Long time since my last update, I really sorry, lately it has been very difficult to post a new entry.
I only can say that there has been a lot of issues that must be resolve, also there was some problems in my family and basically it has been very busy here. By the way in january 23 was my birthday, even if I didn't feel a spirit to enjoy this day, I did it. Now I'm 29. cool! I'm not agains to hide my age, it doesn't matter is just a number, and that's all.

As I said there was some problems in the family, my dad had a little problem with his health, by the way, now he feels much better, he's recovering. Also, we had bad news, the last week, my grandmother passed away (my dad's mother), I feel sad for my dad and also because she passed away. It's difficult to explain but I never met her, at least I don't have any memory about her and that's so sad, I really I would like to have had the opportunity to met her. As I said is long to explain. I just know that now she's in a better place, at least she's not suffering any pain and that's good. Wherever she is, good bless her.

2012 came with some problems at the beginning, but now after the storm there is calm, well it seems.

Let's see what will bring this new year. I'll do my best.

Ricardo Miras trabaja como fotógrafo desde mediados de los ochenta. Comenzó su trayectoria
como asistente de Mike Marshal durante un año, y de José L. Méndez durante dos más,
ambos reconocidos fotógrafos publicitarios.

En 1984 abre su estudio fotográfico en Barcelona, donde se dedica a la fotografía editorial,
convirtiéndose en uno de los retratistas más reconocidos de España.

Entre otros, han posado delante de su cámara personajes como Antoni Tàpies, James Ellroy,
Jacqueline Bisset, Will Smith, Inés Sastre, Montserrat Caballé, José Carreras,
Mario Vargas Llosa, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, Judit Mascó, Valeria Mazza,
Bret Easton Ellis, Pau Gasol o Jean Cacharel.

En 1994 da el salto a la fotografía publicitaria firmando campañas a nivel nacional e internacional
para marcas como Nike, Camper, Ballantine's, Beefeater, J&B, Audi, SEAT, Mitsubishi,
BMW, Carolina Herrera, Rolex, Yamaha o Iberia.

¿Cómo fueron sus inicios?

Empezó todo en la adolescencia, eramos un grupo de tres amigos aficionados a la fotografía; paso a paso fuimos adentrándonos en el mundo de las cámaras, objetivos, el cuarto oscuro? conforme fueron pasando los años, fui el único de los tres que le siguió interesando este mundillo. Posteriormente, acabados los estudios, me formé en la escuela Idep, y me especialicé en publicidad. Una vez finalice los cursos de fotografía, estuve como asistente durante dos años, y fue seguido con la apertura de mi primer estudio.

¿Cómo es trabajar para grandes marcas?

Ni mejor ni peor que para medianas o pequeñas. Todo se puede resumir en un dicho: "en todas partes cuecen habas".

¿Nos podría comentar cómo ha sido el trabajo de las fotografías para Grito Canalla?

Divertido y fluido. Divertido porqué formamos un grupo de trabajo muy pro. Y con buenas vibraciones, y fluido porqué hubo bueno y rápido entendimiento.

Le podría dar un consejo a las personas que están comenzando en esta profesión?

Que la sigan con dedicación y pasión; si no, mejor dedicarse a otra cosa. Tienen que pensar que es una profesión con dedicación constante; por eso es imprescindible que te apasione.

Ricardo Miras works as photographer since the mid-eighties. He began his career as an assistant to Mike Marshal for one year, and José L. Méndez for two more years, both renowned advertising photographers.

How were your beginnings?

All began in adolescence, we were a group of three friend’s, amateur photographers, step by step we enter in the world of photography, the years passed, and I was the only one of the three that followed interesting in this world of photography. Then, I finished school, I trained in the school “idep”, and majored in advertising. Once completed the courses in photography, I was an assistant for two years and, it was followed with the opening of my first photographic studio.

How is working for big brands?

Neither better nor worse than for medium or small. Everything can be summarized in a saying: "baked beans everywhere."

Could you comment about how it has been the work of the photographs for “Grito Canalla”?

It was fun and fluid. Fun because we are a very pro-labor group. And with good vibrations, and fluent because, there was a good and fast understanding....

Could you give an advice to people who are starting in this profession?

That they should continue with dedication and passion, if not, better do something else.
They have to think that this is a profession where is needed constant dedication, so it’s imperative that you must feel passion for this profession.

Es un buen canal de Youtube para escuchar audios en japonés. La autora de los videos habla sobre una plabra y la explica, al final dá algunos consejos de como utilizar la palabra. Es muy útil porque ella habla lento y es muy fácil entender lo que dice.

Esta entrada está inspirada en un video blog que acabo de ver (ver video al final).
Me parece interesante los puntos que plantea sobre hacer amigos en Japón,
hasta el momento yo no he ido a Japón y no puedo opinar mucho sobre el tema pero me gustaría hablar
de la experiencia que tengo sobre los amigos en línea.

He conocido mucha gente y al principio es muy fácil hacer una conversación, porque se hacen preguntas básicas y todas esas cosas, pero lo cierto es que con el tiempo tanto ellos como tú van perdiendo el interés, porque no sabes como comunicarse y viceversa.

Hacer un amigo de habla hispana parece ser muy sencillo porque hay gustos similares y bueno el idioma lo fácilita mucho, pero he de decir que incluso con gente que habla español es dificil de entenderse, ya que hay muchas formas coloquiales en cada país y con significados muy diferentes a lo que uno se imagina.

Hacer una amistad en línea con las personas de Japón tiene mucho que ver con prácticar algún idioma, por ejemplo que alguno quiera aprender tu lengua materna ó algún idioma extra que hayas aprendido, y lo mismo uno busca compañeros con los que puedas aprender ó prácticar algún idioma que estés estudiando ó prácticando.

Pienso que estos amigos que conozco en un principio me contáctaron por esa razón, pero he de decir que con el tiempo con algunos me he hecho muy cercana, y agradezco que cada uno me haya dado ese espacio en su vida, quizás sean unos minutos para contestar un email, una carta, un twitter ó un chat, es importante para mi y lo agaradezco. Algunos me han dado la oportunidad de conocerlos más y veo lo diferentes que son entre si, algunos muy serios, otros muy alegres, algunos que de poco en poco te van contando su vida cotidiana, otros que pienso que podría haber una amistad más profunda pero debido a las diferencias de los idiomas no nos ha sido posible conocernos más, incluso la diferencia de los horarios ha sido un contratiempo; y es en verdad increible la forma en que es cada una de estas personas.
Diferentes edades, ocupaciones, creencias, hombres y mujeres, todos tienen algo interesante que aportar.
Para mi aún es dificil entenderlos porque apesar de que he ido aprendiendo un poco más de su idioma, aún es dificil, pero conforme vas aprendiendo vas entendiendo más la forma de ser de cada uno. Estoy muy felíz de conocerlos. Gracias!

Creo que el hacer amigos depende mucho de como seas con la otra persona, que tan abierto ó que tan cerrado desees ser, seguir de cierta forma un poco su cultura, es decir ser respetuosos, pero también no dejar de ser tu mismo y así como uno busca esa ayuda de aprender, uno también prestar esa ayuda. Finalmente todos somos seres humanos y debemos ayudarnos los unos a los otros. Siempre he creido que el principal problema del ser humano es que existen tantos idiomas que todos entienden lo que quieren. Osea el principal problema es la falta de comunicación y de entendimiento. Por lo que el tener un amigo ya sea en línea ó en físico siempre va a tener sus pros y sus contras, dependerá de cada persona que tanto quiere profundizar esa relación de amistad.

I find it interesting the points he talks in the video about making friends in Japan,
until now I don’t have the opportunity of traveling to Japan and I can’t give my opinion about it, but I’d like to talk about my own experience making friends online.

I have met many people and at the beginning it’s so easy begin a conversation, because you make basic questions and that kind of stuff, but the truth is that over time both lose interest, because you don’t know how to communicate and they don't know either how to communicate with you.

Make a friend who speaks your own language seems be very easy because there are similar tastes and there are so many things to do it easier, but even with people who speak Spanish is difficult to understand, why? Because there are many colloquial forms in each country and meanings are so different of what you think.

Make an online friendship with people from Japan has much to do with practicing a language, for example someone want to learn your language or any extra language you have learned, and the same for you, looking for a person to practice or learn a language you are studying or practicing.

I think those friends I know, at the beginning they contacted me for that reason, but I've to say that over time with some of them, we became very close friends, and I really thank to everyone that gave me a space in their life, perhaps for taking a few minutes to answer a letter, an email, a twitter or a chat, it's very important to me and I really appreciate it. Some of them have given me the opportunity to learn more about them and I see how different they are from each other. Some of them are very serious, others very funny and so nice, some of them little by little told me about their daily life, what they think, and how they feel, with others I think we can be very good friends but the idiomatic barrier has been a little big problem, and that's why we can't talk often, and thus for knowing to each other. Even the difference of hours between countries has been a problem, but even with that kind of normal problems, I can see the amazing way of being of each one. I'm very glad to know you. Thanks you!

Different ages, works, occupations, beliefs, men and woman, all of them have something interesting to share.
For me it's still difficult to understand their language, because even if I have learned a little bit more, there is still a long way to learn, so still it's difficult, but as you learn you can understand a little bit more the way of being of each one and that's amazing.

I think for making friends depends a lot of your way to be with the other person, how open mind or narrow mind you want to be, follow a little their culture, I mean respect the way they are, be polite but also be friendly and over all be yourself. So if you are looking for help to learn, well I think you should provide the same assistance for other person who seeks help for learning.

Finally, we are human being and we must help to each other. I've always believed that the main problem of the humanity is that there are so many languages that everyone understand what they want. So I think the main problem is lack of communication and understanding. So having a friend either online or in person will always have their pros and cons, depends of each person how deep will be their friendships.

Metal Girl Bands

Desde hace un tiempo no he encontrado temas interesantes para subir al blog, a veces me es dificil encontrar algo que me gustaría compartir, siento que me he vuelto muy quisquillosa.

Pero sucede que navegando por youtube me encontré con las Metal Girl Bands, sinceramente y aunque me gusta mucho la música nunca me había escuchado este genero, por lo general los grupos masculinos son más famosos por este lado del continente por lo que escuchar una Metal Girl Band es dificil.

Supongo que también no he tenido interes en buscar nueva música, últimamente solo he escuchado lo nuevo de Nightmare, Alias y alguna otra cosa de The Gazette, porque ahora lo que más escucho son los audios del libro de minna no nihongo xD Bueno el caso es que me econtré con dos grupos interesantes, uno se llama "Exist trance" y el otro grupo se llama "Aldious". Me parece interesante el sonido de ambas bandas, aunque a mi en lo personal me gustó más "Exist Trance", creo que la voz de la vocalista es muy buena y el sonido de la música es excelente.

Since a time ago, I have not found interesting topics to share in my blog, sometimes is difficult to find something that I really would like to share; I feel I’ve become a little bit picky.

But today, I was browsing through Youtube and I found metal girl bands, honestly I like music very much, but I have never listened this genre of music, usually male bands are more famous and most people in this side of the continent likes this kind of bands, so listening a Metal girl band is difficult.

I suppose I had no interest in looking for new music, lately I’ve only heard the new single of Nightmare, Alias and The Gazette, because now what I hear most are the mp3 of the book Minna no nihongo xD Well the case is I listened two interesting groups, one is called "Exist trance" and the other is called "Aldious". I think the sound of both bands is really good, although I liked most "Exist trance". I think the voice of the vocalist is really good, and the sound of the music is excellent.

Unfortunately I couldn't go to see X Japan, because some money stuff. Anyway, I'm very glad to know they came to Mexico and other groups from Japan will visit this country very soon. If you wasn't able to go as me, in Youtube you will find several videos about this concert.

There are alot of comments about this concert, some people liked and other didn't.
By what I saw in Youtube, In my opinion, I think they did a pretty good concert. (^_-)b

But I have to be honest, I'd like to see X Japan but in Japan, I think the show is pretty different and awesome.

Pues últimamente he estado bastante ocupada, por algunas situaciones que sucedieron en mi familia, que pudimos resolver con éxito, y también por trabajo de diseño y traducción, bueno pues si no sale de una que salga de lo otro no? y bueno por fin encontré un tiempito para actualizar el blog.

Muchas cosas han estado cambiando, asi que decidí rediseñar el blog, pero aún no tengo bien definido el estilo que utilizaré, asi que tengo que pensarlo con muchooo cuidado. También hice algunos cambios en mi página personal, que aun no termino por cierto, y también agregué nuevas imagenes al portafolio.

Bueno este blog aún está activo, y espero tenerlo por muchos años más.

Muchas gracias a las personas que han seguido visitando este humilde blog y que espero que encuentren cosas que les sean de utilidad y que también pasen un buen rato.

Lately I have been very busy, and I couldn't update this blog. Some issues in my family that we can resolve with success and also I had some work of design and translation, but finally I found a time to update the blog.

Hace un tiempo comencé a escuchar a Alias, es un grupo Japonés con un concepto interesante. Me agrada la mezcla de sonidos que utilizan, algo así como entre lo antigüo y lo moderno. Además de que la voz de la vocalista es muy bonita y tiene fuerza. Muy diferente a lo que acostumbro escuchar. Me gustan las nuevas propuestas y es por eso que apoyo mucho a este grupo, son gente muy talentosa que le ha estado hechando ganas desde hace mucho tiempo.

Hace un par de años que tuve la fortuna de conocer el trabajo de Tomo Asaha por myspace, cuando tenia el Heaven's factory, y ya desde ese entonces él ya tenia un buen rato trabajando en varios proyectos. Después me acuerdo que comenzó a surgir Alias pero todavía tardaron bastante tiempo en comenzar a grabar. Y luego conoci el trabajo de Kiyoch, este muchacho es muy creativo por cierto y de muy buen sentido del humor xD. Y respecto a las ilustraciones, excelente trabajo el de Satsuki Ekawa.

Y bueno el caso es que todos los miembros de Alias son excelentes músicos y creo que van por buen camino.
De verdad les deseo mucho éxito y creo que va a ser un grupo que va a sobresalir y van a lograr grandes cosas.

Lo curioso es que todos ellos viven en lugares diferentes, Tomo en Estados Unidos, los otros chavos viven en Japón pero en diferentes prefecturas; para mí eso es ganas de querer hacer algo y el punto es que lo están logrando, apesar de que trabajan a distancia pues se organizaron y ya está por salir a la venta su album debut que se llama EVERMORE, sale a la venta el 31 de Julio y estará disponible en Itunes y por amazon.

A while ago I started to listen to Alias, a Japanese group with an interesting concept. I like the mix of sounds they use, is something between the old and new. In addition, the voice of vocalist is very nice and is strong. Very different from what I usually hear. I like the new proposals and that is why I support a lot to this group, they are very talented people who has been working hard since a long time.

A couple of years ago, I was fortunate to know the work of Tomo Asaha for myspace, when he had Heaven's factory ( actually still he has ) , and since that time he already had a time working on various projects. Then I remember that began to emerge Alias but took some time to start recording. And then I knew the work of Kiyo, this boy is certainly very creative and has a very good sense of humor xD. And about the illustrations, excellent work of Satsuki Ekawa.

Well the fact is that all members of Alias are excellent musicians and I think They are on the right way.

I really wish them much success and I think it will be a group that will excel and will accomplish great things.

The funny thing is they live in different places, For example Tomo lives in U.S., the other members of Alias are living in Japan but in different prefectures, and for me that's like they really wanting to do something, and the point is that they are succeeding, despite the fact they are working at distance, they organized a band, and now their debut album called Evermore, will be release soon., goes on sale July 31 and will be available on Itunes and amazon.
