I have been quite lucky and at the age of almost 37 I haven’t developed that many wrinkles, but have to admit my skin isn’t the same as it used to be. When I was offered to try the new FreezeFrame, I couldn’t wait, as I have read loads about it.

I have never been that much into blogging nominations and awards, and have always thought that asking other people to do so for my blog was a bit cheeky. On the other hand when I look around many other bloggers do it, so I have decided to try it too, and we will see if I get any votes

I have been browsing the categories and think that the following two could be the most appropriate. If you read my blog, you could have seen some pretty good pictures I have taken with my camera. Well, I am not a professional photographer like some other bloggers, but am proud of my skills and am trying to improve them all the time. The second caterogy I can see myself in is the “INSPIRE!” category, as believe that reading my posts can be quite inspiring for other parents. You decide if I deserve to be nominated in this category or not. Thank you anyway!

I am due in less than 3 weeks, and we talk about our baba’s arrival every day. Everyone keeps on asking me, and Isabelle about the baby. I believe she is very excited, but with all these people asking about becoming a big sister, she has started to be a little bit funny. She used to answer the questions in a nice way, and was even revealing the names we had for the baby. Lately when someone asks her, she is not that keen to answer, and sometimes really makes fun of it all and answers nonsense. Yesterday we were on skype with my parents, and they were also asking her, and instead of answering she started pulling faces and then she came up with names we have never suggested.

I know she will be  a great sister, and that she really wanted to be one, as before I was pregnant she kept on asking for a sibling. She was the one who was asking every day, and made me realise that I should really do it all again, especially for her. I am not saying she was the only reason for another baby, but to be honest, she was the main reason. I just found it very hard to become a mother in a foreign country, without any family around… As Isabelle is getting older, it is getting easier, and now I will be doing it all again.

This time I kind of know what to expect, that’s maybe why the 5 year age gap between Isabelle and her sibling. It took me  a bit longer, I needed to do a few things, become “me” again, not just a mum, ran my first marathon, and then I realised I was ready. When I asked people about the best age gap between their children, they allways say exactly the one they have decided for. I think it’s different for everyone, and there is no right age gap. My best friend from the Czech Republic is 10 years younger than her sister, and I have always envied the great relationship they have had. My brother is only 2.5 years older than me, and when we were kids we didn’t get along that well. It all happened only once we became adults, and now we have  a great relationship.

I cannot wait for Isabelle to see her brother/sister for the first time. I know I will treasure that moment forever. And we will finally be the family of 4, which I have always dreamed about!

This week’s gallery theme is landscapes. It took me a while to browse through all our travelling photos, and at the end I decided for this one. It was taken when me & daddy were spending a week at beautiful Barbados. I have so many beach photos, but I think I have already shown some of them. This was taken on the eastern side on the island, this is the Atlantic ocean, very wild and completely different colour to the sea on the western side of the island. I cannot wait to go back with Isabelle and baba one day. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
