Il Mistero dell'Attesa

Carissimi,

l'uomo del nuovo millennio, l'uomo che si dice “post-moderno”, è sospeso tra attesa e non attesa. Per certi versi egli non è più capace di attesa, o perché vive e si accontenta dell'immediato, o perché è consapevole delle sue molte realizzazioni, di tanti progetti divenuti realtà grazie alla sua intraprendenza.

Eppure, se mettiamo insieme tante manifestazioni, vediamo che quest'uomo non ha fatto grandi passi in avanti rispetto all'uomo primitivo: si ferma ancora a interrogare gli astri, affida a fattucchiere i suoi mali, ricorre ai vari maghi per avere un supplemento di energia e superare quei limiti entro i quali si trova chiuso, fugge in mondi artificiali, che le varie droghe procurano e le agenzie turistiche offrono in quantità. Senza saperlo porta nel cuore esperimenta giornalmente non essere alla sua portata, nelle possibilità della sua intelligenza e della sua forza. Tale attesa di salvezza è destinata a rimanere per sempre nel cuore dell'uomo come vuoto incolmabile, un grido che nessuno raccoglie?

Conosciamo la storia dei due mendicanti che sono in attesa di un certo Godot, dal quale sperano una sistemazione. Di lui, però, non sanno nulla e nemmeno conoscono la data e il luogo dell'appuntamento. Consumano il tempo aspettando. Improvvisamente arriva un ragazzo con un messaggio in cui Godot annuncia che arriverà l'indomani. Ma il giorno dopo giunge lo stesso messaggio: domani! E i due poveracci continuano nella loro assurda attesa.

Qualcuno potrebbe vedere in questi due poveracci di Aspettando Godot di Samuel Beckett la situazione anche dell'uomo “postmoderno”: un condannato, come l'uomo del precedente millennio, ad aspettare un incontro che mai avverrà . Sarebbe un vero dramma assurdo, un annaspare in un deserto senza mai scoprire nulla, senza arrivare a una qualche oasi, un continuo macinare speranze irrealizzabili, un desiderare e fare progetti che hanno la consistenza del castello di sabbia costruito in riva al mare.

L'attesa, se non vuole essere insensata, esige qualcuno atteso, qualcuno che finalmente viene, si fa incontrare... In questo senso l'attesa si trasforma in un andare incontro, in un tenersi pronti, vigilanti, desti... L'attesa viene vissuta come un movimento, un dinamismo, come un'ansia gioiosa. L'attesa è la trama stessa della vita. Essa la sottende di forza e di debolezza. Impaziente e placida, l'attesa accompagna la vita in tutte le sue ricerche, in tutti i suoi incontri. Ne raccoglie i segreti. E’ di volta in volta il suo freno e il suo trampolino di lancio, la sua memoria e il fremito del suo cuore... L'attesa è in qualche modo completamente noi stessi, con le nostre qualità e i nostri difetti, con le nostre certezze e i nostri interrogativi, con i nostri bisogni e i nostri desideri (E. Debuyst).

L'attesa rende l'uomo sempre giovane, sul piede di partenza, con l'antica audacia del folle volo. Si alimenta del presentimento di una novità imminente, che è già alle porte e che non bisogna lasciarsi scappare. Gli occhi si fanno attenti, la mano pronta: tutto è teso verso il futuro, con l'intima certezza che sta per arrivare la luce del mattino, che potremo incontrare Lui, finalmente!

E sarà festa.

Mauro Moretti: incompetenza e arroganza

Questo signore, ad delle FS, è incompetente ed arrogante. Persone come lui, nonostante prendono i loro grossi stipendi a carico nostro, non fanno il loro lavoro, e diventano la rovina dell'Italia. Si deve dimettere e chiedere scuse a tutti gli utenti delle FS. In particolare ai viaggiatori pugliesi, i più colpiti da questa mancanza di organizzazione, e perchè non dirlo, mancanza di umanità, da parte sua e i suoi dipendenti FS. In una giornata di viaggio sono stato testimone e vittima di troppi disguidi.

Mi permetto di parlare direttamente con Lei, visto che per primo si è rivolta a me come un suo cliente:

- non si poteva permettere di chiedere a noi di premunirci di coperte e vito: io direi che era lui a dover prevedere i problemi dovuti a un cambio del meteo non improvisso.

- signor Moretti, si poteva rimandare la gente a casa prima di fargli restare al freddo in stazione per più di 5 ore.

- con i super sistemi d'informazione di FS doveva avvertirci delle cancellazioni.

- Lei stesso ci doveva portare il tè caldo sul marciapiedi.

- Lei si doveva fare in four per noi, i suoi clienti e datori di lavoro.

- Lei poteva fare tanto.

Adesso faccia il galant'uomo e si dimetta.

O al meno chiuda quella bocca piena di arroganza e menzogne.

Perchè a favore suo non c'è nulla.

Vedrà come tutta questa storia diventerà peggiore col tempo.

When I was living in Colombia back in 2001, before even thinking about coming to Italy, I kept questioning myself about the future of Italian democracy after the second victory of Berlusconi (he had been Prime Minister in 1994). At the time he was owner of Mediaset (still is), the media empire, and with his election gained legitimate power over RAI, the State owned media group.

By 2006 for the first time in Italian republican history (until 1946 it was a monarchy) a government coalition completed a legislatura (5 year term for the parliament to govern) under Berlusconi's guide, surviving the tensions that could disintegrate it and provoke the immediate call for elections, due to the parliamentary system.

Months prior to the 2006 elections, he changed the voting system with a new legge elettorale nicknamed 'La Legge Porcata' that would make very difficult for any new coalition to obtain a true and painless political control in parliament. Nevertheless, the left-wing coalition won the political elections, but with a very small advantage. The Porcellum was created.

The new left-oriented coalition guided by Romano Prodi was ruled by permanent contrast between progressive conservative ideologies and the more cold-war-rhetoric orientated communists. 'La Legge Porcata' was a complete success for Berlusconi's intentions, and the survival of Prodi's government was always in danger. But not only the Cavaliere's tactic helped the early downfall of Prodi: incoherence between what was promised during election period in 2006 and then never accomplished (establish a new political style that could culturally and economically modernize Italy while in the meantime the hard-gained welfare was to be reinforced in means of job stability for the most), demonstrated unskilled management of Napoli's junk problems and Alitalia's sale, disagreements with the Unions, the very unpopular indulto that pardoned assassins and thieves permitting them to exit prison before time, the attempt to block the famous Beppe Grillo's blog and therefore establishing censorship and control over the free and democratic diffusion of ideas over Italian internet, and most of all SO MANY TAXES!!! could be listed as the causes of the defeat.

The treacherous Matador for Prodi's coalition came from his own ranks, and two weeks ago early elections were won again by Berlusconi. Popular discontentment gave him an unopposed victory that is destined to be the total defeat of hard-left parties in Italy: not even one communist was elected in parliament.

It seems that for now the only one that has 'the touch' for handling power in a country where everybody wants to command is Il Cavaliere-Condottiere.
