Michael Jackson - Like many others, I was shocked to hear that Michael Jackson died. I can’t say I was a big fan, but I certainly used to be back in the 90s. Michael Jackson represents a great childhood memory for me; I grew up listening to his music and watching his videos (especially thriller which I watched repeatedly). I even had a poster and a calendar of Michael in my room. It’s funny how my personal memory of Michael Jackson is exactly what’s been played out in his official web site. It is all about memories from Michael Jackson, fed by his fans all over the world. If you had had to choose just one Michael Jackson song to take with you on a deserted island, which one would it be? Mine is below.

Think of it as the famous “Kodak Moment” term. We tend to document such moments via photos, videos, audios or via writing them down.

thisMoment understands the vast amount of moments you have and offers one platform for saving and sharing them all. This service is based on incorporating everything you already do on the Web and on mobile devices through the popular social platforms as YouTube, Flickr and Picasa. By the way, you can use this service as a way of exploring other people’s moments. Below is a particular moment that touched me, Esmee (a singer who added her moment). WeFollow - WeFollow is a site that offers a directory of twitter users based on different categories such as celebrity, news, music and many more. WeFollow is a great spot for finding people to follow. You can go by the listed categories or simply search for the subject that interests you (i.e. finance, love), and you will find the top twitters in that category. Twitters are ranked according to the number of followers. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the most followed users are the most interesting, but WeFollow acts as a decent filtering service. Would you go see a movie that millions have already seen or would you settle for only a few thousands of viewers as a credibility tool? If you don’t have a specific topic in mind for your WeFollow search, start with the top 25 twitters ranked by popularity. Simply Recipes - Simply Recipes is a blog that’s also a personal website, created and maintained by Elise Bauer. Unlike most of the large recipe sites you might find on the Internet, Simply Recipes is Bauer’s personal website with only a few hundred recipes, all tested by herself, her family or friends. Where are the recipes from? These are Bauer’s old family recipes, many of these were made up by the family members, aka avid cookers. Many other recipes on the website were pulled from cookbooks, magazines, and newspaper clippings collected over the past 30 years. Do you also have a recipe binder you would like to share with the world? If so, why not start your own blog?

Fmylife - Fmylife is a weird yet wonderful addition to the web. It’s a collection of everyday anecdotes and stories likely to happen to anyone and everyone, and is updated exclusively by Fmylife users (this can also be you). Fmylife is a space where you can let it all out and unwind by sharing the little things that spoiled your day, and maybe realize that you are not alone in experiencing day to day crap. Posts start with ‘Today’ and end with ‘FML’. The site does contain some curse words, but it’s really meant to be fun to read and enjoyed on a daily basis. I especially enjoyed this one: “Today, I found out why my girlfriend of 8 months has never agreed to stay the night before. Now I have a 4-month old mattress that needs replacing, and a 23-year-old bedwetter for a girlfriend. FML.” Which one is your fave?

Little Wheel - Little Wheel is a mouse point and click game. I am usually not a big fan of clickable games, I am more of an old-school game person and prefer games like space invaders. Nevertheless, Little Wheel caught my attention and soft spot with its simplicity, intuitiveness, great music and amazing graphics. The plot of the game is this: “There was once a world of living robots. But one day a bad accident occurred in the main power generator. The world fell into a deep sleep.
