I’ve had this question asked by one of my clients last week so let me explain:

1) One way, and you should always use them, is to use 12SC trackers. The only problem with them is that in most cases you can’t get access to any page to place the 12SC Ad Trackers Cookie Based Tracking Code on which means you can’t track what’s really important – your conversions. You can only track hits which are only a tiny part of the full picture you need to gain the most profitable results.

2) Even if you settle for hits only, let say you want to track the Top 7 Safelists, a half dozen Traffic Exchanges and six Solo Ad Campaigns. You end up with so many trackers it gets soooo confusing and so time consuming that most give up on doing any real tracking. And pay the price of that neglect!

Here’s a better answer:

1) Use your 12SC trackers to track the total hits to any campaign – ie use a tracker for the total hits from ALL safelists. That can be useful just to make sure you’re getting what you’ve paid for – or that you aren’t whipping a completely dead horse with that particular type of traffic source.

2) Use the utility below to organize and track each and every ad you place at any source (maybe it’s all your Solo Ads for example). You will discover the best sources, the headlines that work best for you, the ad bodies that grab attention and action. Detailed, specific and valuable information!

3) Add the utility below into the mix and the magic happens! You will get your conversions recorded without needing access to place a conversion code. (They call them actions because it will track subscriptions or sales)

Putting 2) and 3) above into play has saved me a heap of money and made me a lot of money by allowing me to get the very best out of my advertising. I recommend both of them highly.

Keep in mind that you need both of these to get the magic working for you.

Let me ask again. Are you living a life of quiet desperation? If you are I want to try and help you change that. I want you to SING!

I ask the question based on my own past experience and the experiences many of my affiliates relate to me.

So, what is a life of quiet desperation?

It’s when life is ‘OK’ but not good enough that you want to shout about it from the top of a hill.

It’s when you answer “Oh, my jobs ok but…………”

It’s when you buy the Christmas presents for the kids but inwardly you shudder at how much you’ll have to pay on the credit card at the end of January.

It’s when when you nearly take the holiday of your dreams but don’t and you justify the decision on the basis that “I’ve got other priorities”

It’s when you turn the thermostat down to 22C (72F) during winter and try to convince the shivering family that it’s high as anyone needs. Yes, I used to do that

It’s when you’re not unhappy every day, but something just seems to be missing.

It’s when the little voice in the back of your mind says to you “You can’t do that”

It’s when you concentrate on the negative. And when what you say to yourself in the quiet moments is negative, when your selftalk sabotages you. It took me until I was abut 45 to overcome many of mine. For example ‘Allan you’ve always been a bit chubby …..’

Do you see what I mean?  When life’s not quite desperate enough for you to commit to change.

When you haven’t quite accepted that success in any part of your life depends on the quality you bring to others.
When life ‘goes on’ as it always has. (Oh, how BORING)

Ok, enough, let’s move on and discuss how you can go from ‘a life of quiet desperation’ to a life you, and all those around you can exalt in.

First you need to realize that change requires hard work. It requires a DAILY commitment to ongoing change. A commitment to what my superb mentor, the late Jim Rohn, called ‘Personal Development’.

And I can hear you thinking ‘Yada, yada Allan. I’ve heard all this mumba jumbo before’ And my response to you is “Don’t let that IGNORANT voice in your mind trip you up once again!” This in not just me spouting theory, this is me relating my lifes’ experience as I went from a ‘quiet desperation’ to abundance in all areas of my life.

As an content author myself I want you to succeed. In fact, I want you to do more than just succeed, I want you to excel.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of people who publish articles failing to maximize the potential of those articles; and in talking with many of you I’ve discovered that a lot of the reason for that is simply a lack of good information on how to do it with the least amount of effort, and to get the most rewards.

So, I wanted to give you a no-fluff, bare-bones list of simple and quick things which you can do that can quickly take your article marketing efforts up to new levels.

I encourage you to try these things, even just try a couple of them, with each of your articles and see what sort of difference it makes for you.

This list of actions is in no particular order. All, and each of these steps can create dramatic improvements to your online marketing and branding campaigns.

1) Share your work
Making use of the bookmarking options. The Like button, Tweet This button, and Google +1 buttons are great ways to re-engage with people who are already in your social network circles. By the way, if you enjoy this article, please share it. If you’re on Google+ (and you should be <grin>) how about hitting the Google+ button below this article.

Many Internet marketers often overlook the value of repeat traffic, but that’s the most valuable traffic in almost any business.

These are people who have already said “I trust you and want to get more from you”. By sharing your articles with them, you’re saying “hey, I’ve published this great entertaining/informative article and think you would enjoy it”.

It’s a simple and quick way to get their eyeballs back on your content, and since you already have a relationship with them through the social network(s) they are more likely than other first-time readers to click your resource links and engage back with you after reading the article.

2) To get rewards, focus on rewards
One of the most common elements among articles I see published that receive lots of reader click-throughs to the author’s resource links is that those articles focus on benefits (rewards) for the reader.

For example, if your article is promoting a specific product or service, it is 70 times more likely to encourage readers to click your resource links if the article talks about the benefits of having or using the product or service, rather than just describing the product and its features.

Lets say you’re promoting a certain type of carpet cleaning product. It’s fine to mention something like the product being environmentally friendly, but that’s a feature. What would have more of an impact based on my experience, would be to focus on how quick and easy it is to remove tough stains with your product. That’s a benefit (or reward) that readers respond better to over features or details.

3) Experiment with your link anchor text
A lot of sources say that your anchor text (or call to action) should clearly direct readers on what to do, such as saying “Click Here”. And many other sources say that it’s better to use your keywords as anchor text to get the SEO benefits, and make the links appear more natural to readers. Experiment and find out what works best for you.

4) Use your author profile page to build trust
Visitor tracking analytics have shown that many visitors will read an article, and then check out the article author’s profile page before either going back to the article and clicking on one of the author’s resource links, or moving on to another article from another author. This means your profile page is a chance to either attract or lose these visitors in an instant.

A simple reason is people want to know who they are dealing with and taking advice or suggestions from before acting on it.

By making sure you provide a little background information with your Bio, a picture and avatar, and your site address and Twitter account (if you have one), you can show visitors who land on your profile that they are dealing with a real person, and give them a reason to trust your words and suggestions by establishing credentials of education and experience in your Bio.

There you have it. Four quick things you could do, and it probably took you longer to read about them than it will to actually take to do them, that could have a major impact for you.

Step 3: Commit to becoming an expert on using Safelists.

Track your individual results: This will allow you to test various headlines and ad copy and constantly improve them based on your individual results of any ad run on any of the 7 safelists. A question I hear a lot is "Allan, how do I tell who I should be working with in my team?" or the related question "How do I tell who's serious about their business?"

With the size of my affiliate team here in 12SC and in my other businesses I'm probably in a great position to be able to help you with those questions so that you don't have to worry and guess, and so that you won't be wasting energy 'flogging a dead horse' or annoying your affiliates who may, for many reasons, not be pushing their business hard at any particular time.

So what are the 'Seeds Of Success', those little pointers that tell you who's serious, and who has enough desire and self discipline to make serious money (for them, and to a smaller extent, for you) from 12SC (or any other multi-tier affiliate program).

Seed 1: They choose to become one of the businesses 'family'. They attend the regular trainings or, if there's a real reason they can't make it, they ask you what's the best alternative. This is probably the MOST important seed!

Seed 2: They choose to become one of *your* team. They make contact, ask questions, and act on your advice. They argue when they feel they're right. They participate with you.

Seed 3: They take consistent action. *Any* action to move their business forward. because *any action* is better than no action. Nothing happens without action. One of my multimillionaire mentors once said to me "Allan, your commitment to your strategy is more important that the strategy itself". Your commitment.

Seed 4: They are open, ethical and honest. They 'walk the walk'. I have a saying 'Your actions speak so loudly I cannot hear the words you say'. Look for what people do, not what they say they will do.

Seed 5: They have character. They don't whine and blame others when the going gets tough, *they* get tough and they get going.

Seed 6: They don't wallow in negative thoughts and emotions. They know they can control their mind and their attitudes, and they take control.

Seed 7: They are willing to learn. Nobody! knows all there is to be successful in life, or in this business. As my mentor, the late Jim Rohn, says 'Don't be lazy in learning'

Seed 8: They engage in an an ongoing program of personal development. The person we are today got us to where we are today. To get where we want to be tomorrow, we must change who we are. To attract success we must become an attractive person.

These are very simple things, and all you need to do is look for these 'seeds of success' in your team and you'll never be left wondering again.

Of course the first thing you must do is look at your self before you expect leadership from others.. Good leaders are great followers. You need to ask your self 'Do I have the seeds of success?'. 'Am I leading by example?'.
