If a stranger ran up to you on the street and offered you $50 to give him all the clothes off your back, would you do it?

Apparently that’s the $50 question that some New Yorkers were faced with in this episode. That and wondering if the exchange is entirely legal considering they had to walk home slightly nude in exchange for money.

Each designer was challenged to find a ‘muse’ on the streets and convince them to give their clothes to the cause. The designers would have to create a new look using these clothing items. After being turned loose it was clear that only Austin and Michael were the only ones actually looking towards what could be created rather than just going for whoever looked like they would take their clothes off. Anthony appeared to be turning it into a game rather than a challenge. Apparently he’s quite the smooth talker.

Back in the workroom some of the designers struggled with creating an outfit that incorporated the muse fabric/clothing. And the resulting runway was evident of that.

[spoiler alert]

CHALLENGE WINNER: Mondo, who definitely stuck to his muse. The skirt is interesting, although a tad short. He had a great patterned maxi to work with so he was already ahead of the game. I’m not crazy about the jacket with the skirt, it seems too busy for such a bold bottom.

PERSONAL FAVORITE: Mila. I know the judges called it ‘NYU Grad Student Safe’ but I cannot get over those pants. It’s like catwoman casual. And that top is definitely along the lines of something you would see in Asos or TopShop.

SENT PACKING: Anthony. Sure he didn’t even give a nod towards his muse, but compared to some of the other outfits, I was surprised he was given the boot.

PERSONAL WORST: Jerell. Seriously? How was he NOT sent home? This look was absolutely atrocious. Sean Avery said it best: “Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani at Burning Man on acid.” I’m not even sure which portion of it is the worst.

Who do you think should have won? Been sent home? Sound it out on Rate The Runway!

Oh, the post-baby body. Its not a pretty thing. (Well, unless you’re Heidi Klum.) But for us mortals, having kids is tough of the figure. Things have shifted, stretched and fallen – and sometimes it feels like no matter how many sit-ups and crunches and low-carb diets you do, that little ‘baby gut’ is still there. So frustrating.

CoolSculpting® is the safe, effective and non-invasive way to reduce fat in common trouble areas that tend to be diet- and exercise-resistant. *Cue angels singing* Its a revolutionary new body contouring treatment that precisely targets the stubborn fat you want to lose – naturally, safely and without surgery or downtime. CoolSculpting® is FDA–clear and totally safe.

It is a medical fact that fat is uniquely susceptible to extreme cold. CoolSculpting turns the tables on fat by harnessing the power of cold to naturally trigger fat reduction. Targeted fat cells crystallize, break down and then are eliminated through the body’s natural processes. Basically the CoolSculpting system uses cold to target fat cells and trigger their natural death, with no damage to nerves or other tissue. The body naturally absorbs the dead fat cells as they die over a few week period, leaving you with a significantly reduced waistline!

CoolSculpting takes about one hour per treated area and most patients are able to rest, check email or read while undergoing treatment. There is minimal discomfort with the treatment, no downtime and most patients can resume regular activity immediately after treatment.

Personally, I would love a tummy tuck. But those risks make me nervous and taking downtime to recover with three little kids is just not an option. Cool Sculpting is an amazing safe alternative – and significantly cheaper to boot!

If looking for a location for a family break what could be better than historic Concord in Massachusetts, origin of the ultimate family story, Little Women. Finding hotel deals is easy in the visitor-oriented town and as well as Louisa May Alcott’s home, there is much to see.

Concord founded in 1635 is a chic, pretty little town 19 miles west of bustling Boston Common and is popular with city dwellers for a day out, biking, walking, sightseeing of shopping.

Concord was home not only to Alcott and her family but also to authors Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau and Walden Pond State Park, where the two friends lived, and made famous, is nearby. Salem born Nathaniel Hawthorne also lived in the town for two short periods.

Monument Square at the heart of the town is a great starting place as most of the attractions are within a 15-minute walk of this landmark. The square is dominated by its Civil War memorial obelisk and is lined by churches and the town hall.

Above the square, next to the Holy Family Catholic Church is Old Hill Burying Ground, the town’s first cemetery, peaceful and leafy with a view of the town. There are many interesting epitaphs here, including that of John Jack, an African American resident, written by Daniel Bliss, which starts “God wills us free, man wills us slaves. I will as God wills Gods will be done.”

There are 2 other cemeteries in town, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where Alcott, Emerson and Thoreau are buried at Authors ridge and South Burial Ground, which contains among others, revolutionary war heroes. Concord’s North Bridge was the site for the first victory of the Revolution as the British were turned back towards Boston.

Orchard House, home to the Alcott family and where Louisa May wrote Little Women is just a mile from Monument Square on the Lexington Road. Tours are by guide only and tickets are on a first come first served basis. The Alcotts lived in Orchard house for 19 years and Louisa May wrote Little Women here in 1968 at a shelf desk her father made for her. The house is little changed since and many furnishings of the time are still there. Many visitors claim a tour is like a walk through the book itself. There is a store here to collect great Little Women merchandise and of course books.

Just to the east of the house is Wayside House, which was home to the Alcotts when Louisa was a teenager. The family later sold to Nathaniel Hawthorne. This is the house Louisa describes in Little Women, though is less atmospheric than Orchard House due to building alterations.

On the way back into town visitors will find the Concord Museum showing the history of the town and Emerson’s house where Ralph Waldo lived and died and is still owned by the Emerson family who have opened it as a museum.

Concord is full of cafes and restaurants to stop at and take stock of what you have seen so far on your visit to this ideal family destination.

But it is surprising that it’s taken me nine frigid, dry winters to discover nail brushes.

I keep it in my shower, and spend all of 30 seconds brushing my nails every day in the shower. My fingers are soft, cuticles are where they should be, and I haven’t seen a hangnail since I started.

The best part? At most, you’ll pay about $5.

Is this news to anyone? Or am I the last person on this earth to figure out how surprisingly powerful these little nail brushes are?

A few weeks ago, I was approached by a PR firm representing Vaseline and Q-Tips to review both a trusty stand-by products and a couple of new ones. I was provided a jar of good old Vaseline, plus two new products: Vaseline Lip Therapy and Q-Tips Precision Tips.

Everybody uses Vaseline and Q-Tips, right? Maybe not in all of the innovative ways they CAN be used. Let’s take a look at some of their suggested uses:

Mix a dab of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly with loose eye shadow to create a moisturizing blush. Interesting! I tried this out, and I have to say: It’s not for me. I did like the consistency of the blush, but even just the tiniest bit of Vaseline on my face felt weird.

Add a pinch of your favorite powdered drink to Vaseline to create a flavored lip gloss – it’s pretty and delicious! I didn’t try this, because I don’t have a favorite powdered drink… but I won’t lie, I was tempted to try it with hot cocoa mix. ;)

Turn old lipsticks into fun, new glosses by mixing remnants with a dab of Vaseline. I’ve been doing this for years! My lips get really chapped in pretty much any season that isn’t summer, and Vaseline has always been a great protector of my lips. I actually tried this trick with the new Vaseline Lip Therapy, and it was perfect. The Lip Therapy is just a little bit lighter in consistency than original Vaseline, so I didn’t feel quite so weighed down.

Use Q-tips Precision Tips™ for eye shadow application. I’ve done this with regular Q-Tips for pretty much all of my adult life, but the new Precision Tips are GREAT. They have the tiniest point that really helps with, well, precision blending. I use them to smudge my eyeliner to reduce the harshness of I AM WEARING A LINE AROUND MY EYE, PEOPLE! You know what I mean, right?

The possibilities are really endless. My all-time favorite use of Vaseline – and believe me, I realize this is gross – is to use it to stop nosebleeds. (I feel like such a boxer!) My sniffer is pretty sensitive and I get minor nosebleeds pretty frequently. When things are just about over but not quite, seal it in there with a dab of Vaseline and you’re good to go.

I mean, wash your hands after that, of course. Ahem.

Anyway, the bottom line is this: Vaseline and Q-Tip are two brands that will always, ALWAYS be in my house. Two thumbs way, way up.

I was provided with Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, Vaseline Lip Therapy Original, Q-tips Precision Tips™, a $25 gift card and information about the products by RocketXL. All opinions are 100% my own.

This bright, bold color was all over the red carpet at Sunday’s SAG Awards. Stars like Dianna Argon, Sofia Vergana, Julie Bowen and Shaun Robinson donned stunning gowns in raspberry. The best part is that this bold color works with almost every kind of skin tone making it universally beautiful!

The trick to wearing a dress made of such a bold color is to keep the details to a minimum. You want the color to be the main event. For casual outfits, try working raspberry accents in with floral patterns.

Here are some amazing finds under $100 to add a pop of raspberry to your wardrobe!

Every woman should have a nude colored trench for every day function or when another piece of her outfit is the main focus. But I strongly believe she should have a trench with a little pizazz that either finishes off the look or makes a statement with a monochrome base.

The signature trench coat is a fun piece to wear and always gets compliments unfortunately many plus size women forget to finish off their already polished outfit with fashionable and functional outerwear. Here are a few of my suggestions:

Pattern is my first choice for a signature trench but it often scares people off. If you do not want to step into the illusion of full body pattern then consider an eye popping solid color or charming accent detail to make your signature trench pop out from your usual neutral look.

I honestly couldn’t care less who wins. Just give me the 2-hour red carpet rundown beforehand and I’m a happy girl!

Last night’s SAG Awards were full of stunning gowns along with too many that failed to impress. Sure it’s not the ‘prom night’ that the Oscars are, but the SAG Awards are still a decent reason to don a show-stopping gown.

My favorites?

It’s no surprise that Dianna Argon ranks in my top 3. She has such a classic style and knows how to dress for her body type. Her braided hairstyle adds some youthfulness to her sophisticated, flowing gown. Sofia Vergara gets me every time in this silhouette. The pleating on the bodice of this Marchesa confection adds just enough interest but doesn’t overpower the brilliant color. And Jayma Mays was my surprise favorite at this event. Her Reem Acra gown was absolutely breath-tasking. This shimmer. The shape. And the little peek of lace on the back.

Lea Michele needs to take some posing lessons from her fellow glee-er Dianna. Why does she always look insanely uncomfortable? I have to say, her silver slit-to-where gown isn’t half bad, but her posing takes all the femininity out of it. Kristen Wiig wore a fantastic halter Balenciaga gown and promptly ruined the entire outfit when she threw on the choker. I was on the fence with Zoe Saldana. I want to like it, but from far away doesn’t it resemble a white maxi dress with a sheer slouchy sweater thrown over it? Busy Philipps was on her way to the grocery store and somehow ended up on the red carpet. Rose Byrne’s sparkly white jumpsuit definitely stood out. I think my irk is the combination of the strong hair cut with the strong anti-gown outfit. It is giving off a bit of a masculine vibe.

Who do you think rocked the red carpet last night? Who’s on your worst dressed list? Let us know!
