Anastasia Pines has listed for 36 million dollars. It offers extraordinary views of Roaring Valley as well as remarkable craftsmanship.

Anastasia Pines, the amazingly beautiful and sprawling estate in secluded Wildcat Ridge, is for sale in Aspen. The 12,800 square foot marvel has been on sale for about a month, offering breathtaking 360 degree views of Roaring Fork valley from every room in the house. This feature alone is enough to make a wealthy Aspen resident open their checkbook.

The home sits atop a 9,400 foot elevated ridge on 200 acres of land. While it is definitely opulent and majestic, it is by no means garish or overbearing. In fact, the elegance of the manor bespeaks luxurious style and grace. There is a premium emphasis on craftsmanship made evident by the collaboration of Colorado home builder Weitz-Norris Custom Homes, and Boulder architectural firm Eric Smith Associates.

These two firms combined to create a home based upon French country style design, complete with elegant stone and woodwork and large outdoor terraces.

The home is located next door to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich and his sprawling ranch. There is more irony to the Russian theme here. The name of the estate Anastasia, comes from Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna, the youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II. It’s a name that echoes with royalty, completely befitting this home’s beauty and grand scale.

Christie’s, the international real estate specialist, lists the home for 36 million dollars.

Alpine Design Creates Bouquet And Arrangement For A Wedding

Weddings are special occasions for family and friends, and require lots of collaboration between designers, caterers, and event planners.

Photographers capture the moments forever as celluloid snapshots of time. Chefs–if they’re worth their mettle–make their mark by delivering culinary delights that not only tantalize the palette, but generate memories long after the event.

Beautiful floral arrangements help to capture the spirit of the event – perhaps celebrating the time of year, as in the case of these flowers I did for a wedding last fall. The palette was designed around the bridesmaid’s dress in warm peach, orange and gold. The Bride’s bouquet was more simple in just yellow and white. The arrangements are spray roses ‘Mambo’ and ‘Milva’, gold Gerbera, ‘Golden Gate’ Rose and burgundy Hypericum. Everything but the cake is designed by Alpine Design.

The Aspen Ideas Festival Brings The Intellectual Star Power To The Town

Former President William Jefferson Clinton was a featured speaker during the Aspen Ideas Festival June 28th-July 3rd. The Festival was co-sponsored by The Aspen Institute and The Atlantic

The City of Aspen hosted a symposium of unqualified brilliance and star power from June 28th through the July 4th weekend. The Aspen Ideas Festival brought a seemingly endless array of high powered members of the media, politics, health, education, and the world of finance. The Festival even managed to lure a former leader of the free world for an open forum discussion on politics, the environment, the economy, world events, and many more salient topics.

One of the themes of the festival is Exchanging Ideas That Matter. That was epitomized by former President Bill Clinton, who highlighted a busy Saturday. President Clinton was interviewed by The Atlantic’s Ronald Brownstein. He was candid and forthcoming as he answered questions on a wide host of topics including the debt ceiling debate, Middle East conflict, and the economy. More than one thousand people packed the hall to hear the president. There were some heavy hitters in the crowd as well. Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Senator Diane Feinstein, Supreme Court Associate Justice Stephen Breyer, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

The three days of events and guest speakers focused on the AIF’s theme of dialogue and exchange, as it continues to lead the way in providing a platform for the world’s most broad and visionary thinkers to express their opinions. The events that inspire and interest them are often ones that determine our course– and the open forum the AIF offers allows these thoughts to be brought forth. The festival is committed to bringing these and other ideas to the front for mass consumption.
