Our Experience Using Bunk Beds

A bunk bed is a type of bed in which one bed frame is stacked on top of another. The nature of bunk beds allows two people to sleep in the same room while maximizing available room space. This leads to them being used in places with limited room space, such as on ships and in army garrisons or in places that wish to maximize bedspace such as : hostels, prison cells, university residence halls, dormitories, summer camp cabins, or children's rooms.

I have personal experience using bunk beds. Incidentally, the room is very small family home, so that when we gather at the feast, our lack of beds, number of us there are 33 people. Our family decided to use the bunk beds, which we think is very efficient, can make use of the existing and maximum comfort! We are using 3 kind of bunk beds, wich are full over full bunk beds, twin over full bunk bed, and bunk beds with stairs.

With full over full bunk beds, they have the same size for the top and bottom. It can be used for single or double size for couples in bottom and top.

With twin over full bunk bed, usually have different sizes. For the bottom of the bed size is larger than the top. In the bottom side can be used for two persons.

The third is bunk beds with stairs, which is has different sizes with lot of function. They also had different direction of sleep position.

Well, i think, small size of your room is not a big problem anymore.

Top 10 Business Trends for 2012

Ameradeals exclusive annual research study of midsize and large organizations reveals the 10 trends that will play a significant role in enterprises in the coming year.

Most trends lists are created by “experts“ who brainstorm, discuss, and argue until they reach a consensus as to what the big topics and market developments are going to be. Baseline decided a few years ago to make primary research the foundation of its annual trends report.

By asking several hundred business and technology managers at North American organizations with 100 or more employees to tell us what’s going on in their workplaces, we get representative viewpoints that provide objective, proof-driven insight into what the stories will be in the coming year.

In October, we fielded our survey to 422 of these managers, across all sectors in the United States and Canada. We asked them about their technology investments, strategies and commitment levels; the degree to which those levels might rise or fall; and the support levels from various stakeholders (IT, users, executives and finance professionals).

What we didn’t ask survey respondents about was “trends,” per se, because it’s the aggregate of the individual players in a market that constitutes a trend. Our analysis is based on what respondents know most about: what’s going on in their own organizations. That’s how we determined the top 10 trends for this article.

We have a sound basis for selecting these trends and provide an impartial way to compare the strength of each trend against the others. In a few cases, we’ll highlight trends that few others are seeing or indicate where the buzz of today is going to fade tomorrow.

To accomplish this, our analysis of the research results doesn’t look only at what’s popular or even what’s growing—though it does begin with that. To have “buzz,” a trend has to have highly accelerated growth.

So, for example, you might be surprised to see that virtualization didn’t make the list for 2012. Virtualization’s strong growth and popularity has remained stable in our study for three years, but this year’s survey results showed that 2012 will be a “steady-on” year for virtualization, not a buzz year, so it’s not listed as a top trend.

Meanwhile, a trend first hyped several years ago—unified communications (UC)—didn’t make our trends list until last year, at No. 10, where we said it was “finally showing signs of life.” This year, as part of a broader trend in communications, it’s reached the No. 4 position. We were able to hold off on including this technology three years ago because our data showed it hadn’t reached the tipping point. Last year, UC did, and, this year, it’s coming on strong.

How Last Year’s Predictions Fared

In “The Top 10 Tech Trends of 2011” (Baseline, November/December 2010), we did pretty well with our forecast, with six real hits and only one clear miss. Our favorite hits include “End Users Gain More Control,” predicted long before all the current buzz on consumerization; “VDI Adoption Takes a Breath,” which at the time we published, wasn’t really imagined; and “BI Trumps Crowdsourcing,” which turned out to be true in a big way. Our miss? “Interest in Cloud Computing Refocuses on SaaS,” which was No. 6. SaaS adoption has certainly continued, but all the buzz has been elsewhere.

So, you want to know what’s going to happen next? Social media is evolving fast and marketers are starting to catch up. I wanted to understand how will social media marketing change in the 2012 and here are some thoughts that I came up with.

We have collected trends in social media, marketing, business, gaming and mobile and combined all of them into this post. This is our third annual presentation about what to expect in social media marketing in the coming year. We are getting pretty good at this.

Social media marketing disappears

Social media is staring to be integral part of everything we do when marketing our business. This means that social media marketing will not be a separate activity but just one facet of your overall marketing plan. Much like SEO or email marketing, social media will be just one tool in the box.

Integrating social media

Brands start large scale integration of social media content into their digital properties. Big brands will use social media connect and user generated content to get closer to customers. This will help them get most out of true fans and brand advocates.

Support through social media

The integration of social media will lead to people reporting their problems in their channel of choice. Social media integration lets some of those problems be handled by the peers. However, companies should find ways to avoid their social media channels becoming a glorified helpdesk.

Social sales

Social media integration will allow customers to get real user experience before making purchase decisions. In my view social commerce is not web shop on Facebook. It’s a digital property where people can make their decision based on marketing materials from the brand and augmented with feedback from existing customers in a form of ratings, reviews and comments.

Group buying sites will level off

Let’s face it, it is a brain dead model. Lets grow a huge list by offering really cheap deals and then sell that list to businesses to get really cheap deals. Group buying will not go away but businesses will understand better what it is and use it accordingly. To spell it out: businesses buy an opportunity to let potential customers sample their offering at a hugely discounted rate in hopes of repeat business. Money is in the list!

More result oriented. Still less than half of the marketers measure results from social media. Social media ROI is a hot topic but less than half of the marketers report seeing it. We see that the budgets will grow and social gets more important in the brand’s marketing mix. This means that C-level will demand results. This means dollars in sales. It can be as easy as direct sales from Facebook or a bit more vague as in conversion rate of people from social channels is higher than average.

Social media advertising will grow

Social media channels are looking to turn a profit so they are looking for ways to get at your advertising budget. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and others are looking into way to display more marketing messages to their users. This will increase budgets dedicated to social media advertising.

Branded content

Next to advertising there will be a push be in the user’s stream. This means brands need to create content that is good enough to be curated and shared. Content has longer shelf life, can be reused in different channels, has higher perceived value for customers. This means that content creation budgets may in many cases exceed the social advertising budgets. It wouldn’t be surprising if some companies kill advertising in favor of content creation.

Tabletizing and mobilizing websites

They must understand and deliver value to empowered customers; create lasting relationships with those customers; and measure marketing’s contribution to the business in relevant, quantifiable terms. News aggregation apps like Flipboard and magazine apps will find a market in corporate circles.

Not exactly a social media thing but businesses start to make their sites mobile. Like 10 years ago companies made websites because everybody else did, now they will make their sites mobile because everybody else does. People will use more social networks’ messaging instead of regular email and IM. (Webmail providers should be worried).

13. Social gaming will grow and spill over to real world

Social Media Games have more players than prime time TV shows have viewers. In-game ads and branded game items will become important promotional tools. As social media will become more mobile so will social gaming. This means that games that are hosted on social networks, such as Zynga and EA on Facebook, will be playable on mobile devices. These kinds of games will be played on-the-go – when you’re traveling by bus, sitting in a boring lecture, waiting for your lunch. Social gaming will be integrated with real life to physically perform tasks offline that have effect in the virtual world. Engage real friends, go to locations, flash mobs, etc. The potential growth of mobile social gaming will be huge.

14. Location! Location! Location!

Location based services will be everywhere. Local information, reviews, coupons, loyalty programs and more. All tied in with your social graph. We are moving towards an era of real-time need for information. More and more people will be checking for recommendations about nearby restaurants, bars, hotels, etc. Location based services will be part of many marketing campaigns. Near-field communication chips in mobile devices get more common and will pave the way to the new era of “tap & pay” commerce. Loyalty programs will start moving towards NFC and location based solutions. NFC will be a convenient way for you to connect, share and react.

While this won’t happen instantly, we’re going down that road as we speak. People will be reading news from their dedicated applications such as iPad’s Flipboard or Washington Post Social Reader. We will take in a lot of recommendations and read the same things that our friends are reading.

19. Mobile apps will become more social

All of the successful new mobile apps will be deeply integrated with social networks allowing you to share and engage more than ever before. We will be taking in a lot of suggestions and recommendations from our friends, colleagues and other trustworthy peers.

20. Your social media footprint will grow

Frictionless sharing capabilities and social gestures will make our lives increasingly visible on social networking sites. Music, TV shows, check-ins, purchases and more will be automatically posted to social media sites. Always connected, always sharing! If you don’t share, your friends will. Some may rise privacy concerns but most people will ignore the implications and their lives are going to be more open than ever before.

21. Facebook will break the 1 Billion people mark

Where does that more than 1 billion Facebook users come from? The countries with more than 20 million people and Facebook penetration below 20% will add most of this growth in 2012. Add the potential growth of other countries and you get to a cool billion or 1.1 billion even. And that does not include China.

While prediction columns can get voluminous and repetitive this time of year, it is a great time to take stock of where we have been, where we want to go and where we think everyone else is going. Looking back at where we’ve been is relatively easy but articulating what we want is hard and trying to predict where others may go is challenging indeed. However, I am a big fan of stating intentions — it’s the first step in proactively getting where you want to go. It is also a useful exercise to think about what might happen around us, even knowing that we won’t be completely correct.

Looking Back

In 2011, the social business market figured out that the opportunities and challenges encompass far more than technology and in fact, the conversation about technology has somewhat receded. It is still and always will be a critical component of building a networked organization, but it is just that, a component.

2011 also saw a move toward real enterprise-wide deployments. The result is that many more people are joining the conversation and asking questions. This is a great leap forward and yet, for those in the space it can add to the feeling of repetitiveness as a new wave of people need the basics.

What does all this mean?

It means that a lot of the market has moved from talking about social business to doing it, and that is exciting. Success, however, comes with its own challenges and there are three critical ones to stay on top of in 2012:

Overload. Too much information, too much content, too many connections, too many "apps for that".…just way too much for most individuals to handle productively.
Acute lack of talent & expertise. As more organizations get serious, the need for community managers, social data analysts, collaborative innovation experts and social strategists will grow dramatically, but the available expertise will not. A skirmish for talent — and maybe even a war — will break out.
Momentum Dip. The changes required to move our organizations from where they are today to a new way of organizing and operating will take a long time to implement. As ideas and concepts move into execution, it becomes less about excitement and more about slow, persistent reinforcement and progress — different skills and individuals are needed to manage this transition successfully.

Future Steps

How you approach each of these challenges depends on where you want to go, both next year and further out. Knowing and accepting your organization’s realistic potential in this space is critical. If your executives are neutral or negative about a social business approach, you should not be planning for a fully networked organization — at least not for the foreseeable future. You would be better served by addressing very specific use cases where there are clear wins through use of a social approach. Still impactful, and impactful because it is realistic in a context where transforming the organization may not be on the radar of executives.

Once you can articulate your short and long term goals, you can start to respond to the challenges:

Overload. Optimally, social tools can help individuals sort through, prioritize and have more control over their information streams, ultimately allowing them to make better decisions more quickly. However, until the adoption of those tools happens broadly and the efficient use of them is culturally accepted, it adds to the information burden rather than decreasing it. It is imperative that social business initiatives start to reduce the information burden as soon as possible for individual users. This is both a tool and a usage issue. We need to provide individuals with the most effective tools but also educate them on how to use them in effective and productive ways.
Acute lack of talent. The sooner you can develop your resource requirements and get support for them, the better off you will be. Time will give you the opportunity to source and find the right individuals, to seduce key individuals or to train existing resources. Even now, to get experienced resources requires a concerted proactive hunt and the market is barely warmed up. If you are not planning for this well ahead of time it will become a significant risk to your initiative.
Momentum Dip. Your executives may have attended a conference and gotten very excited hearing about the results of other companies or maybe you tripped upon the excitement around social business and have done an amazing job of selling the vision internally. And now? Now comes the systems integrations, the enterprise-wide training programs, the 10 different policy documents that require development, the 3 executives who are determined not to believe in this approach, the legal team that doesn’t understand the space and the peers who still think your "work" is talking about what you had for breakfast on Twitter. There is a hill of issues that need to be addressed every week and it can be overwhelming. If you are a professional in this space, you need to reach out to peers that are going through the same thing — they have both advice and can commiserate, which relieves the feeling that you are taking two steps back for every foot forward and helps you stay motivated.

There is plenty of work to be done in 2012, but our organizations are increasingly ready to take on the challenges of becoming more networked and open to their markets. The fun — and the results — are just beginning.
