Finally, ski!

Setelah 3 kali berada di Korea pada musim dingin, akhirnya pada tanggal 22 Januari kemarin mimpiku untuk bermain ski tercapai juga. Cukup susah mengajak orang untuk bermain ski ini karena biaya yang dikeluarkan memang tidak murah, sekitar 100 ribu won (800 ribu rupiah). Tetapi dibanding ongkos penerbangan ke Korea atau negeri lain yang memungkinkan bermain ski, aku rasa biaya sejumlah itu cukup setimpal

Berenam dengan teman-teman yang lain, akhirnya kita memilih Yang Ji Pine Ski Resort sebagai tempat tujuan kita. Melalui seorang rekan kerja di kantor yang asli Korea, kita booking tiket masuk ke sana sekaligus bis jemputan dari Suwon. Sesuai waktu yang ditentukan, pada hari minggu kita keluar dari hotel jam 7 pagi menuju Suwon Station, dimana bis jemputan akan berada. Bis jemputannya dijadwalkan datang pukul setengah 9, tetapi sampai jam setengah 10 bisnya tidak kunjung datang -.- Akhirnya kita mengambil inisiatif bertanya pada Tourist Information cara lain menuju ke tujuan dan naik bis umum.

Sampai di tujuan, kita bingung kok tidak ada salju sama sekali. Tetapi setelah bertanya ke bagian pos informasi, ternyata kita masih harus naik lagi ke atas. Petugasnya kemudian memanggilkan dua buah taksi untuk mengantar kita ke atas. Dan yeah, kita bisa melihat saljunya Tetapi sebelum itu, kita terlebih menukarkan reservasi kita menjadi tiket dan kupon makan. Yup, kita memutuskan untuk makan siang dulu karena akhirnya kita sampai di sana pukul 1 siang dan stamina kita sudah lumayan goyah gara-gara bis yang tidak datang tadi.

Setelah makan, kita langsung bergegas menyewa peralatan ski ^^ Dan, mari berpose dulu hehehe.. Kalau kata mereka, yang penting pose dulu, masalah nanti bisa main ski atau nggak gyahahaha Eniwai, akhirnya kita langsung mencoba bermain ski. Dan tidak mudah ternyata kawan! Sekilas kita cukup perlu menancapkan tongkat dan menarik tubuh kita, tapi tidak semudah itu. Kita akhirnya mencoba tempat paling mudah. Di sana ada eskalator berjalan yang akan membawa kita ke atas dan kita bisa meluncur dari sana.

Landai, tapi tetap susah.. -.-

Hasil luncur pertamaku adalah mengerikan! Disaat yang lain jatuh, aku malah meluncur lurus wush wush, tapi ini justru jauh lebih mengerikan karena aku tidak tahu cara mengerem gyahahaha.. Bayangkan kamu sedang naik motor tapi remnya blong. Aku cuma bisa teriak-teriak watch out, watch outttt! Dan untungnya, walaupun hampir menabrak beberapa orang, aku bisa berhenti dengan selamat. Hosh, hosh..

Aku langsung bingung dan melihat ke bagian course pro. Ternyata, kita harus meluncur ke kiri dan ke kanan bergantian agar kecepatannya tidak terlalu kencang. Yosh, berbekal kesimpulan itu, akhirnya aku mencoba lagi dan kali ini lumayan berhasil Aku lebih bisa mengendalikan kecepatan. Dan tampaknya teman-teman yang lain juga cukup kesulitan untuk menguasai ski ini. Dari pengalamanku, jika kamu pernah bermain ice skating, itu cukup membantu untuk belajar bermain ski.

Setelah bosan di lintasan pemula, kita berenam berencana pergi ke lintasan paling tinggi. Bukan bermaksud gaya, tapi cuma ingin mencoba Sky Lift sekaligus melihat pemandangan dari puncak. Akhirnya berdua bersama Yudis, kita kloter pertama yang naik lift. Tapi setelah menunggu sekian lama, kita bingung kenapa yang lain belum datang. Sambil menunggu kita foto-foto dulu di puncak. Tapi ketika akan turun naik lift, kita panik karena ternyata lift itu hanya untuk searah naik dan hanya kasus khusus yang boleh turun menggunakan lift itu. Glek.. Padahal lintasan ski dari atas itu curam sekali, lihat deh fotonya..

Lihatlah, betapa kecil orang-orang di ujung sana.. @_@

Akhirnya aku mencoba turun sedikit dan hasilnya fatal. Aku tidak bisa berbelok kiri kanan karena kemiringannya cukup tinggi. Hasilnya aku meluncur kencang dan memutuskan menjatuhkan diri agar bisa berhenti, akibatnya tulang rusukku dan pergelangan tangan kanan lumayan sakit. Dan, kita akhirnya memutuskan berjalan pelan-pelan kebawah sambil pegangan pagar -.- Tapi karena di sekeliling kita pada jago (ya iyalah, lintasan advanced gitu lho T.T), kita jadi mencolok perhatian dan didatangi petugas patroli. Kita disuruh memakai papan ski kita. Karena tidak punya pilihan lain, akhirnya kita menurut dan langsung jatuh -.- Petugasnya pun menyerah dan menyuruh kita jalan sambil mereka membawakan papan ski kita. Fiuh, karena papan ski kita dibawakan, kita bisa berjalan kebawah dengan lebih mudah. Bayangkan orang bermain ski memakai tongkat, tapi jalan kaki, begitulah nasib kita waktu berjalan turun ^^;;

Dan, peristiwa itu menutup pengalaman ski kita hari itu Besoknya, kita semua pada tepar di kamar hotel ^^;;

Ah, lain kali jadi pengen nyoba Snow Board, sepertinya jauh lebih keren Moga-moga bisa kesampaian deh

Salah satu komponen penting dalam membuat resolusi yang sering dilupakan seseorang adalah mereview bagaimana hasilnya pada akhir tahun.  Nah, sepertinya tidak ada waktu yang lebih tepat lagi untuk mereview resolusi selain pada tanggal 31 Desember bukan? Let’s see..

Resolusi 2011

Menurunkan berat badan
Tahun lalu resolusi ini gagal total, bukannya turun malah naik -_- Tahun ini harus lebih baik. Minimal mendekati angka 70 deh ^^

Hmmm.. Sebenarnya pada saat ke Korea kemarin, resolusi ini sudah tercapai sih, beratku mencapai 70 koma. Tapiiii, berhubunga waktu balik ke Indonesia aku muntab dan makan abis-abisan, balik lagi deh ke arah 75 -_- Yah, anggap saja sedikit berhasil deh ^^;;

Melunasi cicilan-cicilan
Yup, punya tanggungan itu nggak enak. Moga-moga dikasih rezeki buat ngelunasin cicilan-cicilan

Mengingat almarhum bapak mempunyai sakit jantung, alangkah baiknya jika aku melakukan langkah preventif dengan lebih banyak makan sayur, mengurangi makanan berkolesterol, mengurangi konsumsi garam dan cabe serta berolahraga lebih teratur ^^

Failed.. Bahkan aku merasa jantungku akhir-akhir ini terasa aneh..

Well.. If everything going according to the plan, next Saturday i will go back to Indonesia. Yippie! And maybe this is the perfect time to post my journey in here. Since i already couple of times went here, i’m rarely going out because i already visited most of the place. But this time, there’s a place that i have yet to visit, Nami Island or Namiseom! Namiseom is a tiny half-moon shaped island located in Chuncheon, South Korea, formed as it was inundated by the rising water of the North Han River as the result of the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam in 1944. You can read the details in here.

Anyway, Nami Island is getting really popular because the famous Korean Drama, Winter Sonata, is taken place there. Since the drama getting a high rate, this island also got many visitor as well. The island itself, thanks to the view, is a really nice place for a couple or a family to visit and take a walk. However, if you live in Suwon, the trip to Nami Island is kinda long. We going out from the hotel around 10.30 and we arrive at the nearest train station on Nami at 12.45. After resting a while and walk to the port, we arrived at 13.30.

When i saw this for the first time, i’m starting to hesitate ^^;;

Actually there are two ways to go into Nami Island, by the Ferry and by the Zip-Wire. The second option is a lot more expensive, but we decided to try it out while we’re here. The Zip-Wire’s queue is quite long. The guy there said that we should wait until 15.00 before our turn arrive. So, we take a little walk around the port and eat our lunch pack.

And here we go! It’s quite terrifying because i got a little phobia of the high place. But it turns out it’s not that scary. The ride is nice, however, it feels too short, only 30 seconds ride compared to the 1.5 hours of waiting time.

We decide to go home at 18.00, but then a problem arise, the ferry queue is reaching the middle of the island -_-;; So we must wait and walked slowly on the queue until 19.00 before we enter the Ferry. We got the 20.00 train and arrived at the Suwon Station at 22.45. After getting some food, we finally arrive at our hotel at 23.45. And you can guess, i’m having a hard time on Monday ^^;;  Anyway, if you wanna go to the Nami Island on Autumn, the best time is around the third week of October. Later than that, most of the leaves already gone. Indonesia, here i come!^^

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. Who is the one that got away? I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a longtime partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing. It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little nice ties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequentials become dealbreakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be the most perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want, and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come.

Hopefully you’re single but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter. All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about. You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, “What if they were here today?” You’ll wonder, “What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?”

That’s what the one that got away is, the biggest “What if?” you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that you’re already with the one you’re with and this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it.Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a “might have been,” but it happens… Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing. But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different.

What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple…find him, find her. Because the very existence of a “one that got away” means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one? Ask him out to coffee, ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be “the one that got away” as well for the person who is your “the one that got away.” You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference.

If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow and you know, I’m thinking, it would be a great feeling, in the end, to be able to say to someone, “Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away.”

Akhirnya tiba juga kita penghujung tahun 2011. Tahun yang menurut saya penuh gejolak hidup bagaikan grafik IHSG ^^;; Setengah tahun pertama bagaikan masa keemasan saya dan setengah tahun kedua giliran berbagai macam duka yang melintas. Tapi karena tema kali ini adalah tentang entrepreneur, duka saya pada semester kedua tahun ini adalah karena saya harus kehilangan dua usaha saya yang sudah saya rintis beberapa lama.

Salah satu usaha yang harus kututup adalah sebuah blog yang sudah well-established. Pendapatannya mungkin hanya sekitar 8% dari pendapatan total saya sebulan. Tapi itu sudah cukup untuk bisa memberikan sebuah pekerjaan kepada seorang teman. Sayangnya, beberapa bulan yang lalu Google Adsense membanned situs itu, sehingga untuk kedua kalinya dalam tahun ini saya pun harus mempensiunkan seseorang.

Cukup shock sebenarnya.. Karena saya merasa tidak melanggar ToS dan selalu berada di jalur putih (banyak rekan-rekan publisher indonesia yang menggunakan Black Hat Technique, but let’s not talk about that).

Selain itu, blog ini merupakan salah satu blog yang saya proyeksikan menjadi masa depan usaha blog saya. Saya memulai blog ini sejak sekitar 2-3 tahun lalu dan baru saja membuahkan hasil tahun ini. Blog ini ibarat sebuah bibit tanaman yang dipupuk dan dirawat sampai menjadi pohon besar yang berbuah, tetapi akhirnya harus ditebang. Jadi hal ini membuat saya lumayan terpukul. Itulah sebabnya saya selalu berusaha keras untuk menciptakan usaha yang tidak bergantung kepada pihak ketiga.

Dan, sebenarnya saya sudah berhasil menciptakan usaha itu. Yap! Sejak tahun lalu (2010) saya mendirikan sebuah usaha kecil -kecilan yang berkembang menjadi lumayan besar. Bahkan akhirnya menjadi salah satu sumbangsih utama pendapatan saya tahun ini, mencapai 20 %. Bahkan pada awal tahun ini saya sempat berpikir untuk resign, melanjutkan S2 sambil terus mengembangkan usaha ini.

Usaha ini bisa dibilang merupakan langkah riil pertama saya yang memberanikan saya mengubah kata-kata calon entrepreneur menjadi entrepreneur pada halaman utama blog saya. Usaha ini memberikan banyak sekali pelajaran berharga, terutama dalam mendirikan sebuah usaha. Saya mendapatkan banyak sekali relasi dan pengalaman berharga. Dan sebagaimana layaknya usaha, saya juga harus menghadapi beberapa masalah, seperti penipuan dan hacking. Dan saya beruntung mempunyai partner yang sangat hebat dan melengkapi semua kekurangan saya dalam menjalankan usaha ini Looking forward to make a new business with her again ^^

Anyway, karena sesuatu hal, akhirnya saya memutuskan agar usaha ini hibernasi sampai waktu yang belum bisa ditentukan. Sayang memang, tapi terkadang kita harus membuat keputusan sulit demi kepentingan yang lebih besar. Mungkin merupakan salah satu keputusan paling sulit yang saya buat sebagai seorang entrepreneur. But live must goes on rite?

Tapi walaupun saya sendiri berkata seperti itu, tidak mudah jika kamu harus kehilangan dua usaha yang kamu rintis dengan susah payah dalam waktu dekat. Bahkan rencana awal saya untuk bertapa di Korea sambil menciptakan usaha baru gagal total karena saya terdistraksi oleh suatu hal ^^;; But i think now everything is OK. Saya siap masuk ke dalam kawah candradimuka lagi sebelum akhirnya keluar dengan sesuatu yang baru

Tentu muncul pertanyaan, bagaimana cara membagi waktu dengan pekerjaan utama? Jujur saja, ini masalah utama bagi seorang pekerja kantoran yang ingin mempunyai usaha sampingan. Tapi jika anda bertanya, ini jawaban saya, sisihkan waktu yang anda pakai untuk browsing kaskus, chatting maupun facebook, maka anda akan kaget betapa banyak waktu yang bisa anda dapat Tentu saja saya tidak berkata itu tidak penting, bahkan saya sendiri terkadang mendedikasikan beberapa jam untuk bersosialisasi lewat media-media itu. Dan tentu saja bukan hanya hal itu yang akan tersita. Waktu tidur, waktu bermain, dan waktu sosialisasi pasti akan berkurang disertai dengan meningkatnya stress. Itu semua hal yang harus dibayar jika anda ingin mencapai beberapa hal dalam waktu bersamaan.

Jawaban lainnya adalah delegasi. Beberapa hal yang mungkin bisa mengganggu jam kerja anda di kantor sebisa mungkin di delegasikan. Karena bagaimanapun, kita harus profesional dalam pekerjaan kita. Dan ini yang saya pelajari dari ajaran Kiyosaki ^^ Pada masa awal-awal bekerja di perusahaan saya sekarang, saya bisa mendapatkan waktu luang di tengah-tengah pekerjaan, namun sejak 2 tahun terakhir, tingkat kesibukan di kantor meningkat lumayan tajam, sehingga mau tidak mau saya harus mendelegasikan pekerjaan sampingan saya jika tidak ingin mengganggu pekerjaan utama saya. Apalagi ketika saya di Korea seperti sekarang, bahkan hampir tidak ada waktu untuk sekedar browsing, karena saya malu dengan orang sini yang selalu bekerja dengan tekun.

And yeah, to do this you have to got a quite mental strength, otherwise you will get stressed, a lot.. But if you managed to do it, i think like the picture above, you will be a strong person who can made a difference. I guess that’s all folks, been keeping this on my mind for quite some time, but didn’t have the moment to pour it out. Let’s enjoy our last month of the year!

I hurt several women in the last few years.. And somehow, it’s all coming back to me lately ^^;; I’m forced to felt what’s they feel when i hurt them. And i realize that maybe this is my redemption.. And if you wondering, i already ask their forgiveness and they  forgave me.. But i guess the guilt is still staying there.. So, i felt kinda relieved when i got these karma.. Sure it’s hurt, but it helps me to move on without any burden..

And, i should thanks several people who helped me go through these.. Starting from him for always listening my stories ^^ Her for giving me the healthy advice, it really help gain my sense at that day ^^ Her, won’t talk much here, but thanks for everything ^^ And especially her.. Thank you for always be there for me.. It really means a lot to me..

Hello there.. Quite a time since i wrote something on this blog. Actually, there’s many thing that happen in my life recently, but most of them is something that you can call bad news. Well, that’s that. Don’t wanna take anyone into the my own misery. Let’s just hope that tomorrow will be better than today

Anyway, i wanna share a song which i really fond lately. It’s from the Owl City, a music group which consist only one person, Adam Young. He started this group while he is suffering from Imsomnia on his basement. He also has Asperger’s Syndrome, which make him socially introvert but has such a large vocabulary (which is good for making lyrics). In this song, he is performing together with Breanne Düren (i really love her voice!). Enough the talk, here you go, ~ The Saltwater Room ~

And lastly, i’m back in Korea for a business trip. That was not on my plan, but let’s get it done anyway. Cheers!

Selesai mengurus ayam, saatnya mengurus taman yang kering sentosa diterpa hawa panas Cikarang. Selang pun kutancapkan ke keran depan, dan di sinilah rumahku mulai ngambek.. Mungkin karena ototku terlalu kuat *halah*, kerannya tiba-tiba putus dan naasnya potongan kerannya masih tertinggal di pipa air. Sebenarnya sih aku punya keran cadangan, tapi sebelum bisa memasang keran baru, aku harus bisa mengambil potongan keran yang tertinggal.

Berbagai metode pun kugunakan, mulai dari menggunakan obeng dan palu untuk memaksa sisa keran memutar, menggunakan tang yang dibuka didalam pipa sambil diputar sampai membakar kerannya memakai korek (ini udah mulai frustasi). Menyerah, akhirnya sementara keran depan kubuntu pake kayu agar keran kamar mandi bisa mengalir.

Keesokannya, rumahku berulah lagi, tiba-tiba kusen pintu depan memuai sehingga pintu kayu bagian depan tidak bisa ditutup -_- Akhirnya sambil menamu ke tetangga depan, aku minta nomer telpon tukang yang sedang bekerja di rumah itu. Setelah 2 hari bekerja, akhirnya beres juga masalah-masalah tadi. Untuk masalah potongan keran, ternyata solusinya memakai gergaji saudara-saudara, never thought of it ^^;; Sedangkan untuk masalah pintu kayu, solusinya memang sudah jelas, yakni harus di tipisin pintunya. Ah, lega akhirnya kelar juga..
