One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don’t owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness." He said, "Then I thank you from my heart."

As John Albert left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Year’s later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. John Albert was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor’s gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Albert requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She began to read the following words:

"Paid in full with one glass of milk."

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands.

These are some of the lessons you might learn…

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

When it’s in your best interest practice obedience.

Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.

Take naps and stretch before rising.

Run romp and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.

On warm days stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.

When you’re happy dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you’re scolded don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout run right back and make friends.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

Stop when you have had enough.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you’re not.

If what you want lies buried dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day be silent…
…sit close by.

Two men are waiting at the gates of heaven and strike up a conversation.

“How’d you die?” the first man asks the second.

“I froze to death.” says the second.

“That’s awful” says the first man. “How does it feel to freeze to death?”

“It’s very uncomfortable at first,” says the second man. “You get the shakes, and you get pains in all your fingers and toes. But eventually, it’s a very calm way to go. You get numb and you kind of drift off, as if you’re sleeping. How about you, how did you die?”

“I had a heart attack,” says the first man. “You see, I knew my wife was cheating on me, so one day I showed up at home unexpectedly but found her alone watching television. I ran around the house looking for her lover but could find no one. As I ran up the stairs to the attic, I had a massive heart attack and died.”

The second man shakes his head. “That’s so ironic,” he says.

“What do you mean?” asks the first man.

“If you had only stopped to look in the freezer, we’d both still be alive.”

BlueArc engineers, our partners in storage, will be conducting a scheduled upgrade on the Titan High Performance Network Storage appliances. This work will begin April 26th, 2010 between hours of 7:00 PM CST and 11:00 PM CST.

During this scheduled maintenance window all accounts that are currently utilizing BlueArc Enterprise storage will be offline for the duration of the upgrade.

This upgrade will involve upgrading current Titan 2000 (http://www.bluearc.com/html/products/titan-2000.shtml ) to Titan 3000 (http://www.bluearc.com/html/products/titan-3000.shtml).

This will further improve our reliability and dependability on our storage.

Add the new Facebook “Like” Button Widget on your Blogger Blogs

I’ve promised my family and friends that I would create a Blogger counterpart of the plugin I did last night for WordPress, the Facebook “Like” Button Widget Plugin.

Well, I don’t want to keep you from waiting. Here’s how you do it:

1) Login to Blogger (I preferred Blogger Draft in this example)

2) Click “Layout” on the blog you want to add the Widget

3) Click “Edit HTML”

4) Tick the “Expand Widget Templates” checkbox.

5) Search for the following code (you can use CTRL+F on your browser)

Once you found it, on the next line you should find this code . If you found that, it means you are on the right spot.

Copy the code below and paste it right after that code (highlighted yellow above).

UPDATE: The above code doesn’t seem to work because copying it from here adds some funky characters in the markup. Grab it here instead:

6) Click “Save Template”

7) You’re done! Refresh your main blogger blog now and you should be able to see your new Facebook “Like” Button Widget

Add the new Facebook “Like” Button Widget Plugin on your WordPress Blog. Download it here.

Instructions:

1) Download the “Facebook-Like-Button-Widget.zip” file
2) Extract and upload `facebook-like-widget.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
3) Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
4) That’s it!

It should look like this

I’ve given the widget a style ID so you can target it in CSS. The id is “facebook_like”.

I still however dislike the fact that the “Archive” button is still beside “Report spam”.

I am also fully aware that Gmail offers an “Undo” link if you make a mistake. But sometimes, it may still be overlooked.

I was at my bank today; there was a short line. There was just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars. It was obvious she was a little irritated.

She asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla fo yen. Today I only get hunat eighty? Why it change?"

The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations."

The Asian lady says, "Fluc you white people too."
