Time has a way of slipping by and already we are planning for the Assemblies of God Military Retreat for 2011. Some of you may have already PCS’ed and are now stationed outside of Europe but we have wonderful memories of the days together over the last two years.

With the military “transformation” that is taking place in Europe, we look forward to our time together and meeting with the Lord in a new and fresh way to be “spiritually transformed.” Perhaps that is why the planning committee chose the theme to come for, “R & R: BE REFRESHED AND RENEWED.”

God is sending some wonderful speakers to share His Word with us: Pastor Steve Perry from Lake Charles, Louisiana, a dynamic pastor and speaker; Missionary and Pastor Gary Davidson, founder of the Assemblies of God of Ireland; Youth minister Tim Waisanen, founder and director of People of Purpose, Sanford, Florida; Dr. Michael Jaffe, professor at Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri and Judy McChrystal who will be once again sharing with the ladies.

We will be blessed with Jim & Deb Peters and Lavon Reep for GTM who lead our worship and with Tim Waisanen who challenges our youth to walk with the Lord. For more than ten years Pastor Pete and Pam Meakens with Stan and Carleen Hall from Cedar Lake Assembly in Biloxie, Mississippi have made our kids come alive in Christ. Our youth and kids talk all year of going back to the Retreat where many have found the Lord, been filled with the Spirit and been set free from things that have hindered their walk with the Lord.

Now it is up to you to mark your calendars, begin saving and make definite plans beginning with Columbus day, October 10th . We have attached a small poster for you. Be in prayer with the leadership in speakers and come expecting great things from the Lord.
