Yes, It is true God still works miracles in our lives, even if they are sometimes small we should not see them as insignificant, but rather be thankful for them. Yesterday, as I was preparing for my upcoming Christian Charm School Workshop in Tupelo this weekend I realized that my printer was not going to do the job I needed to print the 25 workbooks for the event. So, I was racking my brain as to how I would get the items printed that I needed. I live in a rural area, so a printing place is not on every corner. Less than 15 minutes though after this thought crossed my mind I received an email from a friend of mine who explained she needed to go out of town today for work but wondered if I’d like to ride with her. I was ecstatic because she was going to be going to a bigger town and was going to have some time to kill where we could go shopping or whatever. I immediately asked could we go to a copy place to get my workbooks printed, she said, “Sure.”

I immediately thought, “thank you Lord, who else could have done that but you?” Then, today as we were driving home from our trip, and had my workbooks in the back seat, the event coordinator for this weekend’s event calls my cell phone to confirm everything and let me know how many tickets she had sold to the event. As of Easter Sunday, she had only sold 16, but as of today that number had grown to 25. Going only on the earlier number of 16 I took a good guess and printed 25 workbooks. Again I realized that only God could have made that happen. I told her what I thought and she too agreed and we praised God for his working things out.

God still works miracles people, whether you see these small coincidences as God’s work or not, I do and believe they mean he is being me and my efforts. Praise HIM!

I have so much to look forward to in the next few months. It is all very exciting. I can’t believe how fast this year is passing by. Last weekend we celebrated my baby girl’s first birthday. Now, I am looking forward to speaking at First Baptist Church, Tupelo, MS next weekend. It won’t be long until my son is out of school for summer, we are finishing up his Spring Break. He goes back to school Tuesday, and then he won’t have anymore holidays until he is out in May.

June is our next busy month as Greg and I will be traveling to North Carolina for the Proverbs 31 She Speaks Conference which I am super excited about attending. Then in July, baby #3 is set to make his arrival into our family. I am due on July 14. So this will be a busy summer. I love having things to look forward to. Wonderful Blessings!

As a WAHM, I have struggled with the issue of making enough money. I am finally at a point where my income is where I want it to be. I feel truly blessed for that. Some of the reason that I had not made this money sooner is because I was afraid to charge what I was worth and I was afraid to put myself out there and actually put my services up for offer. I did not start my Writer for Hire business without the coaching of someone who said “you can do it!” Maybe you feel this way too, maybe you are still not charging what you are worth or even offering your services that could bring in some income for yourself because you have some fear holding you back.

I wrote the following article a while back on this topic. As a Christian I felt that I did not need to make money the biggest priority but realize that it is a part of life so here are my thoughts on the topic.

Earning Your Pay

The Bible says, “Money is the root of all evil.” Maybe this is why many Christians in business today have a hard time charging for their services. As Christians, we sometimes feel that we are doing something wrong when we charge higher fees to complete work for our clients. However, God invented work, and therefore he believes that we should work and receive a wage for our work. After all, they did it in the Bible. Do you not recall the stories of the farmers paying the field workers?

God invented all of these concepts so he must agree that we should receive payment for what we do. Therefore, do not feel guilty for charging your clients for the services that you provide to them, as long as you are providing high quality work that you can be proud of, and that is not taking from your clients in any way what you do not deserve.

Other than that, you should not feel guilty in billing what you are worth. Decide what your time is worth, what your services are worth, and bill accordingly. Then, strive to put out high quality work, and you might even want to go beyond that. A popular concept is to “under promise and over deliver.” Meaning promise that the work will be done, say, “by the end of the week”, however deliver early, therefore over delivering on your promise. This will impress your clients and most likely win you repeat customers.

Being paid is apart of our lives. What is important is that we value the money that we receive correctly. Respecting that our clients had to earn the money, and remembering that we must give back to God a portion of what we earned. In everything that we do including the way by which you go about earning your wage you should be striving to honor God.

If you do this, you will surely not be guilty of allowing money to take the part of evil in your life.

At my last event Mala Burns, the event coordinator used her video camera to make an awesome video of the event. I received it in the mail today and I used clips from it to create a via for myself and my ministry. I am sooo excited about it and have put it up on Youtube.com and Godtube.com. I will also share it here with you and it will be available on my ministry website for your viewing pleasure at any time. I would love your thoughts on it. What does the video say to you?

Last night, I went to my monthly Tomgirls meeting. Tomgirls (Together on Mission) is a group of girls in my church who are all around the same age and have children the same age. We are considered a division of WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) and work together to do mission projects, have Bible study and prayer time. This group has grown over the past few years that we have had it and where as it used to be 6 or 8 of us there are now 10 or 12 of us. We meet only once per month as we all lead busy lives, but we all love this one night we get to be together to eat, fellowship, study, share and pray together.

Last night’s meeting proved as usual to be eventful, fun and full of great conversations. I feel that it is good when you are still thinking about points made the next morning and pumped with adrenaline over how God worked in our lives through a single meeting together. You know the Bible says, “where two or three are gathered together in His name God is there”. I feel that this was the case for us last night.

The meeting as I mentioned left my adrenaline pumping and had lit a fire in my heart. We after all had discussed a few topics that I am very passionate about, including teenagers and the some of the issues that they face today, including teen pregnancy, busyness, and a genuine lack of motivation as witnessed by many of us who have the privilege of working with them.

Our discussion was great, including a testimony from one of our members who had a teenage pregnancy, having her daughter at age 16. She shared her story and we were all inspired. She is a wonderful example of someone overcoming a bad situation to rise above it and become a strong Christian woman. So many teen girls out there need to hear her story, I hope that she will share it as we encouraged her to do. I have asked her to write it down, if nothing else and I would love to use it in my ministry to girls.

As we were discussing, quite a few times I felt that I got a bit heated about several of the comments that were made and afterwards worried that I had hurt someone’s feelings or said the wrong things. However, this morning I spoke to a couple of the girls to question whether I came across the wrong way, and then I did some thinking about it as well.

I really feel good about it now that it is all said and done because, as I shared with the group via email, some of the topics discussing last night, specifically the next generation, especially the girls, I am so passionate about helping. I am passionate about girls living a life of purity. I am passionate about girl’s knowing and doing the will of God, and finding God’s call on their life. I am passionate about those of us who have come before them, leading them down the right path, through our own actions, modeling for them the right lifestyle.

As I shared with my friends, we this generation that is in our 20s-30s now have such a responsibility to mentor and model for the next generation a Godly lifestyle. As an old saying says, “You may be the only Bible some will ever read.” What are they reading as they watch you live your life? Also, are you passionate enough about your relationship with Christ and about the eternal condition of those around you to show your passion?

We are all passionate about something, however, it is important that we share that passion with others. It is more important however that we model a Godly lifestyle for everyone who comes in contact with us. There is a fine line to walk as we try to do both. It is my prayer that I am doing both well.

What about you? Where do you stand?

Most of the advertising agencies favor dedicated servers only. Some close the deal with any web hosting service. Later the webmaster tries everything from pay per click to other marketing plans but cannot expiate for the loss.

I have so far since Saturday, written one of my speeches for this Saturday’s upcoming Beauty by Design Event, produced this week’s podcast, created a Sweet Tea Contest for the show, produced this week’s Ezine, which I was shocked is #49, wrote 7 articles for clients, and a few more things. I’m really happy to have gotten it all done and hope that I will be on a roll for this busy week ahead. I have to write at least 7 articles per day today - Thursday in order to meet the deadlines I have for my Writer for Hire clients, and I have to finish up preparing for this weekend’s event.

Luckily, I don’t have many outside activities going on where I’ll be away from the house, other than routine grocery shopping on Thursday, my calendar is empty until I leave on Friday to go to Carthage for Saturday’s event. I can’t wait! Excited about ministering and speaking to the girls and their moms, plus the added bonus that I get a night away all to myself. I’ll be eating dinner with the ladies who coordinated the event and get some much needed “me” time to help prepare myself for the event on Saturday. What a blessing!

If a cheap web hosting deal proves to be propitious for your web development, close the deal. If you can have dedicated servers in an economical package, why not go for it? One such name is that of anhosting.

Wow! I’ve never been so happy to see Friday. I have been sick for over 2 weeks now and just when I thought I might be better, no way, it’d come back. But finally yesterday I went to see the Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor, got some meds and nose spray and I am on my way to recovery for real this time I hope. I do feel a ton better today. I even worked on my ministry stuff and writing, putting in over 4 hours of work.

I recorded a new podcast that will air on Monday at Mom-Daughter Connection Radio Show and created a contest with Cara from Cara’s Cafe. You can read more details on that on Monday.

Greg and I received our federal tax refund today and spent most of it already. Luckily in a smart way, we paid off several debts, registered Baker for school next year, and paid our property taxes. Then, I sent off the registration fee to the She Speaks Conference to Proverbs 31 Ministries. I am sooo excited that I’m going.

Tonight, my Greg and I are going to a dinner party with my girls, The Tomgirls, and their hubbies. We will then play games afterwards all at our church. I’m really looking forward to it, but can’t believe I have to wait until 7pm to eat supper, we eat at 5:30 pm here normally. I’ll be starving. I joked that I would just eat supper twice tonight. The joys of being pregnant, you can eat all you want.

I am having boy #2. My son is soooo happy. He had said from the time we told him he was having another baby brother or sister that it was a boy baby because he already had a girl baby. I’m excited that he’s sooo happy. We were going to be happy either way. We’re glad we already have a name picked out, Brady Cade. We will call him Brady.
