Are you ready to see the awesome "after" of my boys/guest bathroom?!!

I am so excited about how it turned out...happy, bright and fun! It's like a whole new bathroom!

I'm so thrilled with all of the details and little finds that add so much to the room.

Don't you love the internet?

For all the yuck it throws out, some pretty wonderful stuff comes out of it as well. I love the people I've found and friends I've made and the amazing things I've found to make my home ME.

So...I have two boys. And I wanted an outdoor table big enough to seat us all. Most of the tables out there are really expensive and involve glass. Not a good combo when combined with two boys.

Enter my favorite medium, the pallet. Free. Durable. Boy tough. Done!

All I had to buy was the wood to build the frame/legs using treated lumber.

The boys immediately started using it as <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/65Uun9R0NKY" height="1" width="1"/>

a last minute mother's day gift {that you still have plenty of time to make} and a coupon code to help a mother out!

I apologize in advance for the heart dump that is about to happen. Unfortunately, I don't think I would make it through the day if I didn't unload this heart of mine just a little because dang, it has been heavy this week.

Don't you love when you find a shop that does something really well and runs with it? That would be Running Blynd, home of super cute clothespins, decorated by hand with love. :)

I'm thrilled to have her as a new sponsor and I just know you will love her little pins. They would add the perfect little touch to a package, spruce up a fridge or add some love to a cork board.

When the chance came up to make over a room with my friends at Sherwin-Williams, I just KNEW what room was desperate for some love and character...my boys' bathroom! Let's face it, a boys' bathroom will always be a BOYS' bathroom, if you know what I mean (mothers of boys, you KNOW what I am talking about), but I was hoping that throwing in a little character might help. When we moved <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/0WMdum19Kcw" height="1" width="1"/>

operation "no more school tears" {end of school countdown}.

We're digging in here to get Moses through the rest of the year. We are praying and listening. We are seeking and looking and trying to come up with any idea we can to help fill up his little love tank and help him sail through the rest of the year. We have some tricks up our sleeves and we will pull them out as we need them.

We started with his love languages. {Do you know about love<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/DUaISOGr5Jo" height="1" width="1"/>

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~3/DUaISOGr5Jo/operation-no-more-school-tears-end-of.html" title="operation "no more school tears" {end of school countdown}. Can we talk about how hard parenting is? How ridiculously crazy hard it is and how it gets harder. Every. Single. Day.

Hello friends.

How are you? Still out there, seeing me through this weird blogging slump I've been in?

I'm not sure what my issue has been lately, but I'm hoping it will pass like they all have in the past.

In the meantime, how about some more photos of what we've been up to lately?

I was equal parts excited and terrified when my pastor asked me to work on a huge project for our church walls. This HUGE grouping is one of a few pieces I am working on, this {so far} being the largest. I am pretty thrilled with how they turned out. With more trust that I am sure I deserve, my pastor sent the main ideas and scriptures and let me run for the most part.

Decide NOW what you want to do and start on it. Just a little at a time. I promise, it's easier to start now than wait any longer. :)

I don't know about your neck of the woods...but here is FINALLY starting to feel like Spring! Last Thursday we got a few inches of SNOW and 24 hours later it was about 60 degrees out. Crazy. However, the daffodils and near bursting cherry trees are telling me that Spring really is coming and that makes my sun loving heart happy!

Wanna quick catch up? Last weekend was awesome. Heck, every weekend seems to be awesome. We live in such a great area just full to the brim with things to do every weekend. Last weekend we drove out to Flloyd...a real live Mayberry. :) The boys loved this "big city".

I don't know what's gotten into me...but I've finished another quilt (without taking my usual six month hiatus) AND I've got another lovely one underway!
This one is for my niece Seryn. Something about the spunky colors of these fabrics just screamed her name to me.

The assembly was quite easy...I used a jelly roll, sewed the strips together and called it done. :)

Remember this post?

That was a dark moment in parenting. I felt hopeless and tired and defeated and like it would never ever end. I spent the Sunday at church following that post trying to hide the ugly cry from everyone. I was tired. I was worn out. I was exhausted. Did I say I was tired and hopeless?

Well, let me tell you, we are on the other side. The other, beautiful, DRY DRY DRY<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/KBBiq4IyQp8" height="1" width="1"/>

DIY Ressurections Eggs {20 minute crafter} How to talk to your kids about Easter

On this Palm Sunday I thought I would share a simple, straight forward way to talk to your kids about the beauty of Easter.

Resurrection Eggs use plastic Easter eggs and items you probably have lying around the house.

In case these are new to you, I thought I would share each item and a scripture that corresponds.

Place each item in an egg, hide them all, have the kids find them and talk <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/INqORLVrbNk" height="1" width="1"/>

how to make a freezer paper transfer {why freezer paper NEEDS to be in your stash}

Creative people like to do things NOW. Not later. Not when you go get the supplies, gather them all up and wait...but now. Which is why I have a lot of supplies sitting around in my stash. Because you never know when you will NEED to make something right now, because you just have to.

Freezer paper is one of those things that you need to keep handy.
It's cheap and useful for lots of things<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/C4vsf2nq1RA" height="1" width="1"/>

project headboard. {DIY headboard}

For our anniversary this year Doug and I gave each other a king sized tempurpedic bed. Very romantic right? Well, I think it is. I love that bed. It is by far the best sleeping surface I have ever had the joy of using. Anyway...when we got our new bed we could only afford the mattress and the frame...no headboard or footboard so it sat naked for a while.

And then...I found this <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/OH-WPXZrXWY" height="1" width="1"/>

what i made for Monday {oreo cookies cookies)

Oreo Cookie Cookies

My best friend just had her third little baby...a girl. Just the motivation I needed to get this quilt top finished off (having technically been a completed quilt top since November of 2012).

Made using a pezzy layer cake and some other patterns from
my stash...the result is a super cute, super funky quilt, just the
right size for cuddling up or taking along.

Ok...so I fell off the wagon just a bit. I had good intentions, I promise.

The good news is that I am getting right back up and trying again.

No, I have not chosen a winner for Februarys huge hoho. I felt like I maaaaybe didn't mention it quite enough and it got lost in the shuffle of the crazy of my life.

More good news?
I will be extending the entry time for the February hoho AND <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/vRAoB2K_VVk" height="1" width="1"/>

my friend Martha. {win a wristlet and a Staples giftcard!}

You knew she was crafty and awesome at baking...but did you know that Martha Stewart makes super cute office supplies too? And not just papers and sticky pads, either. How about iPad covers and cute totes? Wristlets and laptop sleeves, too!

They're available in happy colors like raspberry and this pretty blue up here. :) The quality is just what you would expect from Ms. Martha. Sturdy, <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/alittlebitfunky/~4/I6uTFxpAhsc" height="1" width="1"/>
