Brooke + Jessica are Married | Hyatt Grand Cypress | Orlando, Florida

Welcome back blog followers! Yes it’s true our season has started very early this year! We were so thrilled to hear our good friend Brooke found the love of her life and was ready to take the committed leap into marriage.

You always remember your first. Your first love, your first time you ran a 5K, the first time you  achieved a goal you’ve worked so hard to accomplish. Well, Miss Jessica and Miss Brooke will forever be Alternative Life’s very first Same Sex Marriage! I have to say –  right out of the box  - I don’t like calling their marriage “same sex marriage” because to me, there is no difference. These two girls are so in love and to Bowie and I, this is the only thing in the world that matters. Their family is incredibly supportive, loving and amazing. I balled at the toast given by all the family members because they support and love these two ladies so very much. Brooke and Jessica have found comfort and stability and true love in each other and that is a beautiful thing. I’ve know Brooke fow a long time  and I’ve never seen her as happy, humble and sweet as she was on the day she married Jessica!

We had the pleasure working at the Hyatt Grand Cypress in Orlando. As you may know Bowie and I have some amazing history in Orlando! We jumped at the chance to head down and be apart of this great event. We would like to give a special thanks to Jennifer at Just Marry! She was such a pleasure to work with and we were thankful to have her and her team around! OK – I’m done talking – Please check out the photos of this amazing wedding day! Just a side note – IT. WAS. FREEZING. Orlando was freezing on the day of the wedding – but these ladies had their dream wedding – and it was beautiful! Cheers to ALL the love in the world – and all the laughter through tears!

Greetings blog fans! We are SO excited to share something a little different today.

Sometimes we have clients who are a little camera shy. We like to take clients personalities and really work them into our sessions. When clients are a little on the “shy side” we try and figure out where they are most comfortable. For this totally smitten couple – in the kitchen with wine, food and music from the 90s was the perfect fit! (I mean who does NOT like food, WINE and music) These two love birds were able to snag this INSANE house in Blue Ridge Georgia for their amazing session! Amy and Austin have been together for a really long time (if I’m not mistake almost as long as Bowie and I have been married). We are so thrilled for these two love birds and can not WAIT to be apart of their wedding in the coming months.

We would also like to thank one of the best in the Biz – Beyond the Diamond. We have been working with Miss Senoirae Ventura on a ton of project lately and we can’t wait to work with her on Amy and Austin’s wedding in July! On a very unseasonably warm winter day Bowie and I met Lindsay and Danie at the amazing, golden and beautiful Montaluce Vineyard.  Like any perfect day, we all started out the session with a great taste of wine! (I knew that Lindsay and Danie were perfect matches for Bowie and I when on our initial meeting Lindsay’s drink of choice was – you guessed it – WINE!) Once we had some time to relax and chat, we started our love session with two little puppies that are so special to the bride and groom! These adorable dogs could not steal the show from the love the Danie and Lindsay share (but they came pretty close) We are SO excited for Lindsay and Danie up coming nuptials June of this year at the Carl House. We’ve not shot there yet and can not WAIT to check out this amazing new venue. (new for us) We are so thrilled for Lindsay and Danie and we hope you guys love the photos.  Remember these wonderful people?

Well we sure do and we are very excited to share that Tanja and Bob are expecting a beautiful baby boy in the coming weeks! We are so excited to share in the amazing moments of our clients. Not only are their families growing and changing but it is starting to shape the nature of Alternative Life Photography & Design. When we started our business we had no idea where time would take us. Now with maternity, a birth, family portraits and so many amazing weddings under our lens Bowie and I are just so thrilled to be apart of this world. Capturing moments and memories is one of the most important things I think I do and we really love our jobs! As we reflect on the new year and where our amazing business is headed we think back on Tanja and Robert. It was a pivotal wedding in our career  and I have to say it’s thanks to Mrs. Tanja for being the biggest cheerleader in the biz! We wish all the best for Tanja, Bob and the new little on that’s on the way. Check out their sweet maternity session below at the amazing High Museum of Art
