Take a stroll with dad at John Howell Park in the Virginia Highlands.

Father’s Day is just around the corner and if you live in one of the apartments near Atlanta, GA, you’ll surely find something that he’ll want to do.

Why not leave the cooking at home and take your dad or husband out for delicious Mexican food that will surely fire up his taste buds. Rosa Mexicano at Atlantic Station offers a wide and interesting selection of food and plenty of stuff for the kids.

If you don’t feel like eating in a restaurant to celebrate the day, there are still plenty of things you can do. If you want to do something completely different then why not take a picnic and go for a walk with the family. There are some beautiful gardens in and around the Atlanta GA area. Why not take a stroll through John Howell Memorial Park.

So why not do something completely different this Father’s Day and make it one that Dad will remember.

Experience NASCAR like never before this summer!

This 887-acre facility offers a variety of fun events for race-fans and families alike from drag racing to NASCAR to the Sprint Cut Series.For instance, on June 1 at the Friday Night Drags and Show-N-Shine, cars from the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame will be on display along with the beginning of the Battle for the Bullets for all racing division. This popular drag racing night features 225 drag races gunning it in front of 5000 fans.

Celebrate with friends at the Geranium Festival in McDonough!

One of the best parts about living in McDonough, Georgia is being able to take advantage of all the big city events that Atlanta has to offer, while also enjoying the small town charm where local businesses thrive and people know their neighbors. McDonough has many great things to boast and one of them is the Geranium Festival which will be taking place in downtown McDonough on May 19 from 9am to 5pm.

This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with your neighbors, enjoy some great local eats, check out some handmade arts and crafts, learn more about local businesses, let the kids play to their hearts’ content, and listen to some cool live entertainment.  As the afternoon turns into evening, you can expect the musical stylings of rock ‘n’ roll band Drivin N Cryin, some country from Highway 55, and finally the smooth Motown and R&B sounds of Bogey & the Viceroy.
