My participation in BlogHer's Inspiration to Fitness program has been a little better this week than last... but more than half of it was spent sick, which continued to be no fun at all.  I ended the week mostly back to normal which has been a great pace for life AND exercise. :)


However, like I have said before, this has not stopped me.  It has not stopped me from seeking out ways to exercise

If you asked me to make an educated guess as to one of the top contributors to poor heath, my guess would be portion control.  Not many seem to have it.  I don't, in general, think that food is the enemy.  I do, however, think that portion control is a critical element to eating well and being healthy.

This week I hit a roadblock. My intentions for exercise were almost immediately sideswiped by a nasty head cold that has made it difficult to stand let alone exercise.

BUT. This will not stop me.  Since I have had to be, out of necessity, light on exercise this week, I took this opportunity to look at other areas of my life that need a little "Inspiration to Fitness". I have actually found

I have a confession.  I am not, nor have I ever been, a diet follower.  I just don’t believe in them.  I believe in portion control and balance as much as possible.  I have tried a diet here or there, but it always left me felt like I was being punished for something. 
The only thing I have ever found that works for me, in regards to weight control, is to weigh myself daily, in the morning.  I’

Here's what you need:
craft paint in light brown, yoda green and dark brown (or a brown sharpie). 
Peg dolls.  I buy them from Goose Grease
a tiny bit of polyfil or cotton
a scrap of leather or stiff fabric 
glue gun
Start by painting the body...everything below the neck. 
Cut out some yoda ears...basically the shape of

A couple of weeks ago I made an AMAZING salted caramel sauce that was so good I wanted to eat it by the spoonful...I mean, lightly drizzled over ice cream.  It was AMAZING.  I immediately knew I wanted to make jars of it to give as gifts.
