Fungsi Read More ini mampu menampilkan image pertama dalam postingan dan mem-fload image tersebut di awal paragraf atau dengan kata lain ini merupakan fasilitas image thumbnail. Tidak hanya itu saja, kita dapat juga pengatur jumlah karakter yang ditampilkan.

Bagi anda yang sudah memasang Read More versi lama, silahkan kodenya di kembalikan dulu seperti semula, caranya hapus kode yang berwarna merah dibawah ini (Setiap template mungkin berbeda, silahkan disesuaikan).

Menambahkan sebuah efek bayangan yang timbul pada suatu objek mungkin akan mempercantik tampilan gambar pada posting kita. Coba anda perhatikan gambar yang ada pada setiap postingan blog ini, ada hal yang berbeda bukan?? Semua gambar tersebut memiliki bayangan yang membuatnya terlihat lebih menarik ~~(menurut saya..^^)~~.

Berikut Caranya :

1. Masuk ke akun Blogger anda, lalu pilih Layout > Edit HTML

2. Cari kode ]]></b:skin>, lalu paste kode css berikut tepat di atasnya:

Ketika berjalan-jalan ke blog teman, ada hal yang membuat saya tercengang. Wow, Backlinknya luar biasa banyak hingga puluhan ribu..!!, begitulah yang terpampang di widget alexa miliknya. Setelah saya membaca petunjuk di postingannya tentang cara menaikkan pagerank serta mendatangkan ribuan backlink, ternyata sangat mudah.

Langsung saja. Berikut caranya:
Anda hanya perlu mengcopy link yang berada dibawah ini dengan syarat menghapus link pada peringkat 1 di daftar tersebut. Lalu pindahkan link yang ada di peringkat 2 menjadi peringkat 1, peringkat 3 menjadi peringkat 2 dan seterusnya sampai peringkat ke 10 menjadi kosong. Tugas anda selanjutnya hanyalah mengisi peringkat yang sudah kosong dengan link anda sendiri. Langkah selanjutnya, Sebarkan cara ini ke teman-teman anda.

Membuat Threaded Commet Dengan Intense Debate

Threaded comment untuk Blogspot dengan menggunakan jasa layanan pihak ketiga. Pihak ketiga tersebut adalah Intense Debate. Untuk contohnya bisa anda lihat pada bagian commnet tiap posting pada blog ini. Caranya cukup mudah. Silahkan ikuti langkah-langkah membuat threaded comment pada Blogspot menggunakan Intense Debate.

Berikut Cara Membuat Threaded Commet Dengan Intense Debate:

Silahkan mendaftar pada situs resmi Intense Debate agar bisa menggunakan layanannya. Klik disini untuk mendaftar.
Selanjutnya login pada akun Anda di Intense Debate, lihat bagian Manage Blogs/sites yang ada disamping kanan. Klik link Install Intense Debate.
Anda akan diminta memasukkan alamat URL blog Anda. Klik tombol Next Step.
Sekarang Anda akan masuk pada tahap instalasi threaded comment dari Intense Debate. Akan ada beberapa pilihan dan panduan dalam proses instalasi.
- Pada bagian "How would you like to install IntenseDebate?", silahkan pilih Template agar kita mengganti sistem komentasi utama Blogspot dengan Threaded Comment dari Intense Debate.
- Pada bagian "Which blog posts should have IntenseDebate comments enabled?", silahkan pilih Only in new post agar sistem komentasi threaded comment hanya berlaku untuk posting-posting selanjutnya. Jika Anda menghendaki posting yang lama juga menggunakan Threaded Comment, maka pilih On all blog posts. Namun, jika Anda memilih opsi tersebut, komentar-komentar sebelumnya akan disembunyikan.
- Pada bagian 3, klik link Open blogger.com. Anda akan melihat akun Blogspot Anda terbuka pada iframe di halaman instalasi Intense Debate Tersebut.
Selanjutnya mendownload Template Blog Anda yang akan dimodifikasi. Kita melakukannya tetap melalui iframe yang ada pada halaman instalasi Intense Debate tersebut. Klik link Tata Letak pada Blog yang ingin Anda buatkan Threaded Comment-nya.
Kemudian pilih subtab Edit HTML.
Pada bagian Backup/Restore Template, klik link Download Template Lengkap. Simpan template tersebut pada hardisk Anda.
Sekarang lihat kembali bagian sebelah kiri dari Instalasi Intense Debate tersebut. Dibagian bawah Anda akan diminta untuk mengupload kembali template yang Anda download pada langkah 7 untuk dimodifikasi. Klik tombol Browse. Pilih template yang Anda simpan pada langkah 7 tadi. Kemudian klik tombol Upload File.
Langkah selanjutnya adalah mengcopy template modifikasi pada Blog Anda. Lihat kembali bagian sebelah kiri pada halaman instalasi Intense Debate tepatnya pada step No. 3. Pada bagian itu terdapat kode template hasil modifikasi yang telah memiliki sistem komentasi dari Intense Debate. Copy seluruh kode template yang ada pada kotak kecil tersebut.
Sekarang buka akun Blogspot Anda pada window atau tab browser yang lain. Klik link Tata Letak dari blog yang dimodifikasi tersebut. Kemudian pilih subtab Edit HTML. Paste kode template yang Anda copy pada langkah 9 ke dalam kotak Edit Template yang Anda buka tersebut. Kemudian klik Save Template.

Tutorial membuat spoiler di sidebar ini bukanlah hal baru dan telah banyak kawan-kawan blogger lainnya yang lebih dulu membagikan tips ini, tapi apa salahnya kalau saya bagikan ulang?? Dari sekian banyak script spoiler yang pernah saya coba, mungkin script inilah yang paling cocok untuk dipasang di sidebar (~~menurut saya pribadi~~). Berikut caranya..

- Login dulu ke Blogger.
- Pilih "Tata Letak".

Tips kali ini saya ambil dari Blogdoctor.me, hampir sama seperti postingan cara membuat sitemap sebelumnya "Sitemap Untuk Bloger 1", tapi ada sedikit perubahan pada metode pemanggilan feed, berikut contoh previewnya atau bisa anda lihat langsung disini :

# Cara mendapatkan API KEY :
- Silahkan klik link diatas atau disini - Centang "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions (printable version)".

- Masukan link blog anda.

- Pilih Generate API Key.

- Copy angka API Key anda yang terletak dibawah tulisan "Your key is :" selanjutnya ganti tulisan KUNCIAPI pada code dengan kode API Key yang telah anda dapat.

Copying data from DOS mode program screens

If you're still using DOS or console mode (also refereed to as character mode) programs that doesn't provide a way to export data, you maybe looking for a way to capture what's displayed on such programs.

Try this:

Start a DOS box or a Command Prompt (DOS box) inside Windows. "Start | Programs | Command Prompt / DOS"
Run the character mode program that you want to import data from, and go to the screen with the data you want to capture.
Right click the title bar of the DOS box
Select "Edit | Mark"
Click and drag the mouse until you select the data area that you want to copy. Press ENTER when you've finished selecting.
Switch to the Windows program that you want to import the just copied data to, and select its paste function.

Backing Up Your Windows Registry

Removing a virus or worm usually requires editing the Windows Registry, and the first step we recommend is to back it up. In the past, we've pointed readers to the Microsoft Knowledge base article KB322756 for details on backing up the registry. However, when it comes to backing up the whole registry, the KB information gets a little complicated when it doesn't need to.

One caveat, the technique described below only works for restoring non-catastrophic registry failures. It is intended to preserve settings in a healthy registry. Any registry editing should be done only by someone who knows what they're doing. If you're not familiar with the system, you may want to use the System Restore to save a snapshot of your system. If your system becomes unbootable through a registry editing problem, you can roll back to a working state.

The Windows Registry is a database that stores most if not all configuration information for Windows. Replacing the earlier INI file architecture of Windows 3.x, the registry allows you to have all your settings centrally accessible. Unfortunately when you put all your eggs in one basket, you risk losing the whole thing if you make a mistake when working with it.
The technique of backing up the registry is essentially to use the Windows Registry Editor, Regedit, to export all information to another file. You can export either a single key or tree branch, or the whole registry.
To begin, run Regedit from the start menu by clicking Start, Run and typing in Regedit and pressing the <enter> key. In the registry editor click on the "File" menu for Windows XP, or the "Registry" menu for Windows 2000/9x. and select Export. In the Export Registry File dialog box, navigate to a folder to save your file. In our example (Figure 2), we created a sub folder in our Temp directory. You'll need to name the file, in our case, "RegBack", plus the date.

By default, the setting will be to save "Selected Branch". It is important that you change the Export Range to "All", or you will not be saving the complete file. Click on Save. The process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or more, depending on the size of your registry and speed of your computer. The file is automatically given a .REG extension.

To Restore the registry backup, you reverse the procedure, clicking on Import, and following the prompts. For more information see the Microsoft Knowledge base article KB322756.

Automatic Screen Refresh Tips

When you are working on your local computer and want to refresh any changes in your system automatically. For example some times you are watching sports results, online Stock Exchange rates and any changes to your hard drive but these changes are not usually refreshed until you press the F5 key on your keyboard.

To refresh your screen automatically you should edit your system Registry. But the best technique to edit the windows registry keys, always export or backup the whole windows registry keys on backup drive before
editing. Because any mistake in Registry can cause serious problem in your computer to run properly.

Follow the given steps to change the updates automatically.

First click on Start button then
type Regedit in Run option.
In Registry Editor panel go to
the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Control / UpdateMode

Here in right hand side panel edit the DWORD value to be between 1 and 5.
Now restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

Title Meta Tag can hurt Google Rankings

It is no secret that the title meta-tag is one of the most important factors when it comes to on-page search engine optimization. Search engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN give quite a bit of importance to the title and description metatags in their algorithms. What many people, however, do not know that the same title tag could actually hurt your rankings, if you try to change it abruptly with a hope to improve your search engine rankings.

If you are currently ranking well with your page title, you should not risk with changing it to improve your rankings. You may often see your current Google rankings go down with such a change. I myself have experienced negative results when I tried to change the title tag for a site which was already ranking well. In fact, Google slammed the site with a -950 penalty.

Your page title is the main entry gate of search engines. Changing the title meta-tag could easily make your Google rankings fluctuate. If you change your title, Google and other search engines will take some time to reflect rankings for new titles. Especially, it would definitely look suspicious in the eyes of Google and other search engines if you have made the changes in the main title and description tags after a long time.

In short, changing the main title of your site, although it’s already ranking well is not a good idea. Instead of changing the page title to try to have improvements on certain keywords, it is better to work on adding content about those keyword phrases on your page, and add links with appropriate anchor text from sites with relevant content. Google always penalized over-optimization. Now it seems as if it frowns normal search engine optimization too. So the best policy is to optimize the website at the time of creation – Do it once, and do it right !

Although RSS is gaining a lot of traction as a tool for online publishing the vast majority of Internet users is not familiar with the technology. Below you will find the first part of a very good RSS Tutorial created by Mark Nottingham.

Think about all of the information that you access on the Web on a day-to-day basis; news headlines, search results, “What’s New”�, job vacancies, and so forth. A large amount of this content can be thought of as a list; although it probably isn’t in HTML list elements, the information is list-oriented.
Most people need to track a number of these lists, but it becomes difficult once there are more than a handful of sources. This is because they have to go to each page, load it, remember how it’s formatted, and find where they last left off in the list.

RSS is an XML-based format that allows the syndication of lists of hyperlinks, along with other information, or metadata, that helps viewers decide whether they want to follow the link.
This allows peoples’ computers to fetch and understand the information, so that all of the lists they’re interested in can be tracked and personalized for them. It is a format tha is intended for use by computers on behalf of people, rather than being directly presented to them (like HTML).

To enable this, a Web site will make a feed, or channel, available, just like any other file or resource on the server. Once a feed is available, computers can regularly fetch the file to get the most recent items on the list. Most often, people will do this with an aggregator, a program that manages a number of lists and presents them in a single interface.
Feeds can also be used for other kinds of list-oriented information, such as syndicating the content itself (often weblogs) along with the links. However, this tutorial focuses on the use of RSS for syndication of links.

5 PC Security Tips

The list of PC security products never ends. For every name that drops off, two more jump on. In fact, determining the best security hardware and software is a full-time job. Sometimes, you just want to throw up your hands and take your chances.
Maybe I'm just a cockeyed optimist, but I think you can stay safe without spending all your spare time doing research, installing updates, and generally becoming a PC-security expert. Here are five relatively easy ways to improve your security.

Use the firewall that's closest at hand
In the computer industry, the reputation of a product, service, or Web site is just about worthless. Yesterday's best firewall, ad blocker, spam buster, virus spotter, or spyware cleaner is today's bust.
Maybe the product got bought and the new owners aren't as conscientious about updates as the previous ones. Or the service's management team decides to go for profits and skimp on support, updates, and enhancements. There are lots of reasons why a good product goes sour, and the computer industry has seen nearly all of them.
So if you can't go by reputation, how do you choose a security product? One way is to go with the tools you've already got. Windows' security is roundly criticized, but the fact is, it's better than it used to be, and third-party security products have their own shortcomings.
Last February, I recommended that you use a third-party firewall rather than the one built into Windows. Six months earlier, I suggested that you pass on the third-party tools and stick with the Windows Firewall despite its shortcomings.
So which side of the fence am I on now? The simple side. The fact is, any third-party security tool complicates your setup. It's not difficult to find weaknesses in the Windows Firewall, but it's safe enough for most PC users, and it's much better than using no software firewall at all.
My previous post included links to information on Microsoft's TechNet site providing technical details of the Windows Firewall, tips for customizing the Windows Firewall, and help troubleshooting the firewall in XP and Vista.

Don't hesitate to try another free antivirus program
Just last week, I switched antivirus programs on my XP test system--for the umpteenth time. Something was slowing the system down, and after defragging the hard drive and doing other standard maintenance tasks, the machine's performance didn't improve as I expected it to.
Rather than go through a bunch of diagnostic tests, I simply uninstalled the system's antivirus tool and downloaded a competing package. The old and new programs were both free, and the switch didn't take much time to complete. The topper? The XP machine's performance perked up immediately.
Two antivirus programs that are free for home use and that are currently highly rated are Avast Home Edition and Avira AntiVir. You'll find a list of dozens of antivirus programs for Windows on this Download.com page.

Change your password...again
I hate those "your password will expire in x days" warnings as much as you do, but one of the simplest ways to protect yourself is by keeping your passwords fresh. Last year, I described the Ten Password Commandments, one of which was to devise a password-creation strategy that's all your own.
Just two months ago, I complained about the shortcomings of passwords as our primary security option, though I concluded that there's nothing better, for now. Lots of people swear by password managers such as RoboForm, but then you have yet another third-party app complicating matters.
For me, it's simpler just to devise a new password based on my unique, inimitable password-creation system, which I share with no one. No need to write it down, enter it in an online form, or encrypt it in a master-password file. Temporary amnesia, well, that's another matter.

For secure e-mail, use encryption
You would think that encrypting e-mail would be a breeze, but doing so is anything but. You and the recipient have to deal with digital certificates, public and private keys, and any number of other time-eating preparations and precautions.
The simplest way I know of to encrypt your e-mail is by using the Mozilla Foundation's Thunderbird with the Enigmail extension. Jason Thomas provides step-by-step instructions in this tutorial on the Lifehacker site.
Gmail users can secure their e-mail communications by enabling the service's built-in encryption. To do so, click the Settings button at the top-right of the main Gmail screen, scroll to the bottom of the General tab, select "Always use https," and click Save Changes.

Keep your browser up-to-date
Most people will tell you that the Mozilla Foundation's Firefox browser is the safest way to surf, but a recent report from Google Switzerland and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology found that "(u)sing the most recent version of a browser will lower the risk associated with drive-by-downloads and other Web-based attacks, which start by targeting the browser."
The report cites Google Chrome's silent updates as the best way to ensure that your browser is protected. The researchers also laud Chrome's lack of a way for users to disable its silent-update feature. Some people will object to software being downloaded to and installed on their system without their knowledge, but the fact is, these behind-the-scenes updates are the best way to keep you safe from the Internet bad guys

4 Cool Firefox Tools That Are Not Addons

Firefox has a plethora of extensions and themes available that enhances its capabilities and appearance. They get all the attention all the time.

Let’s today shift the focus slightly towards a few external Firefox tools that can be used to optimize Firefox:

SpeedyFox

SpeedyFox is a cool little Firefox tool which lets you optimize Firefox for speed. Firefox stores a lot of information in an sqlite database, which grows over time.

SpeedyFox takes care of any database fragmentation and thus makes Firefox zippier. You might not see a difference if you try SpeedyFox on a fresh Firefox install, it works great after you have been using Firefox for some time. Just close Firefox, run SpeedyFox and point it to the profile you want to optimize.

Silence of the Foxes

This simple Firefox tool lets you create custom Firefox installers which you can use to deploy Firefox’s preconfigured settings and add-ons. It unpacks the original Firefox setup, lets you add your own extensions, themes, preferences and then repacks to give you a silent installation package.

Although this Firefox tool was designed a long time back for a now obsolete version of Firefox, it worked pretty well for me. Download and fire it up, choose a new project and point the application to Firefox Setup that you downloaded from the web. It will extract the files, detect your Firefox profiles and show you the files that it will add to the silent installation package.

By default it adds your preferences and bookmarks, if you want to add themes and extensions you will have to download the .jar and .xpi files and add them to the files to be added to the installer. Once everything is done, it will create a file sfirefox.exe which is your new silent installation customized package. You might want to go through the readme file for some advanced tinkering.

FirePasswordViewer

Firefox can remember the login details for your favorite websites. All these details are encrypted and then stored in Firefox’s profile database. FirePasswordViewer lets you view these details for any Firefox profile you point it to. You can use it to get back passwords you might have forgotten and some other purposes (use your imagination here).

The Firefox tool will not work if you have enabled and set the Master Password. So it might be a good idea to set your Firefox Master password to protect yourself from such hacks. It can be set via the Security tab inside Tools > Options in Firefox.

FireMaster

Just when you thought setting the master password protected all the sensitive sign-on information, we present FireMaster. FireMaster can be used to recover the master password in case you forget it. However, like always, there are inherent limitations as with any password recovery tool – FireMaster uses a combination of dictionary and brute force attacks so it would take a very long time to recover any moderately strong password.
