Wow, this past week I have written about addictions and flower print.

Now it’s all coming together in one blog post… about iphone cases. Who would have thought?

Fresh Jess & I on our phones.. of course.

So, how can your phone be a forgotten anything? If you’re anything like me, you take it everywhere you go, even if it’s just from the living room to the kitchen. In fact I think my phone is with me more than any other accessory. But many of us still forget that our phones can be another way to express our style.

I have gone from a phone case that matched my nails. I really don’t know what came first, the nail color or the phone case. Today I have a bright neon yellow phone that has a picture of a retro phone on it.

What does this say about my style?

That I like to be on trend, but I still like to mix it with my personal old school style.

That bright is right with me.

That my phone more often than not gets lost and the neon yellow makes it easier to find.

I’ve had my current case for a few months. But now the sun is shining and my summer style wants to come out, so that means an iphone case to compliment my summer looks.

Wake Up with the New Uniqlo Social App.

I am a big fan of Uniqlo, the pants I bought there last year are still a current favorite. But what I am about to tell you about Uniqlo has nothing to do with clothes.

It's about their brand new Wake Up Alarm App.Not only does it wake you up, but it also tells you the day, the time and the weather. The fun part is that the alarm music is dependent on what kind of weather it is that day, and what time of day it is.
All you have to do is leave the app open while you're sleeping.It's also a social app, so you can connect your twitter & facebook account. Available on iphone and android.

Updated: I used the app this morning. 1. It was nice not to be startled awake by my usual alarm. The Uniqlo woman has a soothing but authoritative voice. 2. The music wasn't annoying because you are too busy listening to the info - day of the week, time and weather.3. I like the weather aspect. I have often dressed and left the house in attire not appropriate for the weather. I usually listen to Spotify in the morning and I never look out the window to check for rain.
All in all - I really liked it and will be using it again.

Keeping a picture journal in my pocket can be quite an addiction. I usually post a picture a day on Instagram. Yesterday, I was looking through my feed and realized that a lot of them never make it on the blog. So, today I though I would share.

Jewelry, signs, books - some of my favorite things.

When you skip the bus and decide to walk, you may come across a little piece of wisdom.

I went to a Jewelry party on Saturday and came home with this turquoise beauty from Premier Designs.

The sweet Jessica Piha gave me this beautiful Blue Nile necklace as birthday gift.

One of the ladies behind Gilt Groupe made a stop in Seattle for her book tour.
I can't wait to read the book.

I try to only post one a day, but sometimes you can't help yourself.

Rain or Shine: 2 Ways to Rock Your Summer Dress

It's sunny and beautiful one week and then the following week its a total downpour. The weather can't make up its mind, but that shouldn't stop you from indulging in flower print dresses.

Colorful and vibrant.

That's what flowers are in real life and they can be just as radiant on a flowy dress.

You probably can't ride a bike with wedges, but a girl should try.

If you're a girl from Seattle you most likely have a black flower print dress in your closet. It's the perfect thing to wear when its sunny outside, but not warm enough not to wear tights.
It's summer time here, so it's not as cold as it usually tends to be - which means no tights needed.
But don't put your black dress away - summer it up.

Why did I add an umbrella to this mix? Well it maybe sunny in Seattle, but it still rains.
Always be prepared.

Madewell's Denim Road Trip Stops In Seattle: Snap Shots From The Event.

When I found out that the Madewell Denim Road Trip was stopping in Seattle, I knew I had to be there.

Their beautiful air stream pulled into Westlake park, where fans were able to go inside and try and clothes.

Of course, I had to try on the color pop jeans and dotty top. Those are on my must have list for the summer.

The ladies on the air stream were extremely helpful, special thanks to Gloria from the Bellevue location, who helped put my outfit together. I rarely wear scarves or tuck in my shirt, but I loved the look. It’s always fun to try new things.

I didn’t walk away with any clothes, you can’t buy clothes off the air stream or that dotty top would have come home with me. But I did walk away with a braid and some fun Madewell sunglasses. I have a feeling the sunglasses are going to come in handy this summer.

I’m excited to see the pictures and the videos from the event. They should be up on their facebook shortly.

I've never regretted where I live. I love the beautiful city of Seattle, but when I saw this lookbook from Free People - I wished that I lived in a beach town.

The lookbook covers all aspects of beach life. The flowy dresses, the summer sweater, the one shoulder cover up and the maxi.

The colors remind me of sand with the neutrals, the orange and reds of the sunset and the blue of the ocean itself.

Fresh, casual, effortlessly cool.....

I need to go on vacation.

An essential part of every day life is eating. I'm a big fan of eating, I love going to restaurants, I love ordering in, I love going to my friends house for BBQ's - Did you notice that all of the things I love about food have nothing to do with me cooking?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to cook. There's just a few things standing in my way.

I have one pot and one pan.
I am usually starving by the time I get home - Lean Cuisine's are my friend.
I go to the grocery store every 2 weeks.
I never know what to cook.

So I decided I need to be a little more prepared in order to get this cooking thing going. First things first - I need to know what to cook so I need to start gathering recipes.

The first one I've added to my must try list - Easy Pecan Crusted Dijon Salmon.
As soon as I started to type that I became hungry. Also, its not a coincidence that easy is in the title of the recipe.

You maybe wondering - Why is there's a recipe post on a fashion blog? Good question.

Even fashion bloggers eat and who doesn't like to buy new clothes?

I have to admit, I am going to need an apron from Anthropologie before I start cooking anything.

I often read quotes and nod in agreement, but there are some quotes that I take to heart. This is one of them.

Like most people, I have a lot of responsibility. At times it can even seem like the little things have become a mountain. I know I can get swept up in the pressure of it all and forget to have a little fun.

I'm happy to say, I've made it a point to live out this quote. I've added the ridiculous to my life and I am embracing it with two arms.

I have proof. Below you will find pictures from the neon boat party I went on this past Saturday. A picture from my birthday party where I wore the sombrero because - well, why not? The all pink outfit was of course for a pink themed party. I've had a lot of fun and I plan on doing more of the ridiculous in the coming months.

A DIY For The Princess In All Of Us: A Flower Crown

A beautiful crown can be quite mesmerizing. I think that's why every girl at some point in their lives wants to be a princess. Many of us will never wear a golden crown, but I am OK with that.. it looks heavy.

But do you know what isn't heavy and is just as pretty? A crown made out of flowers.

In theory it sounds like an awesome idea, but flowers die. Oops, I hope I didn't spoil it for you, but like all beautiful living things, flowers have an expiration date.

As an Instagram junkie, I have often wanted to buy the shoes, the jewelry, the outfits that the people I followed were posting. Even though I wanted too, I never thought I could. Now it's possible thanks to PoshMark.

Like Instagram you can:
1) Create a profile
2) Follow other people with similar style
3) Post your own photos using filters
4) You can heart and comment

The difference is you can sell the items you upload and buy the ones others post.

The fact that I can do all of this in the palm of my hand can be too easy.. as in I'm an impulse shopper and this spells trouble for me.

I just signed up, so I haven't actually tried it. Have you?

I'm not cheating on Spotify, I'm just kinda seeing/listening to another music site.

You Don't Have To Be A Girly Girl To Rock Pink.

It's a head to toe pink kind of summer. Even though I love the color, I love the look - its really just not me.

I do consider myself a girly girl. I love jewelry, I love dresses, I love a lot of things, but I just don't wear a lot of pink.

But this summer it looks like there's a head to toe pink summer bandwagon, will you be jumping on?

Orange you glad its Friday. So I might have saved this post till Friday, just so I could write that. My cheesiness has no bounds. I maybe a little silly, but I also like the color orange. I never thought I would cut my hair this short. But I guess I should never say never. I went into Stylus Salon just to get my shoulder length hair spruced up. When Ellen asked me what kind of style I was going for, I had flashes of Leigh Lezark. Her hair is much longer than mine, but I liked the idea of it.

Thanks to thick hair and a round face I can't pull off a chin length hair style, but the long hair in front to short in back is just my style.

The story about my bangs.
I have had a ton of different looks with my bangs - straight across, wispy, thick, long, short and now its time for the hair swept to the side.
There's a reason for it. I have been toying with the idea of doing an auburn ombre in just the bangs.
Its the idea.. let's see if I actually do it.
