The veteran actor told the court he’s broke, claiming he made zero dollars last year and couldn’t scrape together the $250,000 that Tiffany Lee says he owes her for child support.

According to TMZ, his story didn’t move the judge, who slapped him with contempt charges and ordered him to serve 90 days behind bars.

The numbers he submitted paint a picture of someone struggling to stay afloat. Over the last five years, his highest annual income was just $13,000, according to court documents he filed earlier this year.

He also cited a medical emergency that kept him from showing up to an April hearing, but the court wasn’t interested in hearing more explanations.

When judges start issuing contempt orders, it means they’ve already heard enough.

His booking records confirm he’s being held in Hillsborough County on two separate contempt charges, both connected to his failure to comply with court orders in the paternity case.

This isn’t his first time tangling with the legal system.

Back in 2017, he was arrested at Columbus airport after a physical altercation with a valet.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 2nd to address the contempt charges directly.

Knicks owner James Dolan revealed Wednesday (June 17) that the organization has accepted an invitation to visit the White House following its historic NBA championship run. The announcement makes the Knicks the first NBA champions to commit to a White House visit during President Donald Trump’s current administration.

Speaking on WFAN New York, Dolan confirmed the invitation had already been accepted.

“As a matter of fact, thank you for asking me that, we just did receive an invitation from the White House, which we accepted,” Dolan said. “We still have to figure out the details, et cetera, but yes, of course. Look, I invited the president to come down for the game. He is a friend. I’ve known him for 30 years and I’m very proud to bring the team to the White House.”

The Toronto Raptors also skipped a visit after winning the title in 2019. The Los Angeles Lakers also skipped the White House trip following their 2020 championship season.

The Knicks’ acceptance marks a significant shift from that trend.

The decision could also place a spotlight on individual players who may hold political views different from ownership. Knicks forward Josh Hart previously celebrated Trump’s 2020 election defeat on social media, though no current players have publicly commented on the upcoming White House visit.

Dolan has maintained a close relationship with Trump for years and invited the president to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals earlier this month. Trump attended the game alongside Dolan and later praised both the owner and the championship squad.

“Well, I’ve been a Knick fan for a long time, and I’m also a Jim Dolan fan,” Trump said earlier this month. “He’s a nice guy. He spent a long time wanting to win, and he’s a competitive guy. He’s got a team that’s amazing.”

For now, the details of the visit remain unclear, including whether the entire roster will attend.

Netflix greenlit the renewal for “Funny AF with Kevin Hart,” which premiered in April and immediately became a cultural flashpoint when Hinchcliffe delivered material that left audiences divided and sparked immediate backlash from viewers and George Floyd’s family.

Hart’s response to the controversy has been unapologetic.

During an appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” he defended the roast format and Hinchcliffe’s set, arguing that edgy racial humor is part of the territory when comedians step up to roast each other.

“The George Floyd joke, it wasn’t a tasteful joke to our culture,” Hart acknowledged, “but our audience that’s watching the roast, you get why they’re doing it, you get why the racial humor is on the table.”

He went further, calling Hinchcliffe’s performance one of the best sets of the night, and when pressed about whether he should’ve intervened, Hart pushed back hard.

“What do you want me to do? Drag him off?” he asked. “That’s not what I agreed to do. That’s not the job at hand. The job at hand was to produce a successful roast, which I did.”

The show itself pulled 13.5 million views in its first week alone, proving that controversy hasn’t killed the appetite for Hart’s brand of comedy.

Netflix also rewarded Hinchcliffe with his own deal, greenlighting multiple “Kill Tony” specials plus a solo stand-up special, essentially doubling down on the comedian despite the backlash.

George Floyd’s brother Terrence had publicly stated he expected Hart to step in and shut down Hinchcliffe’s material, but Hart made clear that wasn’t his role.

The Memphis man who was acquitted of orchestrating the 2021 killing at Makeda’s cookie shop is now facing federal charges over threatening messages sent to an ex-girlfriend, and the allegations paint a picture of someone spiraling hard.

According to the federal complaint obtained by Fox13 Memphis, the whole thing started over $540 that Govan allegedly owed his ex.

The messages tell a story that escalates fast. Govan allegedly told the woman he’d shoot up her house, then followed up with texts like “The National Guard can’t watch your house all day lol,” which is the kind of threat that sounds almost casual until you realize someone’s actually saying it.

Federal agents say he also threatened to post intimate content of her on social media and send it to her family members.

The complaint quotes Govan saying “I’m bigger than the devil,” which prosecutors are using to show his state of mind during the harassment campaign.

This isn’t some random online beef either. The feds are treating it as a federal crime because the cell phone used to send the messages crosses state lines, making it interstate commerce.

Last year, a jury found Govan not guilty on all counts in the Young Dolph case after prosecutors argued he’d arranged the rapper’s murder.

That acquittal meant he walked free from one of Memphis’s most high-profile cases, but now he’s locked up on completely separate charges.

The judge’s decision to deny bond means he’s staying in federal custody until trial, with no way out while this case moves through the system.

The cyberstalking charges represent a dramatic shift from the murder allegations that dominated headlines for years.

Govan was arrested on state charges of stalking and harassment last week before the federal cyberstalking charge was added this week, stacking charges on top of charges.

The feds are making it clear they’re taking the threats seriously, and the judge agreed by keeping him locked up.

His trial date hasn’t been set yet, but he’s going to be waiting for it from inside a cell.

AllHipHop: First of all, I’d like to say that you’ve come a long way in this role since I first interviewed you at the premiere so many years ago. You are very beautiful, and your character reminds me of some of those old femme fatale film roles from back in the day. Beauty, viciousness and determination. Can you tell me how Rock brings those character traits to the forefront in Season 5?

Patina Miller: I don’t think Rock has ever led with the femme fatale of it all. I think at the end of the day, she’s a businesswoman. She’s a businesswoman who is conniving, you know, who wants all the things. She’s passionate, just like all the men around her and all the other power players that you see in the universe.

I think what might make her different is that she wears heels and she likes to look good. But I don’t think that’s a character that leads with being the femme fatale, right? She doesn’t have to use her sexuality or how she looks to get where she wants. She is actually just freaking smart. She’s one of the smartest people in the room.

I think that’s the cool thing about her. The things that we think of when we think of women in these roles, she keeps turning them on their head. Seeing a woman in power be able to handle all the things that she’s handling and get her hands dirty, but also be a loving mom, also be an aunt who’s there to support her niece, but also be a sibling who’s ready to go to war for her brother.

She has been so many things over these past five seasons.

Now listen, you can’t have it all. And I think in the quest and the search to want more for her life and create a legacy, there’s been a lot of destruction, a lot of different actions that have consequences. Those consequences are all coming to fruition. Over these past four or five seasons, we’ve seen Raquel have it all figured out and planned.

Now things aren’t going as planned.

So, in this fifth season, you get to watch her deal with not having it together and what that looks like.

AllHipHop: That is an outstanding answer. I’ll follow up on the femme fatale point. Don’t leave out the “fatale.”

There’s a lot of different definitions now. In my understanding, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re leading with looks. It just happens to be a part of that.

Patina Miller: But you know what? I really tried to play against that.

I think the interesting thing that I liked about the character was playing the femme fatale but also playing against it. Finding the ruggedness. Finding all the different attributes that I could bring to the role.

While channeling those things, I kept asking myself, “What else can I bring to the part that makes her memorable?”

Because just being a femme fatale who’s beautiful is kind of boring, you know?

You want to see a character have to go through it. You want to see a character get messy.

And that’s what makes them interesting.

The rapper posted a nearly three-minute video addressing his absence and opening up about his mental health journey.

He explained that he’s been working with a therapist and psychiatrist since returning home to either Atlanta with his family or Los Angeles with friends.

“I really wanted to talk to you guys,” he said in the video. “First, I’ve been in rehab for a few months. Since then I’ve been back at home, whether it’s in Atlanta with my family or in Los Angeles with myself and friends, trying to ground myself down to earth and get out of my head.”

Nas X acknowledged that he’d suspected his bipolar disorder diagnosis for years but resisted accepting it.

He worried about taking medication and feared how people would perceive him.

“When I got my bipolar disorder diagnosis, I feel like I had known for like the past few years, but I didn’t want to admit to it cuz I didn’t want to have to take medication and I don’t know, have people think think different of me. I mean, I’m already black and gay. I’m like living life on like extreme hard mode.”

Despite the challenges, the artist said he’s in a better place now. He’s creating music freely with less fear and taking time to appreciate life’s moments.

“I’m doing much better. I’m feeling better. I’m creating freely. And there’s less fear in my heart. And I’m smelling the roses. I’ve been doing music for 7 years now.”

Nas X also teased new music on the way. He expressed gratitude to his fans for their support over the years and promised to continue making them proud while staying true to himself.

“Speaking of music, I wanted to let you guys know that there is new music on the way. I’m not getting completely to that just yet, but I’m excited to do that.

The personal video update is the first big update since Lil Nas X was found walking naked in Los Angeles and accused him of charging at officers.

Prosecutors later hit him with four felony counts, including three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

He pleaded not guilty. In April 2026, a judge allowed him into a two-year mental health diversion program, meaning the charges can be dismissed if he follows treatment and obeys the law.

Now, a lot has already been made about the family drama that unfolded during the ceremony. But there were some details people probably missed, because they weren’t there. We were. So here’s some of what you may not have seen.

First, Treach from Naughty By Nature was in the building, Hip-Hop speak for. The rap legend came out to pay his respects to DMX, his family and the Ruff Ryders. He was there chilling, minding his business, keeping a low profile and taking pictures with fans. That’s real.

Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur was also there, which should surprise nobody. Jigsaw was the first person to interview DMX for AllHipHop and spoke with him numerous times over the years. He’s been open about how much the late rapper impacted him personally and professionally. For some people, this was a news event. For Chuck, it was personal.

Now let’s talk about who wasn’t there.

Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch — The LOX — were not present. As you know, DMX played a major role in bringing them back to the forefront after they left Bad Boy. My suspicion is they probably saw the drama coming from a mile away and decided to sit this one out. Can’t say I blame them. Swizz Beatz wasn’t there either. Neither was Dame Grease, the other producer that gave X that hardcore foundation. Alicia Keys showed up to DMX’s birthday celebration last year but wasn’t in attendance here. And when you think about all the people DMX made rich….record labels, promoters, the whole industry ecosystem …none of them were there. It was hard to ignore.

One thing that hasn’t gotten nearly enough attention in any account I’ve seen is the heat.

It was scorching in Yonkers that day. Absolutely baking. VIP folks got some juice and maybe some water, but for the most part you were on your own. Good thing there was a bodega nearby, because that corner store probably had one of its best afternoons all summer. If you were a speaker, you had a tent. If you were a camera crew, you had a tent. If you were just there to pay your respects, you were a roasted chicken.

And don’t even get me started on those metal chairs that had been sitting in direct sunlight for hours. Those things were hotter than a cast-iron skillet on a gas burner. I’m exaggerating, but only slightly. If you know the title of DMX’s debut album, you already understand why the weather felt fitting.

Something else that’s gone largely unreported: the mural. There’s a beautiful piece of artwork nearby featuring DMX alongside some of his lyrics, and people stopped to take photos in front of it throughout the entire day. It became an unofficial tribute spot — and honestly felt just as meaningful as the ceremony itself.

There were plenty of Ruff Ryders out there too, but not as many motorcycles as you might expect. Double R’s spirit was very much alive. Every time somebody shouted “Ruff Ryders!” they fired back “You know!” without hesitation. Wonderful.

And then you already know when it all went into a different zone.

After the official ceremony concluded, DMX’s son Xavier stepped forward. He was not on the program and he came in hot. Initially it seemed like he wanted his mother Tashera (X’s first wife and friend) to speak, and after some coaxing she stood up beside him. Before long it was clear that DMX’s first family had arrived in full force. They were Mob Deep.

The mayor essentially broke away from the stage the moment the interruption became drama. The mic was cut off. Desiree Lindstrom, DMX’s longtime fiancée and mother of his youngest child, bounced shortly after. She was expected to pull the string and unveil the Earl “DMX” Simmons Way sign. You could hear the quiet, urgent conversations happening around the stage. The message was clear: get it done, get it done now. So they did. The mayor pulled the string, the sign went up, and that was that.

Once it was over, it momentarily turned celebratory again. Desiree was gone. Treach and his wife had left. The remaining VIP crowd lingered, took pictures and traded stories, and for a moment it felt like a block party. Some said Xavier reminded them of DMX.

The city of Yonkers broke everything down with remarkable speed. They nearly took chairs as people still sat in them. I jest, but tents, podium, juice cooler and all the amenities soon disappeared. It was almost like they wanted no evidence that anything had happened. Nobody even got to hold up the commemorative DMX Way signs that were tucked away. They wanted this over over.

But something had happened. Dark Man X was honored.

The day could never horrible, because at its core it was a celebration of DMX, one Earl Simmons. But it absolutely showed how complicated the web of relationships surrounding his legacy remains. The street is named. The honor is real and long overdue. And Earl Simmons, the man who gave us some of the most raw and passionate music Hip-Hop has ever produced, deserved every bit of it…drama and all.

I suspect he’s somewhere laughing.

The rapper, whose real name is Rodney Wright Jr., filed paperwork asking a federal judge to ease restrictions on his pretrial release, and a Shelby County Commissioner just went to bat for him in court documents.

Wright’s currently sitting on a $100,000 bond with GPS tracking and home detention, which means he’s basically locked down.

He wants permission to travel to music studios and production meetings around Memphis and Shelby County with advance approval from pretrial services.

Two local music executives backed his request, but the real power move came from Commissioner Miska Clay Bibbs, who wrote a letter on official commission letterhead vouching for his character and community involvement.

“While Rodney has achieved success as an entertainer, many people are unaware of the substantial time and resources he has devoted to serving communities throughout Memphis and Shelby County,” Bibbs wrote.

She highlighted his work with at-risk youth, voter registration efforts, and partnerships with historically Black colleges and universities.

The commissioner concluded that Wright’s “demonstrated commitment to family, employment, community and compliance provides strong evidence that he can continue to be successfully supervised within the community.”

Wright is one of nine defendants facing federal charges in the kidnapping and robbery of Gucci Mane, which allegedly went down in Dallas in January.

According to Fox 13 Memphis, prosecutors say the group lured Gucci Mane to a recording studio, forced him to sign a contract release at gunpoint, then robbed him and his associates.

All defendants have pleaded not guilty.

Wright’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., was released on a $250,000 bond back in May after a judge approved his pretrial release.

Meanwhile, Pooh Shiesty, another Memphis rapper involved in the case, remains in a different position entirely. The trial for the Gucci Mane kidnapping case was originally scheduled for this summer but got pushed to February 2027.

Pooh Shiesty remains incarcerated in Kaufman County jail as of June 16, 2026, with his bond request previously denied by the judge who cited his prior weapons conviction and the fact that he wasn’t authorized to be in Dallas when the alleged crime occurred.
