Felix is adapting great by the way.
He prefers to sleep on my bed but also likes Chewie’s bed.

He’s not afraid to put Neesha on her place when he gets tired of her trying to catch his tail and Chewie respects him and simply leaves him alone.

Last Saturday I went with a friend to the tattoo guy where I had my Star Wars tattoo redone so she could get her first tattoo. It took nearly 3.5 hours but it sure turned out nice.

And another friend of mine had her zodiac sign tattoo-ed on her waist.

Yesterday my fitnessbuddy and I did some warming-up exercises for a Bollyrobic dance called Maahi Ve.
Bollyrobics is a kind of modern belly dancing which involves a lot of hand movements too. It was really funny to do but I do know that it will take a long time before I can do the dance.

I’m nicely surprised that my back isn’t extremely sore and it’s a fun way to exercise.

Something really funny happened last Sunday when I was walking Chewie.
He likes to chase after birds and especially ducks so when he saw a bunch of them, he started sprinting towards them and most of them took off to the safety of the water, except for 1 of them.
The poor thing couldn’t fly so Chewie slowly started to walk behind her waiting for her to take off, like ducks always do, but then the duck suddenly laid down and pretended to be death.
Chewie then started sniffing her and got really confused by the fact that she acted so weird. He knew she was alive but why wouldn’t she let him chase her?
After checking the duck out myself, I decided to take Chewie with me so the duck could go to the water to join the others.

It was just so funny to see Chewie act so confused and it was reassuring. I was already 99.9% sure that he wouldn’t harm them and now I know for sure. He just loves to chase them.

I have just quit the charity work at the pound.
It was just too hard on me and unfair to Raymond since he had to walk Chewie most of the time after I came back from the pound because I was simply to worn out to do it myself.

I’ve been walking the dogs for his former owner so I already knew him and when she told me that she didn’t have the feeling that she could take care of the animals anymore (whom have ended up at her place in one way or another) and that she had to find new homes for the cats, I offered to take him in if Ray would agree with it. Ray knew him from when he helped her with her PC and he instantly said yes.
She’s inseparable of the dogs and since I’ve been helping walking them she has a way of keeping them.

So now we’re looking for new homes for the other 3 :

Kontiki is a neutered male of 4/5 years old. He is a bit shy but once he gets over it, he’s very affectionate.

Duschi (left) is female and about 5/6 years old. She and Kontiki have had 2 litters. She has a mind of her own but can be really sweet when she feels like it. She hasn’t been neutered.

Solo (right) is a neutered male of about 14 years old and he is also really affectionate.

Please let me know if you’re interested because they’ll otherwise have to go to the pound and I think it’s a lot easier for them if they can skip that step. They all need their shots btw.

My sister and brother-in-law have gone to Lowlands (a huge Dutch music festival) for a few days so we’re taking care of their Guinea pigs Nono and T-bob.

I prefer more active animals instead but the sounds they make are adorable and you can actually put them on your lap.
I ended up putting them in my room since Neesha just wouldn’t leave them alone.

My fitnessbuddy and her husband came along to make sure that nothing would happen to me since you can always come across some creep but luckily he was a really nice guy and really clear with his instructions. They really helped out by keeping a eye on whether people would come along while I was changing outfits and posing and by helping me carry my stuff. Thanks again!

The photo session was in a nature area in Rhoon and it’s a really nice walking area there. I’m sure that Chewie would love it there too.

I just had my first Dog Walking customer too. She is the woman you can see in the video in my previous post and she owns the 2 Pugs. Her health is even worse then mine so when I told her that I was trying to set up a dog walking service she instantly asked how much money I was asking. So I told her that I’d walk them for E 2.50 for 15 minutes and she liked the price. I ended up walking them for 25 minutes but I was walking Chewie too so I didn’t even ask for more then 2.50. They’re really cute dogs anyway so that really makes it a joy to walk them.

I just added these 2 video’s which I made wth my iPhone.

In the first one you can see Chewie, my walking-buddy’s Bordeaux Dog and 2 Pugs with whom they like to play. They’re almost all pretty distracted by tasty wood though.

And in this one you can see Neesha who just loves to play with her tail.

And I’m currently looking into becoming a photo art model. I currently have a appointment the 16th and I’m discussing a couple more with other people. I’ve also signed myself up at EC Entertainment and am waiting for a response from them.
I’ll always make sure that I have someone with me since I realize that there are a lot of people out there with bad intentions and I’ll give 1/3th of my pay to them so it’s beneficial for both of us.
Right now I’m asking 15 euro’s a session/hour and hopefully it will be something that actually works out for a change.
Ray is already joking about how I keep on trying the most odd stuff which is why I really want it to work.

I was bored and suddenly felt like looking up some stuff about aliens and then I came across a reference towards the 5 episode series from History Channel called : “Ancient Aliens”, which you can watch on YouTube if you click HERE.
It instantly spurred my interest, or I wouldn’t bother writing about this with my painful arms and hands, and I’ve been looking up more information about it ever since.
This forum, from Legendary Times, is very nice when you like to read discussions about it.

There is a lot of, to me, convincing evidence about it but sadly some people are frauds and have really tarnished the Theory by faking material or simply not showing the entire picture or translation and just show what they like and which supports their theory.

I finally found a name for the light brown mouse : Taja, this comes from the Old French word tané which means light brown and Raymond jokingly asking whether there was a Taja too (in English you can see the names as Tano and Tayes. )

This morning I spent some time on updating my website again. At the top I added my new avatar, I merged the 3D art pages and gave the silhouette art their own page.

My old avatar isn’t accurate anymore so I decided to make a new one.

My piercing has been healing really well so far and I only have to clean it twice a day. The first time, while I take my morning shower, I clean it with water and the second time, before I go to bed, I clean it with Tea Tree Oil.

Yesterday I bought these 2 cute little mice :

It was easy to come up with a name for the black and white one because of her markings. I’m calling her Zora, which is based on Zoro of course, since she just looks as if she’s wearing a mask and cape.
I don’t have a name for the light brown one but I’m sure I’ll figure out something.
The black and white one was born around May 18 and the brown one a week later.
Caria and Daria seem to accept them pretty well and except for some squeaking from time to time, everything is peaceful in their box.

Last Friday I went to a tattoo artist to see how much it would be to redo my Star Wars tattoo since it didn’t turn out to well 1.5 years ago. He told me that he’d do it for 25 euro’s and that he had plenty of time to do it straight away so that’s finally redone.
The guy is really nice and does a great job so I can really recommend him. He does it from his home and calls his business : “Tattoo Studio Shadow”. Here you can find examples of tattoo’s he’s done so far.

And last night I gave myself a nose piercing :

Making the hole wasn’t that hard. I simply disinfected everything, used a large safety pin which I put in slowly but steadily, giving my nose time to numb down, to make the hole and I stuck a tampon in my nose so I had something to push into and catch the blood in case it would start to bleed a lot (which it didn’t).

After this came the hard part though, sticking in the piercing…
This is the one I bought :
The curve makes sure that it doesn’t fall out as easily but it also makes it extremely hard to put it in. Especially when you just made the hole and don’t have any experience with putting ina nose piercing. It took me nearly 2 hours to get it in but I really like the result.
Now it’s just a matter of disinfecting the hole at least 3 times a day and hope that it doesn’t get infected.

My lenses didn’t work out as well as I had hoped since my eyes kept on becoming really dry so I ordered a new pair of glasses and sunglasses which should me done any day now.

My fitness buddy and her husband were supposed to come too but they couldn’t make it due to health problems. Take care both of you!

It was still a lot of fun with just the 4 of us and we’ve made a bunch of photo’s. I don’t have the others yet but I’ve put mine in a folder at Photobucket.

I’m glad that I had reserved a wheelchair for myself since I really needed it. It was really nice at some of the attractions too since you don’t have to stand in line and can simply wait for the employees to grant you and 2 or sometimes even 3 of your companions spots at the attraction.

The weather was great and it wasn’t to busy at the older attractions so we were able to visit most of our favorite ones.

My brother wanted to get another pet so I told him that as long as it didn’t have more then 4 legs, I’d be fine with it.
He eventually decided on getting a kitten (cheer!) and I came across this cute little kitty on Marktplaats (a website similar to Craigslist).

The people we bought her from life in a huge house and even have their own gardener. They were really nice people and had already taken care of deworming her twice. Next week I’ll take her to the vet to see which shots she needs and have them take care of that.

She was born on April 15 2010 en is now about 9 weeks old.
She can be really feisty, loves to be petted and played with but, so far, hates poor Chewie. She’s just not used to dogs.

Yesterday I had the talk at the pound in Krimpen aan den IJssel about doing charity work there and I’m going to start next Tuesday. I’ll work Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 4 and Thursday morning from 8.30 to 12, or shorter if my back starts to hurt to much. My “job” will be to give attention to some of the cats and to walk at least 1 of the dogs. If there is small stuff that needs to be done (like laundry) I’m encouraged to do it too of course.

I just removed my dog walking service page since I haven’t had anybody respond to it.
Oh well, at least I’m doing enough now to keep myself busy : I go the gym on Mondays and Fridays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are for working at the pound and on Wednesdays I still do the language coach charity work. Since nothing lasts longer then 3.5 hours a day I should be able to keep on doing it without having to many bad weekends after it.

Haria hasn’t been doing to well lately and it looks like she has a tumor. Her belly is hanging low which makes her back look skinny. She is still eating well but she’s not as active as she used to be since I never see her in the wheel again. It doesn’t look like she’s in pain so right now I’ll stick with keeping a eye on her.

Update 22.30 : Haria just died in my ams. :’(

Last Saturday a friend came by for dinner and fun and we ended up playing Rock Band until 1.30 so that was a lot of fun. Even Ray finally tried out singing and he’s getting pretty good at it.

The woman from the bureau that’s trying to help me find a job came by earlier this afternoon and we discussed some more job options.
In about 3 weeks she’ll let me know what the results are. She has some ideas like working as security and at a call-center but finding a company that’s flexible enough to give me enough breaks can be a problem of course.
We also talked about our many pets and she told me that pounds (asiels) are looking for a lot of charity workers.
I’m sure that all the regular readers know by now that I love animals so I instantly signed myself up for the 2 closest.
The work I signed myself up for is dogwalking, cathugging, and taking care of animals in general so I hope that I’ll at least be able to do that.
The main problem will be that I don’t end up taking half the animals home.

Edit : I just got a call from the daycare place and I will now be on the back-up list in case someone is sick.
