Acer today announced its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered Liquid Glow Smartphone which will be showcased in MCW 2012 along with Acer CloudMobile. Dropbox Android App offers automatic photo upload feature

Dropbox unveiled its new app auto-upload feature for Android smartphones which is now available on Android market and promised to release Apple iOS version shortly. User will get 500MB of storage after their first automatic upload and can receive up to a total of 3 GB extra for free.

The Dropbox mobile apps can automatically upload your photos and videos to Dropbox using Wi-Fi or your data plan. They’re all uploaded at original size and full quality, and saved to a private folder in your Dropbox called Camera Uploads where they’re ready to view or share.

Apache 2.4 Released, First Major Release in Six Years

LG to unveil Optimus 3D Max at MCW 2012

LG announced that it will publicly unveil the Optimus 3D Max (Optimus 3D Cube) at the 2012 Mobile World Congress (MWC). ZTE Mimosa X smartphone Officially Announced

In less than 24 hours, ZTE is back with its third Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device Mimosa X. It is the first smartphone to be powered both by the NVIDIA Tegra application processor and its Icera modem, which came to NVIDIA through its Icera acquisition in mid-2011.

LG reveals L-Series Trio - LG Optimus L3, L5 and L7

LG unveiled its L-Series Trio - Optimus L3, Optimus L5 and Optimus L7 ahead of MWC 2012. The Optimus L3, with a 3.2-inch display, will first launch in Europe this March. This smartphone will be followed by Optimus L5 with a 4.0-inch display and Optimus L7 featuring a 4.3-inch screen in the first half of the year running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Integrated email client with a powerful unified inbox: With BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 you have the option to use a unified inbox that consolidates all messages in one place, including messages from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as personal and work email accounts.
Social Integration with Calendar and Contacts apps: The built-in calendar harnesses information from social networks and makes it available where and when users need it. Contact cards are also dynamically populated with updated information from Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to create a consolidated view of contacts.

Barnes & Noble announced 8GB NOOK Tablet for $199 which includes all the features of NOOK Tablet – 16GB but with 8GB of on-board memory, 512MB of RAM. In addition to that company also slashed NOOK Color price to $169. Isn’t that great? The 8GB NOOK Tablet is available today both online and Barnes & Noble stores and will join other retailers in coming weeks

ZTE announces two LTE Android 4.0 smartphones - PF200 and N910

ZTE unveiled product names and key specs for two LTE Android 4.0 smartphones that'll be shown off in MCW Barcelona (which will begin next week). The first one is PF200 which will have a 4.3 inch QHD capacitive touch screen, 8MP camera and 1080p front facing camera for video calling. The handset will work across all the main LTE, UMTS and GSM spectrums, and will come with Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, WiFi, A-GPS, digital living network alliance (DLNA) compatibility, mobile high-definition link (MHL) for connecting to home audio and video devices, and near field communications (NFC) capability.

The second one is the N910 low-end device, work across LTE FDD, CDMA and EVDO spectrums. It has a WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive touch screen, with 5MP autofocus and flash camera with a 1080p front facing camera for video calling. Other features includes GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and DLNA capability.

No word yet on pricing and availability.

7-inch Eden Tab coming to Japan next week

Kingsoft's Japanese subsidiary Mobile In Style announced the 7-inch Eden Tab, which is co developed by Xiaomi will be up for sale in Japan from February 25, 2012. Eden Tab is powered by a Samsung S5PC210 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU, running on Android 2.3.3 (will be upgraded soon to Android 4.0 ICS), comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. This tablet also features WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, and a microSD slot will cost 29,800 Yen.

LG Unveils 5-inch Optimus Vu

LG unveiled the 5-inch Optimus Vu smartphone/tablet to give some kind of competition to Samsung Galaxy Note. The Optimus Vu will be introduced in Korea in March is LTE capable running Android 2.3 Gingerbread (an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is already in the works) on 1.5GHz dual-core processor, featuring 5-inch (1024x768) IPS display, a large 32GB memory, 8MP camera with AF LED Flash (rear), 1.3MP (front), HDMI, DLNA and a large 2,080mAh capacity battery.

The Optimus Vu boasts unmatched productivity with its unique built-in QuickClip hotkey allows users to conveniently capture screenshots and memos with a single push. Jotting notes is also possible with a finger or with the dedicated Rubberdium pen. LG brings Optimus LTE Tag offers NFC

LG today announced its newest addition to its LTE smartphone line-up for the Korean market, the Optimus LTE Tag. The Optimus LTE Tag gets its name from a unique new feature, LG Tag+, which uses NFC (Near Field Communication) to communicate with special stickers or "tags" that can be programmed to automatically change the phone's settings. Swiping a tag upon entering the office could put the Optimus LTE Tag in silent mode and activate Wi-Fi. A tag on the car dashboard could be programmed to turn on Bluetooth, GPS and raise the volume.

With Slim and sleek design, the Optimus LTE Tag is available in white. Running a 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with the option to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich later) and 4.3-inch IPS display.
