If you’re a small business owner, you know that having a website is essential to compete with larger businesses.

It’s your company’s online face and a critical marketing tool that can help you reach new customers and grow your business. But to have a website, you need web hosting for small business. So what is web hosting, and how do you choose the right hosting services for your small business?

What is a web hosting for small business?

A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web.

A web host provider, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed on the Internet.

In other words, they provide the server space where your website lives and the tools required to connect your site to the Internet. Many web hosting companies, such as ByteAnia, offer affordable hosting services to small businesses.

Factors to Consider when Choosing a Web Hosting Service for your Small Business

When choosing a web hosting service provider, there are several factors you need to take into consideration. Here are the most important ones:

The type of website you have or plan to create.

What website do you plan for your business? The answer to this question will help you determine the hosting service you need.

For example, sharing web hosting would be a good option if you want to create a simple website with just a few pages and no e-commerce functionality. On the other hand, if you want to create an online store or a complex website with multiple pages, you might need a VPS hosting service.

The size and scope of your website.

Think about how big or small your website will be. If you’re starting out, then a smaller website would suffice.

But if you plan to expand your business and add more content or features to your site, you’ll need a hosting service that can accommodate your website’s growth.

Your budget.

Of course, you’ll also need to consider your budget when choosing a web hosting service. Fortunately, plenty of affordable options are available, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding one that fits your budget. Just be sure to compare the features and price before making your final decision.

How much traffic do you expect to receive?

Look at your website’s analytics to know how much traffic you normally receive. If you expect a lot of traffic, you might need a larger hosting package or even a dedicated server to accommodate the traffic without affecting your website’s performance.

What are your website’s requirements?

Your website will also have specific requirements, such as the need for an SSL certificate if you plan to sell products or services online.

What level of security do you require?

Cheaper web hosting services might cut corners when it comes to security, so be sure to choose one that offers the level of security you need. For example, if you’re handling sensitive data, you might need a host offering DDoS protection (which will set you back a bit more).

Customer support

Do you need customer support? If so, what kind of support do you need? Some web hosting companies offer 24/hour customer support, while others only offer basic support during business hours.

The bottom line is that you need to choose a web hosting service that can meet your needs in terms of features, price, and customer support.

What are the common web hosting services used by small businesses?

There are droves of web hosting companies vying for your business. And while you might be tempted to choose the first one you come across, it’s important to take your time and compare your options before making a decision.

To help you narrow down your choices, here are some of the most common web hosting services used by small businesses: 구글상위노출

Shared Web Hosting

As its name implies, shared web hosting means your website will share a server with other websites.

The main advantage of shared web hosting is that it’s the most affordable option, making it a good choice for small businesses or start-ups wanting to create an online presence.

The downside to shared web hosting is that your website might be affected by the traffic of other websites on the same server. For example, if one of the other websites on your server gets a lot of traffic, your website might also experience some downtime.

Think of it like living in an apartment complex. You have your own space but also share common areas with other tenants.

VPS or Virtual Private Server Hosting

You might want to consider VPS hosting if you need more control and flexibility than shared web hosting.

With VPS hosting, your website will be hosted on its own server, giving you more control over its performance since you’re not sharing resources with other websites.

The main advantage of VPS hosting is that it offers better performance and stability than shared web hosting.

The downside is that it’s more expensive than shared web hosting, so it might not be the best option for businesses on a tight budget.

Dedicated Web Hosting

Touted as the best type of web hosting, dedicated hosting servers gives your website its server. This means you don’t have to share resources with other websites, resulting in better performance and stability.

Dedicated web hosting allows you to customize your server to meet your website’s specific needs, such as increased security or more storage. Most large businesses or e-commerce websites use dedicated web hosting.

The only downside to dedicated web hosting is its price. Small businesses typically can’t afford the high monthly fees associated with this type of web hosting unless they deal with a large volume of traffic.

Tips when choosing a web hosting provider

Once you’ve looked at your business needs and studied analytics, it’s time to find the best web hosting provider for your small business. Here are some tips to help you choose:

Find a provider that offers the features you need at a price you can afford.

Choosing the cheapest web hosting provider might be tempting, but don’t sacrifice quality for the price. Check out ByteAnia’s web hosting services and customizable plans catered to your specific needs.

Consider customer support when choosing a provider.

Opt for a provider with 24/hour customer support so you can get help anytime, day or night.

Make sure the provider offers a money-back guarantee.

This will give you peace of mind that you can cancel your service if you’re not satisfied with it.

Check uptime and server reliability.

The uptime of a web hosting provider is the percentage of time their servers are up and running. You want to choose a provider with at least 99% uptime, so your website is always available to visitors.

Server reliability is also important. You don’t want your website to crash every time there are traffic spikes. A good web hosting provider will have servers that can handle sudden demands.

Check for hidden fees when signing up for a hosting plan.

Be careful of providers that advertise low prices but charge you for additional features or services. Always read the fine print so you know what you’re paying for.

Look at maintenance and security.

What kind of maintenance and security does the provider offer? Do they have regular backups in case something goes wrong with your website? Ensure the provider has website security measures to protect your website from hackers.

The Takeaway

Web hosting is an important decision for any small business. The type of web hosting you choose will depend on your business needs and budget. Be sure to do your research before settling on a provider.

The most important thing is to find a web hosting provider that offers the features you need at a price you can afford. And don’t forget to read the fine print!

Its main opponent has been Google Android-based devices from companies such as Samsung, which were also introduced in 2007.

The first-generation iPhone came preloaded with a suite of Apple software, including iTunes, the Safari web browser, and iPhoto. Internet Message Access Protocol and Post Office Protocol 3 email services were integrated with the device.

Soundscapes

Soundscapes? Soundscapes are all around us. Every place has one, and you’re in one at all times. Each is distinctive to its location and adapts with the passage of time. A soundscape is the sum of all audible noises in a given area.

Let’s take a look at the origins of the term “soundscape.” The two words that make up the word “soundscape” are “sound” and “scape.” All sounds are vibrations. These vibrations course through our inner ear, where they are transformed into electrical impulses, and then carried to the brain for processing. The suffix -scape implies scene, picture, or view. We all know this suffix from the word “landscape.”

A soundscape, much like a landscape, is the sound of all the noises in your area. You can paint a mental picture of your surroundings based on audio if you close your eyes. We are able to do this because of our binaural hearing. This allows us to determine where sounds originate; to the left or right, front or back. This picture is best described as a landscape of sound.

Design ideas come in various forms and lengths. The ideal type of motivation will always enable you to come up with innovative and one-of-a-kind project ideas. However, becoming motivated may be difficult at times. There are many reasons why you may get stuck on a project. Fortunately, there are a plethora of excellent sites for design inspiration.

When your job requires skill and innovation, you must always be motivated. But it’s not that simple. To help you, we’ll look at the seven things you can do to increase your creativity in this article. Go ahead and give it a go!

How To Get Inspiration For Web Design?

1. Go For A Walk

When you’re feeling stuck or uncreative, sitting in front of your computer may only make matters worse. The most effective approach to being artistically motivated is getting out of the office and taking a stroll. According to 2014 research conducted by Stanford University, walking increased creative productivity by 60%,

Consider how you might begin integrating mindful walking into your creative process. Make it a point to stretch and move about regularly, particularly on stressful days. If you don’t want to go for a stroll, you may jog or ride a bike in the morning. It’s alright if you don’t have easy access to nature. You may still be inspired by your environments, such as building signs, cars going by, and other people strolling about.

2. Search For Design Trends

For those of you who are experiencing the opposite issue and are having difficulty moving forward after laying a solid foundation for your website, spending some time studying current design trends may be beneficial for you. The face of the internet constantly changes, which makes it challenging to keep up with the emerging new trends. It’s impossible to predict what will happen once you start investigating them.

3. Look at Other Creative Works

These days, you may get design inspiration in various areas, such as your email’s inbox or your social media timeline. The advertisements appear in the toolbars of the websites and blogs you browse. Instead of stumbling around looking for anything to assist you in getting out of a creative rut, look for some bookmark-worthy design collection sites. 구글찌라시

You’ll spend less time looking for site design ideas, and you’ll always have access to the most up-to-date, innovative design. There are a lot of websites that are just devoted to supplying you with web design ideas.

4. Refresh Your Knowledge of Web Design Principles

When developing fresh, innovative web design concepts, it’s easy to get caught up in their novelty. However, no one ever stated that a website must be fresh to be excellent.

When you find yourself obsessed with the newness or experimental aspect of a website you’re working on, it’s time to step back and revisit the fundamentals of excellent UX. By going back to the basics, you’ll be able to refocus your attention on what’s important, and then you may add creative flourishes afterward if they make sense.

5. Create A Step-by-step Procedure

Working without a method may be harmful to a web designer’s flow, particularly when you’re in the weeds, feeling overwhelmed, and trying to come up with anything fresh. Instead of forcing your brain to operate in overdrive all of the time, devise a step-by-step procedure for clearing out this unneeded clutter.

Better better, make your plan and save it as a template in your task management software to reuse it for all of your tasks. By putting the specifics for each task into a framework, you’ll relieve your brain of the need to think about or remember them. This should offer you some breathing room to resume your creative thoughts.

6. Take a Course or Read a Tutorial

It’s always frustrating to get stopped on anything because it’s too difficult to build out, or you’re uncertain how to accomplish it. You can utilize Google to find out what’s available. StackOverflow and even Reddit may be of use. More in-depth materials, such as courses and tutorials, would be more beneficial. Elementor also offers a few resources that you may find helpful.

Learning web programming from the ground up takes around 5 to 6 months. This is assuming you study for a few hours every day. Some individuals can learn in a matter of months. Others require a little more than a year, so a week tutorial session or course won’t harm you. This lesson may reintroduce you to your interest.

7. Check Pinterest or Instagram

Pinterest is a free social networking website that enables users to create digital Pinterest boards by curating pictures and videos. This makes it an excellent source of design ideas for your next project. It’s also an excellent method to make a mood board.

Pinterest has an infinite amount of depth. Most individuals use it regularly throughout the research phase to discover unique designs, illustrations, photography, and references. But did you know that, in addition to Pinterest, Instagram is a source of design inspiration? 구글상위노출

Instagram isn’t only for showing off your breakfast or the drink you drank the previous night. It’s also a fantastic place to get design ideas. You may set up your own Instagram account and begin collecting images and videos you like for private collections, or you can just follow your favorite designers for inspiration.

But perhaps its most important function is to help you make money. Whether you’re using it to sell a product or a service (i.e. your writing or consultation skills), you can’t earn a decent profit if not enough people are viewing or sharing your blog content.

Alas! It is not so easy. A huge challenge today is how to be heard above the noise on the Web. Let’s face it: you’re not the only one with a blog. So if you’re a beginner, it can definitely feel intimidating. Don’t worry though – the good news is that you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on marketing!

With a few simple tricks, you can level-up your blog to get the views AND shares you need. Here are five cool ways to get started:

#1 Offer Free Content

I’m not saying you should just give away the cow. Offering free content means giving a small piece of the cow to make people want to buy the entire animal. Content calendar platform CoSchedule suggests using this method if you’re a blogger who wants:

Exposure to your target market.

To be known as an authority in your industry.

Build your online reputation.

Hook your audience for the actual product.

Think about the last time you were able to download something useful from your favorite website. Didn’t you feel happy? Didn’t you want to spread the word about their amazing offer? It’s the same for your audiences. Plus, you don’t need to give a physical product (although that helps!) as a giveaway.

If you are a consultant, you could offer exclusive tips or a free 15-minute consultation to your readers. For those with a travel blog, send newsletter subscribers a beautiful printable calendar of your best destinations. Authors on the other hand, could give an autographed poster of their book cover. Think outside the box!

Try This Tip Now: Infographics are a beautiful way to summarize data-heavy content AND makes for a cool freebie, too. Design your own using Piktochart OR by downloading Hubspot’s free templates. Readers can embed your infographics on their own blogs, or they can download it to use as an educational material.

#2 Add Shareable Images on your Blog Posts

You’ve heard it all before: a picture is worth a thousand words. If that’s the case, save more time by letting the images on your blog do the talking – and letting your readers do the sharing! Twitter’s study backs up this strategy when they found that posts with images get 35% more reTweets than those without.

You don’t even need to hire a photographer to get high-quality photos for your blog.

Whip out your camera or smartphone and take relevant pictures that you can use for your content.

Register to free online image resources like Pixabay to get access to thousands of royalty-free photos.

Start a photo contest with your audiences to build long-term rapport and connection with them

Make sure you adjust your pictures before sharing on social media. Having the right dimensions will make them stand out and avoid that blurred, pixilated look. Use widgets on your blog to make sharing images fast and stress-free for your readers.

Try This Tip Now: Pablo by Buffer is a great free tool if you want to create shareable image quotes in just 30 seconds! Simply choose a background photo (or upload your own), type in your quote, edit a little (for font size, style, and size), and you’re done. GoogleSEO

#3 Include Relevant Videos

Just like pictures, videos add a whole new dimension to blog posts.

In fact, the number of people who watch YouTube everyday has risen to 40% since 2014. Videos can act as supplementary content OR as a summary when your audiences prefer not to read the entire post. Monique Kilgore of renowned cooking blog, Divas Can Cook, uses her videos in addition to her step-by-step instructions so that her readers can easily follow along in case they get confused with the recipe.

Try This Tip Now: Similar to adding images, you don’t need to be a pro to have videos worth watching. If you can’t hire expert services, just take out your camera or phone and begin recording. Free tools like Splice (available only for iPhones) make editing videos quick and easy.

#4 Make Sure You’re Mobile

I can’t stress this factor enough: if you’re not seen on portable devices such as smartphones and tablets, you’ve basically lost a good chunk of your market. With half of Google searches happening on mobile, ensuring your blog is mobile-friendly is one of the best investments you could make for yourself AND your business.

However, if you want to include organic digital marketing (SEO) along with a mobile-friendly web design, your best bet is to contact a professional digital marketing agency that specializes on similar projects. Search engine optimization strategies help sites rank well on search engines like Google. If your blog is on the first page of query results, you increase your chances of gaining more views, shares, and leads.

Try This Tip Now: If you’re hosting your site on WordPress, they have FREE pre-installed responsive themes that you can activate in minutes. This will make your blog easily readable on portable gadgets. 구글상위광고

Now all you need are fresh, creative ideas! You don’t have to employ all these tactics at once (although being mobile-friendly should be a priority!). Simply pick a strategy that you feel comfortable with and get creative.

Good luck!

What makes millennials so good with social media?

Are they using special strategies to win over their fans and followers?

Andrew Bachelor for instance, has over 14 million Followers on Vine and about 717,000 subscribers on his official YouTube channel. That’s more than what most brands could hope to amass during a single campaign. No wonder corporate giants such as Pepsi, Samsung, and L’Oreal are turning to millennials. Although not exactly Hollywood celebrities, they have built their own brand empires thanks to their social media expertise.

See what makes these young minds tick. Here are four key concepts to learn from this generation’s next social media masters.

#1 Learn To Translate Digital Fame To Something of Value

Don’t just focus on your number of followers or shares – learn how it can be converted to something of actual value for the business (either in terms of sales or leads).

Artist Shaun McBride was able to create his own income from the Snapchat messaging platform. Just last year, he took over Disney’s Snapchat account for 24 hours to cover a “Frozen” event. From being pressured to join the popular app in 2013, he is now earning about $1,500 a day to up to $100,000 a week from custom Snaps for various sponsors.

So how does he do it? In general, Shaun doesn’t really want to think about it in terms of sales figures – he just wants to engage with his young audiences by providing fun, entertaining snaps of his adventures. Although he’s currently working with brands to promote their products and services, his method doesn’t feel promotional at all.

A big mistake many brands make when promoting themselves on social media is that they try too hard. Shaun suggests to first observe what audiences pay attention to, and then tailor your content based on those observations. When he was still new to Snapchat, he noticed that his posts were a bit bland. Using his skills as an artist – plus his love of witty captions – he was able to level up those Snaps and earn himself a following. With patience and sincerity, he slowly got featured on popular sites (such as Forbes.com and USA TODAY), which led to more followers.

Shaun’s success can also be attributed to how he engages his audiences. Instead of simply posting his adventures, he enjoys sharing these experiences with his followers by letting them send him snaps, which he customizes. On his social media pages like Twitter, you can see him acknowledging and addressing other people in a friendly, personal tone.

His approachable and genuine personality shone through his works, making him one of the most profitable faces on social media today. In an interview with Re/code, Shaun shared that there was no ‘big break’ or ‘going viral’. He just did what he thought was best, got featured by big names in the industry, and it took off from there.

He’s also careful about choosing which brands to work for. His motto, which is to simply ‘go on adventures’ is subliminally reflected on his website, blog, and projects he’s done.

Brand Takeaways:

Watch out for trending or fresh social media apps. Facebook and Twitter are already saturated; so think outside the box and use niche platforms that cater specifically to your target market. Snapchat for example, has an audience demographic of 15 to 25 year olds.

Build content around your service or product – but do NOT sound promotional!
Use your loyal fans or followers to promote contests, promotions, or spread the word about new offers.

Incorporate offline strategies (such as conventions, product launches, etc.) to reinforce yourself as a strong brand.

Be absolutely clear about what you want to get out of social media, because gaining thousands of followers is just the beginning.

#2 If It Doesn’t Work Out On One Platform, Try Another

If you see your business is not receiving the expected results, see which new social media platforms you could jump onto to keep your brand relevant and fresh.

This is what Canadian singer Shawn Mendes has proven to be true. Even with more than a million subscribers on his YouTube account, his fame didn’t really take off until he joined Vine. Mendes noticed that the platform didn’t contain short music videos at that time. He wanted to take advantage of the gap he found, and the rest they say, is history.

Thanks to his version of ‘As Long as You Love Me’ by Justin Bieber, his account gained about 10,000 followers overnight. After his initial success, he kept posting videos on both his Vine and YouTube profiles. He’s more frequent on Vine though, with videos just several days apart. It’s no surprise as this account contains the most audiences (over 4.3 million followers).

Shawn also shared in an interview with Telegraph UK that he enjoyed working ‘as a team’ with his many fans. He’d ask them for songs they’d like him to sing, and he’d gladly comply. This connection between celebrities and fans was unheard of in previous years before social media. Now, it can be used to spread content and in return, gain brand loyalty.

Sony Electronics encountered a similar flop when they tried to market their PSP in 2006 through a fake blog. They have learned from that mistake and have since tried other social media platforms. Sony is now one of the winning brands on Pinterest with 45,000 followers.

Brand Takeaways:

Decide with your digital marketer if there’s a need to switch focus from one social media site to another.

Brainstorm with your team if there are content opportunities on your target platform.

Sometimes, you just need to take a leap of faith. Mendes and Sony Electronics wouldn’t be as successful today had they not tried their luck somewhere else.

#3 Cater To Your Main Market – But Diversify For Most Audiences

Showcase your expertise – but try other things, too. This keeps your brand fun, fresh, and exciting for the changing consumers.

Although still very young, Jack & Jack already have their own recipe for success. Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky‘s Vine account is a hotpot of music covers, skits with wigs, nerd alter egos, and more. This variety keeps all kinds of audiences entertained – from young teen girls to busy moms.

In an article, the boys understand how fragile online fame is. “We try to cover most people’s interests, that way we think we can get as large of a fan base as possible,” explained Johnson. Their YouTube account reflects this concept in the type of videos they post. Despite their focus on music, they are still able to upload short skits, direct announcements, and a bit of Q&A for their fans.

Marks & Spencer did this bold move when they decided to diversify into food and home products. Although the brand seems to be crossing a thin line when it comes to their fashion department, their food products are getting plenty of attention.

Brand Takeaways:

Always be aware of what you post on social media. Use tools like CoSchedule to plan your content ahead of time.

Don’t be afraid to try something new! If you want to explore video or audio marketing, talk to an expert about your plans.

Branch out – but remain significant to your target consumers.

#4 Realize That YOU Are Your Brand

Becoming your brand helps you stay consistent, whether on- or offline. Authenticity – along with a great, quality product – is what influences most millennial buying decisions. 강남가라오케

YouTube beauty guru Michelle Phan knows this all too well. In an interview with Re/code, the 28-year-old entrepreneur says the reason why viewers preferred her informal videos was because they felt more authentic compared to big productions. Now with her own music label (Cutting Edge Music), book (Make Up: Your Life Guide to Beauty, Style, and Success), and business start-up (Ipsy), Phan still stays true to her roots by producing her own video tutorials – something that she’s been doing since 2006.

She keeps things consistent with her brand by carefully choosing what to repost from other users. Her Twitter account for example, has a mixture of beauty, travel, fashion, and inspirational Tweets. Aside from the occasional mentions about her current mood or task, she strays from anything that could otherwise give a wrong impression.

Like most social media savvy millennials, Phan also loves directly engaging with fans. Although her replies or comments are short, she makes them feel more personalized through emojis.

Phan’s social media profiles also showcase the same theme, depending on how she wants to be seen by the online community. Right now, her accounts feature a dreamy, galaxy-like concept that embodies her go-getter attitude towards life. She keeps the theme constant with positive, motivational posts as well.

Brand Takeaways:

Review your business goals and mission with team members.

Make sure they understand that each of them is a brand ambassador.

Look for relevant events or institutions that your company can support in the long-term.

Let consumers take a sneak peek of what happens inside your company through informal pictures or videos. This should give them a glimpse of your company culture.

When you believe that YOU are your brand, you will be more conscious of your actions, especially on social media. This should reflect on the things you post.

Conclusion

Aside from a natural knack at social media, millennials like Michelle Phan, Cameron Dallas, and Shawn Mendes all share ONE key trait: they’re stubborn. When Phan couldn’t land a job at a beauty counter because she had ‘no sales experience’, she pursued her dream online. Instead of seeing this quality as a liability, brands should start using it to experiment with better strategies.

Even small businesses can compete in the social media game, as long as they think fearlessly. Millennials may be viewed as impatient, overly emotional, and narcissistic, but they sure know how to follow their passion – and succeed in the process.

This 2016, update your digital marketing strategies and think like a millennial.

With the Holidays fast approaching, there’s no better time to begin attracting customers than TODAY. If you weren’t able to plan your marketing strategy as early as August, then November is already late. But as they say: better that than never, right? Aside from search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing is one of the most effective ways to gain an edge in Holiday ecommerce. And there’s no better platform than Facebook.

With about 1.55 million active users by the end of September 2015, the social media giant is a goldmine for marketers AND businesses looking for a slice of the market pie. Whether you’re seeking to increase brand awareness or to improve click-through rates (CTR), a well-organized strategy should yield the desired results.

Unfortunately, there lies the PROBLEM. Plenty of small businesses and marketers go on Facebook without a plan – especially during the Holidays! Don’t let your profits just skip you by. Take note of these top three tips when crafting last-minute marketing methods on Facebook.

#1 Watch What People Are Sharing

This is the MOST important aspect. If you don’t know what people – especially your target market – is sharing, you can’t get far. Good thing your best tool is right on the platform itself: Facebook Insights allows businesses to see a huge load of data, from what type of content is being shared most to the demographics of their sharers.

This feature is available to Fan Pages ONLY. The dashboard will contain a summary of your most important stats (total number of Likes, friends of your Fans, people talking about your Page, and your weekly total reach). To analyze all this data at your own convenience, you may export and download it in a spreadsheet format.

Which of your posts are getting the most Likes? Do you have viral content? What’s it about? Use the figures from your Facebook Insights to tailor your posts accordingly.

#2 Package Your Promos Nicely

It’s exciting to watch people share your products or services. But what’s better is seeing ACTUAL purchases.

Well, in this matter I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that not everyone who shares your page buys from it. They’re either a) sharing your content for their interested friends; OR b) because they want to save it for later. However, the keyword here is INTEREST. It’s easier to reel them in as they have already shown awareness of your merchandise. The second step then, is to carefully package your offers to convince them to buy.

For instance: creating custom tabs on your business Page allows users to browse without having to sift through unwanted content (such as random posts). If you’re into retail like Amazon and Ebay, make sure you have a separate tab for daily deals, promos, or coupon giveaways so people would know immediately where to go. According to an article from the The Next Web, these Facebook pages are visited more often, and thus, get more sales from visitors.

#3 Give People Options

As mentioned before, even if you did your best to gain more sales for your product, a lot of people would still be hesitant to buy – until the last minute. Others don’t buy at all. Be prepared for these moments by offering people options. How can you do this?

Encourage re-sharing. You can get creative when it comes to doubling people who shared your content. For instance: we already know that posts that get “Liked” become visible on other people’s Feeds as long as they are friends. Promos or special deals that ask for extra shares are a good way to double your efforts without doing much. Feel free to make contests based on this concept.

Ask them to subscribe. If users clicked on your Facebook ad or got redirected to your website BUT didn’t buy anything, you can still keep tabs on them by having them to SUBSCRIBE to your newsletter. It’s as simple as a pop-up asking for their name and email address. Once you get this information, you can always save it for future marketing efforts, such as…

Retargeting. This is an old marketing method that uses a cookie-based technique to “follow” users who previously visited your site but didn’t complete an action. Your ads will be shown to them whenever they visit related sites, depending on the frequency that you’ve set. The goal of retargeting is to remind users that they have visited your site – and that they should probably make that purchase.

Save to social media. Sometimes, it will take days, weeks, or months before someone finally decides to buy your product. For the meantime, be sure to incorporate social media buttons on your best content for easy sharing. Your photos for example, should be Pinnable. Pinned photos save links where the images came from, so you’re sure that users should know where to find your products once they feel like buying it.

Facebook also now has the “Save for Later” option, which people can use to save content they want to browse at their own convenience. Encourage your customers to take advantage of this option so they could always go back to your content.

Patience is often needed in order for a Holiday campaign to work. But when time is NOT a luxury, gently nudging your customers to the checkout page could be made easy thanks to the power of social media. 구글SEO

Conclusion

Don’t know where to start? Ask your SEO services specialist about his recommendations on how to best utilize Facebook’s ecommerce features. Don’t delay! The Holidays are only weeks away – so better get your best deals on hand and be prepared to sell!

Time is literally money these days. For each second that you make your customers wait, you lose a possible sale, which could add up to your annual revenue. According to KISSmetrics, a one second delay could cost an e-commerce site $2.5 million a year. Imagine where you could have used all that money instead (employee bonuses, a vacation for the family, customer freebies, etc.)!

Profit aside, great website speed have long-term benefits. For one, it improves the online user’s experience. If they’re happy, they are more likely to return. If nurtured, they eventually become loyal customers who will keep buying from you. If that’s not enough to convince you to work on your page speed, search engine giant Google considers it as one of its many ranking factors.

This means the faster your website is, the higher the probability that you will be seen on top of search results. And who doesn’t want that? Please note however, that there are various other factors involved here, such as: backlinks, domain age, content quality, and social signals to mention a few.

Now that we’ve established how vital page speeds are to the success of your business, let’s begin trimming seconds off your loading time. Here are six practical tips to help you get started today:

#1 Reduce Tracking Codes and Share Button

Tracking codes are essential to keep tabs on user activity from your website. However, it requires information from your website to the server to go back and forth, similar to a tennis match. This is what causes latency. Analyze your website for tracking codes you don’t need. In our case, we stuck with Google Analytics as it’s what we use often anyway. If you can’t decide on which tracking codes to remove, place ALL JavaScript codes at the bottom of your page (footer) and all CSS elements above that. This should improve your loading times.

Sharing buttons on the other hand, are great to encourage more social media signals from your site visitors. However, just like tracking codes, they are typically dependent on Javascript; thus, requiring repeated exchange of data which causes latency issues. In this case, you have three options:

Use the official share buttons from the social media support page

Create your own custom lightweight buttons

Utilize fonticons and simply attach a link to them

During our experiments, we found the third tip to be the most effective as it reduced latency problems and didn’t require additional coding.

#2 Fix Broken URLs

404/410 errors cause more than annoyance to users. When you have several broken links or missing images, it takes the server more time to look for data that’s not there. The result: a few seconds’ delay that could cost you precious customers. Regular check-ups would help you nip these problems in the bud. You can use Brokenlinkcheck.com or Deadlinkchecker.com among other tools.

Internal broken links are fairly easy to repair. Simply login to your site and fix it. For external links, you can: setup a 301 redirect, customize the 404 page, or contact the webmaster for a correction. Either way, this is one aspect of your website that’s expensive to ignore. Find your 404s and repair them for smooth, seamless website experience.

#3 Optimize Images

Unlike plain text, images take up more space than you think. That’s why it’s important to optimize and/or compress them for maximum loading speed. Remember: the larger the size of the image file, the longer it will take for it to appear on users’ device screens. Do them a favor by optimizing your images using tools like Tinypng.com. This will keep your pictures stunning while ensuring that it loads perfectly. 구글SEO

For those with WordPress sites simply download the associated plugin to automatically optimize your images after you upload them. For non-WordPress users, you can either upload your images on the tool and download them for use later OR find the plugin that’s right for you.

#4 Use Plugin For Videos

Although video platforms are awesome and make our pages more interactive, they also add unnecessary latency. For example: if you embed a video from Youtube, the server will take extra time to load information from the platform first – causing slow page speeds. If you don’t really need them to play automatically, there’s an easier way to increase site speed without having to remove that cute cat video: use plugins.

For WordPress users, YouTube Lyte is an official plugin that’s super easy to install and use. After installation, simply copy the video ID of the selected video, insert it into the shortcode, and you’re done.

It works by uploading an image first, instead of the usual video (which sometimes takes longer). Once the user is ready, all he or she has to do is to click the play button and it will run normally.

#5 Compress Heavy Pages

No matter what coding combination you use and sometimes, no matter how we try to optimize our pages, they still end up being heavy. Going back to our previous point: the heavier a file, the longer it takes to download. And users today simply don’t have time to wait an extra second. So what do we do? We compress. That’s right: similar to compressing files into .zip before attaching it into your email, you can compress your web pages for faster site speeds. This is possible through GZIP compression.

Search engines such as Yahoo and Google are already using this, so you have little to worry about. Plus, it’s pretty easy to setup:

Go to your root directory

Find the .htaccess file

Edit it and insert the code below

Voila! It shall be applied to ALL your web pages; making downloads quicker and less of a hassle to your users. Faster web pages mean happier users, which translates to better business for you. 구글상위광고

#6 Test and Compare

The Web is an ever dynamic place. The key to constantly providing fast website speeds is to regularly test and compare site results after any changes. You can use Google’s PageSpeed Insights OR Pingdom.com to test your website’s speed and compare it to previous outcomes. As recommended in tip #2, frequently checking your site for errors will keep it up-to-date and running smoothly.

No one likes slow service. Whether you’re at a restaurant or on a website, speed is today’s standard for success. Don’t get left behind! Consider these tips for a seamless experience for your online users. If you’re having trouble, feel free to coordinate with your in-house web developer or outsource web development company for more details on how to improve your site’s performance.

Address web page issues as soon as you can. After all, time is money.

We’re all familiar with content marketing and how important it is in today’s digital marketing environment. It’s what most businesses – big or small – now depend on to get their products/services out there. In the saturated world of news, trends, and viral hits, it’s critical to not only be UNIQUE, but to have the AUTHORITY and SINCERITY to get your message across.

I’m sure you already have a form of content marketing strategy in place. What’s even better is if you coupled it with your SEO campaign. However, is it focused?

The Importance of Focused Content for 2016 and Beyond

According to data from Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs, only 5% of B2B marketers say their content marketing tactics are effective. Meanwhile, a good 44% have a neutral stance (either they’re not sure it’s working OR they have no reports to prove it) on the matter. These findings are worrying because it appears many digital marketers are wasting time, money, and effort.

It’s like jumping into a pool without knowing how deep it is. You could end up with a fracture – or worse.

The same could be said for content marketing. As it’s a continuous process of developing, improving, and distributing all types of content, it’s important to understand where all your hard work is going. Is your content good enough to hook your target market? Do you know what people like or hate about the stuff you churn out? What channels do you use for distribution? Is ‘good’ content even enough?

It’s time to step back a little and assess whether your company is on the right track on using content marketing to reach your goals. If you believe your methods are sub-par, here are several suggestions to get you going again.

5 Key Elements to Focused Content Marketing Efforts

The first thing marketers should ask themselves is always WHO is the content for. Remember the adage: ‘trying to please everyone will end up pleasing no one’. Focus your energy to a single market that would benefit the most from your products or services. Be as specific as you can.

For example: instead of aiming for just stay-at-home moms, aim for stay-at-home moms who have children less than a year old. This creates exclusivity and authority. For one, people can feel you specialize on certain subjects. Two, your audience will love the special attention you have put into the tailored content you create.

After you have pointed out exactly who you are marketing to, it’s time to find out WHAT they want to see. This is best done using surveys. You can contact a pro in this field OR use online tools such as Survey Monkey. It also helps to do a little digging by checking most read blogs in your niche.

In a study by Elite Daily, 33% of millennials go to blogs to find out more about certain products BEFORE they buy. Another approach is to analyze trends on social media. Take note of hashtags, community threads, and popular videos. Is your competitor killing it in this department? Don’t forget to learn from them by studying their content.

Next, HOW OFTEN should you produce said content? Some marketers say weekly, others say daily. The right answer is in fact: it depends. If you were able to gain insight on your audience’s online habits, then you’ll know the best days and times to post. In connection with the above principle, the type of content will highly affect when your market should expect them.

For instance: light stuff such as product updates or weekend shout-outs may be posted on a regular basis. This keeps your content and online visibility fresh. However, more comprehensive stuff such as case studies, may be churned out every month or so.

Once you’ve got those details down, DECIDE on the top channels for content distribution. One of the most cost-effective platforms is social media. It’s not surprising that 62% of millennials say they would be loyal to a brand who engages with them on their favorite platforms (like Facebook). Interacting with your audience even BEFORE you promote not only helps you create better content, you get to connect with them on a deeper level. 서울가라오케

Last but not least, don’t forget to ALIGN your products and/or services with the content you have. Your first question should always be: how will customers benefit from this? This puts the spotlight on the people you serve, and it will show in the stuff you produce.

Entrepreneur Richard Branson has always believed in excellent customer service. Thanks to his dedication to giving his customers a meaningful experience, he is one of the most successful and inspiring leaders of today.

Think BIG for Tomorrow’s Content Marketing

I highly believe that content marketing in the future can only be more competitive. The challenge for us is thus twofold: to think outside the box AND to push ourselves into unexplored territory. Surely, the methods we are using now won’t be enough. We need to reach out to people, become more transparent, and be more of a friend than a business.

This demand to go further means that simply tying your SEO with content marketing may not be enough. It should be a seamless experience for your user. A true Optimization expert would be able to help you in this endeavor. When it comes to the future of content marketing, remember to choose a digital marketer who has a huge view of tomorrow.

After all, the scope of content is also very big.

Have you ever looked at your website analytics and wondered why people don’t stay for too long?

This is known as bounce rate. It happens when a percentage of online visitors land on a certain page on your website (typically the homepage) but quickly navigate away. A big bounce rate can signal search engine algorithms that your website is NOT user-friendly, and may affect your rankings on search results. Lower rankings mean lower web traffic; which in turn, could lead to lower sales.

We had this problem about a month ago, when our Analytics data showed 74 percent bounce rate on our homepage.

We knew some things had to change; otherwise, we might lose traffic or worst: receive no leads. As there are a number of factors influencing bounce rates (like user behavior, site design, navigation, etc.), it’s important to address this issue quickly so your users can have a better time on your site. Here’s our recent Analytics result in just a matter months you can see obvious decrease.

With a few simple tweaks, we were able to take control of our bounce rate while providing better user experience for site visitors. You too, can improve your homepage by following these simple suggestions.

#1 Go Above-The-Fold

Never underestimate that little space that first greets online users – especially today when people hardly have patience to scroll past a few sentences. That area, known as ‘above-the-fold’, is responsible for grabbing 80 percent of a user’s attention. The main rule is to place important elements (such as your company’s slogan, a CTA, and a great image) WITHOUT overcrowding it.

But how do you accomplish this if you want to convey more details about your product/service in one go? Simple: use video. A short production, coupled with a convincing copy and clear Call-to-Action will help visitors from different devices view your offers without being bogged down by details.

Tip: for faster site speed, avoid embedding videos using iframe. Try a plugin instead.

#2 Design for the Eye

Whether we like it or not, the aesthetic aspect of a website affects a user’s choice to stay on it. According to digital marketing expert Neil Patel, ’90 percent of all product assessments have to do with color’. Use people’s preferences and associations with color to make a good impression. For example: blue signifies trust. It would therefore be a good hue to use on insurance, social networking, or real estate websites. Use tools like Adobe Kuler to pick the right color combinations.

Tip: use shades from your company logo for a consistent, yet powerful look.

#3 Employ User- and Search Engine-Friendly Copy

Images, video, and site design are great – but drive the point home with convincing copy. This is tricky as it will require you to A/B test several copies until you find the right one for your business. However, start by checking how many clicks your CTA is getting. If it’s less than stellar, try changing your copy by incorporating more result-oriented, actionable words. Active or descriptive terms such as ‘quick’, ‘get’, ‘sign up’, and ‘show’ are more powerful because they give people images to visualize.

In several tests done by Joanna Wiebe from Copyhackers, they discovered that simple changes in CTA copy can affect clicks significantly.

#4 Speed Things Up

Did you know that a 1 second delay in page response can lead to a 7 percent decrease in site conversion? According to one survey, a website that earns about $100,000 a day could lose up to $2.5 million a year if they don’t resolve page load issues. Plenty of factors could affect page load speeds, so be sure to test each one, especially the coding you’re using. Remember that not all devices and browsers can read Javascript elements, so keep those to a minimum.

Another thing to watch out for are broken URLs. Not only are they annoying to site visitors, they can cause lags when viewing your page because they result in 404/410 errors. Fixing them will not only improve your load speed, online users will also appreciate the gesture.

Tip: keep load times between 3 to 4 seconds by removing unnecessary plug-ins and compressing images.

#5 Test and Compare!

Don’t forget to run a test to make sure you employed the right changes. Use tools like Pingdom to analyze elements that may be bogging down on your site speed, thus causing an increase in bounce rates. Google Analytics is another basic online tool to check for bounce rate data. Once you have implemented these modifications, allow for at least a week or two before you can see results.

Don’t confuse bounce rate with exit rate: an exit rate is the percentage of visitors that leave your website from a certain page. Not all pages will have a bounce rate, but all pages will have a unique exit rate. A healthy bounce rate should be around 50 percent or less. Working to improve this figure will also increase your chances of conversion. Think about it: the more time people spend on your page, the higher the chances of convincing them to try your offers. It’s a win-win! 구글SEO

So don’t ignore your bounce rates. Instead, use it as a starting point to create changes that would benefit you – and your consumers.
