Whilst the amount of oil I personally consume per year in the grander scheme of things is pretty small, it takes lots of smalls to make a big. Instead of burning through 4-5 oil changes with petroleum based products a year, I now burn through 1 change of synthetic. Now imagine if 50 million more people did that in America. That makes an impact. I didn't need any more reasons to switch, but this is one that would have helped me decide if I was on the fence. I think this is a very valid statement. I really want to put one in my truck, although for the amount of miles put on it I've found it a bit hard to justify the time and cost.
