Installation Process:

1) Remove the two 13mm nuts from the backside of the cage bolts

2) With the two nuts removed, place the Agency Power whip light mounting bracket on the two protruding cage bolts

3) Thread the two nuts back on and tighten until snug

4) Install whip and/or pod light

Wondering how to replace the injectors in your Polaris RZR XP Turbo?  Its simpler than you think!  Upgrading the injectors in the Polaris RZR XP Turbo is necessary when you get to a certain power level and you do not want to max out the duty cycle of the stock injectors.  More fuel is always better than running out of fuel!  Obviously with bigger injectors a re-tune is required.  The injectors that we and others use are the Siemens Deka 80lb/hr shorty injectors part number A2C32624700.  These injectors are equivalent to 830cc for flow.  They are called “shorty” because they are only 48mm long from end to end.  The high impedance injectors are very linear and controllable at low pulse widths.  This allows you to use a larger injector than normal without hurting your idle or low speed drivability.  These injectors are able to function at high fuel pressures and don’t exhibit the high fuel pressure handling problems found with many other high flow high-impedance injectors. This makes these injectors very well suited to turbocharged and supercharged applications that see high fuel system pressures.

So where are these to change out?  If you remove the engine cover in the bed of your RZR XP Turbo, you can gain access to the engine to change out many components such as plugs, diverter valve, and these injectors.

1) Make sure the engine is off and the temperature has cooled down.  You don’t want to change these right after a run or dyno testing.  There are 2 bolts that hold the fuel rail to the engine head.  Remove these two 8mm bolts which allow you to lift up on the fuel rail.  Unplug the 2 wiring clips to the top of the stock injectors.  You may have to also take off the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator if it is in the way.

2) With the fuel rail lifted up, the stock injectors will come out of the cylinder head.  Now you can pull the injectors out from the fuel rail.

3) You can see the spray pattern difference from the new 80lb Deka injector on top and the stock 2017 RZR XP Turbo 55lb injector on the bottom.

4) Now putting the new 80lb Deka injector back in is easy enough but you want to make sure you do not tear or damage the o-ring.  Some people may use a little bit of lubricant to make sure it seats nicely.  Once the injectors are in on both sides, attach the injector harness plugs and place the fuel rail back on top of the injector.  Re-insert the 8mm bolts and torque them down just snug.

5) With the injectors installed, double check all your connections.  To make sure their are no leaks or issues, do not start your vehicle, but turn the ignition to the on position so the fuel pump is activated.  Check for leaks.  If there are none, you are good to go!

With our quick install guide you will be able to replace the factory radius rod plate with the Agency Power tow hitch for your Can-Am Maverick X3. The tow hitch is an excellent tool for pulling a small trailer or using various hitch attaching accessories while also stiffening up the radius rods.

Install Difficulty:

Tools Needed:

• UTV floor jack or lift
• 18mm socket and ratchet or impact

Installation Process

1) Jack up or lift the X3 from the rear chassis, but allow the wheels to touch the ground. This will remove the tension off the radius rods which will ease the removal and installation of the radius rod plate.

2) Loosen and remove the six bolts surrounding the factory radius rod plate with the 18mm socket and ratchet.

3) Remove the factory radius rod plates. The mounting studs for the radius rods have play and have to be moved around in order to get the plate completely off. Do not force the plate off as it can damage the threads.

4) Simply slide the Agency Power tow hitch onto the radius rod studs. The studs may need to move around to line up with all six holes.

5) Reinstall the six nuts and tighten them all down. **Threadlocker is recommended upon reinstallation of the nuts to ensure maximum stability without the worry of anything coming loose.**

6) Ready to shred!

This guide is to assist with the installation of the Agency Power Big Injector Upgrade for the Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo.

These are 1065cc at 3bar fuel pressure. Designed to be used with standard unleaded fuel. Tuning is required to maximize the performance of your Can-Am X3.

Step 1: Remove the two T30 screws located on the fuel rail. Step 2: Disconnect the electrical connectors  from each of the three injectors. Push down on the metal clip while pulling to free the connector from the injector.

Step 3: Remove the metal retaining clip by sliding it off the injector as shown below. 

Step 4: Next pull out the injector from the fuel rail. Keep in mind that gas will leak from the fuel rail during this step.

Step 5: Next install the Upgraded Big Injectors into the fuel rail and secure them to fuel rail using the metal retaining clip.

Step 6: Reinstall the fuel rail back into place and use the supplied USCAR to OBD1/EV1 electrical adapters to connect the new injectors.

Before starting the X3 prime the fuel system by by cycling the ignition to ACC mode 2-3 times. Check the system for any fuel leaks.

The Calipers

Our calipers are a 2 piece construction that has built in “ears” to mount to the wheel carrier. Removing the need for additional brackets and spacers like other companies may use, gives the Agency Power caliper an extremely rigid advantage. Each caliper half is assembled using 4 10mm cross bolts for maximum stiffness. Other products on the market only use 3/8 inch hardware which is not adequate. This rigidity eliminates caliper flex from hard pedal pressure or the potential of pad knock back. In any motorsport, opposing piston caliper, pad “knock back” can occur from street cars to off-road use. The only way to eliminate this is with a floating caliper design like OEM. However you lose the performance of what a big brake kit can offer.

Internally, the caliper is well designed with custom machined piston sizing that provide an overall surface area comparable to many 6 piston vehicle brakes. Studying the way the vehicle would move under braking allowed us to come up with the proper piston bore for the front and rear calipers. Giving the Can-Am X3 a perfect squat under hard braking allows you to control your vehicle better compared to an unbalanced nose dive.

The Agency Power kit has been designed to use the stock master cylinder, stock brake lines, and still provide a much better pedal feel! Another added value of the caliper is the hard anodized aluminum pistons. These are extremely lightweight allowing them to move with ease to help with the clamping force on the rotor. Using both dust and weather seals, the brakes will not have issues from the harsh off-road elements compared to other products that only use pressure seals.

With a simple single side bleeder screw, bleeding the brakes does not require you to go from inside to outside on the caliper which saves time. Finally the caliper has an internal cross over to allow brake fluid to go to each side of the caliper and equally put pressure to the pistons. This gives the caliper a clean look and also eliminates the worry about breaking off external cross over pipes found on other systems.

The Brake Pads

Brake pads for the 4 wheel kit were chosen to provide the optimal performance for the majority of users. With the focus on balance, getting the right friction for the front and rear was important for this setup. The front caliper uses a Hawk HP+ N-Compound while the rear uses a DR1-C ceramic brake pad. Once bed-in properly, the brakes will provide amazing performance without excess squeaking noise. The brake pads are a common shape which allows for ease to access replacement pads.

The Rotors

An extremely important part of the big brake kit is the rotors. We utilize a 2 piece cast iron brake rotor just like you would see on high performance car brakes. Cast iron dissipates heat much better than steel like the factory style. Steel will hot-spot and throw heat back into the caliper making fluid boil and cause pedal inconsistencies. Cast iron also has a higher coefficient of friction compared to the single thin stamped steel rotor.

Each rotor is vented, slotted, and cross drilled. Because the rotors are also directional, while the rotor is spinning, it acts like a pump to cool the brake down. With the rotors larger diameter, this increases torque and leverage of the brake. Since brakes are essentially a heat sink, the better and more accurately we can dissipate heat, the better the brake will perform.

Fitment

The Agency Power Big Brake Kit is sold as a 4 wheel brake system only. It is designed to be used on 15 inch wheels. We have tested the fitment of the brakes with common wheels such as Method Race Wheels in both a 0mm and 13mm offset as well as Fuel Wheels 38mm offset. The brake kit will not clear the stock 14 inch wheels. It is available in many different color options. Kits include a 1 year manufacture warranty against defects. Replacement and consumable parts are available.

Removal

1. Remove the seats in the X3. We only removed the passenger side, but removing both sides makes for an easier installation.

2. Unbolt the front of the seat from the support. Remove the seat bottom to gain access to the rear bolts. Unbolt the rear from the rear bulkhead.

3. Disconnect the battery.

4. Removed passenger side grab handle grip. Remove the top and passenger side center console panels.

5. Remove the factory shift gate. This will allow access to the upper mounting holes.

6. Relocate the power distribution block and clip towards the rear of the vehicle.

7. Cut the passenger grab handle. This should be 2-3″ from the frame.
NOTE: Avoid damaging any brake lines, coolant lines, wiring, or panels.

8. Trim the interior plastic tab as shown and tuck the wiring harness below the remaining piece of the grab handle tube.
Note: When installing the bracket, route the harness and fuel lines behind the bracket to avoid damage

9. Install the handbrake into the grab handle tube. Line up the upper mounting holes with the side of the console. Install the M6 x 16mm bolts, large 1/4″ ID 1″ OD washers, and M6 Nyloc nuts through upper bracket mounting holes. The base should sit flat against the bottom of the console.

10. Mark where the handbrake base meets the console. Remove the handbrake and carefully drill 1/4″ holes into the center console.
NOTE: Avoid fuel lines, coolant lines, and wiring harness.

11. Disconnect the rear brake line from the master cylinder. (Farthest from the firewall) Connect the new stainless line to the master cylinder with new 10mm crush washers.

12. Route the brake line beneath the dash and to the other side. Route the brake line under the center console for the most clearance. Connect the line to the handbrake master cylinder, farthest port from the bracket using the 7/16-20 x 24mm banjo bolt. Connect the factory brake line to the second port, closest to the bracket using the 3/8-24 x 20mm banjo bolt.
NOTE: It is recommended to zip tie the brake lines away from any moving parts that can damage the line.

13. Reinstall the handbrake assembly to the console. Line up the upper mounting holes with the side of the console. Install the M6 x 16mm bolts, large 1/4″ ID 1″ OD washers, and M6 Nyloc nuts through upper bracket mounting hole.

14. Install the M6 x 25mm bolts, small M6 washers, and M6 Nyloc nuts through the newly drilled lower mounting holes.

15.Recommended for additional stability: Drill a 1/4″ hole through the factory grab bar tune and Agency Power front handbrake mount. Insert the M6 x 35mm bolt through the hole and secure with an M6 washer and Nyloc nut.

16. Fit the top Center console trim. Adjust the handbrake pushrod until the handbrake nearly touches the trimmed bracket. Ensure the handbrake has full range without interfering with the center console.

17. At this point we recommend bleeding the brakes. When bleeding the rear brakes, you may need to work the handbrake to work the air out of the system. Brakes should feel firm and like normal. Check for leaks in the system.

18. Additional handbrake adjustment may be necessary. Apply blue Locktite to the adjustment nut once the final location has been determined.

19. Road test vehicle before final assembly. If there is no problems, reassemble the interior, connect the battery, and reinstall the seats.

20. Enjoy sideways driving responsibly.

Carbon Fiber Center Dash

The center dash console is a full carbon fiber OEM replacement including the fuse box cover. The dash features cutouts for start button, switches, power outlet and mounting holes. For the 2017-2018, an aluminum mounting bracket that is powder coated black is included to secure the brake fluid reservoirs and other wiring under the factory dash insert. The console is a 2×2 carbon fiber weave with a high gloss clear coat finish. Because of the use of RFID in the factory key, we relocate the key to the side of the dash where the carbon fiber will not affect the signal.

Carbon Fiber Center Console

The center console is a full carbon fiber OEM replacement for the factory black plastic piece.  It features cup holders and cutouts for the shifter trim and grab handle.  The carbon fiber center console is easy to add additional switches to for lighting or products like our valvetronic exhaust system.  The console is a 2×2 carbon weave with a high gloss clear coat finish.  As an OEM replacement, it fits in place with the factory push clips and bolts.  This front part does fit the 2 door X3 as well as the 4 door X3 Max.

Carbon Fiber Glove Box Lid

The glove box door is a full carbon fiber OEM replacement for the factory black plastic piece. The glove box door is a 2×2 carbon weave with a high gloss clear coat finish. As an OEM replacement, it fits in place using the factory slots and reuses the grommet to stay securely closed. The carbon fiber piece is a perfect match for our other Agency Power carbon fiber Can-Am X3 parts.

Carbon Fiber Gauge Cluster Cover

The full replacement cover is beautiful, high gloss, 2×2 weave carbon fiber. It is a direct replacement for the factory plastic trim part. The bezel easily installs by removing the 4 torx bolts. Holes are pre-drilled for the M and S buttons to maintain functionality. The carbon fiber piece is a perfect match for our other Agency Power carbon fiber Can-Am X3 parts.

Important gauges like your AFR, Boost, Oil Pressure, or Belt Temperature can sit front and center while you worry about the oncoming terrain.

The gauge pod system mounts very easily utilizing existing hardware holes. The laser cut aluminum bracket fits around the rear of the stock cluster for a tight OEM fit. Powder coated in a texture black finish, the mounting bracket seamlessly integrates to your cluster. With a machined hex nut incorporated on either side of the mounting bracket, the selected gauge pods then attach securely. The hex key design allows for up to 3 different positions for each gauge pod to be angled.
