From Code to Camera – A Creative Evolution
Al’s journey began during his undergraduate years at NUS, where his eye for design led him to become a sought-after website designer for online retailers. With his earnings, he purchased his first camera and fell in love with the art of photography. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a lifelong passion. He honed his skills experimenting with light, angles, and colour tones, discovering that a “perfect photo” is one that moves the heart and evokes genuine emotion.
As word of his unique style spread, Al found himself regularly commissioned to shoot family portraits, corporate events, and personal celebrations. Yet it was wedding photography that truly called to him, where every frame carried meaning, intimacy, and the beauty of fleeting moments.

Leaving behind a successful banking career, Al founded Altissimo Studios to pursue wedding and bridal photography full time. His studio name, “Altissimo,” meaning “the highest” in Italian, reflects the lofty standards he sets for every shoot and every client experience.

For actual day weddings, I take a documentary-style approach. I rarely direct or pose my couples, preferring to stay in the background and capture authentic, unscripted moments as they naturally unfold—much like a visual storyteller or “ninja with a camera.” I make full use of natural light during the day, and in the evening, I combine ambient light with flash photography to retain the atmosphere while ensuring clean, flattering skin tones.
For pre-wedding photoshoots, my style is a mix of traditional posing and candid photojournalism. I actively guide couples while paying close attention to facial expressions, body language, background composition, lighting, and symmetry to create visually striking and emotionally resonant images.
Whether it’s your wedding day or a styled shoot, I aim to make the experience relaxed and enjoyable, delivering timeless photographs that tell your unique love story.

Yes, all delivered images are professionally assessed for exposure, color balance, and overall tone. Each photo is edited and color-graded to ensure consistency and a polished, timeless look.
For pre-wedding photoshoots, additional retouching services are included. This may involve subtle enhancements to skin, lighting, and background details to create a refined finish while keeping the natural look intact.
Please note: Basic editing (such as color correction, exposure adjustment, and minor blemish removal) is different from digital manipulation. Requests like changing backgrounds, adding or removing people, or advanced composite work fall under digital manipulation and are charged separately.

For a typical 10-hour actual day wedding coverage, you can expect to receive approximately 600 to 900 edited high-resolution images, depending on the flow and events of the day. Every important moment—from candid reactions to key ceremonies—will be thoughtfully captured and delivered.
Please note that RAW files and unedited “digital negatives” are not provided under any circumstances. This is to ensure that all images you receive reflect my professional standards in terms of lighting, color, and composition.
