sort off commands ... but i wouldn't say its pure command pattern either

anyway, the exact type of pattern that I described academic... the point is the polymorphism and modularity of the damn thing

Nigger, what you have isn't CoR. You just have a bunch of wired commands ( from command pattern)

Yes, I thought about this. However, I felt that creating that extra class to hide the chaining from the caller would require me creating that extra class without any real practical difference. So i decided to just keep the loop in the caller.

Had a quick look at your example & wikipedia. I think there's a bit of difference in the way the client code invoke the handler.

I was thinking more like this:

https://github.com/alexwibowo/Pattern-Studio/blob/master/src/test/java/org/isolution/chainOfResponsibility/ChainOfResponsibilityClientTest.java

i.e. the client is not aware that there are a line of handlers.

If you don't like resizing windows, a tiling window manager can also be very useful. I use xmonad currently, and I used to use wmii. I love not having to worry about window sizing on a regular basis.

            <p>
when i create a branch i do this:

create new branch:
git checkout -b my_new_branch

push branch to origin:
git push origin my_new_branch

simple as that.

all the config stuff you had going there, im not even sure what it means. i suppose its a more convoluted way to things, or the environment is not set up correctly.

sure an svn copy seems easier, what you are missing is an example of the source and destination, which looks something like this (from google hehe):

svn copy http://svn.example.com/path/to/repository/trunk http://svn.example.com/path/to/repository/tags/snapshot-of-trunk

i dont see that as simple. plus there is the other end of creating branches which youve neglected. merging! git is kinder to use when merging needs to happen :)

I watched Rango over the weekend. I was expecting an amusing kids movie with lots of predictable plot elements. Instead it was a rather odd movie with many movie references that kids will never even know are there.

It really was too much talking.... not enough action...

the only way a movie like that was ever gonna work was if it scrapped the talking for all out action. like 'cloverfield' or 'black hawk down'.

instead, it just got lost in hugely long and cliched dialogs that was excruciating to watch

I saw the movie over the weekend.

It wasn't too bad. But it wasn't what I was expecting from the TV ads.
Most of the movie centred around a squad of marines that were in LA, rather than the "bigger picture" that the ads seem to portray.
But the special effects were quite good, and the story line ok, if a little clichéd.
