Ya Boy is now a Konvict Music Artist

Northern California Rapper Ya Boy, aka YB The Rockstar, aka The Bay Area Bully has been signed to Akon’s Kon-live Distributions Label. The Black Card Music Artist now joins the Konvict roster with a line-up of artist such as T-Pain, Lady Gaga, Kardinal Offishall, Colby Odonis, and others.

Ya Boy has always had the potential to make it big. His first big smash was “16’s with me” which sample the “Imperial March” from Star Wars, and then just last year dropping “We Run L.A.” which was a banger all over. Dude flowed hard on mixtape after mixtape and we hope soon he will bring out an album from Konvict Music that will hit international ears.

Black Wall Street should of let brought YB on and they would had been getting that paper. But, The Game blew it and Akon got a diamond. Hell, Ya Boy’s manager Mike G said, “We felt there’s no one on an international level bigger than Akon. We’re excited and happy to join the Kon-Live family.” Which means more than American bread, he is getting international money.

We all know that there are a lot of rappers that we would want to hear for a GPS voice, but Snoop’s voice is a very good choice.

I checked out the voice at VoiceSkins.com and I think that the way they programmed Snoop Dogg’s voice into the TomTom navigators navigation screen is just ultra dopeness.

“Stop fu**ing around and be a man.” This is printed on the inside of what is called The Genesis Jacket by Society Original Products . This is a brand of Hip Hop Fashion that is tame, but also in your face. I like style that that makes a statement.

Society Original Products has that logo that people can get that deep and meaningful thoughts over. When you look at it you think a revolution is about to start or something around those lines. Looking at the backwards logo of Society just makes you think, “What is this person about?”. This is what the owner and designer purposely wanted to do. He wanted to make a conversational piece and that is what he had done.

There are two pieces that caught my eye real fast when browsing the clothing line. One was The Overtime New Era Hat. It had a bold printed that stands out saying “Work”. I liked that, cause without putting in work you ain’t gonna get the lifestyle that you want.

The second piece that stood out to me was The New Cool Tee. Printed on the shirt is ” Asian is the New Cool.” Do I believe it? Nah, cause asian has been cool for years. The problem is just like all races you are the hot choice for the moment then it is time to move on. We all are the New Cool it is just that we have to wait for a certain part of the year to be in style again.

Three 6 Mafia is down to only 2 dudes, but they are growing bigger star power wise every year. Many hood figures say that they sold out to this pop mess and all that. Truth is that if you want to grow a very large fan base you got to get out of your comfort zone and be international business men. Three 6 Mafia had done just that and they will just let the haters hate.

The right artist had been to this track to give it that hype club feel. Tiësto on the beat, Sean Kingston with the chorus vocals, and Flo Rida with the fast flow to add to the music. This is a decent production that won’t be slept on early.

Recently, DJPremium had a photoshoot with Actor Pooch Hall. You know the dude from the TV show The Game.

At the shoot they had this man style it up for the camera and do a Q&A session which you can catch on DJPremium’s Blog.

What I wanted to show everybody is the tops that I thought looked pretty decent. These are clothes I didn’t think I would like, but I was wrong. It has grown on me, cause it look very mature and trendy as well. But, believe that you are paying a premium to have these looks.

Britain gots some pretty freaking good Street Fashion designers. One I found today is Ringspun. Started in 2000 – Manchester, England by a man named David Mallon ‘Streetwear Svengali’ (Drapers). Mr Mallon had a goal. That goal was to create future classics, develope divine denim and high octane glamour for the style savvy. I feel he succeed and then some.

The range consists of hoodies, t-shirts, and denims that are what they call, “Future classics”. Some of their tops seem timeless, almost like it won’t be out of style in the next 5 years or more.

Ringspun seems to fit all types of individuals clothing styles. If you into Japanese Street Clothes, they got what you need. If you need something for the hood, they got something for yall too. Need something for the club; you might be screwed if it is a high class club. But, if it is a normal club they will keep you looking clean tho.

Where ever you are in the world, this brand must not be slept on. This brand of urban clothing passes the test of cool for all ages. If it don’t pass the test in your eyes, then you must be a square. Its not just me saying it; the streets will be saying it too. So, will you have Ringspun hanging in your closet?

T-Pain recently teamed up with some developers to create his own iPhone app, which allows anybody to get his auto-tune effect on the iPhone. Then on the 24th of August, T-Pain dropped a video on Youtube showing off the program to his musical peers. It is funny how some of these artist react to this. I thought everyone wanted to do Auto-tune these days and some of these people are scared to sing.

Locksmith – The Bay Area’s Goblin Eater

I am having problems typing right now. Locksmith just goes mega hard on this one. The visuals in the video just make you feel every word he spits. Then just looking at his face you can see that this man is hungry to take out MCs. He completely trashes the Hyphy rappers of the bay, but that kinda hurts. I like hyphy music, it is almost tribal.

One thing that a lot of people are feeling is that he attacks Kanye West and Lil’ Wayne on the track. This dude is on another planet with his rhymes. He is killed them before the battle had begun. Yes, I know that Wayne got rhymes and all, he is not on this dudes level. Its just like Mr. T “Clubber Lang” in Rocky III, dude is hungry and is calling out The Hip Hop Paper Champion.

I got a feeling this year is really gonna be big for Locksmith, even tho his political views are different from a lot of others out there in the world. That might damage him, but you gotta have an opinion don’t ya.

Sounds kinda hard-core, Beast Me. I really don’t know is this is what women what. Is this the new male stripper routine that is taking over? Some of the comments I have seen all the ladies have been saying the same thing, Damn. Damn, indeed! This dude does way too much, but if you are trying to get the extra dollar, then play on fool. Looking at this; if this man was trying to get this chick into the sack, what he does is beastly. You will just look at it and say wow if you are male or female. Take a look at the video and tell what you think. That takes effort and dedication.

What is the Jerk? How do you Jerk?

The Jerk – It has been said that this is a Los Angeles movement. Yes, a L.A. movement but it is getting bigger than that. It is sweeping North America at a rapid rate. I only know this by how many people view the New Boyz post on my blog. Not only that, but by how many views and comments on youtube happen. I like new dances. Some dances I feel and some I don’t. I am not feeling this one, just like I am still not feeling the Sixties Version. I am not hating on it at all, if you are having fun with it that is cool. All I know it is not my club dance.

What is Jerkin’? I found this on Wikipedia that Jerkin’ is:

The “movement” started in 2008 in Los Angeles (while the actual dance was started in 2006 being called swang) and spread across most of the Southern Calfiornia area (which is mostly still Los Angeles to some). Jerkin’ since 2009 has gained a fan base along the West Coast and has slowly gained popularity on the East Coast.

The Artists that people think that started the Jerk Movement are the New Boyz and Sean Payton. All you gotta do is type in the search engines is their names and you get videos on top of videos of the Jerk dance.

How do you Jerk? I have really no idea. I can’t teach you that, but in youtube(click this link) there is a endless supply of videos showing you how to jerk. Like this one down below:

There is plenty of material that is out there to improve or change you Jerk Style. Just hit up the video channels. Visuals will give you the edge in learning this stuff. Go look it up.

New Domain and New Host is right

The American street clothes blog was not updated for almost two weeks, but it is back now. This blog is back with a new address Americanstreetclothes.com (save this in your bookmarks).
