How to Return Back To Old Style New Tab Page In Google Chrome

Google chrome updated to latest version , which includes many new features like New Tab page style for google chrome on which its include google search in the middle and all the most visited tabs below and newest feature which allow user to opened the recently closed tabs in google chrome .The New Tab feature of google chrome make google chrome to start slow , if you are on slow connection then it take some time to start a new tab page for very first time but you can speed up your google chrome by reverting back to your old style google chrome new tab page and you can also look at my post on how to speed up google chrome for very high speed .So in today we will see how to return or revert back yo our older style new tab page which only include all the most visited website in the center of the google chrome .

Revert Back To Old Style New Tab Page

1) Opened Google Chrome and then in the location box type chrome://flags and then hit Enter , see below image.

2.) Now click CTRL+F , a search box will open on the right top of google chrome, in that box type Enable Instant extended API and move to that section.

3.) In that section there is drop down menu from that drop down menu choose the disable option and then restart your google chrome .

After restarting your google chrome browser you will see your old style new tab page in which you all visited website will be shown in the middle of the google chrome ,see below image .

How To Open Recently Closed Tabs In Google Chrome

Google Chrome recently updated to its latest version with some new features like completely new design of Google Chrome tab page , restoring the recently closed tabs in google chrome and many more.The option to opened recently closed tabs wasn't officially in the google chrome but now it is officially introduced in google chrome.Many features are introduced in the newest version of google chrome and some old features are already there in google chrome which people don't know about it like to view saved passwords in google chrome and you can also tweak your google chrome to speed up for fast browsing but today we will see how on google chrome we can open recently closed tabs.

Open Recently Closed Tabs

Open your google chrome and then click on customize and control button on google chrome and then click on Recent Tabs it will show all the recent tabs that are recently opened in google chrome ,see below image.

It will only show the tab that you will recently closed , but if you want to looked at the all the browsing session then you should check history of google chrome.History of google chrome will show you all the tabs you opened and gone through , for an example you have opened google and you search two or three queries on it and then you closed that window now from recent tabs you will able to reopened the last tab with last query but if you want to go to all the query you search on google then you have to look at history on google chrome to see history on google press ctrl+H together a new page will open which will show your history

Most of us have Winrar installed on our computer , using winrar we can easily created protected files and folders .Those who don't know about winrar , then in short i can tell you its a software which compress the files and folders and it also can be used to protect those files and folders via password.Before we start protecting files and folder those users who don't have winrar can download this from the below link.

After downloading install winrar to your computer .Now we have to gather all the files and folder to which we want to protect by passwords .Let says i have folder in which there are video files now i want that no one can access this video files without password so i will make the folder password protected , the advantage in using the winrar that it provide you many more functionality like compressing files and folder so let see how to do it.

1.) Right click on the folder and click on Add To Archive .It will pop a new window and ask for some information , see below image .

2.) Now in the newly opened window checked the Lock Archive and also enter the archive name to give name to your protected folder ,see below image.

3.) Click on advanced tab and then to set passwords click on the set password , see below image .

4.)Now finally enter your password and also checked show passwords and Encrypt files names , encrypt file names will encrypt files until you will enter the password to open archive ,see below image.

5.) Now it will start making an archive files , once the archive will create double click on the file to open it .Now we have to enter password to open the protected folder.

That's it now your files is protected and it will not be opened until you will enter the correct password .it will show you error of wrong password if u enter the wrong password ,see below image.

2.) After clicking on Create a Book it will shown you a option near the heading of the page to add wikipedia articles to book .If you want to add current wikipedia article to the book then click on add this page to your book and the page will added to your book.See below image.

3.)Now you can search wikipedia article , and the article you want to include in your PDF files , just click again on add this page to your e-book .If you want to generate E-book or want to remove any article then click on Show Book ,see below image.

4.) In this manage page you can remove any article , which you don't need and you can generate E-book by providing title and subtitle of the E-book and then finally click on download see below image.

How To Change Window Border Width In Windows 8

If you open any new windows in window 8 you will notice the border of that windows , out of the fours windows border we can customize the three sides of borders left,right and bottom .By default the border of windows is little bit thick , you can easily reduce width of the borders and also increase to , there will be two ways of doing that , one will be using the registry changes and other by using a small tiny app called Tiny Windows Borders , we will only focus on how to changes it via app only so to Download this app from the below link.

Searching files , apps and settings in window 8 is little different from other previous windows versions , so some time it become difficult for users to understand how to search things on window 8.If you doesn't yet installed window 8 then you can look at my tutorial on how to create a bootable window 8 USB device so you can easily install it from USB .If you already have installed it but doesn't know how to search in window 8 then let see how to do searching.

So to access search box in window 8, you have to take your mouse to the top right corner of the screen ,it will pop a black strip on right hand side, see below pic how it look like.

Now once this black strip appear ,click on the search and after that enter your query into that search box , it will start showing you result that match your query .See below pic

Apps are the applications that are installed on your window 8 , you can also create tiles of any application and website.By default search will search Apps only, if you want to view files and setting's then you have to click on setting's and files options as shown in the above pic .This is the only method to search Apps in Microsoft window store .You might notice that when you open store to download or search any Apps then by only this way you can search in the store and look for Apps that you want it.See below pic how it look.

How To Remove OR Temporarily Disable Facebook Open Graph Search

Facebook open graph search was a new way of searching introduced by facebook .It become so popular in mean time , Facebook is doing very major changes to its user interface , the newest changes to facebook is its new facebook feeds which completely change over the user interface . Now every one on facebook who are using English(US) as there language have this new facebook open graph search as by default .No doubt it is very powerful to previous version but the newest graph search is also more complicated than its previous versions , people some time didn't get the right result what are they looking for , so they get frustrated and want to roll back to the previous version of search.One of the major drawback of this open graph search that it is also not available for all languages.So in the tech tutorial i will show you how to remove or temporarily disable facebook open graph search , why i said temporarily because you can later enable it when you need it , so lets see how to remove or temporarily disable the facebook open graph search.

On the right hand side of the facebook you can see , a option to change the language , see below pic now click on that English(US) .

So after clicking on the English(US) a new window will pop which contain all the languages that are supported by the facebook .Now click on Western Europe and then choose English(UK) as the language for facebook and click save.See below pic

That's it , now your open graph facebook search has been temporarily removed from your facebook , take a look at the below pic .

After a long time i am again starting writing articles , so the last time i have written an article on How to make Facebook profile images not clickable ,in today article i will show you how to apply new Facebook theme to your Facebook , this theme will override the default style of Facebook theme ,if you remember , i already shown you on how to apply a Facebook theme , the core concept will remain same on applying Facebook theme but theme will different , this time the Facebook theme is much more stylish and beautiful , please take a look at the below how theme really look like .

Tweaking Mozilla Firefox For Very High Speed Browsing

In the Last year i posted a post on how to speed up Mozilla Firefox for very high speed browsing this tweak are still valid for the Mozilla Firefox .In today tutorial i will show more tweak that you can do to tweak your Mozilla Firefox for very high speed browsing.So before look at these tweaks let me give a brief review about my last year post .

1.)To increase the browsing speed of the firefox you can install the flash blocker to block all the flash so the speed of the firefox will increase.

2.)Cleaning cache and cookies of the Mozilla Firefox so it will load easily on start up and doesn't hang while browsing.

3.)Keep up to date your Mozilla Firefox.

4.)Don't use any Mozilla firefox theme keep it very simple.

5.)Disable unwanted functions likes ,disabling the images and java script when we don't need it .

Removing the unwanted add-on and Disabling the plugins

In my last year post on tweaking Mozilla Firefox for very highs speed browsing i missed this important tweak.So why its important some time due lots of add-on extension and plugin the firefox become slow so it is necessary to remove and disable the add-on and extensions .To do this use CTRL+SHIFT+A keys to open the firefox extensions and plugin management page.

In that page Remove the unwanted extension that you don't need it ,see below pic for more clear view

And now on the same page find plugin option and disable the plugin that you doesn't need,see the below pic.

Turn off unnecessary scans of Mozilla Firefox

Did you ever noticed that after downloading some thing via Mozilla Firefox it start scanning of it which might some time hang your Mozilla Firefox for a while , so we need to turn off it to make our Mozilla Firefox faster as much as fast we can.so let see how to do that.

1.) Type about:Config in the location box, if any warning see you then avoid that message and move ahead.

2.)Now in the search type browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone , the value of it by default will be true you have to make it false by double click on that ,see below pic.

How To Add Programs To Startup Folder In Window 8

In my last post i shown how to speed up the computer by disabling the some startup programs but some time you need some important programs to run on start up , so in that case you remain that programs enable to start on window start up.But what will happen when some programs don't have any option to run them on startup in that case you have to manually add those programs to run on window startup .The process of adding programs to the window was quite easy on the earlier version on the windows but on the new version like window 8 it bit difficult to find window startup folder because Microsoft completely removed the start up Menu button from the windows 8 completely through you navigate to the startup folder.So lets see how we can add any program to window startup folder.

1.) First Step of the whole of our process to find the startup folder in window 8 , there are two ways two find the startup folder in window 8.Let see both the ways to find the startup folder in window 8.

2a) The first way to find the window 8 startup folder is to copy the below code and change Username to the Username of your window folder then paste it in folder and hit Enter .

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If you can't get above procedure see below pics how to do it , first find the Username of the window folder.you find it in the Users folder see below pic

Now if i will change the above code my above code will become like the below code how it look

C:\Users\sanju\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Now copy above code and paste it in the folder and hit enter ,see below pic how it look .

So after hitting enter we will be in the startup folder this step is little bit lengthy and difficult then way that i going describing below.

2b)This way to reach the window startup folder is the most easy way, first open Run(Winkey+R) then in the location box type.

shell:startup

And then hit enter and your startup folder will open its quite easy then the above way,,also see the below pic

Now we have to enter programs to our startup folder let see how we do that ,see below in the 3rd step.

3.)Now we have to add program shortcut to window startup folder so that our program will run on window startup,see below pic how actually it look like.

4.)So now your program shortcut is in the window startup folder ,see below pic .In that pic you can also see that Task Manager showing the status of the program is Enabled .

How To Make Facebook Profile Picture Not Clickable

In my the last post i shown you a trick by using that trick you can view or enlarge the not clickable facebook profile picture and also some days ago i shown you more security option that are provide by the facebook like hiding facebook friends list from the public and another post on hide your facebook status from the certain people in today post i will show you one more security option that is provide by the facebook but most of us don't know about ,this feature is to hide your profile picture from every one ,by that mean is you will be only able to open it and view it in large frame.Have your ever noticed that when you go to some one profile and try to open his facebook profile page and suddenly you came to know that you can't view it because it not clickable so how to achieve this type of security on facebook let see.

1.)Go to your facebook account if your are not logged into your facebook account than first log into your facebook account.

2.)Now click on your facebook profile image your facebook profile picture will be open , after that you have to choose the security or we can say visibility of the image.

3.)So to choose the visibility of the image click on the wrench icon below your name ,see below pic.

4.)Now to make your facebook profile image not clickable ,you have to choose the Only Me option that make it not clickable and hence your facebook picture can't be view by any one in the larger frames because pic is now not clickable.

Another thing you have to make sure that image is only not clickable for others but you can click on your image and view it in larger frames and you can also change setting's later if you want.Notice one more point by doing this your are only hiding one picture not the whole album of your facebook.

While browsing facebook you come across this situation in which you will not able to click on the profile picture because user of that facebook profile have put some restrictions on it.So it just a simple thumbnail if your try to enlarge it by clicking on View image and then use CTRL++ then i must tell you the picture will enlarge or zoom but the quality of the picture will get distorted .So lets see how to enlarge or zoom restricted/private not click able facebook profile pictures.

Some time we install many programs according to our need but once your need is complete you must uninstall that programs.Why it is necessary to uninstall unwanted programs? because it take space in Disk drives and also registry of programs are added to your computer registry so it is necessary that we remove such programs.You can uninstall any program by going in to the control panel and then go to uninstall a program .

Disabled Unwanted Programs From Starting On Window Start up

One of the biggest reason for your computer slow down is that so much programs running simultaneously .Once you installed any new program some programs start on window start up and start taking the memory space on window that make computer slow down.so to tackle this problem we can choose which program we want to start on window start up and which not , so you have to go to msconfig .Type Msconfig in Run (winkey+r to open run) and then
hit enter, see below pics

now go to start up tab and disables the unwanted programs that you do want to run on window start up.

All the above steps are valid for all the window users except the for the window 8 users , so for window 8 users you have to go the task manager to manage the start up of your programs.

If your a window 8 ,7 or vista user than you can change the visual setting's of your computer .So how to change the setting's.First you need go to the Control Panel\System and Security\System and then from there click on Advanced Systems Setting's see below pic

How To Enable GodMode In Window 8

My last post was about window 8 shortcuts ,that shortcuts will save your so much time if you gets your hands on them so i will highly recommend you to see that post.In today post i will show you how to enable godmode in window 8 before looking at the steps i must tell all the newbies what is a godmode.

A godmode is folder or we can say that a shortcut look like a control panel icon which give you access to just about all of the controls, options and settings for the OS.

So let see how to enable godmode in window 8 , same steps you can also follow to enable godmode in window 7.

Just Create a simple folder on your desktop and then right click on it and choose Rename to your folder.Now copy the below code

Last time i shown you how to apply facebook style or theme to your default facebook account .In today post i will show how to misuse some facebook feature to send unlimited message on facebook to unknown.Facebook is most popular social networking website ,some people are always try to find out loop holes in it , so people found a new loop hole in facebook or we can said that , we can misuse a feature of facebook to send a message to any unknown without getting any warning or account disabled from the facebook.So this loop hole help to those people who always send spam message to unknown people to make them friends,But if you send excess message to unknown people ,your account will be temporarily restricted to send any message and friends request to the unknown peoples.But using this feature you can send unlimited free message to any one.The most good thing about this loop hole is that your message directly delivered to the unknown user main folder instead of other folder .See below image how it look when facebook disable your function to send more message to unknown.

1.) Click on wrench icon beside message and then click on report/block ,See below image.

4.) In the final step you will get a window to enter text message ,enter your message and then finally choose the Continue ,see below image.

Manage And Set Admin Roles For Facebook Pages

Recently facebook launch a new feature for facebook called open graph search , this is advanced search engine for facebook that lets people to do advanced search on facebook as we search in Google or and other search engine and Few months ago facebook also launch a feature for facebook pages , using this feature you can add more people for admins role to your page.This features help a lot to the peoples who have many pages with maximum number of audience ,also help to increase the audience for pages.Facebook have five different administrator roles available on your Facebook page and these are Manager, Content Creator, Moderator, Advertiser and Insight Analyst. The Manager has the most and the Insight Analyst will hold the least privileges on Facebook pages.So now how to set and manage the admin roles for that follow the below steps.

1.) Go to your facebook page ,to the top of the your facebook page you will see a bar on that bar click on Edit Page& and choose Admin Roles, you will redirect to a new page.

2.) Enter the name of your friend whom you want to give privileges for your page and then choose the role and then click save.After that you have to enter your password for complete the process.

Watch YouTube Videos Without Lag On Firefox

Watching videos on youtube on low bandwidth is so much annoying we have to wait for complete buffering but when we have sufficient bandwidth and videos on youtube lag we put blame to youtube for there service but that's not true , the main reason behind the lag of youtube videos is the Firefox web browser we are using.There is no doubt about how great firefox web browser is but some time we need to tweak Mozilla firefox for very high speed , not only for browsing but also for loading of Firefox.So in this tutorial i will show a little tweak for firefox after the tweak you will able to watch youtube videos without lag on firefox.
But before doing tweak let me give you the info why firefox make youtube video lag.We know that when firefox crash or accidentally close , we can restored our all the tabs when next time we open the firefox.So firefox have a feature that store session of tabs on some interval of time but this time is very less , it around almost 15 seconds so that make video lag because tab on which we are watching the video will save on the interval of 15 seconds.So let see the solution how to watch video with lag on firefox.

1.)Open Firefox and in the address bar location type About:Config see below image.

Now if you see some warning then click on i will be careful ,see below image .

2.)After that in the search location type browser.sessionstore.interval , after finding it right clicking on it and choose modify .

3.)Change the value to from 15000 to 120000 this time in milliseconds so we are changing the 15 seconds to 2 minutes you can experiment with this value.
