To promote the upcoming movie, The Last Exorcist, a creative advertising company fooled a bunch of people, using Chatroulette.com, into thinking they were talking to an attractive woman. As this woman was about to initiate a coy peek show, she instead showed them something completely different. The video is below, it’s an awesome idea, and quickly went viral on the net.

Watching it, I wondered what an average geek’s response would have been to her transformation. Although I imagine some disappoint in the lack of exposed boobies, the resulting surprise might have garnered excitement in excess of what her nudity would have provided. I mean, lots of us have wondered what it’d be like to be in a zombie apocalypse, imagine then if you’d suddenly received proof that a zombie exists? Darwin, of course, grabbed his demon-slaying axe, and mentally prepared for his self-appointed calling.

Format’s a Flutter

Due to the recent success of Altsad’s Friend Down There comic post, which received an amazing 700 hits, I’m going to be switching Altsad’s Monday posts to a self-contained 3 panel format. For a while now people have been telling me that they like Altsad, but they don’t have any idea what is going on. The full page format, that I had before, required someone to have read previous Altsad pages to understand the current story line. These 3 panel self-contained comics don’t suffer from that requirement, and should be more appealing to a much larger audience.

To all of those who enjoyed the ongoing storyline, don’t worry, I’m not abandoning it. I plan on continuing my work on The House of Kali as I have time, with the goal being to deliver a 16 page comic 2 or 3 times a year. Having 16 pages all at once, instead of 1 every Monday, should help with story coherence and be more entertaining all around. Although I haven’t made up my mind if I plan on starting over from the beginning and re-working the art, or if I should continue where I left off. Please feel free to let me know which you prefer, and I’ll let everyone know as soon as I make a decision.

I hope you all enjoy the new Altsad format.

p.s. Outside of the format did anyone notice anything else different with last Monday’s comic post? It had something I’ve been needing to practice for some time now…

Monday Comic Preview

I feel like it’s time to try something new. I”m going to try to change the page layouts for Altsad to something more dynamic. It means more work for me but I like the look more, it flows better. Below is a preview of Monday’s comic. I did it on a sketch just to see how it would work out, but I like the looks of it. I’m also going to add shadows if I have time.
