Crafty peeps, it’s the beginning of a new month and today it’s time to talk about the New Die of the Month! It’s not yet Christmas but to allow for prep time, my mind is already on the next holiday – Valentine’s Day! Worry not though, hearts are used through the entire year — thankfully! Please welcome The Amazing Paper Grace December 2022 Die of the Month, called Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set. I have an absolute penchant for notecards and you will see, this will be the first die cutting set you reach for – year-round – when you want to offer a note, a gift card, or as an enclosure on a package.

Inspiration for the Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Set

I am forever looking to write the quick note! Inevitably, I look around and there’s nothing to write on. I have to admit, there’s a little bit of pressure when people you know you make greeting cards. It would never do to send just a post-it note or a plain piece of paper. So that’s why I always have these little note cards/envelopes on hand. They are perfect for a money gift card and they are perfect to tuck in a little note.

Hint: Did you catch that the adorable corner pieces are simply the die cut heart trimmed with a straight paper cutter? Yes, what a neat option to have as well as some place to tuck a sentiment or a picture.

From the set you can make an envelope with an enclosure card, a tag, or craft it into a pocket. You’ll see from the inspiration below, that there’s no need to stop there – today I’m including a basket and my next project will be a box. Stay tuned for inspiration below:

I love that the small envelope and all of the embellishments fit on a card front!

Taking it off of the card, the tag makes a great shaped card all on it’s own. Inside was a perfect place to glue down the filigree heart.

Since it’s all about Valentine’s Day – I crafted a basket to hold all of the Valentines I get. After I’m done, it gets filled to the brim with sweetheart candies.

I love the notecard and the ability to line the envelope with the tag. What a sweet way to give a note or a gift card.

Last, but not least – it’s so easy to decorate the front and back with the embellishments and die cut flower in the set.

November 2022 Die of the Month | Pop Up 3D Vignette Alarm Clock

Sweet Crafty Friends – you know what time it is!! It’s time to introduce a new Die of the Month!! Please welcome The Amazing Paper Grace November 2022 Die of the Month, called Pop Up 3D Vignette Alarm Clock. With the end of the year approaching, I thought that Time would be a great theme coming into a new year. As a result, now I have a way to celebrate all the occasions where “time” is a reference. Happy New Year, retirement, marriage, encouragement, baby birth time, and awards come to mind.

Inspiration for Pop Up 3D Vignette Alarm Clock

There are so many occasions when time is a factor. The time/date your baby was born, the time when someone finally gets a reward, the time/date you started dating, the time/date you got married, the time/date you retired and I could go on. With the 3D Vignettes it’s a great way to show a dimensional thought, in a way that folds flat for a card!

Hint: Don’t forget the back of the vignette! It’s an excellent place to put the date or to write a sentiment or to attach or insert a small enclosure note.

I also wanted to create a frame within which you could put anything you want. There’s a lot of sweet dimension in this set. As a matter of fact, it’s just calling out to be a shaker card or a frame without the clock. Stay tuned for inspiration below:

You do realize, you could put virtually anything inside this frame, right? Yep, the Let It Snowman A2 Card Front from my Christmas Flourishes Collection is a great fit as well as all of the motifs in the Seasonal Motifs Collection. The white filigree is the top of the Tiara Trifold. This just makes me smile!

And, just as easily – this clock goes flat so that it can grace the front of a card! I’m using the Hemstitch Rectangles on the card base.

What a way to ring in the New Year!

For instance, see how easy it was to Christmistify (ha-ha a new word I just made up) a card using the clock pieces. This Christmas card features the gorgeous Joy Holiday Flourish in red atop the Cannetille Rectangle in gold.

Last, but not least – this clock looks lovely on the front of a notebook. Fluted Rectangles is in the background.

Inspiration for Pop Up 3D Poinsettia Surprise Envelope

I’m a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas! Christmas Red and Holly Green are the first thing I grab on my initial Christmas makes. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of the trendy colors but the Red and Green come first. There’s no mistaking Christmas in my first envelope – it checks all of the boxes and already looks darling on the mantle. But . . . I’m also sharing an everyday make.

As always I wanted an Envelope that could take you through the full year and for every occasion. This checks the box! It is made similar to the other 3D Vignettes and folds flat to mail except the tabs are glued inside.

Here the flowers are flat, in the lead in picture the flowers are dimensional – the choice is yours!

Look how easily the elements translate into an A2 card!

The largest piece die cuts with a side tab so it is oh, so easy to link four tabbed pieces end to end to create a box!

Here the envelope is mounted to a card base and Fluted Rectangles for an elegant statement.

In today’s projects, I have both paper flowers in both flat and dimensional.

In this month’s video, I show you step by step, how easy it is to construct the Poinsettia Surprise Envelope and how quickly you can fashion the dimensional paper flowers.

Year Round Crafting Ideas for the 3D Poinsettia Envelope Surprise

Last but not least, I wanted to show you a 3D Envelope that can be sent any time of the year and for any occasion. Pair the die cut envelope up with the elements from the Seasonal Motifs Collection for Spring and Easter, Summer and Vacation, Fall and Thanksgiving, as well as Winter and Christmas.

And remember, it folds flat so that it can go into an envelope :-)
