Amazon has a great hidden feature. When you are shopping for a book, you can see “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” to find similar books from people with the same interests.

What Should I Read Next is a search engine based on Amazon

Overview
On TeachersPayTeachers, you can sell original curricular materials such as lesson plans, unit plans, examinations, teaching guides, worksheets, etc. You simply upload your original files in one of our many supported filetypes to our catalog and set your own prices. They take care of the sales transactions and deliver instant downloads to buyers. It’s very easy! Soon, you will also be able to sell hard goods, both teacher-created and used educational materials. Selling a hard good will work similarly except that you will upload photos of the items. They will still handle the sale but you will be responsible for shipping to the buyer after receiving an automatic email with the buyer’s shipping address. The cost of shipping will be reimbursed to you when you receive your payout.

Seller Membership Options
They offer two levels of Seller Memberships, Basic and Premium. Basic Membership is FREE and offers a 60% royalty on gross sales and these transaction fees. Premium Membership costs $29.95 annually but offers a much more generous 85% royalty on gross sales and no transaction fees. Renewal is automatic unless you cancel your account and you can post an unlimited number of items.

Referral Earnings
For each new seller you refer, you will earn 5% of their sales for their first two years as members on TpT. Simply have your friends and colleagues use the unique-to-you Promo Link below when they signup or upgrade to a seller’s membership, either Basic or Premium.

Using Google Picasa to Share Class Pictures

I have been stuck for a couple months on the easiest and safest way to share class pictures on the web. I started with flickr but found it just isn’t very easy for new users to pick up on and learn how to use. So recently I decided to try Google Picasa’s Web Albums with their public and private unlisted albums feature. (read more about What’s the difference between public albums and those that are unlisted? from Google’s FAQ Help section) I really liked the flexibility with their privacy options and it is very user friendly. I also especially like their easy to use embeddable slideshow feature.

Note: I make the decision on whether to publish and share pictures publicly by the following criteria.

*Is the photo appropriate and have an educational value?

*Does the photo reveal the complete identity of a student face?
