That means you'll soon be paying A LOT more for gas, home heating, food, health care... everything. Because everything uses energy.

On the flip side of the coin the revelations that global warming is a fraud go on. As experts dig into the documents that have been released there is no doubt the results supporting were faked. Part of what has been released is the source code for computer programs used to predict future climate change. The program code is filled with notes written by the programmers. This is a normal practice programmers use to help them remember what they've done and why it was done. In this case the notes document adjustments to the software in order to manipulate the data to give results that support global warming. The data was showing global cooling, not global warming, so there is, for example, an adjustment in the software with this note:

"Apply a VERY ARTIFICIAL correction for decline!!"

Another note talks about a "fudge factor" being added to get the numbers to come out they way they wanted them to come out.

Another comment states: "This will be artificially adjusted to look closer to the real temperature." This refers to and effort to suppress data that shows the Middle Ages were warmer than today. By the way, there was no industrial activity in the Middle Ages, which was a 1,000 year period from about the year 600 to 1500. Man-made green house gases didn't exist, yet the world became very warm.

By the way, another thing that has come to light is that although there are three other sources for data on global warming, they all rely on this bad data. So all data supporting global warming is tainted. Oh, if you want to check the data... too bad. It's been destroyed. That's something scientists don't do... unless they want to hide false findings.

Did you know that there was a Little Ice Age from about the year 1600 until about 1850. In other words the world was warm, then it got very cold, then it got warmer again, and now it appears that it is getting colder again. Could it be that this is a natural cycle?

Climate Gate (aka Global Warming)

It has been several weeks since it was revealed that the "science" supporting global warming was not science after all. But instead global warming was supported by data that was fudged to support global warming -- and any data that contradicted this was thrown out. Global warming was supported by intimidation of those who opposed the religion of global warming. And supported by suppression of any science that did not support the desired conclusion that mankind's activities were causing global warming.

In other words, it was all a lie.

There have been several weeks in which the emails and correspondence showing the lie have been verified as true. No one refutes this fact. The only defense has been to say that non-scientists don't understand how true scientists talk among themselves in private. But that cannot explain away the facts that data was changed, data was suppressed, and the opposition was intimidated into silence. The plain facts stand out clearly showing that global warming, caused my man's activities, is not true.

However, the big story is becoming the GREAT SILENCE. The big story is that the mainstream media has ignored the facts and continues to promote global warming as a man-made disaster that requires massive government intervention, major restrictions on human activity (restrictions that will lead to greater hunger, poverty and disease -- but that's all good because it will result in a still greater need for more government intervention); and huge next taxes. Let the juggernaut of lies roll on. The truth no longer matters.

Global Warming Revealed As A Hoax

Hackers got into computers at Pennsylvania State University's Earth System Science Center and released to the public emails and documents written by leading climatologists in several countries. Every day they are hard at work expanding the role of government. You just may not be hearing about it because it is also happening in less visible areas than health care.

Take, for example, HR2868. This is considered to be a Homeland Security bill that makes chemical production plants and refineries safe from terrorism. As they always do, it sounds good on the surface, but when you read what the legislation does it turns out to not be what it seems.

I chose this bill because it is one you are likely not to hear about. It's about industry and only those who are in the industries it regulates are interested. But it still effects you. What it does is put the government in charge of deciding how to run an oil refinery or chemical plant. Who would you rather have in charge? Petroleum engineers who know how things run and what needs to be done to have a safe facility, or the government that runs things based on politics and ideology?

How will this effect you?

The cost of your gasoline and heating oil will go up. The cost of everything that uses chemicals will go up. And you'll be the one who pays. (Government employees will always be sure to give themselves COLA increases to cover inflation. So they'll be okay.)

The safety at these facilities will decrease. Of course that only really effects you if you live near one, or happened to be employed by one. So I guess most of you don't really need to worry about that. (Right!)

Have you ever noticed how there are some things government does well, does very well at. And other things government just can't seem to get right?

Our government does very well protecting us. We have a top notch military and live reasonably safe lives. Protecting its citizens is a God-given responsibility of government. Our government does a good job of this.

On the other hand, our government has not done well eliminating poverty or providing health care. The Great Society was supposed to eliminate poverty. But what it accomplished was to trap people in a cycle of poverty they could not escape. Huge sums of money were spent and poverty was not eliminated. Look at Medicaid and Medicare. Both are going broke. Care is already rationed with doctors in some locations refusing to take Medicaid patients. Plus these two government plans are heavily subsidized by private insurance companies. Hospitals charge you and I more to make up for the low rates they get from Medicare and Medicaid. Eliminating poverty and taking care of people is not a responsibility given to government by God, theydon't do either of these things well.

All governments are from God. Government has certain God given responsibilities. Those are the things government does well. The rest are our responsibilities, in most cases our responsibly through our churches.

Government Needs Crisis

The most critical part of a republic form of government, is that the people must elect Godly, moral people to office. Without that we get a government whose purpose is to serve itself, even when it claims to be operating for the good of the people... even when those in government think they are acting for the good of the people.

A common method those in power use to stay in power is to create a crisis. They are then needed to solve that crisis. But what happens is that their solutions create a greater crisis, providing more justification for retaining their position of power so as to deal with the greater crisis.

What do we see now?

We're told we have a "global warming" crisis. It's an interesting crisis. One problem with this crisis is that we don't have good historical temperature data. No one bothered to keep such records until the 20th century.

Another problem is that if we look at the records for the 20th century what we see is a period of global cooling for the first 1/3 of the century; a period of more moderate cooling during the middle part of the century; and a period of warming for the last 1/3 of the century. Then, for the past ten years we've been in a period of global cooling again.

Those claiming crisis tell us that we only have a temporary respite. Within a year or two the temperatures will start to rise again.

By the way, do you remember what the crisis was in 1975? It was global cooling! There were predictions that food production would start to drop within ten years. You can read about it in Newsweek - April 28, 1975 - Global Cooling.

Cap and Trade - The Ol' Switch-A-Roo

I can't believe the big push that continues on promoting ethanol as way to reduce the consumption of oil. Not only does it not make sense to burn our food as fuel, it does not make sense as a way to reduce carbon emissions. It's another example of government not being able to make sensible decisions -- something that is true any time government operates outside of the areas in which it is supposed to operate.

What's wrong with ethanol? Let's just look at what will happen regarding cap and trade (a law that is supposed to reduce carbon emissions).

A new paper published in Science Magazine, a magazine not known to be critical of politically liberal ideas, reveals that ethanol generates the same or more greenhouse gases than burning fossil fuels.

Here's the first slight of hand that makes no sense: carbon generated by ethanol is supposed to be better than carbon from fossil fuels, because it "generates no new carbon." How does this work? Ethanol comes from plants. It makes carbon that goes into the atmosphere. Plants absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Thus the carbon from burning ethanol is recycled back into plants. Of course, carbon from burning fossil fuels also is recycled into plants. Plants can't tell the difference between ethanol generated carbon and fossil fuel generated carbon. It's all the same to them.

But here's where the case for burning ethanol breaks down even further. Biofuels are generally grown in third world countries. Ethanol is generally burned in developed countries. To grow the plants that are used to make biofuel mature forests are burned. Carbon that normally would accumulate in those forests is released to the atmosphere. Developed countries get cap and trade credit from ethanol even though they are generating the carbon emissions, and their biofuel is usually grown in a developing country where rain forests are burned down to make room to grow biofuel.

You can feel good about using biofuel. By using ethanol you are not only pushing people in developing countries closer to starvation by making food more expensive, you are striping their country of natural forests and adding to the carbon in the atmosphere. Way to go!!

Why You Can't Get The Swine Flu Vaccine

Does it seem like the flue season will be over before you get the opportunity to get the H1N1 swine flu vaccine. That just may be true thanks to the American government. Supply is far below the government's estimate of 40 million doses that were supposed to be available by November.

Why is that? Remember, what you are about to read is brought to you by the people who want to take over all of health care.

Last spring the government made the decision to not use vaccine additives. These are called adjuvants. They activate the immune system so that less vaccine is needed to provide immunity. The adjuvants are included in the vaccine worldwide--but not in the U.S. In Europe 3.75 micrograms per person is needed. In the U.S. 15 micrograms per person is required. If adjuvants were used we'd have four times as much vaccine and flu shots would be much more readily available.

Your government is working against your best interests.

Another government decision that is keeping you from getting the vaccine is that they are requiring vaccine be made using chicken eggs. Vaccine can be made much faster using mam made cells, as is done in Europe. By the way, this also means that if Europe was willing to share their vaccine with the U.S., it would not be allowed because it was not made using chicken eggs.

Once again your government is working against your best interests.

Plus there are other things such as vaccine being held back for weeks to check it for impurities. (There are faster ways to do this.) What really gets me is that the mainstream press is silent about this. If this was a Republican administration you'd hear the press screaming about dying babies and sick school children who couldn't get the vaccine because of the evil Republicans.

Is Government Your Savior #1

It's been a long time since I last posted here. I had not planned to start again, but what our government is doing, and the lack of reporting on it, have become so extreme that I must say something.

When I say the press isn't reporting on it, there is an exception. And that is what I'm using for my source. The Wall Street Journal. (It is the only major newspaper for which the number of subscribers is increasing.) We think of the Wall Street Journal as a newspaper for investors. That's true. And that's why the news is accurate. If a news source for investors allows political ideology to determine what they write and print, then it will ruin investors. To server investors -- both conservative and "progressive" investors, the news must be reported accurately so that investment decisions can be based on facts, not ideology.

So this is my source and what I'm seeing is an America gone crazy. I'll tell you why in the next few posts.

Purpose Of Government

According to the Bible, what is the purpose of civil government? I'll quote from a book called "10 Things Satan Doesn't Want You To Know". This is from the fourth chapter called The Battle Between Kingdoms.

"Governments, with rare exceptions, seek to expand their power beyond the mandate to restrain evil, preserve order, and promote justice." That's it. Those are the three things a government should be doing.

The purpose of this chapter is to point out that governments tend to go beyond these three things, and that's where we get into the battle between God's kingdom and the kingdom of civil government. On the other hand churches want to get involved in the three mandates of government, and that is equally wrong. The church can point out evil. It's the duty of government to catch criminals, have a trial and give out punishment. The church can point out evil supported by or performed by other governments. It's the duty of government to fight that evil (we call this war). The government is to maintain order through the use of police and the military. No church should never have a police or military force at its command.

When the government expands beyond what it supposed to do, problems will result. When the church expands into taking on government's responsibilities, there will be problems.

The Party Of Inclusiveness

It has been interesting to watch the Democractic primaries. The party of inclusion seems to be one of racism and polarized politics instead of inclusion. See: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080315/ap_on_el_pr/polarized_politics

This article makes a statement that indicates that the elimination of racism is probably impossible and beyond and mortal capability:

"Those gains have not been enough to erase divisions by race, a task perhaps beyond any mortal and any one election, nor lesser ones between the sexes."

This makes me wonder, since it is the Democractic Party that is split by rasicm, does that mean it is impossible for any other group of people to live, work and govern in harmony? That is the implication here... and it is a very wrong conclusion.

Liberals (they call themselves progressives now) have spoken a lot about inclusiveness, but their actions and policies have not. Their actions and policies have fostered division, Balkinization and exclusiveness. It is not surprising to see this come out in the current campaign.

I have only seen true inclusion in the Christian church. I'm not talking about the liberal Christian church which talks about inclusion, supports gay marriage, but exclude all those who disagree and support the liberial politicians policies that foster division, Balkinization and exclusiveness. I'm talking about the conservative Christian church in which I see mixed marriages, high rates of adoption of children, and people who care about the welfare of others. I'm talking about a place in which people make sacrifices to put their beliefs into action. A place were human life is respected and held in high regard, including the life of children in the womb.

Immediately people say, "But they exclude gays!! They are bigots!!" There go the liberals using words that exclude and divide instead of actions that include. I know of no conservative church that would turn away a gay couple at the door. Although because of the great diversity in conservative churches I am sure there are some. But to turn away anyone at the door* is against the teaching of the Bible. But, to include anyone in Christian fellowship, who is not a Christian, is also against the teaching of the Bible. You don't get to be a Christian just because you want to call yourself a Christian, you must meet certain criteria such as having repented, turned from sin and be trusting solely in Christ for your salvation. If a homosexual does this, they are a Christian.

* Assuming the person at the door is not there to be disruptive or violent.

Is There Any Progress

David Barton has written a good article in which he discusses "Why Christians Must Vote in This Election." He mentions that many Christians are getting discouraged because we don't see our government making any progress... things seem to be getting worse instead of better. But then he points out that the press seems to avoid reporting news that Christians would take as good news. Based on the average worldwide death rate, at least 7,000 died in the past hour who did not trust Jesus for their salvation. Every hour of the day, 24 hours a day, 7,000 people go to hell.

What have you done to make a difference in this number?

In America we spend $1,500,000 for each person who is saved. This includes the cost of the buildings, salaries, radio programs... everything that is spent on Christianity. We are supposed to be spreading the Gospel to bring people into God's kingdom... and we're bringing them into God's kingdom at a cost of $1,500,000 each.

In May I went on a mission trip to Russia. Our group spent about $30,000 for this trip. 60 people professed a new faith in Jesus Christ. That's $500 per person who was saved.

Are we spending a lot of money in America on things that are not achieving God's purposes? Are we ignoring God's purposes?

Are we applying WWJD? What would Jesus do? What did Jesus do?

"From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." - Matthew 4:17

Are We Safer Today?

I regularly ask myself if I feel safer today than I did a year ago, or at this time in 2001, or when I was younger (let's say 20 years ago). The answer is "no" in every case. I do not feel safer now.

I do feel safer when it comes to things our military protects us from. What frightens me is that liberals (or "progressives as they now want to be called) seem to be willing to sacrifice everything in their desire for power. They are willing to sacrifice the truth. They are willing to sacrifice their moral principles. They are willing to sacrifice freedom. They are wiolling to sacrifice lives... if they can gain power.

Look at the feminist movement. Their moral stand was to promote freedom and liberation for women. Have you heard them say one thing about what has been accomplished for women in Iraq? No. Their hatred of Bush, and desire for power, overrules what they say they stand for. They are willing to sacrifice women so that their people can return to power.

I feel less safe today because the efforts to attack and bury Christianity in America are growing. Just this week I heard about a roller rink that is being attacked by government official because they played Christian music on an evening dedicated to having Christians kids at the roller rink. That is absurd! What is going on when it even comes into someone's mind that playing Christian music, for Christian kids, in a private facility is something we need to stop? This makes no sense. This makes us less safe.

I feel less safe today because the attacks to erase our Christian heritage in America are growing and spreading. We are rewriting who we are. Why is this happening? Because it will change who we will be... and that is very scary.

Conservatives and Liberals

We have seen a major difference between conservatives and liberals in the process of selecting the last two Supreme Court justices.

Conservatives are focused on selecting judges who will interpret the constitution in the way the original authors, and those who approved the constitution and its ammendements, intended.

Liberals say the constitution is a living document, whose meaning changes so as to adapt itself to the current culture and situations.

Let's think about what each of these positions means, and what practical effect they would have on us.

The constitution is the foundation of all our laws.

If the meaning of the constitution changes over time, we no longer have that foundation. Essentially each day a group of nine people decide what the laws of the land are. One day you are secure in your home, and the next day you discover your local government can take your home and give it to a developer who wants to build a luxury hotel. Surprise! The meaning of the "living document" has changed.

Conservatives also believe the constitution is a living document, but when the law needs to be changed it is not done by nine people. The constitution should always mean what the authors, and those who approved it, intended it to mean. If the law needs to change to adapt to a new culture or situation, that is what amendments are for.

The difference between conservatives and liberals on this issue is a difference in beliefs concerning who can change the law. Conservatives believe that it is congress that changes the law. If the constitution is not serving us well, then there is a process to amend it, as has been done 27 times. Liberals feel that judges have the right to arbitarily change the law. But that's not how our government was set up.

One way to find out who is right is to reverse positions. Until this last week the Supreme Court had been very liberal for a long time. Now it's slightly conservative. Let's say that in the next six months justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg retires and is replaced by a strong conservative and there is now a strongly conservative Supreme Court. Will liberals still say that the constitution is a living document and judges can interpret to change laws so they are better suited for our current (conservative) culture? I don't think so. That's the flaw in allowing the judiciary to make law. If new situations arise which are not addressed by the original intent of the existing constitutional law, then those situations need to be addressed by new law. That's why we have a legislative branch of government.

End Of The Spear

Many of the Christian movies I've seen seem to have a cheap, low-budget look to them. No "The End of The Spear". This is a quality film that tells an interesting story. It is well worth seeing.

It is the story of five missionary families. They are trying to find and bring the Gospel to a tribe of people who are so murderous that the government of Ecuador will probably soon send in the army and wipe them out. The missionairies find them, and the men in the families are killed as a result of a misunderstanding among the men ofthe tribe. But, the women go into the jungle village and over time, through the love of Christ, these tribal people in the jungle become Christians. Andnow they are reaching out and bring the good news of the Gospel to other tribes near them, and around the world.

Take two hours this weekend and go see "End of the Spear".

What Pleases God?

Do you have an opinion on what pleases God?

Do you know what the Bibles says God is pleased by?

A survey is being conducted by Mission to America during the month of February (2006). Never in all of history has there been such a massacre. One billion babies, created in the image of God, have been killed. What must God think of this? How it must make God cry.

Psalm 139:13-16
"You [God] made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother's womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous--and how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book." (NLT)

God created every baby as a human life from the moment of conception. Notice how Psalm 139 above is talking about babies in the womb and in the last line it talks about every day of life being recorded in God's book. There has been no change of subject here. When the Bible says "every day of my life" it is including every day in the womb.

How can we go on killing like this? Where is our humanity? Our civilization? Our compassion for life?

Find Out How Your Representatives Voted

A new online database provided by the Washington Post allows you to see every vote in the U.S. Congress going back to 1991. You can look up votes in a variety of ways, including some that look like they will be very useful such as vote missers and late night votes.

There are also inks that directly show you impeachment votes, votes on nominations, speaker elections, treaty votes and Vice-Presidential tiebreakers. A separate set of links brings you directly to information on recent votes.

Visit the Washingtom Post Votes Database (http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/) to find out whether your Senators and Representative are truly representing your views.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Wow! Since then I've added two more homes to my list. One with a nativity scene and another home that is heavily decoraded and includeds a small sign in the bushes with the word Jesus on it. I'm not sure if they are making a statement, but it seems appropriate because when our Savior came into the world, few noticed. It took direct intervention by God to even get a few people to notice (the shepherds and wise men, for example).

Last night, both homes that had nativity scenes had their decorations vandalized and parts of the decorations stolen. The thieves were very selective. For example, they took Jesus. They took who they most needed, Jesus. Now that they have Jesus, may the Lord start a great work in their hearts.

24 Out of 100 Young Americans Killed

There is an interesting statistic in an article about pregnancy in America. Here is a quote:

"In 1995, for every 100 pregnancies that ended in abortion or a birth, almost 26 ended in abortion. In 2002, 24 ended in abortion, according to Guttmacher data."

Think about what this means:

For every 76 babies that are born in America, 24 American children are killed.

This means that one out of four babies in America were killed in 2002! That's genocide. That's mass murder on a HUGE scale. How do we tolerate such evil?

The article is at: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051219/ap_on_he_me/unwanted_pregnancies

The U.S. Patriot Act - How Safe Are We?

The debate is now going on in Congress concerning a new Patriot Act and what modifications are needed to strengthen or weaken it. I hope Congress is keeping in mind that we are under attack from many directions. I'm not talking about just Islamic terrorists. Other countries have us in their sights also. Check out this article about how it appears the Chinese military is attacking U.S. military computers to steal secret information:

China Accused Of Hacking U.S. Systems

Of course the Chinese are going to say they aren't doing it. That's SOP. But you can be assured we are the #1 target for more than Islamic terrorists. Although we don't need to be paranoid (that's the job of the people who protect us), it is a dangerous world and most of what's happening, such as this Chinese attack on U.S. military computers, does not make the evening news.
