I have experienced one benefit of glasses that comes in handy when climbing trees: not getting poked in the eye by branches. At least not head-on.

I think kids stopped climbing trees because it takes too much effort. That, and the lack of biodiversity (read: climbing trees) being planted in cookie-cutter neighborhoods. Maples are terrible climbing trees, unless you have a good ladder.

Bastard. Now I have to come out of the woodwork.

I'll post my 7 on Sunday; too much going on 'til then I think.

My one caveat is that I am not sure that I will pass this meme along. I'll participate with my picks, but my branch DIES WITH ME. Unless I change my mind.

Wahaha wonderful post. I just loved the claymation. What's the name of it? I'd love to link it on my blog. It's hilarious and represents so much of the jabber I've had to listen to in all my years in academia ;)
