La Mesa Friday Food Fest

Okay so how awesome was Mangiamangia Mobile on Monday here at Alterra? Food trucks are always a great convenience, and there are plenty of food truck events in San Diego. Check out an upcoming Friday Food Truck event happening in San Diego below.

On Friday, February 10th, head over to University between 5PM and 8PM for La Mesa Food Fest Fridays. Some of the food trucks that have participated include and me be there on Friday:

If you have never really experienced a La Mesa Food Fest Friday, here are a few things to remember. There is usually nothing free from the the food trucks, so please make sure you have money. A lot of the food trucks will only accept cash, so make sure you have some extra cash with you. $20 or less would be the best amount to bring with since many trucks will not have change for higher bills. 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

Recycle your holiday tree at the EDCO Station right here in La Mesa this January!

The holiday season is officially over. Have you started taking down your holiday decorations yet? Did you and your family have a live holiday tree this year?

How will you be disposing of your holiday tree? You can help make a positive difference in your community, as well as the environment, by donating your tree to be recycled right here in La Mesa!

Through Monday, January 16, 2012, Holiday Tree Recycling will be available at the EDCO Station (located at 8184 Commercial Street in La Mesa). Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday (from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm) and Sunday (from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm).

All trees dropped of at the EDCO Station will be recycled into mulch, which will be available to La Mesa residents for free on a self-load/self-haul basis. Residents are asked to place their trees inside collection containers only. Make sure all holiday decorations (ornaments, tinsel, lights, etc) are removed before dropping off your tree.
