oliveda Serums

Corrective Serum Face (F59) – Dry, aging skin – My TOP pick

Oliveda F59 is what people call “Botox in a Bottle”, and it’s my favorite Oliveda product. It’s made with concentrated hydroxytyrosol (the super powerful antioxidant we discussed above) combined with para cress extract, an ingredient that lifts and smooths your skin. It also builds collagen.

I’ve had botox, and I wouldn’t go as far as to say Oliveda’s Botox in a Bottle is just like it. HOWEVER, I do think it’s wildly effective for fine lines. You can see before and after photos in my Oliveda F59 review.

Cell Active Serum (F06) – Normal, combination skin

This serum helps smooth your skin and reduce pore size, but it mainly reduces dark spots and smoothes wrinkles. It’s an all around great serum for all skin types. While anyone can use the F59 Corrective Face Serum (aka Botox in a Bottle), you may not really need the anti-aging benefits yet, so this would be a great option. It’s similar but not as concentrated as F59, making it more affordable.

Oliveda Elixirs

Oliveda calls its retinol products Elixirs. They are similar to serums in terms of benefits, but they’re made to be mixed with serums. When used together, you will get better results than applying just one or the other or when layering them vs. mixing.

For mature or aging skin, these are your best options:

Corrective Midnight Elixir (F65) – Fish derived retinol

If you’ve already used retinol in the past and love the effects, then you will love this. It’s a natural form of retinol that’s derived from fish. Since it is an animal-based form of vitamin A, it is metabolized into retinol.

It can only be used at night, and it’s Oliveda’s strongest retinol option. I bought this for one month and didn’t dislike it but I definitely didn’t like it as much as the Kahai Elixir, which is nourishing, smells amazing and makes my skin look and feel great.

Corrective Kahai Elixir (F87) – Nut-derived retinol (My Top Pick)

I absolutely love this product. It’s so hydrating and feels like the most luxurious product in their line-up. It’s never drying, smells great, and improves skin’s appearance without any peeling, which is more common with traditional retinols.

Green Retinol Face Elixir (F82) – Bakuchiol, a retinol alternative

This is Oliveda’s most gentle “retinol” option, and I think of it more as a retinol alternative. It’s a blend of bakuchiol (retinol alternative) + kahai oil (a natural source of vitamin A).

It’s meant to help with fine lines, pores, complexion, and pigmentation. It does have a very unique scent (kind of olive-oil-ish, which makes sense). However, I don’t recommend this one; I’ve seen it make a lot of people break out, so I’d skip it unless you know your skin does well with these ingredients.

Oliveda Moisturizers

Corrective Face Cream (F42) – AM for mature, aging skin

This day cream is marketed for dry/aging skin because it has extra hydroxytyrosol (a really powerful antioxidant), and it’s supposed to be soothing, help with elasticity, and reduce fine lines. It even contains a sun protection factor, and a little goes a long way. That said, I personally didn’t find it hydrating enough for my dry skin, so I’d say it’s probably a better fit for normal skin types.

Anti Oxidant Face Cream (F05) – AM for normal or combination skin

This is a great everyday moisturizer for younger or normal skin types. I haven’t personally tried it since it’s not the best match for my skin type, but it looks like a solid option if you’re not super dry.

Regeneration Intense Face Cream (F74) – Night cream for all skin types

The texture is weird and it takes some getting used to how it’s applied and massaged in, but now I love it. For details, read my Oliveda F74 review. This is one of Oliveda’s more hydrating moisturizers. It reduces redness and helps balance the skin. Just use a very small amount of this – a little goes a long way. I’ve tried UBeauty’s Super Hydrator and Irene Forte’s Hibiscus Night Cream, both of which cost way more, and still prefer F74.

Oliveda Eye Cream

Oliveda F60 Corrective Eye Cream – Mature, aging skin

I bought this once and still went back to my favorite eye cream, the OneSkin Topical Eye Supplement. I didn’t dislike the F60 but it didn’t wow me in hydration, texture or results. This eye cream is designed to help boost your collagen and decrease under-eye shadows.

Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream (F09) – Normal or combination skin

This is a basic eye cream. I liked the texture and it’s completely non-irritating so it’s a good option for younger skin. It tightens and reduces fine lines around your eye area.

Oliveda F64 Corrective Eye Elixir – All skin types

Now this is a must-have in my eye area routine. It’s the Botox in a Bottle answer for your eyes. It has a triple-hyaluronic acid structure and a ton of antioxidants, so it hydrates and plumps while giving your eyes a more lifted, radiant look. You can apply this underneath your eye cream or use it alone. (I prefer to layer an eye cream on top for a little extra moisture.)

Add-on products for all skin types

Corrective Vegan Hyaluronic Acid Serum (F86)

I’m not too picky with hyaluronic acid serums since I feel like they’re all about the same once you get into the luxury skincare category, so I liked this one just as much as others I’ve used.

Hyaluronic serums are great for dry and aging skin because they deeply hydrate and plump the skin. This one also helps repair oxidative damage and supports elasticity, so skin looks smoother and feels more firm. I love layering it under my other serums when I need extra hydration.

Acne SOS Face Drops (F85)

These drops unclog pores, balance sebum production, and reduce acne-causing bacteria. They contain salicylic acid, which is ideal for fighting and preventing acne. I have heard great things about this, but haven’t personally tried it because I don’t have major problems with acne.

AHA + HT Serum Face (F81)

Use chemical exfoliator 1-2 times per week at night. It’s a true hero product. It fades scarring and hyperpigmentation. My skin also looks firmer since I started using it. It’s great for breakout-prone skin because it gently exfoliates and sloughs off dead skin, which can cause build-up and breakouts. If you used Beautycounter, this is very similar to the Overnight Resurfacing Peel – but I think it’s better since it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry and tight the next morning.

HT + Vitamin C Serum (F83)

Oliveda’s Vitamin C serum is made with hydroxytyrosol, a superpowerful antioxidant, and it also contains camu camu. Because of the hydroxytyrosol, this has 1300% more power than vitamin C alone. It’s noticeably softened my fine lines, and my skin looks brighter overall. It also has carrot extract in it, which makes it red, which is fun. My favorite vitamin C serum is Nature Biss, but this one is a fraction of the price, so it’s a much more affordable option to my pricey favorite. Honey Enzyme Face Mask (F76)

This face mask removes dead skin cells so that the rest of your skincare products can absorb better. This is especially beneficial for dry and/or aging skin since you’re paying more for those types of products and you want to get the most out of them. (The women who give me my facials have been telling me for years that I need to use an enzyme mask regularly to see improvements in my fine lines and deeper wrinkles).

I also love that it has a warming sensation. I usually hate applying masks because they take a long time and are messy, but I actually look forward to using them since I enjoy the sensory experience. And it’s bright green, which always makes me feel like I’m doing something. My skin feels incredibly soft and smooth after I use it too.

Olive Core Face Peeling (F10)

This is a physical face exfoliator. It’s a superfine facial scrub that helps remove dead skin cells and gives you a fresh, glowy complexion. It’s fine and definitely does the job, but I still prefer the Dual Enzyme Polish from Colleen Rothschild. However, Olive Core does use cleaner ingredients, so if that’s your top priority, know that this does work well. Olive Tree Therapy Lip Balm (F75)

This is the best daytime lip balm I’ve ever used. It’s super hydrating like any lip balm should be, but it also makes my lips look full, almost like I’ve had lip filler (I haven’t). I love it so much I wrote a full Oliveda Lip Balm review. I’ve also noticed that the redness around the outside of my lips improves when I apply this. If you want an overnight mask, go for the One Skin peptide lip mask. It noticeably plumps my lips and softens fine lines by morning.

Is Oliveda Worth It? (And What I’d Skip)

Yes. Three years in, and I really do use my own money on my favorite products when I run out. But it’s not a perfect line, and I’d rather tell you what’s not worth it in my opinion vs. pretend everything is.

The eye cream didn’t make the cut for me. I bought it once, moved onto another eye cream and never repurchased. However, to be fair, I am inherently picky when it comes to eye creams. My eyes are super sensitive and it’s hard for me to find something I love in this category in general.

Cleansing oils are the other skip for me. I’ve tried a couple, and I just keep finding my way back to my usual Colleen Rothschild balm. I just can’t quit it. The Oliveda oil formulas just don’t glide the way I want them to.

The packaging can also be a pain. Some bottles are tricky to open. Not a dealbreaker, but I have answered more than one email from a customer who can’t open a product. No one wants to be wrestling with a cap in their bathroom only to have half of it spill by the time you get it open.

What About the Ingredients and Fragrance?

The ingredient-skeptic sites will tell you hydroxytyrosol is nothing special and that it’s just an antioxidant, nothing revolutionary. This has not been my experience. It’s the one ingredient that ties every product together, and it’s the reason the formulas feel so concentrated without needing a bunch of other active ingredients layered on top. The Oliveda F59 review has more on exactly how it shows up in my results.

On fragrance: I’m sensitive to it, and I still use Oliveda daily with zero issues. Most of their products have a light, natural scent instead of a heavy perfume smell. In the US, though, “fragrance” on a label is a loophole. Brands can hide almost anything behind it, including endocrine disruptors and allergens.

The EU doesn’t work that way. Every ingredient has to be tested for safety first, fragrance included, even though it still doesn’t get listed by name on the label. Oliveda uses the word “fragrance” too, but because of that EU testing requirement, it’s not the same red flag it is on a US ingredient list.

I tested more than a dozen Crunchi skincare products over several months, and I found a pattern with the products that I didn’t expect going in. Some of the products are genuinely great. Some of them are not so great.

Is Crunchi Skincare Worth It? (My Bottom Line)

Crunchi is worth it if clean and third-party tested matter the very most to you. The basic products like the charcoal bar, the facial mist, and the daytime creams all work well. I found the serums and the more expensive products in the line delivered the least, so unless price isn’t a factor for you, I’d skip those and put your money toward the basics instead.

How I Tested Crunchi

I bought every product in this review myself. None of it was gifted or sponsored so I have zero pressure to say anything specific about any single product. I worked through more than twelve products of the line over several months, using each one the way I’d use it at home during my normal routine.

Some of them I liked so much they became part of my regular routine within the first week. Others sat in a drawer. I go through each product I tested below and give you the good, the bad and all the in between.

Crunchi Skincare I Love

Crunchi Sunlight Tinted SPF 30 ($52)

I love this product so much it earned the #1 spot in my best tinted moisturizers review. It’s my favorite formula because it gives me more coverage than any other tinted moisturizer I’ve tried. I like that it’s also super hydrating and doesn’t dry me out. It has a really pretty natural finish that never feels greasy. If you like to use a tinted moisturizer over a lightweight foundation, or even just for quick coverage during the summer, don’t skip this. I think this might be my favorite Crunchi product.

Crunchi Age-Defying Body Treatment ($58)

I actually didn’t buy this body cream to help with cellulite initially – but WOAH, it has after just one week. I bought it to help with some redness on the back of my arms that never goes away, but I’m SHOOK at how it’s improved the appearance of my thighs.

Crunchi Charcoal Facial Bar Review ($26)

This is probably my second favorite product in the whole line. Most charcoal bars leave my skin tight and stripped, but this one doesn’t. It cleans without that squeaky, dried-out feeling I usually brace for. I use it on my underarms too, to detox a little before my non-toxic deodorant goes on, and it ends up in my cart every time I reorder. For $26, this is the easiest yes in the whole line.

Crunchi 4-in-1 Facial Mist Review ($38)

This is the only facial mist that has ever felt hydrating to me, rather than feeling like cold water in a fancy bottle. I have it on my desk, and I use it more times a day than I’d like to admit. The spray pattern is the one thing that bugs me. It doesn’t spritz super evenly, so I end up shaking and pumping more than I should. Still, for $38, this one is a keeper.

Crunchi Skincare That’s Good—With Caveats

Crunchi Adaptogen Facial Cream ($48)

The Adaptogen cream is hydrating and feels nice going on — no complaints on performance. My hesitation is the packaging. It feels cheap next to the other clean brands I use. I’ll get into that more below when I speak to the packaging as a whole; obviously, sub-par packaging is not a make-or-break for a facial cream, but if I’m paying $48 for a cream, I want the product as a whole to feel worth it.

Crunchi Daylight Facial Cream Review ($54)

Daylight is Crunchi’s basic daytime moisturizer. It’s hydrating, feels good going on, and is not too thick or too light. The packaging on the Daylight feels better than the Adaptogen but still somewhat generic.

Where I differ from a lot of the other Crunchi reviews out there is the Advanced version. Everyone else seems to love it. I like the standard Daylight just fine but skipped the pricier upgrade to the Advanced, which I’ll get into further down.

Crunchi Sunlight Facial SPF 30 ($48)

I like this one, but it’s heavier than I want an everyday SPF to feel. It also left a slight white cast on me, which I don’t like. That said, I like knowing I’m putting a clean-ingredient sunscreen on my face vs. one loaded with chemicals.

Crunchi I AM Polished Facial Exfoliator ($60)

This is one of the more abrasive exfoliators I’ve tried, which is a plus if you want a real, gritty scrub instead of a light buff. The performance is solid – my skin feels baby-soft after I use it. The color and texture, though, are a little depressing to look at and use. It’s almost like wet sand.

Crunchi Skincare I’d Skip (Didn’t Live Up to the Price)

Crunchi Goldenlight Multi-Peptide Serum Review ($98)

At $98, Goldenlight is the most expensive product in the entire Crunchi line, and it’s also the one that let me down the most. The texture is watery, and I didn’t love the smell either.

A lot of sites are calling this one “Botox in a bottle,” and I disagree. If you want the real “Botox in a Bottle” I use, it’s one of my all-time favorite products from Oliveda. You can read my full breakdown of everything I love from the Oliveda line.

Crunchi I AM Bright Vitamin C Serum ($98)

This texture is watery too, just like Goldenlight, and it didn’t do much for hydration. For $98, I expected more than a serum that felt like it evaporated on my skin.

Crunchi Daylight Advanced Facial Cream ($76)

This is the pricier upgrade to the standard Daylight cream I like, and to me, it’s not worth the price jump. I think it has more active ingredients to justify the price jump, but the hydration and texture both underwhelmed me compared to the original, so my money felt better spent staying put with the regular version.

Crunchi Nightlight Facial Cream ($60)

Nightlight’s hydration and texture both fell flat; it’s not worth the price, in my opinion. My favorite night creams are far superior.

Crunchi Gentle Facial Cleanser ($38)

The texture and smell are clinical, almost like something you’d use in a hospital. Although, it did leave my skin clean without stripping it, so the performance itself wasn’t terrible, but the smell ruined the whole thing.

Crunchi Cleansing Balm ($58)

This one didn’t make my list of favorite cleansing balms. The texture is stiffer than I like, and the yellow color stained a couple of my washcloths.

This was one of the first products I tried, and clearly it didn’t leave an impression since the only way I knew I tried it was when I double-checked my order history when drafting this post. If you like face oils, I’d point you toward the Oliveda Jasmine Face Oil or the True Botanicals Renew Pure Radiance Oil.

A Note on Crunchi’s Packaging and Price

Almost every product above shares the same weak spot: the packaging. Crunchi’s bottles and jars feel more like a grassroots startup than an established, bougie clean beauty brand. I mentioned above that it’s a notch below even DIME. It just feels like a disconnect when you’re paying $70-$90 per product.

Premium clean packaging does exist. True Botanicals is a good example of what this looks like with a weight and finish that match the price tag.

Oliveda is another brand I’d point you toward if packaging and experience matter to you as much as the ingredient list. My Oliveda review covers all my favorite products from daily creams to serums. Crunchi earns its reputation on the testing and ingredient side, but falls flat when it comes to looking and feeling high-end.

How Crunchi Skincare Compares to Other Clean Brands

Crunchi isn’t the only clean skincare brand I’ve tested, and it isn’t my top pick either. If you want the full list, I’ve rounded up other clean skincare brands I rate higher on performance and feel.

If dry skin is your main concern, True Botanicals and Oliveda are the two I like best, though Crunchi’s cheaper basics aren’t a bad starting point if budget is the priority.

The Bottom Line: Who Crunchi Skincare Is (and Isn’t) For

Crunchi is for the person who wants a squeaky clean skincare line that is EWG certified. If that’s you, start with the basics that worked for me and skip straight past the expensive serums.

If performance and feel matter just as much to you as the ingredient list, this probably won’t be your top brand.

How I Shop The Kids Sale

My favorite things to shop for during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for little boys are sneakers, coats, sweaters, and fall tops. Sneakers and coats are definitely the real winners, since those are expensive to buy and quality really matters when you’re keeping things for years, and your kids are really hard on clothes. I also really like some of the brands that are always included, like New Balance, Tucker + Tate, and Petit Lem, if they’re on the younger side. This year, Primary is included, which is great for basics like joggers and tees. You also won’t find Converse or Crocs on my list; they’re in the sale, but they don’t get worn at our house.

I typically buy a size larger than the boys’ usuals when I’m shopping the Nordstrom Sale since they won’t wear most of these items for a few months and there are a few things (like coats, sweatshirts and drawstring pants) that really don’t matter if they’re a big big. That way, I get the most life out of them as possible before hte boys outgrow them. Thankfully, I have two boys so Charles always gets Thomas’ things that are in decent shape — and all the brands I’ve bought previously during the Nordstrom Sale have held up well.

Sneakers

I’m including multiple sneakers here since it really depends on the style that you like, but all of these are high-quality brands that will survive even the most feral children. Most of them come in a colorway that works well for boys or girls.

New Balance Kids’ 574 Sneaker

I’ve bought three pairs of these over the years since I’ve found that New Balance works best for our family, both in terms of the style I like, how well they hold up, and how easy it is for the boys to get them on and off themselves. I’m buying two pairs, one for each boy.

New Balance Kids’ 9060 Sneaker

If you don’t want velcro, these chunky lace-up options are cute. I’ve found that New Balance laces don’t come undone as much as other brands, so whatever they use works well (which matters with kids still learning the skill).

New Balance Kids’ 327 Sneaker

I’ve bought these for the boys 2 times before. This color option is much better since the gray placement will hide the spots where they get dirtiest. Brilliant design. (I ordered this.)

On Kids’ Cloudleap Sneaker

I’m so tempted to get these for my 5-year-old because he always wants “fast shoes,” and I hate how most kids’ Nike shoes look. (I know, I know – unpopular opinion.)

See Kai Run Kids’ Connor Sneaker

For a sneaker that’s a little less athletic, these are cute. I’m getting these for my 2.5 year old.

TOMS Kids’ Oliver Penny Loafer

I am not a fan of TOMS for myself, but I really like them for the boys. We have these for Thomas, and they’re super cute and durable.

Johnston & Murphy McGuffey Chukka Boot

These Johnston & Murphy Chukka boots are absolutely adorable. He doesn’t have dress shoes, which I never remember until we’re getting him ready for an event at school or church. These seem much more practical than loafers — although I do love a little boy in loafers.

Sorel Kids’ Whitney III Insulated Snow Boot

Thomas outgrows snow boots like crazy, and while I don’t particularly relish spending this much on them, I’m going to buy them for my five-year-old, knowing my two-year-old will be able to use them eventually as well.

Shirts & Sweaters

Polo Ralph Lauren Stripe Poplin Button-Down (Nordstrom Exclusive)

Both boys need just one good button-down in their closet and both of them have outgrown the ones they have, so I’m snagging this Polo while it’s on sale.

Nordstrom Kids’ Hooded Henley Sweater

There’s something about a little boy in a hoodie. My 2.5 year old particularly loves them. The henley front makes it a little nicer than his standard sweatshirts.

Nordstrom Relaxed Fit Crewneck Sweater

Similar to the polo, they need just one nice crewneck sweater, and I always get it in navy. Charles is getting Thomas’ hand me down from last year, and Thomas will get a new one of these.

Deux Par Deux Colorblock Sporty Jersey Top & Deux Par Deux Colorblock Crew Jersey Top

If you don’t go the dinosaur or truck route, it’s hard to find something unique in little boys’ clothes that’s not solid or stripes. These color block options are cute but not obnoxious.

Miles The Label Stretch Organic Cotton Sweatshirt

Miles The Label is another one of my favorite brands for little boys.

Tucker + Tate Kids’ Waffle Stitch Top

I’ve bought Tucker & Tate tops every year during the sale since I started having kids. They’ve held their shape, they don’t pill, they don’t fade, and remarkably, stains come out easily. I’m buying one for each of the boys.

H&M 3-Pack Brushed-Inside Sweatshirts

I’ve never bought H&M for my boys, and I definitely wouldn’t buy it for myself, but these are a steal on basics, so we’re going to see how they hold up.

Save The Duck Dony Hooded Puffer

I have an older version of this Save The Duck coat, and it is incredibly warm. Since we spend so much time in the mountains, where it gets extremely cold, it’s time to invest in a good coat for both boys. Both boys have outgrown theirs, so I’m buying one for each of them. Once they outgrow them, I know I’ll be able to consign.

This Mini Boden is just kind of a fun purchase — it’s definitely not the vibe of my older one, but my little one will love it.

I love a reversible puffer, and Primary’s prices are great. Both boys also need a midweight jacket so I’m buying one for each (in the same color to avoid fighting). Moms get it. (I ordered this.)

Miles The Label Hooded Windbreaker

I bought this windbreaker jacket for my oldest four years ago, and it was his favorite jacket for years. When Charles was old enough to know what was going on, the boys fought over it. Now both of them have outgrown it, so I need to replace it. I’m smart enough to know that I need to buy two that are exactly the same.

Miles The Label Hooded Raincoat

If you want a true rain jacket, get this instead. The wind breaker resists water, but definitely doesn’t keep them fully dry.

Tucker + Tate Townsend Rib Waist Jeans

Elastic waist is always a winner. I’m going to size up in these for each of the boys since I can tighten the waist and roll the cuff.

H&M Cotton Denim Pants

These are definitely my 5-year-old’s vibe. And he has put holes in all his jeans so I’m replacing his light wash pair with these.

Tucker + Tate Drawstring Cotton Blend Joggers

I kind of want these for myself – they look so cozy and I like the deeper, muted blue. I sized up in these for the boys since they have a tie waist and can be bunched up, which means they’ll last us longer. (I ordered this.)

Primary Stretch Chino Drawstring Pant

Most boys chinos are khaki or navy so I love the olive green option!

Primary Kids Staycool Stretch Gym Short

My 5-year-old does a weekly ninja class, which has caused him to really love gym shorts (but only has one pair). I’m buying these since they don’t overly look like gym shorts. (I ordered this.)

Polo Ralph Lauren Prepster Twill Shorts

My boys twill shorts from GAP have no stretch in the waist and I’m uncomfortable when I put them on them. These look much better.

My 2-year-old lives in sweats when it’s a bit colder because it’s just so cute, especially when it matches! I’m grabbing this for him.

Pajamas

Petit Lem Pajamas

Petit Lem makes super cute PJs that fit well. I make an exception for trucks and dinosaurs for this brand because they’re sweet, but I’m really hoping the golf cart option comes back in stock since we’re a major golfing family.

What Will Sell Out First?

I’m sharing my top picks by category — and you’ll notice I’m heaviest on lightweight jackets and rain coats. In the South, jackets for transitional weather and rain jackets are easily worn the most, while a heavy coat sits in the closet waiting for the 2-3 truly cold weeks we get.

If you’re not sure what you need, do what I do each fall: take note of which outfits you struggle to pair with a coat or jacket, then shop for that gap — and make sure the basics are covered.

Rain Coats

Lauren Ralph Lauren Waxed Raincoat w/ Corduroy Trim

This is my top pick of the entire coat selection and probably the entire sale. Everything about it is perfect for a timeless wardrobe – the dark olive green, the corduroy collar, the functionality. And, it’s under $200. I’m ordering the XS and Small and will return whichever doesn’t fit. (I ordered this.)

Barbour Arla Waterproof Hooded Jacket

Barbour can do no wrong in my book. Everything they make is gorgeous. I especially love the plaid detailing on this one and the metal snaps and hooks. I find Barbour runs small so I plan to order the small, rather than my usual XS.

The North Face Antora Rain Hoodie

I head to the gym after school (or camp) dropoff and always throw a layer on. Most athleisure jackets are too heavy / not breathable enough for the humid South but this looks perfect. Plus, it can double for a golf jacket in the fall.

Trench Coats

A classic trench coat works with everything – jeans, a dress, leggings and a tee. And in the South, trench weather is most of our winter anyway.

I’ve owned this trench for nearly 15 years. If you don’t have a trench coat, prioritize this purchase. Size up if you’re on the fence.

Lauren Ralph Lauren Houndstooth Quilted Barn Jacket

This has poor reviews, but I’m going to order it and test it anyway since I don’t have a quilted coat I love. I like that this looks warm but doesn’t create extra bulk. I’m sizing up to a small in this.

Lauren Ralph Lauren Hooded Cotton-Blend Coat

Another Ralph Lauren beauty. The leather detailing near the cuffs makes me absolutely swoon. This is my #2 pick from all the coats. I’m ordering an XS and Small. I’ll report back. (I ordered this.)

Bernardo Cotton Stretch Twill Jacket

I was gifted this by the brand and I love it. I bought a similar version during the sale last year — that cost about 3x as much – so if you like the look but prefer a budget-friendly option, Bernardo is a great option. Size down if you’re between sizes. (I ordered this.)

Suede Coats

Levi’s Relaxed Fit Faux Suede Dad Bomber

Suede is having a moment this fall and I much prefer it over the leather bomber jacket trend that’s back. I like the dark color of this and the relaxed feel since most of my day-to-day style is casual. I’m ordering a small since oversized will be better in this style. It’s under $100 during the sale, which definitely makes it a sell-out risk. (I ordered this.)

Sam Edelman Faux Suede Jacket

Now this is a gorgeous option that I’m not sure I can justify, but I’m buying it anyway. It definitely leans dressier with the collar and minimal detailing and cinched waist. It will become the hero of any simple outfit (jeans + tee). I’m ordering an XS.

Puffer Coats

There aren’t a lot of great puffer options in the sale this year, but these are two standouts. The first one leans more casual and the second is a chicer option, so just get the one that feels like it’ll work best with your wardrobe and life.

Sam Edelman Diamond Quilted Puffer w/ Faux Fur Hood

This coat would be lackluster without the faux-fur hood. Since I don’t have a short puffer that fits me well (having kids changed my body shape), I’m ordering this to see how I like it. It might be too shiny but I’ll have to see it in person to decide. I’m ordering a small so I can layer over sweaters.

Avec Les Filles Tie-Waist Puffer Coat

I own a similar tie-waist coat from this brand (a leather, fur-trimmed beauty) and it fits perfectly. The tie waist is a thin leather cord (an Avec Les Filles signature style), which makes this feel unique compared to other belted coats.

Dressy & Statement Coats

When you don’t know what to wear to a holiday party without ruining your outfit, these are the answer.

Lauren Ralph Lauren Wool Blend Cape

I don’t need a cape… or DO I? This is so fun, gorgeous and very niche. But if you attend holiday parties or anything dressy in the winter and never know what to wear over your outfit, now you do. I’ve always worn a cropped feather jacket for my holiday jacket, but I’m getting this option too and praying it doesn’t drown my 5’1″ frame. I’m ordering an XS.

Lamarque ANCA Wool Scarf Jacket

If you didn’t get a scarf coat last year, here’s your sign. They’re fun, practical, and mine got more compliments than almost anything I wore last year. Plus, if you constantly feel frazzled with all the plates you’re balancing with work and motherhood, the scarf is one less thing to keep track of since it’s attached. This one is an investment, but the style is one you’ll wear for years.

Lamarque Linnea Faux Fur Coat

I’m a sucker for a fur coat. While this comes in two other colors, the chocolate brown is by far the prettiest option. I’m picturing this with skirts, jeans and maybe just around the house to make my family treat me like royalty. (I ordered this.)

Honorable Mention: Leather Coats

AllSaints Sofi Leather Bomber

Leather is having a moment, but I’m not here for it. If you are, this is the best one of the sale that won’t make you look like you stepped out of a bar in 2012.

What I Predict Will Sell Out

After 15+ years of watching this sale, the coats that go first are almost always the cropped, mid-weight styles under $200 — versatile enough to reach for all season. Here’s what I think will disappear fast this year:

My Top Two Nordstrom Beauty Picks

Dermaflash Dermaplaning & Peach Fuzz Removal Set

I’m incapable of using the simple facial razors that influencers swear by without bleeding, but this is the one that got me hooked on dermaplaning. I swear it’s impossible to cut yourself with it. And I can’t stop touching my skin after. So soft and smooth — and my makeup looks great afterward. I use it once a week.

T3 Blow Dryer Brush

If you already have a high-quality blow dryer, the next tool I’d add to the mix is the T3 Blow Dryer Brush. I use this for a great at-home blowout (it’s what I styled my hair with in this picture), and you can use it to refresh day 2-3 hair.

T3 Curling Iron

I’ve had mine for eight years and you’ve heard me rave about it for 8 years. I used to replace my curling iron every couple of years, but this one is still going strong.

If you struggle to curl your hair, it’s time to upgrade your curling iron to one with a better clamp like this. The heat distributes evenly, which helps curls hold and avoid hot spots that damage your hair.

I use the 1.25″ barrel, no matter how long or short my hair is. I have a whole post on how to curl your hair so you can use it the day you get it.

T3 Hair Dryer

After years with a Dyson, I switched to the T3 Hair Dryer and was shocked at how much I preferred it. It’s lighter, just as fast, and gives me more control over the finish. It’s also the more affordable option between the two, which makes the sale price even better.

T3 Aire 360 Air Styler Blowout Kit

I had the Dyson Airwrap and liked it enough, but this is in a different league. It’s easier to use, doesn’t have an annoying block on the cord, and the round brush attachment shape is so much better. It’s great for big, bouncy curls, but I’m still trying to find the secret recipe for getting those curls to last. (My curling iron curls last for days!)

T3 Travel Hair Dryer

I’m a hair dryer snob – surprise surprise – and I always take this with me, even if I know the hotel or Airbnb has a hair dryer. It dries my hair so fast and it’s super light weight. If you travel a lot, it’s worth it.

Clean(er) Brands I Trust

OSEA Undaria Algae Body Butter Duo

I named this one of the best body butters years ago, and I still love it! I just used the last bit of mine, so I’m buying this duo for sure. It’s hydrating but not greasy (which so many body butters are prone to).

OSEA Exfoliate & Glow Body Trio

I don’t love body oils but I LOVE the scrub that’s included in this, so I’m buying it and putting the oils in a bin that I keep for gifts throughout the year. Splitting up a beauty set for myself + a gift is one of my favorite ways to save money, and I can get my loved ones something bougie without spending too much money.

Salt & Stone Santal & Vetiver Deodorant Duo

One of my favorite non-toxic deodorants. Literally any scent they sell is great. You can’t go wrong.

Salt & Stone Bergamot & Hinoki Body Wash Duo

I oddly get a lot of body wash sent to me to try and Salt & Stone is far and away my favorite. My husband loves it too. It smells nice but isn’t overpowering and leaves skin hydrating. I have sensitive skin and I’m sensitive to scents, and this works well for me.

Salt & Stone Mini Body Mist Discovery Set

Cute back to school gift for teachers! Again, break it up and pair it with a coffee gift card. I’m more of a perfume girl, but I have smelled all of these and they’re great.

Rahua The Hydration Bundle

Rahua has a cult following, since it’s one of the few truly non-toxic hair care brands out there. I found it a bit heavy for my hair, but if clean is most important to you, grab this.

Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush & Highlight Duo

I’ve used these off and on for years and recently named Baby Cheeks one of the best cream blushes. These glide on and blend absolutely effortlessly, and I love the magnetic packaging.

Value Sets Worth the Math

Natura Bissé C+C Vitamin Set (Nordstrom Exclusive)

I love this vitamin C serum so much but rarely buy it since it’s so pricey, so you can guarantee I’m buying the discounted set during the sale.

Natura Bissé Diamond Cocoon Skin Care Set

Natura Bissé is one of my top foundations for mature skin, and the eye cream was a top pick in the tinted eye cream round-up too. Getting both for under $250 is a steal. They last forever too.

U Beauty The RETURN Eye Concentrate Duo

I have an eye cream I love, but I’ve seen people rave about this (and I already know that I love other U Beauty products), so I’m going to buy this set. One for me, one for a gift!

U Beauty The Precision Edit Skin Care Set

I’ve first tried U Beauty last year and quickly fell in love with the arm sculpt and resurfacing compounds. This is a great way to try three of their most popular products at a discount.

Hourglass Essentials Makeup Brush Set

I have two of these brushes and they’re perfect for blending foundation and concealer. The double ended one looks perfect for powder blushes.

BK Beauty Essentials Face Brush Set

If you don’t have nice makeup brushes – or you haven’t washed them in the 10 years you’ve owned them -now is the time to buy these. I have this set and absolutely love it. It blends powder makeup better than the other brands I have mixed into my collection.

Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil

I’m a recent Olaplex convert and now I understand the hype. I use this hair oil every single day and my hair finally has shine back.

Not the cleanest, but they sent them to me so I tested them, and wow, I love them. These are all so pretty and natural! If you struggle with applying makeup, these are great options since they feel impossible to mess up.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Spray Duo

I don’t wear setting spray often (mostly just for family photos), but when I do it’s this one. I know some people use it daily, but I’m just a bit lazy. And that also explains why my makeup doesn’t always last.

YSL Brown Look 3-Piece Eye Set

I have this eye shadow palette and absolutely love it. The colors are so pretty and the pigment is just enough to show up but not impossible to blend. I can’t wear any mascara other than tubing mascara, but I have tested this in the past and it does give major oomph to lashes. So if regular mascaras work for you, it’s a winner.

Pure Radiance Overnight Lip Treatment Duo

I use this every night before bed and in the morning when I wake up. It’s not heavy like most overnight lip treatments are, which is why I like it so much. It’s lasted forever too.

What Will Sell Out

The pricey brands will sell out because it’s hard to pay full price for U Beauty and Natura Bisse! I bet the Dermaflash will sell out quickly too. The beauty sets sell out but oddly restock fairly often. Most of the hair tools stay in stock though.

Final Thoughts

Beauty is such an easy category to go overboard in, so pick a couple of things you’ll actually use daily and let yourself splurge on one or two you’ve been eyeing.

Here’s the short story: boots and booties are strong again this year, heels lean classic and work appropriate, and there are a couple of sneakers I think will sell out the first day (but restocks do happen). I broke it all down below by category, with sizing notes and what’s worth it and what isn’t.

Almost every pair on this list is sitting in my closet right now — which means I can tell you how they fit, how they’ve held up, and whether they’re worth buying on sale.

For sizing context: I’m typically a 6.5/7, and I’ve noted the size I wear for each pair below because sale shoes sell out too fast for an order-exchange round trip.

Boots & Booties I Own

Boots and booties are also impressive this year, but like the jeans, there are a lot of styles repeated from previous years, which is great if your style leans more classic. When you shop with timeless style in mind, you’ll get a lot longer life out of your wardrobe and won’t feel the need to buy and buy more each year.

Sam Edelman Wren Buckle Knee High Boot

I got these last year and absolutely love them. They look great with dresses and skinny jeans (if that’s your thing), and they’re comfortable even with lots of walking. The only difference between last year’s and this year’s is that this year’s has a buckle on the side.

I went up to a 7 in these so I can wear thicker socks but order your usual size if you prefer thinner socks.

PAIGE Lyra Pointed Toe Chelsea Boot

I have a previous year’s version of these, and the only differences this year is the slightly shorter shaft (which would be easier to style) and the cap toe detailing. They’re a pull-on style but very easy to get on and off. I sized up to a 7 in these.

Margaux Downtown Boot

Update July 15: Going fast — sizes under 10 already gone.

I’ve owned and loved these boots in a dark burgundy suede version for almost three years. They were gifted to me by the brand and quickly became my most-worn bootie. They’re so comfortable and versatile enough to wear with jeans or when wearing boots with dresses.

The fact that they’re included in the sale — in a rich brown leather — made my jaw drop. I’m buying them (and will again go up 1/2 size). (I ordered this.)

Dolce Vita Salma Bootie 

I bought years ago (pre-kids… so at least 7 years) taupe color and still love them. A neutral bootie is something you’ll keep for years, so make sure it’s comfortable.

I went up 1/2 size to a 7.

Veronica Beard Laidie Kitten Heel Bootie

I get annoyed when I see bad reviews of these when I love them SO much. They were a big splurge for me last year and I never regretted buying them. I wore them all winter with jeans, dresses and skirts paired with tights. I went up 1/2 size to a size 7 and I’m very glad I did.

La Canadienne Wisdom Bootie

I own these in gray, and every winter I’m glad I have them, even though they are pricey, because they are so warm and easy to walk in. They also make it easier to style some of my cropped jeans since the shaft is the perfect height. Black or brown (the colors in the sale this year) would be far more versatile than the taupe gray color I have, though, so I plan to buy a different color. TBD which! I would definitely go up 1/2 size; I have a size 7.

Heels & Slingbacks I Own

They’re easy to walk in, but the toe box is a little bit narrow for me, so expect a small breaking-in period. I own these in French Sand in a 6.5. I also like the Cafe Noir and Honey Bourbon in suede for something other than the nude.

Sam Edelman Finch Slingback Pointed Toe Pump

I love the little kitten heel on these. Understated and chic — and easy to walk in. I have a 6.5.

Sam Edelman Brandy Pointed Toe Mule

Clearly, I love Sam Edelman because they’re just so perfect -comfortable and on-trend- but still classic and not overly expensive. I have a 6.5 in these in the dark chocolate suede. They’re easy to walk in and a perfect summer-to-fall transition heel.

Marc Fisher Gretty Pointed Toe Pump

I owned these a few years ago and loved them. The only reason I got rid of them is none of my shoes fit after my pregnancies.

Nine West Gemmha Pointed Toe Pump

I owned these for the 15 years I worked in banking in just about every color they’ve ever sold.

Sneakers I Own

NEW BALANCE 530 Sneaker

I own these in a navy and white colorway and they’re one of my favorite sneakers to wear with athleisure. I’m fully expecting the silver colorway included in this year’s sale to sell out immediately, but I’m still going to try to get it.

On Cloudmonster

I own these in two colors – each purchased during the Nordstrom Sale the last two years. They’re my most comfortable walking shoes and they’re cute enough for athleisure. I wear them for hiking easy trails too.

Veja Campo Sneaker

I named these the best white sneakers for 4+ years for a reason. They’re comfortable, go with everything, and are cute but not overly trendy. People either love or hate how Vejas feel, but I’m in the love deeply camp since I’ve walked countless miles in them and take them on every vacation. I’m typically a 6.5/7 and wear these in a 37.

New Balance 327 Sneaker

These were the hot sneaker two years ago (in the black and white colorway), and last year they sold an all-white version, which I also bought. It’s back again this year, with a pale pink N, but I’m not as excited about the 327s as in years past. They’re comfortable and cute, but I’m preferring other styles lately.

I sized up to a 7 in these.

Puma Speedcat Premium Sneaker

I own these in brown but find them a bit hard to style. They’re comfortable, so there’s that. I’d size up if you’re on the fence, especially if you have a wider toe box.

Flats I Own

Steve Madden Rixy Metal Crescent Mule

I got these last year or the year before and wore them into the ground. They’re so comfortable and a great summer-to-fall transition shoe. This year’s version has a sleeker metal detail than the previous year’s style.

More Pairs Worth a Look

Franco Sarto Raquel Sneaker

These look similar to the Veronica Beard Riviera sneakers I’ve been eyeing, but the Franco Sarto pair is under $100. Franco Sarto has always been comfortable for me, so I’m hopeful.

I always go up ½ size in sneakers, so I’ll buy these in a 7. (I ordered this)

Sperry – Saltwater Eye Waterproof Duck Shoe

I find rain boots suffocating when it’s humid, but I really need a practical boot for rainy days in the South. I’m hoping these are the pair I finally keep since I’ve returned so many rain boots over the years (or, even worse, bought and kept and never wore – looking at you tall Hunter boots). (I ordered this)

Margaux Anything

I have multiple pairs of Margaux shoes and the quality, fit and craftsmanship are unmatched. If you care about comfort and like buying shoes you’ll wear for years, you can’t go wrong with Margaux.

I’m trying to justify buying the Cap-Toe Pointe (I ordered this), even though I own a similar style, and will likely buy the Woven Paz Flat since my woven flats from Madewell have holes after 4 years of non-stop wear.

I go up ½ size in their boots and order my usual size in their flats.

What I Predict Will Sell Out

Some shoes sell out quickly, and others stay surprisingly in stock. Sneakers, practical heels and tall boots are usually the first to go.

Every year, there’s that one pair that’s gone almost immediately, and this year, I think it’s the New Balance 530 Sneaker in Gold Metallic Linen(I ordered this). I already have one color in this exact sneaker and wear it constantly, so I get why this one’s going to move fast.

The Margaux Downtown Boot in brown leather is right behind it on my list. I’ve owned this boot in burgundy for almost three years and it’s my most-worn bootie, so finding it in brown made my jaw drop. I’m buying it the second I get access (I ordered this).

I have over 50 pairs of denim, so I very much do not need more denim, but it does make me the best person to advise you on the most flattering styles and what size to get.

The Jeans I Already Owned or Bought

Paige Anessa

I bought these last year and love how leg-lengthening they are. I kept mine long to pair with booties and heels, so keep that in mind when you’re shopping and how you envision yourself wearing them. They’re more of an elevated jean than an everyday pair. I got a 26, but should have sized down. They stretch out a bit. (I ordered this.)

MOTHER The Hustler Roller Sneak High Waist Wide Leg Jeans

These are stunning, but they’re so long that by the time I hem them, they’d lose their shape. The fabric also felt like it’d stretch out pretty easily. I have a 27 but probably should have done a 26 based on the fabric.

MOTHER The Kick It High Waist Straight Leg Jeans

I love straight leg jeans and these are one of the most flattering pairs I own. My wash is a little darker than the one in the sale, but I honestly prefer the sale option. Go up 2 sizes in these. I have a 27 and typically wear 25 or 26.

Levi’s Ribcage High Waist Straight Leg

The Nordstrom wash of these is a faded black that I really like for fall and winter, and I like that they’re not distressed or true black. I absolutely love how these fit (and already owned them in 2 other colors). I typically wear a 25/26 and got a 27 in these. Under $100!

The Joe’s Mia High Waist Jeans

The Joe’s Mia High Waist Jeans are one of the most flattering jeans I’ve ever owned. I bought mine last year and had them hemmed, so keep that in mind with how long they are.

The Mother Hustler Patch Pocket Bootcut Jeans

I was gifted these by the brand a few months ago and they’re very cute but definitely size up! I got a size 27 and typically wear a 25 or 26.

Mother Weekender

This is the first pair of Mother jeans I ever got. Mine have a stepped hem which I don’t love anymore, and this year’s version doesn’t have that.

Size up in these. While they do have a petite option, I have found it too short in the past, and I’m only 5’1″.

Paige Stevie High Rise Straight Leg

The Paige Stevie jeans included in the Nordstrom sale are a dark wash; I own them in a lighter wash (pictured), and they’re incredibly flattering on the butt. I’m petite so I find the rise has a little extra fabric, but otherwise, they’re absolutely perfect. I’m very tempted to buy the wash included in the sale. I have a size 25.

Kut from the Kloth Meg Patch Pocket High Waist Ankle Wide Leg Jeans

I bought these a couple years ago when postpartum and loved them. I’m getting them again this year since my size has changed. The current year’s version has a sleeker hem, which I like better too. I always size down in this brand. (I ordered this.)

Madewell Wide Leg Drawstring Airy Denim in Faded Ivy

I don’t have anything in this color, and I love the airy denim – it’s a perfect option for “hot fall” in the South where you want it to be fall, but it’s still 80 degrees in September.

I ordered a size 26 and they fit perfectly.

Madewell Wide Leg Drawstring Airy Denim in Mobridge Wash

I also ordered these in a traditional denim color, because why not? If I had to choose, I’d choose the Faded Ivy option since it’s different from anything I own.

Madewell Darted Utility Barrel Leg Jeans

This style is relaxed but not sloppy and a nice change from traditional denim. However, they were huge. I ordered a 26 and had a ton of space in the waist. I’m hoping to snag a 25 if they restock since I really liked the fit and color.

Mother Bookie Sneak Mid Waist Bootcut

File this under a frivolous purchase because I really don’t need more jeans, but I love the wash of these and the very subtle flare. Mother has really mastered the fit-and-flare style, and this style feels a little more relaxed than the Weekender or Hustler, which is why I want them.

I’m ordering a 26 and really hoping the waist isn’t too low for me. (I ordered this.)

Levi’s Easy Dad Jeans

I love the classic, worn-in wash of these, and Levi’s are one of the few brands that I can wear a more tapered leg without it being unflattering, since they always have ample room in the hips, which I need.

I’m sizing up in these to a 27. (I typically wear a 25 or 26, but this style in particular, I’ll want looser and Levi already runs small) I doubt I’ll keep both these and the Mother Bookie so we’ll see what’s best.

Paige Leenah High Waist

While the white jeans might seem too spring/summery, the wide-leg style will be great paired with crew-neck sweaters and booties, especially if you style them with all neutrals.

I have wide-leg white jeans, but they have brown stitching, and it drives me nuts, so I’m planning to replace them with these.

Levi’s Ribcage High Rise Wide Leg

These are definitely a lounge denim – they’re super soft and also super long. But they’ll be perfect for days where I want to be cozy since I’m not really a loungewear-during-the-day kind of person. I need to think through how often I’d actually wear them before I decide to keep them! I got a size 26.

Pistola Lana High Waist Wide Leg Jeans

These didn’t work out for me. The waist ran tight, and the length was so long that hemming them would’ve thrown off the whole leg shape. The fabric also felt like it’d stretch out fast. I’m passing on this pair.

Sizing Cheat Sheet

• General rule: Designer denim mostly fits true to size, but Mother definitely runs small
• Size down: Paige Anessa, Kut from the Kloth (and most other affordable pairs like Wit & Wisdom)
• Size up: Levi’s Ribcage, The Mother Hustler, Mother Weekender, Levi’s Easy Dad Jeans
• Petite note: Mother Weekender petite runs short — I am 5’1″ and find it too short

What I Predict Will Sell Out

Sizes 25-28 in the designer denim — Mother, PAIGE, Madewell — go first, every single time. Medium washes always sell before dark washes. And I’d bet on the Mother Bookie Sneak Mid Waist Bootcut selling out fast. Flare is having a moment, and I don’t think I’m the only one who’s noticed.

We have 4 of these, two in my car and two in Tommy’s, since it transitions from the infant to toddler to forward-facing little kid phase. Although if the Nuna rotating car seat had been an option when we purchased our Nunas, I would probably do that.

UppaBaby Vista Stroller

Very pricey, but I promise it’s worth the investment if you have multiple kids. We’ve used this non-stop for six years. First with the bassinet, then with the rumble seat and now with the rumble seat + piggy back board. Here’s my full review of the UppaBaby Vista stroller.

WAYB Pico Forward Facing Car Seat 

We now have 4 of these (granted, I was gifted the first two by the brand, but then I bought more since we love them so much). We have two for when we travel to Utah to see my family, one for my nanny’s car and one for my in-laws’ cars. I wouldn’t want it as our main car seat, but for travel or those driving the boys less often, it’s great because it’s small and portable. If you plan to travel with it frequently, get the Pico Car Seat carry bag. I’m getting the Pico Car Seat cupholder on sale since we always have long car rides in Utah.

Thule Jogging Stroller 

If you want to run with your kids, snag this while it’s on sale. I like it better than the BOB Jogging Stroller since it rides smoother and the handle height is adjustable. Read my Thule stroller review for more pros and cons. If you want to run with your kids, snag this while it’s on sale.

Doona Car Seat Stroller

I relied on the Doona constantly in the baby stage. It’s a car seat that converts to a stroller in seconds — wheels down, go — so quick errands didn’t mean hauling a second piece of gear. And once you have two kids to wrangle, the less gear, the better. My full Doona review covers what I loved and what I didn’t.

Baby & Travel Gear We Own

Nanit Bundle

We’ve used this baby monitor since we had Thomas and bought a second one for Charles. We have one in each boy’s room and one in Boone. I love being able to check on them from anywhere and the nightlight feature is great for middle-of-the-night feeds. We use the travel kit all the time, but we never used all the breathing bands, so if you want just the monitor, it’s cheaper to buy the Nanit from Amazon.

Solly Wrap 

My favorite carrier for the itty-bitty baby phase. (Ahhh, I miss my tiny newborns!) It takes a little bit of practice to figure out how to use it, but then it’s super comfortable and it’s great for taking on-the-go since it compresses into a small ball that easily fits in a diaper bag or mom purse.

Baby Bjorn Bouncer & Bjorn Mini Carrier 

Once my boys moved out of the Solly wrap, I loved the Baby Bjorn Mini. The Solly became difficult once he got a little bigger, but the regular Bjorn carrier felt intense. I liked this from like 3-9 months and then I used the bigger Bjorn after that.

The Nordstrom Sale combines the mini carrier with the bouncer, which is great since we loved both. The Bjorn Bouncer is much better than typical giant baby swings since it’s easy to move around and it collapses flat. Plus, both boys liked it better than the electric swings we were gifted.

SlumberPod 

This is a must if you travel with little ones and have to share a space. It blacks out their crib so you can have the lights on and don’t need to stumble around them in the dark. We used it with both boys when traveling and even when moving before their rooms were set up. Countless frineds have borrowed it too, so you’ll be a popular mom-friend if you have one.

What I’d Skip

Cybex Libelle Lightweight Stroller 

We had this for a few years, but it was awful, despite the 5-star reviews. It feels so cheap and it never sat the boys up enough. This looks like a newer version, but I still wouldn’t risk it. If you need a travel stroller, get a Zoe Stroller instead.

You’ll work closely with our visual lead (creative direction on reels and graphics), our copywriting team, our brand manager (partnerships), and directly with TeriLyn. This role pairs with a part-time Analytics & Admin VA who handles reporting and tracking, so you can stay focused on content.

Core Responsibilities

Daily Content & Posting

• Post in-feed on Instagram daily 1-3x daily (mix of reels and carousels)
• Build the Gro List automations that match each day’s posts, and set up the related IG Collection links.
• Finalize and publish daily outfits to the “Today’s Outfits” ShopMy collection.
• Post brand- and product-specific sales in the IG Channel and LTK chat.
• Monitor ShopMy chat — respond to messages and flag anything for TeriLyn.

So when a friend of mine sent me some Crunchi makeup to try, I was skeptical. It’s rare that a product blows me away, so I’m shocked to admit that there are now a handful of Crunchi products that have made their way into my daily makeup routine. I really like these products. I applied them for the first time on camera in this reel.

My Crunchi Makeup Review (what I like and what I don’t)

Is Crunchi Truly Non-Toxic?

Yes! Crunchi is known for being a squeaky-clean beauty brand (which is why Crunchi makes my list of the best clean makeup brands). They test every ingredient they use, and everything in their products has been validated as “safe” via a 30-step screening process. They have a long list of “banished” ingredients you’ll never find in their products. See the Crunchi banished ingredients listed on their website here. The US doesn’t have a standard definition of “toxin-free” in the beauty industry. Still, Crunchi has defined “toxin-free” this way: It does not contain any ingredients known to cause harm or health hazards, based on available ingredient data and research. Non-toxic makeup is better for you because it reduces the risk of skin irritation, allergies, and long-term health issues. It’s also generally safer for the environment.

Every single Crunchi product is vegan (with one exception- the Hydrogloss Lip Oil contains organic beeswax) and gluten-free. Okay, let’s get to my full Crunchi cosmetics review, product by product! I’m breaking down the best (and worst) Crunchi products, along with my recommendation of buy, maybe buy, or don’t buy. I also have a Crunchi promo code at the bottom of the post, if you decide to buy anything!

My ratings are explained below:

• Skip – not worth buying since there are better alternatives
• Buy – if non-toxic is your most important criteria, the product is acceptable but not my favorite
• Must Buy – it’s one of my favorite products, non-toxic or not!

Sunlight® Facial SPF 30 – SKIP

Technically, I guess this Sunlight® Facial SPF 30 isn’t really a makeup item, but I wear SPF daily underneath my makeup, so I include it in this review. The Sunlight® Facial SPF 30 is a non-toxic face sunscreen but it leaves such a white cast that I can’t use it. Better options are the Crunchi Tinted SPF or this non-toxic face sunscreen from OneSkin. (OneSkin SPF was the winner for the best sunscreen in my Best of Beauty awards!)

Smart Primer – BUY

I’ve started wearing this Smart Primer under my foundation almost daily and I feel like my skin looks SO good. It smooths my fine lines and pores and gives my skin a really smooth canvas. It also helps my foundation to last all day long, which can be a challenge with clean products!

Crunchi Beautifully Flawless Foundation – MUST BUY

Crunchi Foundation makes my skin look really good. It’s a medium to full coverage foundation (more on the full side). I’ve found it challenging to find a non-toxic full-coverage foundation, and this isn’t perfect. I don’t love how it feels on my face for the first 30 minutes after I apply it – it’s heavy until it settles in. I think this is an excellent option if you’re looking for a non-toxic, full-coverage foundation, but I still reach for other foundations in my bag more often.

The main ingredients in this foundation are snow mushroom, organic botanical sunflower and aloe. The Snow mushroom hydrates, smoothes, and plumps the skin, while the sunflower and aloe give you a smooth, buildable texture. I use shade 2.5.

Crunchi Beautifully Flawless Foundation Review

This was one of the most surprising products I tried. It gave gorgeous coverage (it’s definitely more full coverage than medium); I often wear this for a special event or photoshoots; the only downside is that it does tend to settle in lines more than some of my other brands, so just go light in areas that are prone to that (I notice it most in smile lines).

Sunlight® Tinted SPF 30 – MUST BUY

The Sunlight® Tinted SPF 30 is a definite yes. This is my favorite Crunchi product by far, since it’s the perfect tinted moisturizer! Not too much coverage, not too little, not too greasy, not too drying. I’ve tried many different brands (Beautycounter, Ilia, Elta MD, Wonderscreen, Tarte), and I like the Sunlight® Tinted SPF 30 the very best. If you buy just ONE thing to start, get this. I actually love it so much that I named it my favorite tinted moisturizer of 2024 in my Best of Beauty awards blog post.

It’s hydrating, and the SPF does not dry me out (rare for tinted moisturizers). The coverage is better than the other clean-tinted moisturizers I’ve tried. It also doesn’t have any weird smells, unlike my other favorite tinted moisturizer (Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint, which I’ve also reviewed) and it doesn’t leave my skin looking greasy (like Dime Beauty Wonderscreen, another clean brand I’ve reviewed).

This tinted moisturizer’s SPF is non-nano mineral zinc oxide, a safe form of SPF. It also contains vitamin C and niacinamide to brighten the skin and minimize the appearance of pores. Squalane and hyaluronic acid help hydrate and lock in moisture.

If you prefer an even lighter base that truly feels like a no-makeup makeup, you might love the Oliveda Skin Tint, which you can read about in this Oliveda Makeup Review.

My Alibi® Liquid Concealer – MUST BUY

Definite yes. The My Alibi® Liquid Concealer brightens and covers so well – it even covered my dark circles flawlessly on a particularly hard day, after being up all night with my baby. I love the small packaging too. I’ve been grabbing this over my Tarte concealer (reviewed here) and ILIA concealers. It’s made with a superfruit oil blend, which hydrates, smoothes, and depuffs the under eyes. It also contains snow mushroom, which gives it that smooth texture and helps brighten the area under the eyes.

Solarise® Bronzing Duo – BUY

I’ve been loving the Solarise® Bronzing Duo lately, but it is VERY pigmented so it can be hard to apply and blend. So, be sure to use a super fluffy brush to diffuse the product and you’ll love the sunkissed glow it gives me. This bronzer comes in a two-shade pan, and it’s talc-free.

Cheekmate® Liquid Blush – MUST BUY

Absolute yes. The Cheekmate® Liquid Blush is the second-best Crunchi makeup product I’ve tried (or maybe tied with the concealer!). It’s super pigmented and looks fantastic once you buff it in. If you’re new to liquid blush, however, it may take a bit to get used to. You only need a tiny dot of product and blend it very well with a fluffy brush, since it’s easy to overdo it (you can find my other favorite liquid blushes at this post).

The pigment is made of 100% pure earth pigments that are naturally derived and long-lasting. Plant squalane gives it a smooth, lightweight texture. Snow mushroom and meadowfoam seed oil hydrate and plump the cheeks, and licorice root extract is a natural antioxidant that protects the skin from environmental stressors.

Nutribrow® Eyebrow Pencil – BUY

The Nutribrow® Eyebrow Pencil is another solid product. The color is the best I’ve ever found in a brow pencil and easy to apply. However, it doesn’t have any fancy frills that other brow pencils do (you have to sharpen it yourself, and it doesn’t have a spoolie on the end) which I find rather annoying.

This pencil is made with fruit waxes, which keep the brows defined and sculpted.

Everluxe® Lip Crayon – BUY

The Everluxe® Lip Crayon is a buy because I love how it looks and applies, but it has a very weird smell that turns me off. But, this lip crayon is made with 100% pure earth pigments that are naturally derived and long-lasting and fruit waxes that give it a natural glide.

Hydrogloss® Lip Oil – MUST BUY

This Hydrogloss Lip Oil is hydrating, not sticky and comes in the prettiest colors. And I like that it doesn’t deposit too much product. It’s one I grab over and over!

This gloss is made with organic beeswax which gives it high shine, an organic fruit blend for hydration, and 100% pure earth pigments for natural color (you can find some of my other favorite lip glosses here).

Highliner® Pencil Eyeliner – SKIP

HARD pass. This Highliner Pencil Eyeliner has a very stiff consistency and is very difficult to use. It required so much effort to apply that it actually irritated my eyes. If you really want a safe eyeliner, I suppose you could use this, but you may need to warm it up under a blow dryer to get it to work. I’d buy Ilia’s Gel Liner instead.

This eyeliner is made with sunflower seed oil for a creamy smooth application (I did not think it was smooth), and fruit waxes for smudge-proof wear.

Eyeshadow – BUY…or SKIP

I reacted to the Shadow Bar Enchanted Neutrals eyeshadow, pictured below, (which I realize might not be the case for most). However, I had no issues with the Shadow Bar Matte Neutrals palette and really like the shades. However, it’s not very pigmented so you do have to build the color. It blends easily though!

These shades are made of 100% pure earth pigments for long-lasting color (these are heavy metal tested) and organic olive and jojoba oils for smooth, buildable texture.

I had multiple pairs growing up and thought they were the coolest shoes imaginable. Then they disappeared for years, and I never expected to see them come back in my 40s. Yet here we are. Jelly shoes are officially trending again for summer 2026, and much to my annoyance, I’ve ended up liking them.

That said, this is not a trend I’d personally spend a lot of money on. I don’t think jelly shoes are becoming a forever staple like white sneakers or classic sandals, but more of a fun, seasonal trend. So for me, the sweet spot is finding affordable pairs that are cute (and comfortable) without overcommitting.

What I didn’t expect was how practical they are for mom life. They’re easy to rinse off after being outside with the boys (who always end up in dirt), watering plants, or going to the pool. They’re lightweight and breathable and make a lot more sense for hot southern summers than I initially gave them credit for. 

But I’m 41. I don’t want to look juvenile, but I’ve found that when styled right, jelly shoes look youthful without making me look like I’m trying to dress like a teenager. So what’s the right way? Balance them with classic basics in your summer capsule wardrobe. Think t-shirts, button-downs, denim shorts, simple maxi dresses. 

I still lean heavily on sneakers with dresses during the summer, especially for busy days running around with the boys, but jellies are a fun addition.

(Tip: if you wear short dresses, don’t miss the best shorts to wear under dresses because I refuse to deal with thigh chafing.)

Why Are Jelly Shoes Trending Again?

Every few summers, fashion decides to revive something from the late ‘90s and early 2000s, and this year it’s jelly shoes. The difference now is that there are so many styles compared to the versions most of us had growing up. Instead of glittery plastic sandals, there are softer neutral colors, woven textures, Mary Janes, mesh flats, and simple low heels.

But some versions are still too trendy for my taste. I’m skipping:

• Fisherman jelly sandals
• Wedge jelly shoes
• Birkenstock-inspired jelly sandals
• Jelly clogs (these gave me a visceral reaction)

Those styles are bulkier, and I find them less flattering. The pairs I like are simpler and cleaner.

My Favorite Jelly Shoes for Summer 2026

I rounded up all my favorite pairs in the collection below, including affordable options, a few genuinely cute designer versions, and the styles I think are easiest to wear. But let’s break them down a bit more.

Jelly Mary Janes or Ballet Flats

If you get only one pair, make it these Dolce Vita Jam Jelly Flats.

They are feminine, cushioned and comfortable for walking (I’ve walked a mile in them without issues). They’re also easy to style, especially if your wardrobe already leans classic and casual like mine. I’d wear them with denim shorts, dresses, cropped denim, and simple accessories, exactly how I’d wear boat shoes or loafers.

Affordable Jelly Shoes

If you’re experimenting with the trend, I’d keep your budget reasonable. There are plenty of cute jelly sandals under $50. The Cushionaire brand from Amazon makes shockingly great shoes — I bought these in Mocha, which is a neutral color and they go with everything. Size down.

Jelly Flip Flops

I’m seeing these everywhere right now and they’re probably the easiest entry point if you’re unsure about the trend.

A simple jelly flip-flop works really well with relaxed summer basics and doesn’t look overly trendy. Some of the newer jelly flip-flops almost look like cute sandals instead of traditional flip-flops, especially in neutral colors.

Jelly Heels

I don’t usually love trendy heels, but I’m in love with these kitten-heel jelly sandals for some reason. (Here’s a very similar Amazon version if you want to save a little money.) They’re just so chic when styled simply: think extra-wide-leg jeans and a button-down, or a slip dress. And the woven jelly heels are probably the chicest version of this trend I’ve seen so far. They look especially good with linen pants or a casual dress.

Jelly Shoes Outfit Ideas for 2026

1. Jelly Ballet Flats + Denim shorts + Striped Tee 

Pair jelly ballet flats with:

• denim shorts
• a striped tee
• classic sunglasses
• a tote bag

This is by far the way I style jellies the most because it’s an outfit I wear on repeat. Once you have a great pair of denim shorts, almost anything works with them, including jelly flats. Jelly mules are another option that pairs well with this easy summer uniform.

2. Jelly Sandals + Linen Pants + Tank

Pair neutral jelly sandals with:

• white linen pants
• a fitted tank
• a beaded necklace
• a straw bag

It’s relaxed and easy, while the jelly sandals just make it more fun. It’s a perfect outfit for running errands, grabbing lunch with friends, or running around on a Saturday where you somehow end up at three different kids’ activities before noon

3. Jelly Mary Janes + Straight Leg Jeans

This is the outfit I’d most realistically wear on repeat.

Add jelly flats to:

• straight-leg ankle jeans
• a simple white tee
• a lightweight cardigan
• a crossbody bag

Jelly Mary Janes work perfectly for this outfit because they’re refined enough to wear with real clothes vs swimsuits or athleisure.

4. Jelly Slides + Beach Coverup

Jelly shoes make perfect beach shoes because they’re waterproof and easy to clean.

Throw jelly mules on with:

• a black swimsuit
• a knit cover-up
• a sunhat

Easy and practical. This might be where jelly shoes make the most sense. They’re waterproof, easy to clean, and you don’t have to stress about getting sand all over them.

5. Jelly Heels + Simple Black Dress

Pair jelly heels with:

• a black maxi dress
• a delicate necklace
• a structured handbag

If you want jelly shoes to feel more grown-up, this is the move. Keep accessories simple and avoid layering on too many trends at once.

6. Jelly Flip Flops + Athletic Dress

This is such a realistic summer mom outfit. It works for park days, swim meets, summer parties, or weekend coffee runs. Comfort matters more to me than almost anything at this stage of life, and this combination feels like a true summer uniform in the best way.

Pair jelly flip flops with:

• an athletic dress
• a baseball hat
• oversized sunglasses

How to Make Jelly Shoes Look Chic

The easiest way to make jelly sandals look stylish instead of childish is through contrast.

Since jelly shoes already feel playful and nostalgic, pair them with pieces that feel more classic:

• linen pants
• structured denim
• crisp button-downs
• matching set outfits
• simple gold jewelry

I’d also avoid pairing jelly shoes with overly trendy clothes since wearing multiple trend-forward pieces together can look costume-y fast.

And if comfort matters to you as it does to me, look for softer, flexible materials and avoid stiff plastic pairs. Some of the stiff plastic versions will give you the same blisters you remember from the ’90s, so if something is stiff out of the box, it likely doesn’t bode well.

Are Jelly Shoes Worth Buying?

For me, yes, but with limits.

I don’t think this is a trend worth spending a lot of money on because I’m not convinced it has long-term staying power. But I do think jelly sandals are fun and really practical for summer.

Will I still be wearing jelly shoes five years from now? Probably not. But for low-key days with the boys, pool days, fishing in our backyard in Boone, and hot southern summers, I’m all in.

Is There a Dress Code at the U.S. Open?

The U.S. Open doesn’t have a strict dress code for spectators. Unlike Wimbledon, where crisp whites and traditional attire are part of the culture, New York’s tournament is more relaxed. Celebrities like Taylor Swift, Anna Wintour, and Zendaya have helped turn the U.S. Open into as much a fashion event as it is a sporting event.

With that said, it’s definitely a more elevated event, and you’ll see everything from linen sets to elevated day dresses. The key is to balance comfort (you’ll be walking and sitting for hours) with polish (this is one of NYC’s biggest social sporting events). Skip the casual tees and distressed denim. Here’s what to wear instead.

What Spectators Wear: Daytime vs. Evening Sessions

While there’s no official dress code for spectators, most attendees naturally adjust their outfits based on the session they’re attending.

Day Sessions

Day matches tend to be the hottest part of the tournament, so lightweight fabrics are your best friend. You’ll see plenty of linen shorts, breezy dresses, tennis skirts, sunglasses, and comfortable sneakers. Think breathable cottons and linens over anything structured or heavy.

Evening Sessions

Night sessions at Arthur Ashe often attract a slightly more elevated crowd. Knit dresses, blazers, tailored trousers, loafers, ballet flats, and elevated accessories are common. You don’t need cocktail attire, but many spectators dress a bit more formally than they do during the day.

A Note on Layering

A classic cardigan works well over a dress during the day and can be draped over your shoulders at night if it gets a little chilly. It also helps dress up any outfit that leans a little more casual. If you prefer a more polished look, a lightweight blazer transitions easily from afternoon matches to evening sessions.

The U.S. Open runs in late August through early September, so weather can swing from hot and humid to breezy and cool. Early afternoon matches often call for breathable fabrics like linen or cotton, while evening matches might need a light sweater or jacket.

Arthur Ashe Stadium is outdoors, which means you’ll likely spend hours moving between direct sun and shaded areas throughout the day. Hats and sunglasses are essentials, and non-toxic sunscreen is non-negotiable.

How Long You’re Going

If you’re planning a full day at the U.S. Open, what you wear becomes even more important — especially accessories. Go for shoes you can truly walk in and a bag that holds your basics without weighing you down.

What I’d Wear to the U.S. Open

If I were headed to the U.S. Open, this is exactly what I’d wear:

Day Session Outfit Ideas

Black tank + Trouser Shorts + Sambas

This is chic and classic and also gives classic Ralph Lauren vibes, which is fitting since they’re the official outfitter of the U.S. Open. Sambas look intentional but are comfortable enough for a full day on your feet.

White Knit Top + Skirt Set

This outfit looks much more expensive than it actually is. The matching knit pieces are clean and a little dressier than a typical daytime look, making it a great option if you’re heading to an evening session or going out afterward.

Lightweight Embroidered Shorts Set + Simple Sandals

Matching shorts sets are one of the easiest things to wear when you want to look put together without thinking too hard about it. This lightweight embroidered set is perfect for a hot day at the U.S. Open. Add simple sandals and a woven bag, and you’re good to go.

A Matching Skirt Set

This matching set has the same easy feel as a dress, but the separates make it a little breezier. Just add neutral sandals and sunglasses, and you’re ready for a full day at the Open.

A Green Tank + White Skirt

This top is an easy way to lean into the tenniscore trend without looking like you’re headed onto the court. The green knit tank gives it that sporty-prep feel, while the white skirt is more dressed up than a tennis skirt. Add oversized sunglasses and a straw bag.

A White Linen Dress + Lightweight Cardigan

A white linen dress is a must in my summer capsule wardrobe for this reason: it will work for a daytime session with flats or an evening session with heels and is breezy enough for heat but layers well with a cardigan. Perfection.

A Black Dress + Flat Sandals

This black maxi dress is exactly what I’d wear to an evening session at Arthur Ashe. It’s polished but not overly dressy. Throw on a comfy pair of strappy sandals and a cute shoulder bag (this cutie Cuyana Dia bag is my favorite lately).

A Maxi Skirt + A Structured Bag

Wearing a maxi skirt is an easy way to look put together. I’d pair it with a simple tee, comfortable sandals, and a structured bag so it reads chic instead of frumpy. Here’s more tips to style a maxi skirt.

Accessories

The outfits get all the attention, but the right accessories can make a long day at the U.S. Open a lot more comfortable.

Jewelry

I like keeping jewelry simple. The Cleo Bracelet Set and Heaven Mayhem’s Baby Knot Earrings are pieces I wear on repeat because they work with everything. They’re intentional without being fussy, which is exactly what I want for a long day outside.

Shoes

If there’s one thing I wouldn’t compromise on, it’s comfortable shoes. You’ll likely spend more time walking than you expect, so make sure you’re wearing pairs you can comfortably wear all day. I find myself reaching for the Palermo Sandal and Lily Liners over and over again because they work with just about every outfit and still feel comfortable after hours on my feet.

Bags

You’ll want a bag that’s easy to carry all day but still feels classic enough for dinner or an evening match afterward. For day sessions, I love a raffia bag like the J.Crew Handknotted Raffia Clutch because it feels summery and pairs effortlessly with dresses, skirts, and matching sets. Sunglasses

Final Thoughts

Dress up a little bit but don’t overdo it. Think tailored shorts, easy dresses, matching sets, and comfortable shoes you can wear from the first match to the last. The goal is to look put together without feeling overdressed. Now you’re ready for both the match and the Instagram photo ops. As for me, I’m still accepting U.S. Open tickets in the name of research.
