I still have one smaller project that needs work in the immediate future. My loving partner (for whom I forsook my frozen home for the wet but milder home in Seattle) Sarah is a kung fu master and runs her own school, Shaolin Center of Seattle. We’re redoing the kid’s manual. That shouldn’t take too long then I’ll be moving on to Alice.

I wanted everyone to know, though, that I haven’t abandoned my girls. They are always in my mind.

It’s been quite a few years, both good and bad. I got divorced, had a debilitating illness (I’m better now), met someone online, spent six months with her in Seattle, went back to Canada to start the immigration process, came back to Seattle and got married a couple months ago. My computer was destroyed during the move so I had to go through a headache of insurance stubbornness. I’ve rebuilt my computer, luckily the hard drives were not damaged even though I did have all my important files backed up, and I am ready to get back to work. Currently I’m working on a picture book and once that’s complete I’ll be focusing on some Alice. I mentioned before that it won’t be a daily comic strip, but more like a series of books that will be released online page by page as well as a an actual book you can purchase. It seems the best solution due to my schedule.

So I will keep you posted. Alice, Dot, and Joanne will be back. I promise.

I’m sorry I left everyone in the dark. I could bring up several reasons such as illness and moving, etc, but that doesn’t excuse me from not keeping you all informed. I haven’t abandoned Alice as much as it appears to the contrary. If any of you have been with me since the beginning you’ll know updating the strip has never been my strong point. I’ve been mulling this over and I’ve decided that when I come back I won’t promise to have a set schedule, that’s doomed to failure. I will be doing book length stories that will be published online as I finish them. It’s the only solution. I can’t say when the first book will be published since I’m busy on a kid’s book at the moment. Be sure to follow me for updates at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr or Google +.
